Acceptance of Our Human Complexities

This week’s headline items: the Balsamic Moon phase begins on Wednesday; Uranus starts to slow down (station) on Thursday, preparing to go retrograde; and the New Moon in Leo becomes exact on Sunday morning.

There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday early morning (for a little over 1 hour); Wednesday afternoon (a little over 1.5 hours); and Friday evening (a little over 9 hours).

Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, August 2nd:

Monday morning, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus until 4:46am EDT. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well.

In other words: change is not our favorite thing and “rushing things” goes against our grain. What is our favorite thing for the next two days? It’s probably slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses 😉

Monday very early morning, a Sun/Saturn opposition becomes exact at 2:14am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from July 29th on, it will remain strong until this Thursday (Aug. 5th). We are called to balance our unique creative self-expression and “desires” against a focus on our long-term commitments and contributions in society.

Give yourself permission to connect to your heart-energy. Be aware of what energizes you and brings you joy, and at the same time, take responsibility for putting a healthy foundation under any long-term commitments and contributions to society.

We may experience a lack of energy or confidence this week. We need to “buckle down”; this could be projected out into the world as limitations that arise from people or circumstances. Energetic blocks and a general feeling of slowdown are also possible.

Paradoxically though, we can also take this time to sort out our life, sift out goals or plans that are out of date, and thereby become more truthful to ourselves. Go slow and steady with this, as pushing too hard will backfire; ask yourself: Would you rather be “in control” or happy? This is also true when dealing with others — pushing will most likely backfire…

Do you have your Ascendant, Career point (or personal planets) in 7-13 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, or Scorpio? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Capricorn (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn rules Capricorn) 

Monday at 3:41am EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for a little over 1 hour, until 4:46am EDT. Use this intuitive time to wish for not only for peace and physical comfort, but also for a new understanding of your future visions — it’s important to explore what it could mean for humanity. You may need to make some adjustments between these two needs that are seemingly at odds.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday early morning ahead of time.

Monday at 4:46am EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Wednesday early evening. For the next 2.5 days, we like to learn, connect and interact as much as possible. “Busy” feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way…

The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead 🙂 As best as you can, be patient with yourself and others.

Monday, late evening, a harmonious Mercury/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 11:41pm EDT; we started to feel this aspect build from Sunday early morning (Aug 1st)on, it will remain strong until this Wednesday (Aug. 4th). This aspect is a wonderful possibility for active healing in regards to our conditioning and day to day thinking structures.

We can bring compassion, both for ourselves and for others, to communications that trigger us. We are able to allow more for our “inner playful child” to come out in unique ways as we share ourselves. Forgiveness and understanding towards ourselves and others comes more easily now in general.

This week’s headline items: Chiron resumes its normal pace (ending its station) on Monday; Mercury changes signs from Cancer to Leo late on Tuesday evening; Jupiter (currently retrograde) re-enters Aquarius on Wednesday; Mars changes signs from Leo to Virgo Thursday afternoon; the last Quarter Moon in Taurus becomes exact Saturday morning.

There will only be two Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday late evening (for almost 9 hours) and Friday afternoon (for a brief 30 minutes).

Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, July 26th:

Monday, the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day. It will journey there until Wednesday morning. This Moon placement often finds us more sensitive, intuitive, idealistic and imaginative than normal. We also have a greater capacity for compassion, sympathy, and affection for all — but especially for those who suffer or can be regarded as the underdog.

But… that very idealism could also be our downfall at this time: We tend to see the best in everyone and everything, and when reality doesn’t match our idyllic vision, we might feel upset and even victimized by those harsh realities. A way out of this is to channel our idealism into spiritual or creative endeavors.

It’s also a great time for releasing fears — especially the ones based on a sense of separation — and experiencing “oneness”. Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them — in fact, “going with the flow” is the best way to go for the next couple of days.

Monday early morning, we experience a need for inner adjustments. We feel uneasy or awkward and need to make a choice. Making this choice demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: on the one hand, the desire to be creative, outgoing and self-expressed — and on the other hand, the need to go within and be quiet, so we can hear the subtle voice of our intuition.  (Moon in Pisces quincunxes Sun in Leo, exact at 5:55am EDT)

Monday morning, we are invited to make clear choices when it comes to relating to others. Do your best to discern what works for you, and what doesn’t, while also connecting and engaging with a compassionate heart. (Moon in Pisces opposes Venus in Virgo, exact at 9:04am EDT)

Also on Monday, Chiron ends its Station phase and gets back to its normal pace through the sky — but appears to be moving backward through the sky (as seen from Earth — that’s what “retrograde” refers to). We have a chance to do some internal work on any wounding or insecurities around personal identity, physical appearance, or leadership abilities that came up over the last couple of weeks.

Spiritual Growth & Physical Wellbeing

This week’s headline items: Chiron in Aries is still exalted/stationing all week; Venus moves from Leo into Virgo on Wednesday evening; the Sun moves from Cancer into Leo on Thursday late morning. Late Friday evening, the Full Moon in Aquarius becomes exact.

There will be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday early afternoon (for a little over 4.5 hours); Wednesday evening (for a brief 10 mins); Friday early afternoon (for almost 8 hours); and Sunday evening (for a little over 4 hours).

Monday, July 19th:

Monday morning, the Moon remains passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio. It will journey there until 5:08pm EDT. We feel things deeply and have “X-Ray Vision” and “Bullshit-Smelling Abilities” 😉

Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us at this time; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as flat-out dishonest. Once we feel safe trusting someone, we want to merge with them, preferably forever… as long as our trust is never betrayed.

The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. This occurs by a process of subtraction — it urges us to let go of whatever disempowers us. It’s therefore an excellent time to look at “old” fears, limiting habits or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.

Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity — it’s “in or out”, “with us or against us”, “love me or leave me”. It can therefore be stormy — a cold winter storm, or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we “work” the energies 🙂

Manipulation and paranoia are the lower vibrations of this aspect, so as best you can, be straightforward — act in good faith and assume it in others. Best of all, be truly present to the fluctuations of your feelings — no matter if they’re “polite” or “timely”. Feelings aren’t facts, but they are information — and heeding them will help you embrace all of who you are.

Know thyself — and love thyself — you shall be set free. Remember: Love connects us to the Power within; Fear causes “Force” to show up — and that’s ultimately what disempowers us and others.

Monday late morning, a challenging Mercury/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 10:52am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Saturday evening (July 17th) on; and it will remain strong until Tuesday night. This combination might bring up some insecurities in our verbal, in-person or email interactions.

That said, this could also be an opportunity for healing; we are energized to move past harsh criticism of ourselves or others, towards more loving and compassionate structures for thinking and communicating. As best as you can, stretch yourself — and be open to bringing love and understanding to it all (and that includes you) 🙂

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point or any personal planets in 10-16 degree of Cancer, Aries, Capricorn or Libra? If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo).

Monday at 12:30pm EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for almost 4.5 hours until 5:08pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to enjoy familiar company and surroundings. Connect with others on a deep emotional level and nurture the ones closest to you (yourself included).

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday afternoon ahead of time.

Monday at 5:08pm EDT, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, where it will journey until Wednesday evening. We’re strongly motivated to explore and learn. We’re not likely to be big fans of routine — diversity and new adventures work best at this time — we’re also physically restless and need to burn that off with activity and physical exercise.

We tend to feel more open, optimistic and inspired — but we also have a high degree of independence — and taking these two influences together, this means we’d rather inspire others to do things our way, as opposed to issuing or obeying orders. Inspiring others could come easier than normal, as we can see the bigger picture, leaving us confident that others will agree with us, once they see what we see. As best as you can,…

This week’s headline items: Chiron, the Wounded Healer, remains exalted all week (still stationing until July 26th);  it is time to start taking actions on our New Moon intentions on Wednesday; Chiron comes to a halt in Aries on Thursday afternoon, starting its annual 5-month Retrograde phase; and the first Quarter Moon in Libra becomes exact on Saturday morning. 

There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday morning (for 20 hours); Thursday very early morning (almost 8 hours); and Saturday morning (a little over 7.5 hours).

Monday, July 12th:

Monday morning, the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo all day. We may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising.

We all love to be admired — or at the very least acknowledged — for our greatness 🙂 So hand out some compliments — let people know how proud you are of them, tell them how much you love them. Come from the heart in this and all other things… be honest and authentic, as best you can.

Fun, games and romance are a big part of this energy as well. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones. If there are no “outer children” around, how about getting in touch with your “inner child” — it’s definitely easier today. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps and heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, you let out a tiny squeak, just thinking of it?

Monday at 8:29am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for 20 hours until 4:30am EDT (Tuesday early morning). Use this intuitive time to practice active gratitude. As best as you can, be aware of taking a prideful stand, or taking something too personally. What personal goals or desires are you called to go after?

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday morning until Tuesday early morning ahead of time.

Monday afternoon, a harmonious Mercury/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 3:45pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Saturday evening (July 10) on; and it will remain strong until Wednesday afternoon. During this aspect, we are more optimistic, which is good, since we see the bigger picture, communicate more positively, and readily inspire others in practical ways.

We are tolerant of other perspectives and ideas, naturally avoid narrow-minded thinking, and feel at ease reconnecting with people from all walks of life — we might be drawn to explore family or spiritual relations with people from other cultures and countries, or to learn a foreign language that would support our emotional connections.
