Take It All In — Forecast April 29th – May 5th

""

This week’s headline items: Saturn comes to a halt and begins its yearly Retrograde phase on Monday evening. The New Moon in Taurus becomes exact on Saturday evening — and there will be three long Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday late afternoon (for almost 12.5 hours), Friday early morning (11.5 hours), and Sunday late morning (12.5 hours).

Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, April 29th:

Monday, the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day. This Moon placement often finds us more sensitive, intuitive, idealistic and imaginative than normal. We also have a greater capacity for compassion, sympathy, and affection for all — but especially for those who suffer or can be regarded as the underdog.

But… that very idealism could also be our downfall at this time: We tend to see the best in everyone and everything, and when reality doesn’t match our idyllic vision, we might feel upset and even victimized by those harsh realities. A way out of this is to channel our idealism into spiritual or creative endeavors.

It’s also a great time for releasing fears — especially the ones based on a sense of separation — and experiencing “oneness”. Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them — in fact, “going with the flow” is the best way to go for the next couple of days.

Monday early afternoon, we get an opportunity to be very present; also to connect with others and share practical advice, or simply enjoy “the good things in life”. As best as you can, bring a sense of flow and faith to who you are being, and allow yourself to slow down and connect with nature.

On Monday at 8:54pm EDT, Saturn comes to a halt in 20.5 degrees of Capricorn and begins its yearly retrograde phase until Sept. 18th. We will get very clear on what we are truly committed to — or not — and on how we are living our lives in regards to our physical reality. We will also get clear on what is realistic when it comes to achieving our goals.

This is partly because our physical realities may feel like they have come to a complete halt. Take a deep breath whenever you can, as often as you can (especially Sunday through Tuesday night of this week).

Saturn represents our structures, responsibilities, commitments — and our ability to “do” life on life’s terms. When this planet comes to a halt and turns retrograde, we get to see where we need to create or renew our commitments. As best as you can, take it all in and see where you would like to make adjustments. You will get a chance to do just that for the next 4.5 months.

If so, you will be more affected by this station and retrograde-phase. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Capricorn (Saturn being the ruler of Capricorn).

Tuesday, April 30th:

Tuesday, the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Monday for details).

Tuesday morning, we feel more sensitive and need to slow down a little. This is a great time for spiritual or creative endeavors. Energy work, or anything that requires our intuitive side, will work best for the next several hours.

Tuesday late morning, we get an opportunity to be wholly present — and also to focus on practicalities and long-term plans. As best as you can, bring a sense of flow and faith to your business dealings.

Tuesday afternoon, we have the opportunity to be guided by inspiration, and fully commit to a project or task that might serve us long-term. As best as you can, listen and trust to the subtle messages in your heart, that stir you towards success.

Tuesday at 5:57pm EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that last for almost 12.5 hours, until 6:24am EDT (Wednesday morning). We are experiencing two quite different needs pulling us in different directions: on the one hand, we strongly need to connect with a compassionate heart; on the other hand, we want to explore life and its meaning, beyond what we already know.

Do your best to use this intuitive time to make adjustments, slow things down a little, and find creative solutions that honor both drives. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Tuesday early evening until the Wednesday morning ahead of time.

Tuesday night/Wednesday very early morning, an opportune Mercury/Mars aspect becomes exact at 2:37am EDT. We started feeling this aspect from Monday morning on; it will be strong until Thursday evening. This aspect provides an opportunity to connect thought to action. Body and mind can align; words and deeds connect with ease. As with any opportunity, we have to “take” this one: it will not happen by itself.

Ask yourself: What actions call to me today? How are those actions connected to my personal projects? What might sharing something that I feel passionate about allow me to do?

One other thing worth mentioning: since April 17th, Mercury in Aries has been in a “mutual reception” with Mars in Gemini — in other words, these planets are in each other’s signs until May 6th; during that time, they support each others agenda. We seek out mental stimulation: sharing, teaching, learning, writing, etc…. and we want to move fast! Patience is not on top of our list…

Our disdain for routine keeps us busy; we may feel quite fidgety or full of nervous energy. As best as you can, make lists, focus on things that support your well-being in all areas of your life — and most of all: choose wisely! Ask yourself: what might I discover about myself and my desires if I allowed myself to listen?

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 18-22 degrees of Aries, Gemini, Leo, or Aquarius? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Aries (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Mars rules Aries).

Wednesday, May 1st:

Wednesday, the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces and VoC until 6:24am EDT (see Monday morning and Tuesday early evening for details).

Wednesday early morning, a challenging Mercury/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 4:50am EDT. We start to feel this aspect build from Monday morning on; it will remain strong until Thursday evening. This aspect asks us to stretch a little, to grow and mature. Watch out for misunderstandings or rigid thinking, not only when it comes to interacting with others, but also when it comes to your own inner dialog.

On the one hand, Mercury in Aries wants us to communicate in a fast, direct, and uncompromising manner… On the other hand, Saturn in Capricorn reminds us that before we can think about what we want to create or bring forth, we need to look at the reality of how long things take to manifest — we must slow down, get present to the quality we want to produce.

Ask yourself: If this is a long-term goal, am I truly building for the long-term? What is the worst that could happen if I rushed, or skipped over some steps?

As best as you can, find creative ways to connect to your passions, while remaining committed to exploring them one step at a time, and ask: What is my life calling me to explore? Could I go for it (one step at a time)?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 17-24 degrees of Aries, Capricorn, Libra or Cancer? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Capricorn (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Saturn rules Capricorn)

Wednesday at 6:24am EDT, the Moon moves into pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Friday afternoon. Life is an adventure, we’re more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately.

Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body’s excess energy.

Wednesday evening, a somewhat challenging Mars/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 8:17am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Friday evening (April 26th) on; it will be strong until this Sunday evening. This aspect contributes to feeling either a lack of physical energy, or a need to focus on our commitments.

We feel uneasy about something, sort of awkward — and we need to make a choice — first though, we must develop an inner awareness of what exactly needs adjusting. Too much work, too many commitments or too much perfectionism could leave us feeling de-energized right now.

We create our own limits; slowing and quieting down helps us see this. If we have a better sense of time, we can do less and achieve more — and we can do this as soon as we manage our commitments and start to use our judgment for discernment, rather than “compare and despair”. Could you let go, just for now, of wanting to rank things in order? Could you let go, just for now, of wanting to create hierarchy?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 17-23 degrees of Gemini or Capricorn? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Capricorn (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Saturn rules Capricorn).

Thursday, May 2nd:

Thursday, the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Wednesday morning for details).

Thursday early evening, a challenging Mercury/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 5:51pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday evening on, it will be strong until Saturday morning. This aspect creates some tension in our lives. We may feel anxious or stressed by one or more situations or interactions to do with our own personal goals or passions.

We are being invited to grow and make some changes in our lives, particularly in terms of our thinking processes. We are being asked to find creative solutions and be completely honest with ourselves and others. The best way to achieve this is by the continual practice of self-care and self-nurturing.

We have tremendous focus and drive right now, which can tip into obsession. With this aspect an all-or-nothing attitude is very likely. Choose love over fear whenever possible. Not many people enjoy being second-guessed all the time, yet that is something that we are inclined to do now.

However, our determination to get to the bottom of any matter, to rip away falsehoods and expose true motives, can be used for good if we employ it in our work, for example, in regards to investigations or research. This is an opportunity to learn to harness our intense mental energy and apply it productively. We are also capable of very hard work, focus and effort now.

We have a great love of debate, but should be careful that we don’t overpower others with our strong opinions, attempting to “convert” them to our frame of mind, or treat regular exchanges of opinion as battlegrounds. Connect to yourself and others, empowering yourself/them with what you feel passionate about.

Choose your words/thoughts carefully, from a deeply connected and empowered place rather than from a place of fear, self-protection or a need for survival. Be aware of impulsiveness when sharing or responding — as a matter of fact, for the four days this aspect is in place, ask yourself: Am I reacting out of fear or responding from conscious awareness? Which is informing what’s being shared or communicated — my past or my present?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 20-26 degrees of Aries, Capricorn, Libra or Cancer? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Scorpio (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Pluto rules Scorpio).

Thursday late evening, we are invited to make some adjustments in our lives and find creative solutions to seemingly incompatible situations. On the one hand, we are invited to focus on building solid foundations under any long-term goals currently underway. Some helpful questions you could ask yourself: What benefits might I reap from taking it one step at a time?

On the other hand, we have this need to make time for personal desires and needs; here, you could ask yourself: What does my inner teenager require to be happy at this time?

Thursday late, late evening, a harmonious Mercury/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 11:59pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday night on, it will be strong until Saturday. During this aspect, we are more optimistic and energized — which is good, since we see the bigger picture, communicate more positively and readily inspire others.

We are tolerant of other perspectives and ideas, naturally avoid narrow-minded thinking, and feel at ease reconnecting with people from all walks of life. We might be drawn to exploring foreign languages, cultures, and countries.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 20-27 degrees of Aries, Sagittarius, or Leo? If so, you will feel most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Jupiter of Sagittarius).

Friday, May 3rd:

Friday, the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries until 4:18pm EDT (see Wednesday morning for details).

Friday very early morning, we are also invited to make adjustments and find creative solutions around personal desires and needs, versus our deep passion and focus on long-term goals. As best as you can, allow yourself to make space for both; flexibility and adaptability are key if we mean to move forward with our plans and projects…

Friday early morning, we feel an enthusiasm for personal achievement and exploration; in particular, we have an urge to explore something new that helps us develop an all-around understanding of the bigger picture. What might you be able to explore right now that you haven’t so far? What’s calling to you?

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Friday early morning until the late afternoon ahead of time.

Friday at 4:18pm EDT, the Moon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will journey until Sunday late evening. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well. In other words: change is not our favorite thing and “rushing things” goes against our grain.

What is our favorite thing for the next two days? It’s probably, slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses 😉 This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the New Moon (exact Saturday evening).

Friday late evening, If possible, connect with people that can support your visions on a practical level, and share with them what you have going on.

Saturday, May 4th:

Saturday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Friday afternoon for details).

This New Moon in steady, peaceful Taurus places more focus on our interactions with the physical world — you could say that we seek a healthier relationship with “matter”, one in which we are neither too attached, or too disconnected from our bodies, resources (such as money), and the planet we co-inhabit. We are powerfully reminded to take the time to honor the only planet we can currently live on — The Earth — we are called on to honor its resources and beauty.

In much the same spirit, we are invited also to honor ourselves, our bodies, our talents. This is a good time for reevaluating our relationship to money and possessions, and for discovering what truly makes us happy and fulfilled. Check in with yourself: What came to mind when you read this?

Now, let’s talk about some of the aspects in this New Moon chart: The New Moon sextiles Neptune in Pisces and trines the South Node and Saturn in Capricorn. Saturn also happens to be exalted at the time of the New Moon,…

The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle. This is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact — and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase. So this month, the best and most potent time to set intentions would be between 6:45pm on Saturday, May 4th until 11:10am Sunday late morning; then again, at 11:40pm Sunday late evening until 6:45pm Monday evening (May 6th) — all of the above times are given in US East Coast-time.

Note, that there is a long Moon void of course on Sunday late morning — it runs from 11:10am EDT until 11:40pm EDT. Don’t set your intentions during that 12.5 hours — instead, allow intuition to surface possible intentions while you wait. For more info on setting New Moon Intentions, click here.

If you live in a timezone other than EDT (US-Eastern Daylight Savings Time), feel free to join my Facebook Fan-page or follow me on twitter. I will be posting reminders on Saturday evening, Sunday morning, and Monday — to let you know that it’s the best time to set your intentions 😉

Do you have your Ascendant or any personal planets in 12-16 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Sunday, May 5th:

Sunday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus until 11:40pm EDT (see Friday afternoon for details).

Sunday morning, a somewhat challenging Mars/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 8:29am EDT. We started to feel this connection from this Tuesday evening on; it will be strong until next week, Thursday evening (May 9th). We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward — and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed in order to see what needs adjusting.

As best as you can, evaluate any projects before getting involved; our great energy and genuine humanitarian spirit could feed other people’s unrealistic expectations, leaving us feeling drained and unappreciated.

If we are able to reevaluate our everyday habits and inner dialog, we will see whether or not they really support our long term goals. If you have the choice, go deeper rather than faster — empower yourself and others by thinking long-term, rather than zooming into multiple directions, trying to do everything at once.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 20-26 degrees of Gemini or Capricorn? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Scorpio (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Pluto rules Scorpio).

Sunday at 11:10am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that last for 12.5 hours, until 11:40pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to empower each other in regards to earthly issues and mutually support each other in practical, yet enjoyable ways.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday late morning until the late evening ahead of time.

Sunday early evening, a Mars/Jupiter opposition becomes exact at 5:57pm EDT. We started to feel this opposition build from this Wednesday evening on; it will remain strong until next week, Thursday evening (May 9th).

Back in January 2018, we experienced a Mars/Jupiter conjunction in almost 18 degrees of Scorpio: What seeds of expansion got planted in your life back then? Which of those seeds have sprouted and flourished? Which might need a little extra something to help them bear fruit?

The following are particularly important to us between May 1st and May 9th: Our religious or philosophical beliefs, our ability to actively explore new perspectives or have new adventures, and our desire to get started on projects and personal goals (especially anything that is connected to teaching, sharing, communication or marketing). We need to find the balance point between these desires.

On the other hand, we are also optimistic, enthusiastic and impulsive; while this can be very attractive, some of us may have some difficulty getting along with people, since we tend to be more competitive than cooperative. This competitiveness is not aggression: we simply enjoy a good spirited contest.

As we have an abundant physical energy at this time, we may consider channeling this energy into exercising or outdoor activities like hiking. We may also feel more restless at this time and we may need a lot of personal freedom. We are enterprising and ambitious — we want to “make it big” — so watch out that you are not overreaching. How might you catch yourself if you started to do that?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career point (or any personal planets) in 20-27 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Pisces or Virgo? If so, you may feel the effects of this opposition more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Sagittarius. Sunday at 11:40pm EDT, the Moon move into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until next week Wednesday early morning (May 8th). For the next several days, we like to learn, connect and interact as much as possible.

“Busy” feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way… The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead 🙂

And…

A heads up for next Monday (May 6th): the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini all day (see Sunday late evening for details). In the morning, the Moon in Gemini sextiles Chiron in Aries, exact at 7:27am EDT. At 2:25pm EDT, Mercury changes signs from Aries to Taurus, where it will journey until May 21st. More about the details in next week’s forecast 🙂

Saturday evening, at 6:45pm EDT, the New Moon in 14 degrees of Taurus becomes exact. This marks the beginning of a new Moon cycle. As best as you can, get really quiet, and see if you are getting any new messages or ideas. If you are, harvest them, and fold them into any intentions you set for the new Moon cycle — I will talk about this process later in the forecast, and I’ll even give you the very best and most potent times for doing it 🙂 Click here to watch my video on the subject.

Friday at 4:47am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that last for 11.5 hours, until 4:18pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to connect with others (and with yourself) on a passionate level. Communicate your needs without apologies, share about your personal goals or projects, perhaps even actively engage in a project or activity with others.
