Feminine/Masculine Dynamics

""This week’s headline items: Mercury starts to slow down (station) on Monday, and this station will intensify on Thursday; on Tuesday afternoon, it’s time to start taking action on our New Moon intentions; on Wednesday afternoon, the first Saturn/Uranus Square of the year becomes exact; the Sun changes signs from Aquarius to Pisces on Thursday morning; the first Quarter Moon in Gemini becomes exact on Friday early afternoon — and last but not least, on Saturday evening, Mercury ends its 3-week Retrograde phase, going direct and beginning its post-Shadow phase.

There will also be four Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday evening (for almost 3 hours), Friday very early morning (for a little over 8.5 hours) and Sunday early afternoon (for a little over 9 hours).

Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday Feb. 15th:

Monday, the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day. It will journey there until Tuesday late evening. Life is an adventure, we’re more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately.

Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body’s excess energy.

Monday early morning, we get an opportunity to take actions on our personal goals, in a very concrete way and bring a new level of focus and authenticity to our future visions.

Monday early afternoon, we get an opportunity to connect with others and share our personal vision and dreams — and maybe make a difference in our current communities.

Monday late evening, we have an opportunity to connect with like-minded people and move a project forward that is dear to us. It’s time for action: What small (or even large) action steps could you take? Or is it a question of “who” rather than “how”?

Also, Monday, Mercury starts to slow down again (“stationing”). It’s getting ready to come to a halt, ending its 3-week Retrograde phase, on Saturday (more on that later…). For the next 11 days (until Feb. 26th), we need to be patient with ourselves and others — especially if there is a connection with communication or transportation, and their associated technologies. As best as you can, give yourself and others a lot of space!

This is not the best time to start anything brand-new, especially if it contains new information that needs to be processed.

We might experience delays or misunderstandings, and things tend to feel “off” or stagnant. It might be a good idea to give yourself some extra time to get ready for travel somewhere — especially if you intend to use public transportation or drive (for more details on Mercury Shadow Phases and Retrogrades, click here)

We also talked about the Mercury Retrograde phase in Aquarius — and how it impacts each one of us personally — in our last Forecasting Forum. Some of us will feel the effects of the Mercury station more than others: those of us who have Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant); and those of us with personal planets in 10-14 degrees of Aquarius, Taurus, Leo or Scorpio.

Tuesday, Feb. 16th:

Tuesday, the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries, until 10:12pm EST (see Monday morning for details)

Tuesday at 7:17pm EST, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for almost 3 hours, until 10:12pm EST. This intuitive time provides an opportunity to look at our various communities or group affiliations and find ways to bring our personal touch or leadership style to our common vision for the future.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Tuesday evening ahead of time.

Tuesday at 10:12pm EST, the Moon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will journey until Friday late morning. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well. In other words: change is not our favorite thing and “rushing things” goes against our grain.

What is our favorite thing for the next two days? It’s probably, slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses 😉

Also, Tuesday before 7:17pm or after 10:12pm EST, if you set intentions last week Friday or Saturday after the New Moon became exact, today will be the best time to start taking relevant actions. If you wrote your intentions down, go back and take another look at what came through intuitively. If you didn’t write anything down, get quiet for a moment and check in with yourself: What actions are calling to you?

Wednesday, Feb. 17th:

Wednesday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Tuesday late evening for details).

Wednesday early afternoon: we are being asked to make some creative choices — on the one hand, we need to make room for peace and physical pleasure; on the other, we need to focus on our visions for the future, and see what’s realistic for us and for humanity. We may need to make some adjustments between these two seemingly irreconcilable needs.

Also on Wednesday early afternoon: we are asked to connect with people with similar values who can provide practical support for our visions, and to share with them what is important to us.

Wednesday afternoon, the first Saturn/Uranus Square of the year becomes exact at 2:08pm EST. We started to feel this aspect build from Jan. 18th on, it will remain strong until July 18th (due to Saturn’s Retrograde phase that begins in May). This aspect asks us to stretch a little or a lot (individually and collectively). We can’t expect much of anything during this time… except the unexpected!

Future visions and humanitarian causes — especially those connected to like-minded people — are quite likely to experience disruption, calling for flexibility and creative solutions.

During this transit, we feel a great need to make progress, as we feel quite restless — maybe even anxious — but if we’re unclear on what is in our best interest, we might focus on things that don’t serve us in the long run.

This aspect tells us that if we redefine our need to fit in and belong, we can find a more authentic connection with our own values; we are also invited to stay detached in our social dealing with others — honoring our own individuality without making anyone else wrong for being different or “themselves”.

Ask yourself: Are other people’s choices and preferences really about me (in other words, do I need to take them personally)? Could I give the “choosing” of other people the space that it needs, so I can honor what’s important to me, without taking things personally?

What might become possible if I expressed myself fully, knowing that others may have a different opinion to me, and that’s ok? How might that impact my current communities (whether physical or online)?

Saturn in Aquarius wants us to focus on realistic progress with our technologies, inventions, and long-term visions for the collective. While in Taurus, Uranus, on the other hand, prods us to get back to the basics — to what really matters, what is sustainable (for the whole planet), and what is best for all living beings.

Given this, ask yourself: What does my body require before I can think about connecting with others? Where am I feeling a need for more spaciousness? What does my physical reality require before I can think about what to create for the future? Where do I need to “think out of the box”? Could I give myself permission to hold some space for things to reorganize themselves physically? How about mentally? Could I allow for this to happen slowly? Without needing to rush into anything? Without pushing others or myself?

Keep in mind that things sometimes need to break down in order for them to be reorganized in a more sustainable way. Individually, this can be related to the area of life in your birth chart that Saturn and Uranus are currently transiting through; collectively, it can show up in sudden shifts and changes in our social or financial structures (or in physical shifts in the Earth’s structure).

If you had to sum this year up with one word, “unexpected” would be a great one to pick — and as best as you can, embrace rather than fear this — see it as opening possibilities for tremendous progress, long-term changes in social interactions, and more beneficial relationships to the planet, and to our physical and material world.

Remember, this only feels uncomfortable because it’s new, different, unfamiliar. Could you allow yourself to be 5% more comfortable with being uncomfortable?

If you would like to learn how the Saturn/Uranus Squares in Aquarius/Taurus will impact you personally throughout 2021, feel free to join us on Feb. 26th for the next Forecasting Forum.

EARLY BIRD SPECIAL is still available until Feb. 23rd at midnight EST!!!

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 4-14 degrees of Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, or Scorpio? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aquarius or Capricorn (the Saturn rules Capricorn; Uranus rules Aquarius).

Thursday, Feb. 18th:

Thursday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Tuesday late evening for details).

Thursday morning, at 5:44am EST, the Sun changes signs from freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius to creative, compassionate Pisces, where it will journey until March 20th. This brings our awareness to our sense of oneness with everyone and everything around us. We feel like sponges, able to pick up all energy around us; this also makes us more sensitive and emotional. We are more drawn towards expressing ourselves in a creative or spiritual way.

Music or energy healing gives us vitality and can heighten our own personal vibrations. We need to slow down a little and listen to our intuition more fully — if we ignore our feelings and the subtle messages we are getting, we will most likely feel more anxious and somewhat frustrated. This could also be connected to the slow pace that our body or our surroundings are demanding of us.

The keyword here is “allowing”: as best as you can, be aware of what you are resisting, moment to moment, and create some space — allow it to be as it is. Notice when you are sensing someone else’s feelings rather than your own.

All this is especially true if you are a Leo or Pisces Sun-sign or Rising-sign. As a Pisces, you will feel a good dose of confidence and playfulness in the next four weeks; as a Leo your vitality will depend on allowing things to flow and being gentle with yourself.

Thursday afternoon, we have an opportunity to meet our need for material comfort with a gentler, more intuitive approach. Inner and outer beauty is key!

Thursday early evening, On the one hand, we need to experience peace and physical pleasure; on the other, we want to connect with like-mined people around our future visions. You could frame this as “Massage? Or Astrology Gathering?” 🙂

However this shows up for us, we may need to make some adjustments or find creative solutions between two needs that are seemingly at odds.

Also, on Thursday: Mercury’s Station phase intensifies until Feb. 22nd, as Mercury is preparing to come to halt on Saturday- Feb. 20th — ending its 3-week Retrograde phase (more on that later…). During this intensified Station phase, we feel Mercury’s energies even more strongly.

For the next 5 days, we need to be even more patient with ourselves and others — especially if there is a connection with communication or transportation, and their associated technologies. As best as you can, give yourself and others a lot of space!

This is not the best time to start anything brand-new, especially if it contains new information that needs to be processed.

We also talked about the Mercury Retrograde phase in Aquarius — and how it impacts each one of us personally — in our last Forecasting Forum. If you haven’t seen it yet, feel free to click here to get the 90 min. webinar. (Star Members already have access to this webinar, I sent it out an email on Jan. 29th)

Some of us will feel the effects of the Mercury station more than others: those of us who have Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant); and those of us with personal planets in 10-14 degrees of Aquarius, Taurus, Leo or Scorpio.

Friday, Feb. 19th:

Friday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus until 11:04am EST (see Tuesday late evening for details).

Friday at 2:28am EST, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for a little over 8.5 hours, until 11:04am EST. Use this intuitive time to empower each other in regards to earthly issues and mutually support each other in practical ways.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Friday morning ahead of time.

Friday at 11:04am EST, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Sunday late evening. For the next two days, we like to learn, connect and interact as much as possible.

“Busy” feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way… The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead :-)This Moon placement starts the build up towards the first Quarter Moon (exact later today).

Friday early afternoon, at 1:47pm EST, the first Quarter Moon in almost 1.5 degrees of Gemini becomes exact (we started to feel this aspect build from the moment the Moon entered Gemini earlier today). The Moon in chatty, versatile Gemini makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in sensitive, compassionate Pisces.

We feel compelled to take action. Last week on Feb. 11th, the New Moon in Aquarius became exact: “Seeds” planted then are probably “sprouting” by now — and making their first real contact with the outside world. This is therefore a time to stretch and grow — and create some forward momentum. We may feel anxious or unusually busy.

As best as you can, go one breath at a time. Allow for changes, remain flexible (as much as possible), and find creative solutions for your day-to-day interactions with others.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in any of the following: 0-4 degrees of Gemini, Pisces, Sagittarius, Virgo or 29 degrees of Taurus, Aquarius, Leo, or Scorpio? If so, you will feel the effects of this first Quarter Moon more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Friday early evening, a challenging Venus/Mars aspect becomes exact at 6:04pm EST. We started to feel this aspect build from Monday afternoon on; it will remain strong until next week, Tuesday evening (Feb. 24th). This aspect asks that we stretch ourselves with regard to the feminine/masculine dynamic as it manifests both “inside” and “outside”: A shift needs to occur.

This can show up in several ways, either through romantic and sexual tensions that we might experience with others. We may tease each other, flirt with each other and/or play hard to get.

Or we may find ourselves arguing in a very passionate way with the opposite sex. Competitiveness, anger, frustration, or angst might be present. Either way, this could be a very passionate time. Balancing and integrating masculine & feminine energies within ourselves would be very useful at this time.

If we are experiencing these energies internally, we might want to pursue physical or material stability — but also want to connect to our vision, and attract like-minded people who could share it with us.

The challenge here might be that we want to connect in the world with others, thus bringing about a future that we can feel excited about (i.e. visionary, mental desires), while also “getting ahead” and doing things that further our own sense of self-worth or stability (i.e. financial stability, physical satisfaction). What if you made room for both of these energies?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or personal planets in 19-26 degrees of Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, or Scorpio? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Aries (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Mars is the ruler of Aries)

Saturday, Feb. 20th:

Saturday, the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini all day (see Friday late morning for details).

Saturday very early morning: consider connecting with others, socializing, and taking a compassionate approach toward yourself and others, especially when it comes to personal goals and passions. Ask yourself: what if taking a compassionate approach towards myself and others actually made for more fulfilling connections?

Also, Saturday very early morning, we sense harmonious connections even though we are focused on making progress. Where our visions for the future are concerned, we are invited to bring a new level of authenticity, and make realistic choices around connecting with others.

Saturday late morning, we get a chance to connect with like-minded people, and share unique information or something connected to the future.

Saturday afternoon, we get a chance to connect with like-minded people, expand each other’s minds, and share information that allows us to see the bigger picture.

Saturday evening, at 7:52pm EST, Mercury comes to a halt in 11 degrees of Aquarius and slowly starts its direct motion, after its 3-week Retrograde phase. As best as you can, go with the flow, keep an open mind and pay attention to anything that is in your face right now — you may need to address those issues again, when Mercury moves through its post-Shadow phase…more on that in a moment…

We are slowly ready to shift our focus back towards the outer world again, taking in new information and sharing from a new perspective.

Ask yourself: What did I learn about my affiliations with like-minded people over the past 3 weeks? How might I share my findings in a healthy way with others? What needs to be addressed with regards to group experiences, humanitarian causes, or technology?

What have I discovered in regards to this question: If I knew I actually could make a difference, what difference would I make?

When Mercury gets back to its regular speed (by Feb. 26th), communication and transportation will get back to normal; the same is true of any associated gadgets, vehicles, etc.

Some of us will feel the effects of this station more than others: those of us with Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) — and those of us with personal planets (or angles) in 11-13 degrees of Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, or Scorpio?

Also, Saturday at 7:52pm EST, Mercury’s post-Shadow phase begins — lasting until March 12th…. as you may recall, I mentioned Mercury Shadow phases in this update a few weeks back: If you want to buy, sell or ship big-ticket items, it’s best to avoid the periods shortly before Mercury goes retrograde, and after it goes direct.

This is especially true if the items are connected to technology, transportation (cars, plane tickets, etc.) or communication (phone, computer, iPad, etc.) Click here to read my blog on the subject.

Sunday, Feb. 21st:

Sunday, the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini until 10:53pm EST (see Friday late morning for details).

Sunday at 1:39pm EST, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for a little over 9 hours, until 10:53pm EST. Use this intuitive time to connect with others, socialize, and share information with them.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday early afternoon until the late evening ahead of time.

Sunday at 10:53pm EST, the Moon moves into protective, nurturing Cancer, where it will journey until next week, Wednesday morning (Feb. 24th). With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say and therefore our feelings are more easily hurt — so be kind to yourself and others. Self-Care is key for the next two days 😉

Emotional safety is important to us as well; we like connecting to the familiar and we enjoy nurturing ourselves and others — home and family call to us, for instance. Make sure though, that your glass is filled before letting others drink from it, otherwise you might start to feel drained and resentful.
