Experience A New Depth of Intimacy
This week’s headline items: Mercury changes signs from Leo to Virgo on Wednesday; Uranus’ Station intensifies on Thursday; it is time to start taking actions on our New Moon intentions on Friday; on Sunday, the First Quarter Moon in Scorpio becomes exact.
There will be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday morning (for 2.5 hours); Wednesday morning (for almost 9 hours); Friday late afternoon (for almost 3.5 hours) and Sunday late evening (for a brief 7 minutes).
Before we get to this week’s forecast, I’d like to share:

Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, August 9th:
Monday, the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo until 10:56am EDT. We may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising. We all love to be admired — or at the very least acknowledged — for our greatness 🙂
So hand out some compliments — let people know how proud you are of them, tell them how much you love them. Come from the heart in this and all other things… be honest and authentic, as best you can. Fun, games and romance are a big part of this energy as well. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones.
If there are no “outer children” around, how about getting in touch with your “inner child” — it’s definitely easier for the next two days. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps and heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, you let out a tiny squeak, just thinking of it?
Monday before 8:23am or after 10:56am EDT: If you haven’t set your New Moon Intentions yet, there is still time! You have until 9:50am EDT tomorrow (Tuesday). If possible, align them with the New Moon energies that I spoke about in my last video — feel free to watch it again if you are not sure anymore — click here to watch my video on the New Moon in Leo.

Monday very early morning, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 3:03am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Sunday early morning (Aug 8th) on; and it will remain strong until Tuesday early morning. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, awkward, and need to make a choice — so we need to develop inner awareness.
Our compulsive side may lead us down a path that evades rational understanding. Our judgments — of circumstances, ourselves, others — can be so extreme during this aspect that we can’t seem to make intelligent and consistent progress in our lives for the three days it is in effect.
As best as you can, strive to be more trusting, and less strict with yourself for these three days — and surrender to whatever you are experiencing right now… like everything else, it’s temporary. Flexibility and a playful attitude could be helpful too 😉
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 24-26 degrees of Leo or Capricorn? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo, or Scorpio (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio).
Monday at 8:23am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for 2.5 hours until 10:56am EDT. Use this intuitive time to choose clearly when it comes to expanding your perspective around a cause or like-minded people. Do your best to find a balance between your need for heartfelt, joyful self-expression in the here and now, and for moving into an intellectually stimulating and inspirational future.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday morning ahead of time.
Monday at 10:56am EDT, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Wednesday afternoon. We are generous with our time/services and we love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world — things and knowledge we can apply and use.
Health might also come into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals.
Monday evening, a Venus/Neptune opposition becomes exact at 8:20pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last week Saturday morning (Aug 7th) on; and it will remain strong until Thursday morning. We are ready to dissolve anything that we valued in the past that no longer serves either ourselves or humanity.
Our relationships might feel confusing or disappointing, they might even be some of the things “dissolving” — but this is helping us get more connected with our inner knowingness, or our inner sensing of what feels “right”. Compassion may play a big role in our interactions.
This also might not be the best time to start a new relationship, as we have the tendency to idealize others, leading to disappointment down the line. As best as you can, find your inner balance with what’s real and what’s not… and allow others to be human, limitations and all 😉
Financially, we may want to invest in creative or spiritual endeavors that include others, but hold off on buying anything concrete or practical until after Aug. 12th.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 19-26 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, or Sagittarius? Do you have an Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Pisces? If so, you will feel…

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 19-26 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune rules Pisces).
Tuesday, Aug. 10th:
Tuesday, the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo, all day (see Monday late morning for details). If you haven’t set your New Moon Intentions yet, there is still time! You have until 9:50am EDT today (Tuesday).
If possible, align them with the New Moon energies that I spoke about in my last video — feel free to watch it again if you are not sure anymore ==> click here to watch my video on the New Moon in Leo.
For more info on how to best set your New Moon Intentions, click here to read my article on the subject.
Tuesday evening, a Mercury/Jupiter opposition becomes exact at 9:20pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Monday morning on; and it will remain strong until this Thursday morning. This asks us to find the balance between our need for fun, laughter, and social connections out there in the world.
We are also invited to balance what we think we need to be happy and authentically ourselves, versus social expectations, for example those coming from our networks or communities (both online and local).
We generally feel quite optimistic at this time, perhaps overly so: The urge to grow and expand is strong, but we can overreach — perhaps by overlooking critical details and thereby miscalculating.
We might be inclined to exaggerate, then have a hard time putting our ideas and goals into practice. That said, we can also be extraordinarily funny and interesting at this time, especially in our business dealings 🙂
Expect a lot of talking and sharing — and possibly some over-thinking or impulsive communication. Impatience is likely a side-effect of this aspect as well… As best as you can, take an “observer” position toward your mind: listen to your thoughts, catch yourself thinking.
Ask yourself: What benefits might I reap if I started listening to my own thoughts 5% more without needing to do anything about them? Might that contribute to having more joy in my life? Might I be able to see the bigger picture more easily from the observer position? What role could humor play in all of this?
In other words: as best as you can, practice listening, to yourself, to others, and to your body. Listening is an art form that makes it easier to tap into our own inner wisdom and our body’s wisdom.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 25-29 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio, or 0-2 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Jupiter of Sagittarius).
Wednesday, Aug. 11th:
Wednesday, the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo, until 4:08pm EDT (see Monday late morning for details).
Wednesday at 7:22am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for almost 9 hours until 4:08pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to empower each other around earthly issues and support each other in practical ways. Your attention to detail is enhanced; you might implement new health routines or other systems that support your long-term goals.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Wednesday morning until the late afternoon ahead of time.
Wednesday at 4:08pm EDT, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Friday evening. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.
We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time, and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. These next two days are a great time for mediation — but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might like.
We may also be able to see both sides of the equation so well that we can’t make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm — even if it’s “No” 😉 One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.
Wednesday early evening, at 5:57pm EDT, Mercury changes signs from prideful, fun-loving Leo to detail-oriented, practical Virgo. Mercury will journey through the sign of Virgo until Aug 30th.
Mercury in Virgo sharpens our thinking: We see clearly and are more inclined to direct our energy towards day-to-day, practical matters.
Creating order in our daily lives, knowing what’s coming next, organizing, planning on a short-term scale, doing errands: All this will come easier. This stands in contrast to our ability to go with the flow, be present, have faith that things will turn out well, no matter what: not so easy 🙂
We may feel that we do things better than others right now and thereby deny them a chance to improve their skills or show us a different method.
As best as you can, be of service to others — and remember that perfection is lovely when we treat it as a journey and a tyrant when we set it as a goal. What if you aimed at continuous, never-ending improvement, rather than at a frozen “perfect”?
Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo? If so, you will feel the need for organization and improvements more strongly.
Wednesday evening, a harmonious Venus/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 6:46pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Monday morning on; and it will remain strong until this Saturday morning. This aspect brings a fruitful and rewarding period in our lives. We experience a new depth of intimacy (with an existing or new partner), we learn to appreciate the important people in our lives, and our value system transforms and evolves.
This is likely an excellent period for finances as well. Work we’ve done might pay off, and we are able to manage our finances better, with more attention to detail, planning, and strategy — as well as the elimination of anything that no longer serves us. We might renew a commitment, or bring new, deeper and more intimate energy into a relationship under the influence of this aspect.
Our sexual lives might get a real boost now, as we tend to want to connect on a deeper level. We might find ourselves strongly attracted to someone, almost to the point of obsession. If this aspect connects with any of your personal planets, you might just meet the “love of your life”.
One thing is for sure — relationships experienced now are bound to be unforgettable. While this transit tends to signal new or strengthened relationships, any relationship that ends during this cycle may leave us feeling liberated.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 22-28 degrees of Virgo, Capricorn, or Taurus? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Scorpio (Venus being the ruler of Taurus and Libra, while Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio).
Thursday, Aug. 12th:
Thursday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Wednesday late afternoon for details).
Thursday morning, we sense harmonious connections even though we are focused on making progress. Where our visions for the future are concerned, we are invited to bring a new level of authenticity, and make realistic choices around connecting with others.(Moon in Libra trines Saturn in Aquarius, exact at 8:32am EDT)
Thursday early afternoon, we become more aware that we need to find a balance between two very different energies — on the one hand, taking a compassionate approach towards our personal goals, while being assertive in the world — and on the other hand, our need to connect and collaborate with others. Ask yourself: what if taking a compassionate approach towards myself actually made for more fulfilling connections with others? (Moon in Libra opposes Chiron in Aries, exact at 2:02pm EDT)
Thursday early evening, calls for some inner adjustments, as we feel uneasy or awkward, and need to make a choice. Making this choice demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: on the one hand, we want to innovate in the area of our values (and maybe also have some financial breakthroughs); on the other hand, we feel the need to attend to our one-on-one relationships, supporting them — and perhaps collaborating. (Moon in Libra quincunxes Uranus in Taurus, exact at 5:48pm EDT)
Also, on Thursday, the Uranus Station intensifies in 14.5 degrees of Taurus until Aug 25th. It will come to a complete halt next week, Thursday (Aug. 19th) in almost 15 degrees of Taurus, starting its yearly 5-month retrograde phase (more about that next week…).
To see how this impacts your personal chart, watch my latest webinar: “Uranus in Taurus Exalted, August 2021”. I highly recommend this! Click here for more info or to purchase. Current Star Members, already received the mp4-video recording of this webinar. Please check your email 😉
When an outer planet stations, its energy gets more pronounced, and this can sometimes cause discomfort. We are being asked to hang out with that discomfort until the planet’s energy picks up speed again around Sept. 2nd (when the station phase has ended).
Definitely expect the unexpected. Uranus is all about breaking away from traditional structures and moving towards a new future — one that serves others as well as ourselves. Its keyword is “Freedom”: this aspect provides an opportunity to discover how free we actually feel. So… how free do you feel? 😉
As best as you can for the next 3 weeks, pull whatever is “in your face” even closer and take a good long look at it: our intuition will be very strong and deliver sudden insights and ideas, especially around what needs to change in our lives.
Are you expressing your individuality to the fullest in your financial partnerships and intimate relationships? Are you connecting to a larger vision? Is anything holding you back? What are you more aware of in connection with your unique visions, values, and financial freedoms?
Uranus also rules electronics, technology and the internet — so don’t be surprised by interruptions or short-term failures in these areas. Group activities are likewise ruled by Uranus, so these will move more to the forefront of awareness.
As best as you can during this aspect, stay open and flexible, go with the flow — and pay attention to messages from the Universe 😉
Is your Sun-sign or Ascendant in Taurus? Or perhaps your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 12-17 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Aquarius or Leo? If so, you are more affected by this Station phase.
Friday, August 13th:
Friday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra until 8:01pm (see Wednesday late afternoon for details).
On Friday before 4:39pm or after 8:01pm EDT, it is time to start to take action on your New Moon intentions. If you set Intentions on Sunday night, Monday or Tuesday of this week — after the New Moon became exact — today (Friday) will be the best time to take relevant actions.
If you wrote your intentions down, go back and take another look at what came through intuitively. If you didn’t write anything down, get quiet for a moment and check in with yourself: What actions are calling to me?
Friday early afternoon, a somewhat challenging Mars/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 12:27pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Thursday early afternoon on; and it will remain strong until this Saturday early afternoon. This aspect contributes to feeling either a lack of physical energy, or a need to focus on our commitments out there in the world.
We feel uneasy about something, sort of awkward — and we need to make a choice — first though, we must develop an inner awareness of what exactly needs adjusting. Too much work, too many commitments to too many networks or communities, or too much perfectionism could leave us feeling de-energized right now.
We create our own limits; slowing and quieting down helps us see this. If we have a better sense of time, we can do less and achieve more — and we can do this as soon as we manage our commitments and start to use our judgment for discernment, rather than “compare and despair”.
Could you let go, just for now, of wanting to rank things in order? Could you let go, just for now, of wanting to create hierarchy? Is it at least possible that taking care of your daily work and health routines might lead to less social stress or pressure?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 8-11 degrees of Virgo or Aquarius? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Capricorn (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Saturn rules Capricorn)
Friday at 4:39pm EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for almost 3.5 hours until 8:01pm EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to connect with like-minded people, expand each other’s minds, and collaborate in a way that allows you to see the bigger picture.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Friday late afternoon until evening ahead of time.
Friday at 8:01pm EDT, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Sunday late evening. Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us at this time; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as flat-out dishonest. Once we feel safe trusting someone, we want to merge with them, preferably forever… as long as our trust is never betrayed.
The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. This occurs by a process of subtraction — it urges us to let go of whatever disempowers us. It’s therefore an excellent time to look at “old” fears, limiting habits or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.
Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity — it’s “in or out”, “with us or against us”, “love me or leave me”. It can therefore be stormy — a cold winter storm, or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we “work” the energies 🙂
Manipulation and paranoia are the lower vibrations of this aspect, so as best you can, be straightforward — act in good faith and assume it in others. Best of all, be truly present to the fluctuations of your feelings — no matter if they’re “polite” or “timely”. Feelings aren’t facts, but they are information — and heeding them will help you embrace all of who you are.
Know thyself — and love thyself — you shall be set free. Remember: Love connects us to the Power within; Fear causes “Force” to show up — and that’s ultimately what disempowers us and others. This Moon placement also starts the build up towards the first Quarter Full Moon (exact Sunday).
Saturday, August 14th:
Saturday, the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Friday evening for details).
Saturday morning, a somewhat challenging Venus/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 6:58am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Friday morning on; and it will remain strong until this Sunday morning. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward — and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed in order to see what needs adjusting.
This aspect marks a fork in the road: Will we step onto the path that values discernment and scientific reasoning? Or will we take the path that leads to a larger understanding of our vision for humanity, and of our perspectives and attitudes concerning our communities and social networks?
Either way, we can develop a new perspective on how to approach these issues in our life. Awareness is key with this aspect: What is needed? And when? How can we serve the broader view?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 27-29 degrees of Virgo or Aquarius? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Sagittarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).
Saturday evening, we are invited to examine our relationship to money, power, and resources (personal and shared). Ask yourself: How can I balance my need for a deeper, more empowered experience with others, against my wish to honor my personal values and desire for freedom? (Moon in Scorpio opposes Uranus in Taurus, exact at 9:18pm ET)
Saturday night/Sunday very early morning, a somewhat challenging Sun/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 12:14am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Friday night on; and it will remain strong until Monday very early morning (Aug 16th). This aspect feels “internal” — inner unease and awkwardness — and we need to make a choice. Given that it is an internal issue, we need to develop an inner awareness, if we’re to see what needs adjusting.
Our energy tends to be unrealistically directed — and our sense of self may actually change as we learn that we have wrongly assessed important situations. Our self-trust takes a hit.
Due to our high ideals, we may take on more than we can physically handle — if we start to feel drained or frustrated, it might be helpful to look at the overall direction we are taking. Do your best to rest and have quiet time alongside your interactions with others.
It is also worthwhile to look for how our ideas are being received by others: Can we involve them in creating/realizing our dreams? Perhaps we are not sure whether we want to keep dreaming our dream privately, or share it with others… As best as you can, slow down: where there is spaciousness, there is flow; where there is flow, there is effortless creation.
Do you have your Career Point (or personal planets) in degrees of 21-24 Leo or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (the Sun rules of Leo; Neptune rules Pisces).
Sunday, August 15th:
Sunday, the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio until 11:12pm EDT (see Friday evening for details).
Sunday at 11:20am EDT, the first Quarter Moon in 23 degrees of Scorpio becomes exact (we start to feel this aspect from the moment the Moon entered Scorpio on Friday evening). The Moon in passionate, all-or-nothing, intensely-feeling, private Scorpio makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in fun-loving, extroverted, attention-seeking, proud Leo.
We feel compelled to take action. Last week saw the New Moon, on Aug. 8th. “Seeds” planted then are probably “sprouting” by now — and making first real contact with the outside world. This is therefore a time to stretch and grow — and create some forward momentum. We may feel anxious or unusually busy.
As best as you can, go one breath at a time. Allow for changes, remain flexible (as much as possible), and find creative solutions for your day-to-day dealings with others.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 21-25 degrees of Scorpio, Leo, Taurus or Aquarius? If so, you will feel the effects of this first Quarter Moon more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
Sunday at 11:05pm EDT, we enter a brief Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for 7 minutes until 11:12pm EDT. This intuitive time presents an opportunity to connect with others on a deeper emotional level and to enjoy being of service. What if you let yourself trust others in the mutual pursuit of progress that is practical and scientifically valid?
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow.
Sunday at 11:12pm EDT, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, where it will journey until next week, Wednesday very early morning. We’re strongly motivated to explore and learn.
We’re not likely to be big fans of routine — diversity and new adventures work best at this time — we’re also physically restless and need to burn that off with activity and physical exercise.
We tend to feel more open, optimistic and inspired — but we also have a high degree of independence, which means we’d rather inspire others to do things our way, than take orders. Inspiring others could come easier than normal, as we can see the bigger picture, leaving us confident that others will agree with us, once they see what we see.
As best as you can, speak your truth without assuming that everyone is on the same page as you. Improvisation works well for us at this time, as we are spontaneous and love living on the edge — just watch out you aren’t overdoing or overstating things.
And…
A heads up for next Monday (Aug. 16th): the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day. In the very early morning, Venus changes signs from Virgo to Libra. In the evening, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 7:35pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Sunday evening (Aug 15th) on; and it will remain strong until Tuesday evening (Aug. 17th). More about all the details in next week’s forecast : )
