On March 2nd, at 12:35pm EST, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 12 degrees of Pisces, marking the beginning of a new Moon cycle. Feel free to also watch my New Moon video on the subject
Because New Moons mark the ending and beginning of a monthly cycle, they are an optimal time to pause, reflect, and set new Intentions for the next 28 days.
This New Moon chart has four planets in Pisces — a line up (aka Stellium) that includes the Sun, the Moon, Jupiter and Neptune; the New Moon and Jupiter also sextile Uranus in Taurus. The Sun squares December’s Solar Eclipse degree several hours after the New Moon becomes exact, which signifies a turning point.
There is also a second line up in this New Moon chart that takes place in Capricorn, and includes Venus, Mars, and Pluto. And since those three planets answer to Saturn right now (Saturn being the ruler of Capricorn), we must also mention the current Saturn-Mercury conjunction in Aquarius.
All of this will bring some forward movement. The next four weeks are thus essential in our lives on both the personal and collective levels. In fact, new beginnings are possible on multiple levels, as long as we get enough rest and make time for tuning in. I will go into all of this in more detail in a moment, but first let’s start with the Stellium in Pisces:
Pisces invites us to connect with our inner divinity, and with our ability to receive, trust our intuition, and contribute to life from a heart-centered and empathic place.
Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, and thus connects us to our spiritual journey, as it represents a reunion with Source/God/the Universe. At its highest vibration, Pisces unifies all dualities — it is completely aware of the oneness of all. It tells us there is a union within, that exists always, and that we can tap into it.
To move into a higher, lighter Pisces vibration, ask yourself the following questions:…

Ask yourself: Am I? In other words, do I exist? Could I let that be enough, just for right now? Keep repeating these questions until you feel completely relaxed and at peace.
Pisces is accepting and aware of both its temporal and its eternal nature; it understands that we are both singular in nature and also an inseparable part of the universe. It lovingly allows all, because it knows that separation is an illusion (or a conditioning at best) — that separation only exists in the mind.
Now, close your eyes, and ask yourself: Am I my body or am I more than that? Am I the sounds that I can hear inside and outside my head, or am I more than that? Am I the sensations that I feel and receive, or am I more than that? And, if I am more than those things, where do I begin? Where do I end?
At its densest expression however, Pisces feels separate, fearful, and victimized. It wants to escape the harsh physical realities of this world. We get trapped in this lower vibration when we don’t go within to connect with our inner divinity, when we don’t rest enough, when we can’t trust ourselves — our inner processes and intuitive Selves.
Ask yourself: What is in the way of a connection to my inner divinity? What prevents me from slowing down? Turning inwards? Trusting my inner guidance?
What if I opened just 5% more to the perfection of life? What if I trusted 5% more to universal timing? To the inner and outer processes now underway for me personally and on a collective level?
Might plenty of downtime and rest actually support my reconnection to Source-energy? How about a connection to my intuitive Self? Might rest support my health on all levels?
Neptune is the modern ruler of Pisces, Jupiter is the traditional ruler of Pisces, and both are part of the “line up” in Pisces with the New Moon. This “line up” gives us the opportunity to open the doors of perception a little wider to the universal and energetic processes. Those processes are inviting us to expand our understanding around a sense of oneness and interconnectedness with all of life.
Neptune and Jupiter will make an exact conjunction on April 12th, which will start a new spiritual growth cycle for all of us, collectively and individually speaking. We will address all of this in more detail in relationship to our birth charts in our next Forecasting Forum.
Ask yourself: What does spiritual growth signify for me? Where am I looking to grow spiritually?

Jupiter in Pisces gives us a chance to release “old” belief systems or any conditioned thought patterns (socially conditioned or from our upbringing) to do with our connection to the divine and intuitive. Ask yourself: What was the collective narrative growing up when it comes to resting? To being still? Tuning in? Intuition? Inner guidance?
Could I allow myself to release some of those “old” conditioned beliefs and step into a more conscious relationship with the divine? With Intuition? Trusting my inner knowing? Allowing myself to see the perfection of all of life? The unfolding?
Could I allow myself to slow down now and then, without distractions, so I can tune in and listen to the subtle messages of my higher Self? And maybe receive more of the guidance that is always available to me?
If we don’t channel this energy into something that elevates our spirit and soul we may become restless or anxious.
The New Moon-Jupiter-Neptune alignment is also a call to extend compassion, acceptance, or forgiveness to ourselves and others. Unconditional love for our feeling-body and our responses towards the world is also very helpful right now.
We may feel more sensitive — more tuned-in to other people’s feelings or suffering — and this gives us the opportunity to experience the full range of all feelings as they arise, and to sense our interconnectedness with everything around us.
As best as you can, allow for the flow of all feelings, allow your heart to soften — open to the beauty in that connectedness to “all there is” — Jupiter gives us the courage and optimism we need to do just that.
Ask yourself: If I were to be totally honest with myself, what would I notice is draining, rather than inspiring me? Where do I seem to have a hard time discerning fact from fiction? Could I be open to receiving guidance directly from my higher Self, my Soul-Self?
If my feelings had a voice of their own, and could speak, what would they say? What might my dreams say to me? What message might my intuition have for me?
The Sun in Pisces squares the degree of December 4th’s Solar Eclipse, 6.5 hours after the New Moon becomes exact, signaling a potential turning point in our collective perceptions, expectations, and assumptions.
Ask yourself: What am I aware of right now that would shift my perspective if I allowed myself to “feel into it”? What (or who) might bring about this shift? What might I see if I were looking at the bigger picture? What do I sense when I take a moment to tune into my heart?
Recently, I have been mentioning the Squares to the Eclipse points in my Weekly Forecasts, and I go into this subject even more deeply in my latest webinar: “Turning Points – Squares to the Eclipses”. Click here to purchase this webinar, if you haven’t seen it yet.
The New Moon and Jupiter also make a sextile to Uranus in Taurus. We get an opportunity to be extra-present — and also to connect with others and share a new vision about the Earth, or to reinvent how we connect with our physical world and “the good things in life”.
As best as you can, bring a sense of flow and faith to “who you are being” and what’s important to you; allow yourself to intuitively share some progress-oriented or novel ideas around what you value, and about things that could ease the lives for yourself and others in very practical ways.
Ask yourself: What if the whole Universe was intelligent? What if that included every cell in my body? What knowledge would my body want to share with me?
We also have a unique opportunity right now to more courageously trust our inner processes, while also allowing the Universe/Source/our Higher Selves to step in and guide us towards a more unique relationship with the Earth, with our bodies, and with our sense of self-worth.
Ask yourself: If everything is energy, and everything is always in perfect alignment on an energetic level, how could I get more in tune with my own energy-body? If I did tune in, is it at least possible that I could then be in more perfect alignment with my values? My sense of worth? What would trusting the unfolding of a unique relationship to my body and the Earth look like to me?
Allow yourself to slow down and connect with nature, your body, and your breath. Let yourself be guided by inspiration, whether your own, other people’s, nature’s, your pet’s, etc.
Ask yourself: What would it look like if I allowed myself to get and stay in tune with the creative process that is unfolding in every moment of now?
If nothing else, do your best to take 5-minute breaks here and there, if you possibly can. Use them to get quiet and be with yourself (your intuitive/feeling Self).
Ask yourself: What might a healthy connection with the energetic world feel like? What if I became just 5% more interested in my inner world? What if I simply embraced whatever I discovered there? Could I simply allow what “is” to “just be”, just for this very moment?
Now, let’s talk about the second Line-up in this New Moon chart, between Venus, Mars, and Pluto. Given that this combo is taking place in Capricorn, we prefer to take a realistic approach, aiming all our passion and love toward excellence and a place in society that reflects our efforts — we definitely also have a desire to “make it”, sometimes to the point of obsession.
There are some things to watch out for too: being too hard on ourselves or others, creating pressure, feeling anxious about achieving our goals, and being inflexibly rule-bound.
Ask yourself: Could I take the pressure off just a tiny bit every day? What would 100% responsibility for my life look like? Does that include how I treat myself? Could I allow myself to receive 5% more love and support from trusted sources?
Since all three of these planets are the rulers of the transiting Moon Nodes (Venus rules Taurus, Pluto & Mars rule Scorpio), this line-up has a very special meaning in connection to our current individual and collective Soul’s Journey.
We are invited to trust a much deeper, more powerful process that is at play at this time; the dismantling of “old” social structure that no longer serve us is unfolding, and the less we resist this process and simply surrender to it, the sooner we can feel empowered and create a society that can thrive.
Ask yourself: Could I give myself permission to surrender my fears, and focus on what I actually have control over? What do I actually have control over? And if I am really honest with myself, what is my “circle of influence”?
How might a mature and slow-but-steady approach help me build new structures all around me that feel empowering? What am I ready to release or redefine when it comes to worldly success? Where am I ready to step more fully into an abundant place when it comes to my achievements?
On March 6th, only 3.5 days after the New Moon becomes exact, Venus & Mars will align for the second time within 18 days – and this time, it will be in in 0º of Aquarius — an exalted degree, and the same degree where we had the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction on December 21st, 2020! This is a big deal! A new beginning — a new era!
The Jupiter-Saturn alignment started a 20-year social-economic cycle, that now gets reemphasized on a more personal and individual level via the Venus-Mars alignment — asking us to collaborate with others and keep a vision or a dream for a better future alive in each of us.
Venus and Mars normally follow an approximately 2-year cycle, but due to Venus’s Retrograde phase in late 2021, the last Venus-Mars cycle has been a short one — only 6 months. However, the next Venus-Mars alignment will not be until 2024, and will also be in Aquarius – so the individual desire for a better, more collaborative, all-inclusive future will be felt for quite a while.
Ask yourself: How might I, as an individual, shape the future of the collective experience? What collaborations might help bring about a better future for all? What actions (large or small) could I take to fulfill on this vision of an all-inclusive experience for all beings? What roles do “tolerance” and “diversity” play in all of this?
Saturn is currently in Aquarius, and aligns with Mercury. Saturn’s alignment to Mercury in Aquarius shows us that we have the ability to focus more seriously on our long-term visions for humanity and ourselves. We feel sober sometimes maybe too sober, almost pessimistic — but feeling sober could help us think about our future in a more realistic and mature way.
As best as you can, choose your thoughts carefully — and with the awareness that whatever you are giving your focus to, at this time, will have strong manifesting capabilities directed at it
With this combo, we also prefer to have serious conversations with others that move us closer to a common goal, and are ready to make some long-term commitments, especially in connection with like-minded people or communities.
Ask yourself: Who comes to mind, when I think about long-term commitments with like-minded people? What conversations are waiting to be had?
Where do I want to focus my thoughts when it comes to a long-term vision for humanity? Where do I see myself within that vision?
Could I notice when my focus drifts toward thoughts that create separation or seclusion? Can I make a responsible effort to focus my thoughts on things that support community, collaboration, and diversity?
To sum it all up: The next 28 days are an opportunity to tap into our intuitive and imaginative abilities, then focus anew on what’s important for us — again, without rushing it.
Many of us are exhausted, as so much is shifting, collectively and individually. Inner work takes as much energy as physical work, sometimes more, so take extra care of your body.
Follow your inner guidance. Release, recharge, and remember that we are all spiritual beings having a human experience!
As best as you can, unplug, and listen deeply to your heart and soul; allow yourself to be with what is, without needing to change or fix anything. Then — and only then — take action!
Nature is a wonderful teacher for this — if you start to feel overwhelmed by what you are feeling or experiencing, connect with nature. In the silence, we feel the oneness with all there is, and the unconditional love the Universe provides.
Ask yourself: What might cause my heart to expand 5% more than usual? What is already in my current environment that opens my heart? What might change for me if I knew for certain that everything is proceeding according to plan? What might reconnect me to a spiritual trust?
Spiritual practice is also wonderful here, of course – meditation, breathing exercises, mindfulness exercises, etc. – and the same is true of spiritual/energetic healing modalities. These can all help us tap into the higher vibrations of Pisces, as can the creative flow of dance, Qi Gong, singing, music, sound, dream work, creative writing, art, or simply being with our intuition — and of course, positive emotions such as love, gratitude, and compassion.
What else can help us experience our connection to “the all”? I invite you to share about a spiritual practice that works for you and that you love in the comments section…
Again, feel free to also watch my New Moon video on the subject
[/wcm_restrict]
Do you have your Ascendant or any personal planets in 10-14 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly for the next 28 days. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle. This is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact — and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase — so this month, the best time to set intentions would be between 12:35pm on March 2nd and 4:45pm on March 3rd, and then again from 7:52pm on March 3rd until 12:35pm on March 4th (New York-time)

On Feb. 1st at 12:46am EST, a powerful New Moon in almost 12.5 degrees of Aquarius becomes exact; this is the beginning of a new Moon cycle. I also recommend you watch my video on the subject.
This Lunar cycle invites us to go out there and connect (or re-connect) with “our people” – with a tribe that resonates, a cause that feels aligned with our principles and our integrity, a connection that serves a larger vision for the future, etc.
This New Moon is unique in that it takes place on the same day as Chinese New Year and marks the beginning of the Year of the Yang Water Tiger, emphasizing the importance of caution, growth, development, challenge, creation, and planning. Ask yourself: Where am I ready for a new plan? Where do I need to still implement some changes in order to move forward?
The Tiger in Chinese Astrology represents power, prestige, and autonomy. Yang-Water is connected to flowing water, like a river, or the clouds in the sky. So you could say: when we allow the flow to guide us (in other words, when we trust our intuition), we grow stronger and can achieve more.
According to Chinese Astrology, 2022 is a great year to start a business or career goal: We are full of energy to take on a challenge and set off on an adventure.
Coming back to Western, Tropical Astrology, we have two exalted planets in this New Moon chart: Mercury (the planet of communication & how we process information) and Venus (the planet of self-worth & how we relate to others). Both of them are currently in Capricorn, and are thus asking us to be extra-mindful about connecting to a healthy sense of responsibility and self-reliance.
Mercury comes to a halt — ending its 3-week Retrograde phase — only 2.5 days after the New Moon becomes exact (on Feb. 3rd in the late evening), while Venus ends her 6-week Retrograde phase only 3 days before the New Moon becomes exact on Jan. 29th, at 3:36am EST.
When a planet changes directions, its energy will be “louder” for some days before and after that shift. Venus has been “louder” since Jan. 23rd and will continue to ask for our attention until Feb. 4th. Mercury will be exalted until Feb. 6th.
When planets end Retrograde phases, they are ready to move forward and bring to the world whatever material they have learned and integrated during the Retrograde. Ask yourself…

Ask yourself: What did I learn about my long-term goals, my aspirations, and how I want to show up, out there in the world (within current social structures)? What have I learned about my sense of self-worth and the value I bring to the world?
Where are my limitations? Where does my expertise lie? How much do I honor myself and what I am contributing to the world?
What did I learn about my affiliations with like-minded people? What needed to be addressed with regards to any group experiences, humanitarian causes, or technology? What did I learn about my unique ability to make a difference in my communities or networks?
What am I ready to bring to the world from all those realizations? What felt most in alignment with my inner core?
From February 4th to April 29th, all planets will be in forward motion. This indicates an accelerated time of manifestation — especially connected to new projects or new ideas.
Ask yourself: What in my life is asking for accelerated progress? What am I wishing to manifest with the support of the Universe?
The New Moon aligns with Saturn in Aquarius and all three “planets” square Uranus in Taurus. Let’s first talk a little bit about Aquarius in general and what this energy represents before jumping into the aspects of this New Moon chart:
The highest vibration of Aquarius represents the threshold of individuation and the attainment of group consciousness, where we transcend differences of gender, race, religion, and nationality, and realize that we are all members of the human race. It is the energy of equality and diversity, freedom and reform, collaboration and community.
With the synergistic power of Aquarius —where combined efforts achieve far more than individual actions, and where everyone matters — we could make great progress in a short amount of time.
However, if we have not successfully navigated the prior stages — especially the Capricorn stage, which is the development of a healthy sense of responsibility, maturity, and self-reliance — we blindly conform to what we have been conditioned into rather than what is actually in true alignment with who we are and how we want to show up in the world.
For most of human history, being cast out usually meant certain death, either quickly and gruesomely at the hands (and teeth) of predators, or slowly through starvation. Nonconformity still sometimes exacts a steep price, ranging from ridicule to murder; unconsciously, we store memories of dire consequences for not going along with “the tribe”.
Ask yourself: If my body was wired for survival, what would its natural response be to any perceived threat? How could I settle and soothe myself and my body as and when these natural survival reactions show up? What if I chose to tune in and trust myself rather than tune outwards and trust everyone else?
Here is another way this denser vibration of Aquarius could show up: we could get stuck in the polar opposite — feeling alienated, unable to relate to others who are different, and isolate ourselves.
Ask yourself: Do I struggle sometimes with being an outsider? What if I was never meant to fit in? What if my purpose was to help humanity with its evolutionary process rather than to blend in? Have I been considered an “oddball” or a “black sheep” in the past? What if I could connect with other “oddballs” and “black sheep”? How might that make me feel less alienated? Where can I find “my people”? My community?
We get trapped in these denser vibration when we do not take responsibility for our part in the collective — when we do not honor our individual genius, our unique contribution to society, or to our communities.
Ask yourself: What if I allowed myself to be both different and connected to others? What stops me from being me when I am with my “tribe”?
Imagine a world where everyone was a clone of yourself. Same features, personality, preferences, style, ideas, beliefs… same everything! How long could a world like that exist? How long before the human spirit perished?
This New Moon aligns with Saturn in Aquarius. Saturn symbolizes form and structure on all levels, from personal ego constructs, patterns, and beliefs, to governments, corporations, and institutions of all kinds. With Saturn we are learning about limits, responsibility, and becoming our own authority.
We are asked to take responsibility for our part in the collective, to turn a critical eye on everything we envision for our future, and adopt an objective, scientific approach. We are individually and collectively invited to clarify our thoughts and take a closer look at the agreements that we made with each other on a collective level.
Should this process take place at an unconscious level, or without the appropriate steps, it will create a tremendous amount of pressure. Our resistance to this pressure could generate nagging anxiety and even depression.
As best as you can, slow down a little, and focus on what can be done within the limitations that you are currently experiencing. Rushing will backfire right now.
Ask yourself: What works for me? What doesn’t? Does my current participation in my various groups or networks align with who I am now? With where I see myself 5 years from now? What do I truly want to commit myself to?
Do the communities in my life (whether local or online) truly resonate with my personal vision for the future — as it stands now, rather than what it was 5 or 10 years ago? Which “cooperations” or businesses do I want to support? Which do I want to disconnect or part myself from?
The Sun-Moon-Saturn alignment in Aquarius squares Uranus in Taurus in this New Moon chart. This means that we will be dealing with some uncomfortable interactions with others, and with uncertainty on a personal and collective level. Giving ourselves space (and giving lots of space to others) is essential.
Ask yourself: What do I value differently from others? How could these differences spark a creative process? How might they bring diversity and innovation to our collective interactions? Where do I need to be more flexible? Where are the edges of the box I need to think outside of?
Most of us want peace and abundance for ourselves and others, a world in which we can all appreciate and enjoy life with minimal interruption, and with the certainty that we are physically taken care of — so ask: What if my taking the time to focus on building a future that realistically supports all human beings could actually bring all that about for everyone… myself included?
Squares always mark important turning points, where we have to make some kind of shift before we can move forward. Saturn and Uranus are in a waning Square, requiring a shift in perspective and a release of what blocks future development.
Ask yourself: What might a broader perception of reality give me? What if I explored alternatives that support me with what really matters? With what is sustainable and best for all concerned? Could I allow myself to be 5% more inventive, authentic and willing to operate without social approval?
The Sun-Moon-Saturn alignment in Aquarius also makes a Sextile to Chiron in Aries. This presents an opportunity to connect with others and engage in a healing process around our personal identities that could bring us progress. Ask yourself: What if taking a compassionate approach towards myself and others actually made for a better future for all humankind?
How might a gentler and more holistic approach to my personal goals and aspirations create communities that support everyone’s differences and unique quirks?
Let’s talk about some of the other aspects in this New Moon chart: an exalted Mercury aligns with Pluto in Capricorn and an exalted Venus is starting to align with Mars in Capricorn. As we can see, lots of planetary alignments in Capricorn.
The Mercury-Pluto alignment gives us tremendous mental focus — which could tip into obsession. Especially with an exalted Mercury (that is still Retrograde at the time of the New Moon), pay attention to your thoughts, and take the pressure off whenever possible.
Choose love over fear! Connect to the things you feel passionate about — and connect to others, empowering them with your passions (that includes yourself!). As best as you can, choose your words carefully — if possible, speak from that deeply connected and empowered place.
The Venus-Mars alignment represents a marriage of courage and collaboration, inviting us to allow the masculine (active/doing/asserting) and feminine (receiving/allowing/being) to work together — in a responsible way.
Ask yourself: Where do I need to be more courageous when it comes to my authentic standing in society? What if I responded to situations in a way that respects and serves all those involved? What if I became 5% more aware of my personal power? Where might I have given it away to others? And how might I begin to reclaim it?
With so many planets in Capricorn, it is important for us to take breaks or simply slow down and allow ourselves to tune in. It’s important to nurture our “inner baby” and stay emotionally connected to family or loved ones.
Ask yourself: Could I take the pressure off just a tiny bit every day? What would 100% responsibility for my life look like? Does that include how I treat myself? Could I allow myself to receive 5% more love and support from trusted sources?
The Venus-Mars alignment also squares Chiron in Aries. This combo asks us to stretch ourselves and find ways towards being more forgiving with ourselves and others instead of harsh and hard.
Ask yourself: What might I be able to contribute to the world if I embraced my own humanity just 5% more?
What might become possible if I was willing to just “be with” my insecurities, “sensitivities”, or past wounding, without trying to fix them? What if my attempts to fix them were the very thing keeping me from seeing the divine perfection of it all?
Mercury also sextile Neptune in Pisces: this aspect provides a particularly potent opportunity to bring an intuitive and creative approach to building various foundations in our lives — both individually and collectively.
Ask yourself: What might transpire if I brought 5% more compassion and acceptance to my inner and outer long-term processes? What could I manifest if I was simply present in the now-moment to all the energies inside and around me? What would my starting point be then? How could my mind apply and support the guidance of my intuitive heart?
Jupiter sextiles Uranus in Taurus and the Venus-Mars alignment in Capricorn. This is an opportunity to be very present, to connect with others from the heart and share a new vision about the Earth, or to reinvent how we connect with “the good things in life”.
We also have a unique opportunity right now to more courageously trust our inner processes, while also allowing the Universe/Source/our Higher Selves to step in and guide us as we expand structures (individually and collectively) that support something sustainable and long-lasting.
Ask yourself: What does this look like for me? How might I contribute to the collective version of that effort? What if I explored things that could make my own and other people’s life easier on a very practical level?
What if I allowed myself to intuitively share some progress-oriented new ideas about what is important to me? What would it look like if I celebrated (and leveraged) my idealism and unorthodox approaches to life’s challenges?
Quantum Physics tells us that the observer affects the observed, and this implies that our focus determines our experience of reality — whenever we meditate, pray, bless, or hold loving thoughts, either by ourselves, with others, for ourselves, for others, we create a better reality for all of us.
Ask yourself: Could I just experiment with this “theory” for a week or two? What if there was no downside to trying it out? Would I do it then?
To sum it all up: we are ready to change the status quo, both in our own individual lives, and also collectively — and this could come with challenges and some breakdowns, plus some nervous energy and impatience — so definitely bring as much objectivity to your interactions as possible.
As best as you can, bring a sense of flow and faith to who you are being, and practice self-alignment and self-responsibility, whenever possible.
We also may experience sudden spurts of energy moving through our bodies, so we need to ground ourselves regularly, or channel these “disruptive” energies in a healthy way. Exercise would be a good channel, as would healthy debates, brainstorming about reforms or finances, etc. 😉
Since we experience a need to connect with like-minded people while remaining objective, but also want to break free from outdated value systems, we may have to directly address what we value — both in others, and in ourselves.
Ask yourself: What outdated values am I ready to release? Where do I take other people’s values personally? What if agreeing with other people’s values was overrated? What if respectful disagreement was valuable to everyone involved?
What if diversity was the greatest gift we could give to each other at this time? What if time really did “heal all”? What if time also brought wholeness to all? If that were so, how much patience would be just the right amount?
As best as you can, remember why you are here at this momentous time of change on this planet. “Think Different”, “Keep your Heart open” and come together. Help birth a new world one day at a time.
[/wcm_restrict]
James Clear, says it beautifully in this article: “For most of our evolutionary history, our ancestors lived in tribes. Becoming separated from the tribe—or worse, being cast out—was a death sentence… When we have to choose between the two, people often select friends and family over facts… The way to change people’s minds is to become friends with them, to integrate them into your tribe, to bring them into your circle… As proximity increases, so does understanding… If someone you know, like, and trust believes a radical idea, you are more likely to give it merit, weight, or consideration… the best place to ponder a threatening idea is in a non-threatening environment. As a result, books are often a better vehicle for transforming beliefs than conversations or debates… The word “kind” originated from the word “kin.” When you are kind to someone it means you are treating them like family… Develop a friendship. Share a meal. Gift a book. Be kind first, be right later.”
Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 10-15 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, or Scorpio? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
Finally, let’s talk “New Moon Intentions” 🙂 The New Moon is the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle; this is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact, and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.
That means that this month, the best time to set intentions would be any time between 12:46am and 6:01am on Feb. 1st, and then again, from 6am on Feb. 2nd until 12:46am on Feb. 3rd -(New York Time/US Eastern Time)
If you live in a timezone other than EST (US East Coast), and converting timezones isn’t your thing, I suggest joining my Facebook Fanpage and/or following me on Twitter. I will post reminders to let you know when it is time to set your New Moon intentions 😉

New Moons are good times to reflect on our lives and set new intentions. This is therefore a good time to go within, to plant a seed for anything we would like to accomplish over the next 28 days, and maybe even beyond.
In Capricorn, this New Moon directs us to reassess our relationship to power and authority. The next section of this forecast will dig into this in more detail — you may also want to watch my New Moon video 🙂
The highest vibration of Capricorn is self-mastery: the development of responsibility, resourcefulness, reliability, the ability to set realistic goals and establish healthy boundaries. The next 28 days are a perfect time to work some more on these areas.
This is the first New Moon of the year, and since Capricorn represents the quest for self-mastery on the physical plane, some useful questions you can ask yourself include:
What is my relationship to self-mastery? Am I going about things in a realistic way? What does “setting healthy boundaries” look like to me? What do I know about my own limitations? Other people’s? What are my priorities in connection with long-term goals? What does the word “integrity” bring out in me? Where am I on the road to self-mastery?
As best as you can, prepare for the future, make commitments, and recognize responsibilities — in other words, nurture your dreams in a realistic manner.
Focus on setting and achieving practical and attainable long-term goals, one step at a time, one day at a time — this is not about immediate results, it’s about the quality of the foundation you are building.
Capricorn also invites us to set the kind of realistic limits and boundaries that allow everyone involved to learn from the consequences of their choices. Ask yourself: Where in my life am I able to set realistic limits and boundaries? Where am I not? What might I be afraid of when I don’t?
Capricorn relates directly to the level of our maturity. Ask yourself: What would taking 100% responsibility for my life look like? What if I responded to situations in a way that respects and serves all those involved?
Do I respect the laws of matter? What am I willing to undergo to overcome adversity? How committed am I to that?
Let’s talk about some of the aspects connected to this particular New Moon chart…

Let’s talk about some of the aspects connected to this particular New Moon chart:
The New Moon squares Chiron in Aries and trines Uranus in Taurus. Let’s start with the Trine (since it is closer in degrees):
Uranus always brings a certain level of creativity and reinvention to the table. Ask yourself: How might new, fresh, and practical ideas create progress with my long-term goals? What is asking to be reinvented? Where might I find something unexpected that could change my connection to my inner authority? How about with authority figures out there in the world?
The New Moon’s Square to Chiron could cause us to feel impatient and/or triggered, so definitely bring as much compassion and kindness to yourself and others as you can muster — this is an opportunity to embrace our own humanity. Compassion is key!
Ask yourself: Other than career and long-term goals, where could I channel my impatient “masculine” energies into something that satisfies me on a physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual level?
Jupiter re-enters the sign of Pisces on Dec. 28th, only 5 days before the New Moon becomes exact. It will stay in this creative, sensitive sign until May 10th, 2022. Thus, it will be in 0 degree of Pisces at the time of the New Moon —> an exalted degree!!!!
Jupiter entered Pisces for the first time last May, on the 13th (to be exact), and remained there until July 28th, 2021.
Think back to that time and ask yourself: What was in the way of a connection to my inner divinity back then? What prevented me from slowing down? Turning inwards? Trusting my inner guidance? What have I learned about my intuitive knowing since then? Is there more to learn?
Jupiter squares the Moon Nodes in Gemini-Sagittarius in this New Moon chart:
This Square invites us to take a closer look at our belief system and social-cultural conditioning, open our hearts, and make choices accordingly. We are asked to look for solutions that stem from a deep understanding of oneness and interconnectedness with all that is alive on this planet.
Ask yourself: What road might lead to greater heart connections? What might open up if I became more connected to the part of me that is pure love? What if I took a 5% more positive attitude towards human life and all its paradoxes?
Here are some more questions: What might it look like for me personally if the deepest perspective shift was not political, or scientific, but spiritual? What might promote a spiritual perspective around my connection to all of my surroundings? What am I aware of right now that would shift my perspective if I allowed myself to “feel into it”?
Given that it rules Capricorn, Saturn’s placement in Aquarius plays an important role with this New Moon. Saturn is associated with the Law of Karma, i.e. with the natural result of our actions — what we sow, we reap. In Aquarius, Saturn invites us to focus on (and build) communities that are sustainable and self-responsible.
We are sovereign beings who have “choice”. Ask yourself: Where could I take 5% more responsibility for a choice I made?
What might I do differently if I knew for certain that all of my choices had social as well as personal consequences? Might I slow down and take more time with certain choices? Might I do the groundwork and be especially discerning if that meant I could make better choices that create more beneficial outcomes for everyone?
Saturn in Aquarius still squares Uranus in Taurus in this New Moon chart. And this ongoing Square is asking us to find creative ways to stretch ourselves when we feel the pull between control and freedom, tradition and progress. It also promotes social, economic, and environmental reform. Squares involving Uranus always offer opportunities for major breakthroughs.
Ask yourself: What if I could help birth a new age and with it a new world based on heart-centered consciousness and individual freedoms that honor our bodies and the planet we live on? What if there were big, bold ways I could do that? What if there were small, simple ways?
We are continually invited to step up in the world and become mature, responsible planetary citizens while honoring our individuality — in other words, making a difference one by one, even when it seems as though we are too small to create a big shift on our own. No matter how small it may seem, every ripple moves something, changes something…
As best as you can, observe your mind: What future am I focused on? How might “holding space” for myself and others contribute to a better future?
Saturn in Aquarius sextiles Chiron in Aries. This combo presents an opportunity to connect with others and engage in a healing process that can bring progress in our various communities, maybe even worldwide — we are more powerful than we realize, especially when we come together.
Ask yourself: Could I inspire others even if I let them see that I have vulnerabilities and I am human? What might become possible if I allowed myself to be both courageously vulnerable and committed to building sustainable collaborations that serve humanity?
Mercury enters Aquarius less than 12 hours before the new Moon becomes exact. It will be in 0 degrees of this forward-thinking sign, also an exalted degree!
This reminds us that where we focus our mind is important — that our thoughts and words create our future — they matter! Ask yourself: What thoughts and words might inspire a better future? What might become possible if I took 5% more responsibility for my inner dialog and the energy those thoughts disperse?
Remember that not all “change” is “progress”. Consider all options first and then respond, rather than reacting; stay flexible and be willing to look beyond the obvious.
I should also mention here that Mercury is already in its pre-Shadow phase at the time of the New Moon. It entered this Shadow phase on Dec. 29th when it reached 24.5º of Capricorn and it will remain there until January 14th when it comes to a halt in 10º of Aquarius.
For those of you who do not know what a pre-Shadow phase is, it means that for the next 2 weeks we will be traveling through territory that we will later revisit during Mercury’s Retrograde phase.
From Dec. 29th – Jan.14th, pay attention to what comes up around long-term goals, business interactions, and visions for your various communities, networks, and like-minded people. You may need to revisit certain conversations, ideas, or interactions for greater inner clarity during Mercury’s Retrograde phase (Jan. 14th – Feb. 3rd).
Speaking of Retrograde phases, Venus in Capricorn, still aligned with Pluto, has gone retrograde on Dec. 19th and is therefore moving backward (as seen from the Earth’s perspective) in this New Moon chart.
Venus in her Retrograde phase invites us to reevaluate our long-term goals and business partnerships. It also invites us to connect internally to our own inner authority and sovereign nature.
Ask yourself: Where do I need to be more realistic about what I have to offer the world? Where are my limitations? Are there any obstacles to achieving my long-term goals? If so, where are they? What is my relationship to “commitments”? Responsibility? Self-mastery?
Do my internal commitments align with my values? How about my external commitments? Or the reality of my finances? Or setting healthy boundaries in my various relationships?
If you would like to learn more about Venus’ 6-week Retrograde phase in Capricorn and how this is going to impact you personally, I recommend you get the mp4-video presentation “Venus Retrograde Dec.- Jan. 2021/22″ — and see how it relates to your own Birth Chart. To purchase this webinar, click here.
Venus’ alignment with Pluto at the time of the New Moon, invites us to confront our fears and face our shadow issues as they pertain to power and authority — our own, and other people’s.
Ask yourself: Are there any old ways of being that I need to shed? Anything that still feels disempowering to me? Where do I still look outside of myself for permission or approval? For what’s “right” or “wrong”?
Who are my “favorite” people to give my power to? This could be a relative or a friend, but it could also be a public figure or person with social authority such as a doctor, scientist, politician, news anchor, etc.
Where might it serve me to dig deeper? Dig clear to the bottom of things? Discover the root causes?
Where am I experiencing quick-fix responses or behaviors in my life? What would a real change look like? What needs to “die” for something new and stronger (or more authentic) to be “born” in its place? What fears are holding me back from making real changes?
Pluto’s involvement could foster an all-or-nothing attitude over the next 28 days towards our long-term goals, or our standing in society — in fact, we might become obsessed over those things — and/or it might bring up a fear of “losing control”.
It’s important to stay heart-centered and grounded — engage tools or people where possible, to help you let go of your fears and surrender to the power of your Soul that resides within you.
If you get obsessed about your accomplishments out there in the world, as best as you can, remind yourself to slow down and take breaks. Ask yourself: Am I driven by fear or love/passion? If fear, worry, concerns, etc. are present, could I simply acknowledge that experience?
Close your eyes, and ask yourself: Is what I am afraid of real right here, right now, or is it a projection into the future? If the latter is the case, could I let go of “expecting” (or even in some weird way “wanting”) to create this future for myself?
Could I choose more powerfully? Could I choose a future that allows me to feel empowered, no matter what the circumstances?
To sum all of this up: We are invited to direct our attention to what needs to change — individually and collectively. Change is not always easy, and sometimes it can be downright unpleasant, but it is necessary if we are to move towards a world that we want to live in and share with one another.
You could ask yourself here: What kind of future do I envision for myself and for all beings on this planet? What realistic baby steps can I take to move towards this future? Where is it best to be flexible? And on the other hand, where must I remain focused and stay aligned with my visions or preferences?
This New Moon conveys an extra-potent message about our perception of physical reality and about our relationship to power or to “feeling empowered”.
Ask yourself: What might I notice if I became 5% more aware of my personal power? Where might I have given it away to others? And how might I begin to reclaim it?
This New Moon also calls us to stand for love, for truth, for unity. It reminds us that each one of us can be a powerful agent of change through our thoughts, words, and actions.
As best as you can, keep breathing, feeling, witnessing — and remember, we are all participating in an unprecedented evolutionary shift. We are divine beings living in a dense physical reality attempting to remember who we really are and what we came here to do.
Choose wisely for 2022 and beyond. Participate consciously in the evolution of existence on this planet, not from fear, but from the knowledge of your inner strength and personal power —> the power of your heart and your humanity!
This quote from Matt Kahn fits beautifully here: “May all beings be safe. May all beings be valued. May all beings be healed. May all beings be whole. May all beings be free — and may it begin with you and me. Please use this as a grounding tool and a centering mantra whenever hope feels lost. The world is ascending no matter how it looks in its transition from one paradigm to another.”
[/wcm_restrict]
Do you have your Ascendant or any personal planets in 10-15 degrees of Capricorn, Cancer, Aries, or Libra? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for the month’s Moon cycle — and the very best time to do this is after the New Moon becomes exact (but definitely not during a Moon void of course).
So this month, there are two best and most potent times to set intentions — the first would be any time between 1:33pm on Sunday, Jan. 2nd, and 11:21am on Monday late morning, Jan. 3rd — and the second would be between Monday late afternoon at 5:44pm and Tuesday early afternoon at 1:33pm (EST/New York time).
If you live in a timezone other than EST (US East Coast time), and converting time zones isn’t your thing, I suggest joining my Facebook Fan-page and/or following me on Twitter, as I post reminders when it’s time to set your intentions 😉

by Sonja Francis | Nov 29, 2021 | Astrology Articles, New Moon, Solar Eclipse
On Dec. 4th at 2:43am EST, a total Solar Eclipse sweeps across Antarctica. People located at the southernmost tips of South America, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand will be able to see partial phases. This New Moon (Solar Eclipse) becomes exact at 12.5 degrees of Sagittarius, launching a new Moon and Eclipse cycle.
Solar Eclipses are extra-powerful New Moons that take place approximately every 6 months; during a Solar Eclipse, the Moon momentarily interrupts the normal flow of solar radiation, destabilizing existing configurations of energy and reorganizing consciousness to a higher level. Solar Eclipses indicate the beginning of a new experience, project, or cycle.
This is the last of four Eclipses in 2021. While there is a New Moon each month, Eclipses occur only 4-7 times a year, when the Sun, Moon, and Earth are precisely enough aligned. You may also want to watch my Solar Eclipse video.
Eclipses usually come in pairs (Solar and Lunar). Eclipse season starts 14 days before the first Eclipse (in this case, the Lunar Eclipse in Taurus), and continues through the time of the second (for this Eclipse season, that would be the Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius). This Eclipse Season started back on Nov. 4th and will last until Jan. 2nd, 2022.
The Sun and Moon are connected to one of the Moon Nodes during an Eclipse, switching between the North and South Node Eclipses, emphasizing the evolutionary upgrades that are available to us during such times.
This is the second South Node Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius since the Moon Nodes entered Gemini/Sagittarius in May 2020 and is also the last South Node Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius for the next 18 years.
South Node Eclipses ask us to release or redefine energies or attachments that no longer serve our Soul’s evolution. They highlight past issues that need our attention, so we can grow beyond our conditioning, individually and collectively.
Ask yourself: What has shifted for me in regards to my perspectives towards life since Dec. 2020? What believes, expectations, or attitudes, if any, have I redefined or released?
What past issues came up around my social, cultural, or religious conditioning, between Dec. 2020 – June 2021? Where could I take a closer look at those issues over the next 6 months and grow beyond that conditioning? If I take a moment to look beyond my conditioning, what has my direct experience been so far? What needs to either be completed or go to the next level now?
Eclipses are crossroads or turning points along our Soul’s Journey. They are often marked by events or situations that signify a critical shift in our lives, nudging us to either change and grow, or face greater difficulties at the next turning point. The next turning point for this Eclipse will be in early March when the Sun reaches 12.5º of Pisces and squares the Solar Eclipse degree.
Solar Eclipses, in particular, often correspond with major endings and beginnings. They occur close to the same degree every 19 years and the last time we had a South Node Solar Eclipse in a very close degree was on Dec. 4th, 2002.
We are likely to experience a resonance between now and that time — “resonant”, rather than identical — so think back to the Winter of 2002/2003, and ask yourself: Were there any major endings and beginnings? What was important to me back then? If I were to take those priorities to the next level, where would that next level find me?
If you’re looking for more guidance on those questions, I would suggest taking a look at your Natal Chart — the House placement of the Eclipse will indicate which area of life is ready to release outdated beliefs and social conditioning and go to a new level of consciousness. If that idea appeals, check out my 30-minute class, “How to Read Your Birth Chart”.
Solar Eclipses are a good time to go within, to seed anything we would like to redefine or release over the next 6 months — we’ll dig into this in more detail towards the end of this article, when we talk about setting Solar Eclipse Intentions.
PLEASE NOTE, that setting Intentions for an Eclipse is not the same as setting Intentions for a regular New Moon!!!!
With the Solar Eclipse in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, we seek to expand our day-to-day knowledge and look for a larger perspective.
For the next six months, ask yourself: What philosophies most resonate with me? What life perspectives are no longer serving me? What stories have I been telling myself about life? What universal truths feel immediately in alignment with my direct experience of life right now?
Lots to consider with this Eclipse chart…
This New Moon/Solar Eclipse will conjunct Mercury, quincunx Uranus in Taurus, sextile Saturn in Aquarius, and trine Chiron in Aries. Neptune in Pisces is exalted at the time of the Eclipse, and it squares Mercury in Sagittarius. Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, currently in Aquarius squares Mars in Scorpio. Venus & Chiron will start to slow down and start their Station phases very soon after the Eclipse becomes exact. More about all that in a moment, but first let’s take a look at the Mercury/Sun/Moon alignment in Sagittarius…

Mercury aligning with the Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius, allows our mind to think bigger and go beyond our emotional experience, towards a larger perspective on what the meaning of it all might be.
This also invites us to be open to shifting our perceptions. You might therefore want to ask: What are my attitudes towards life? Towards “that situation”? (You know the one 🙂 Where do I insist on “being right”? How do I usually feel afterward?
Here it’s wise to distinguish between three truths: my truth, your truth, and “the truth” — what we need to watch out for is when “my truth” morphs into “the truth”.
Seeing through the illusion of separation from the divine is perhaps the greatest perspective shift of all — and not always an easy one to make. Until we encounter something outside of our conditioned frame of reference, we remain unaware of our assumptions and biases.
Ask yourself: Might stepping outside of my social and cultural conditioning bring me to a place where I can see myself (and perhaps even life itself) from a new perspective? Is it at least possible that I am unaware of my assumptions and biases until I step outside of my social and cultural (or religious) conditioning?
The New Moon/Solar Eclipse will also quincunx Uranus in Taurus, sextile Saturn in Aquarius, and trine Chiron in Aries. So, let’s unpack that…
The New Moon’s Quincunx to Uranus operates more on an internal level — an unexpected turn of events could leave us uneasy or unsettled. This could also indicate a certain degree of restlessness and energetic discomfort in our interactions with others.
Ask yourself: How flexible could I be for the six months, if I really worked at it? What needs to be shifted internally, so I can stay open and aligned with my unique talents, values, and preferences?
Am I feeling particularly uncomfortable with my own social-cultural conditioning? How about other people’s? Do I have certain preferences that others are unable to align with? Do I have judgments about this?
The New Moon’s Sextile to Saturn gives us an opportunity to connect and collaborate with like-minded people, focus on the bigger picture, or simply commit to something that gets us excited about the future.
Ask yourself: What gets me excited about the future? What commitments am I ready to make? Where are my opportunities for collaboration? How might a mature approach serve me with those connections?
The New Moon’s Trine to Chiron makes it easier to explore new healing modalities for body, mind, and heart, aimed at renewing our enthusiasm for life. We are more capable of being compassionate and forgiving with ourselves at this time — and a gentle and holistic approach is best.
Ask yourself: What if expanding my horizons and exploring things holistically could bring a healing quality to wounds around the “masculine” energies (both my personal wounds and the collective wounding)? How might seeing the bigger picture and taking a holistic approach around my masculine energies give me a greater understanding of myself and what I have identified with (or as)?
What if self-love and self-acceptance led to self-alignment? And if there’s even a chance that this might be true, would it then be worth trying 5% more self-acceptance, just as an experiment?
Neptune is the energy that connects us to universal love and the “Higher Heart”. It is exalted in Pisces at the time of the Eclipse and squares Mercury in Sagittarius. This invites us to make adjustments and find creative solutions. We are pulled in two quite different directions:
On the one hand, we experience a desire for inner silence, emotional oneness, and the flow of creativity through us. On the other hand, we also want to explore our belief structures and share our discoveries; the “tension” between these two desires may leave us feeling anxious or restless. As best as you can, slow down, acknowledge what is, and know that all is well in each “now moment”.
Ask yourself: What challenges am I facing at this time around resting, trusting, allowing, and being present? How closely am I in touch with my intuition? Where am I being called to trust my intuition over conventional wisdom?
What might be possible if I shifted further from social-cultural conditioning to “feeling into” the truth of who I am? What if I trusted that truth, the truth of my “Higher Heart”? What if I lived from it?
Jupiter (the ruler of Sagittarius) is currently in Aquarius and squares Mars in Scorpio. We may feel pulled in two quite different directions: On the one hand, we feel eager to explore social perspectives, and connect to like-minded people; on the other hand, we also want to go deeper on an emotional level and connect more intimately and authentically.
We may thus have to address our fears and “issues” with others — and may also stretch ourselves too much, either by moving too fast or by trying to expand beyond what feels healthy and empowering. As best as you can, make adjustments and find creative solutions when it comes to these energies.
Whatever comes up, ask yourself: What am I ready to learn from my interactions with others? Is my enthusiasm running away with me? Does “this” truly feel comfortable to me? Empowering? What fears or concerns are arising into consciousness? What if I simply shared my concerns without assuming the worst? How might 5% more courage to go deeper with others make my connections more meaningful? More authentic?
Venus & Chiron will start to slow down and start their Station phases very soon after the Eclipse becomes exact (within 5 days of the Eclipse). Venus is preparing to start her 6-week Retrograde phase in Capricorn, whereas Chiron is preparing to end its 5-month Retrograde phase in Aries.
Let’s start with Venus: she will be exalted/stationing in 24-26º of Capricorn from Dec. 8th until Dec. 30th; which means that she will align with Pluto for an especially long time. They will both be within 5 degrees of each other from Nov 28th, 2021 until January 4th, 2022. With this combo, we uncompromisingly seek deep, totally authentic business connections with others.
Our instincts are very strong right now, our “inner wolf” is wide-awake, and we can sniff out any unclean intentions right away. Ask yourself: What if I took 100% responsibility for getting what I want and need? What is the highest path to achieve that?
And as always when Pluto is involved, choose the power of love, especially self-love, over the power of fear or self-protection — whenever possible.

The Venus/Pluto alignment in Capricorn also sextiles Mars in Scorpio. This is an opportunity to see more clearly when and how we might want to make long-term investments in other people’s resources. There’s no need to rush anything.
Ask yourself: What if I excelled at thinking opportunities through carefully, responsibly, and performing a thorough “due diligence”? How would I then proceed? What might be a good long-term investment at this time? Who (or what) feels empowering to me?
Chiron will start to slow down and become exalted in 8.5 degrees of Aries from Dec. 9th until Dec. 31st.
Chiron is considered the bridge between the limitation-bound physical world and the unlimited non-physical (or spiritual) realm. It is often referred to as the “Wounded Healer”, reminding us of our humanity, and guiding us to see it as a gift. The more inner changes we’ve made in the last 5 months, the bigger the step forward we can take now.
From Dec. 9th on, ask yourself: What is coming up for me concerning my ancestors’ wounding around “the masculine”? How about my own wounding there?
Where am I responding versus “reacting” to my circumstances? Could I bring an open and compassionate awareness to this? Might a holistic approach — seeing myself as a spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical being — support my personal growth at this time?
To sum it all up: Maintaining a sense of the bigger picture is more important than ever, so we can be empowered rather than manipulated, compassionate rather than judgmental, and make choices from love rather than fear. What we see depends on where we stand. How we interpret our experience dictates our reality and choices.
Ask yourself: What kind of reality do I want to create for myself? Once I know what that reality looks like, could I look at my interpretation of life and what I see outside in the world, and make any adjustments to how I interpret things?
Do I want to believe what I was told by others, or do I simply want to check in with my own “inner knowing”? What is my own “inner knowing” telling me? If I am not sure, what would it be telling me, if I had to make something up that feels “right” or close enough?
If there was a reason for me to be here, what might that reason be? Where am I headed? Where do I need to take a leap of faith… or simply trust?
While flexibility and open-mindedness are always helpful, they are especially important now, so notice when you are digging your heels in about something — it’s usually a sign that you have some underlying anxiety about something else. Take a deep breath, get centered in your body, close your eyes and focus on your third eye.
From this centered place, ask yourself: What am I afraid of happening? How might I channel this restless energy into projects that are asking for progress? What might become possible if I got 5% more comfortable with being uncomfortable?
[/wcm_restrict]
Again, because Eclipses are so powerful, they require a bigger orb than a regular Full or New Moon. I usually use a 5º orb instead of 2º… so since this Solar Eclipse takes place in 12.5 degrees of Sagittarius:
Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 7-18 degrees of Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo, or Pisces? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
Setting Intentions for a Solar Eclipse is a little different from the regular monthly New Moon process — after all, we are setting them for the whole 6-month Eclipse cycle, rather than just the next 28 days.
Solar Eclipse Intentions are best done 48 hours after the Eclipse becomes exact. We are downloading new templates at the time of an Eclipse, and the energies are quite intense, so we want to wait until it all settles down a little before setting our intentions — we also definitely do not want to do this during a Moon void of course.
Given all this, there are two best and most potent times to set your Intentions for this Solar Eclipse:
The first one lasts 21 hours, between 2:43am and 11:42pm on Monday (Dec. 6th), and the second one lasts for almost 20 hours, between 6:49am on Tuesday (Dec. 7th) and 2:43am on Wednesday (Dec. 8th) — (in US Eastern Time — i.e. the New York time zone).
Set powerful intentions — again, they cover the next six months — and if possible, align them with the Sagittarian energy!
If you live in a timezone other than EST (US East Coast-time), and converting time zones isn’t your thing, I suggest joining my Facebook Fan-page and/or following me on Twitter, as I post reminders when it’s time to set your intentions 😉

On Nov. 4th at 5:15pm EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 12.5 degrees of Scorpio, beginning a new Moon cycle.
With the New Moon in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio it brings our focus to our intimate relationships, and deepest emotional desires and fears; if you’d like to learn more about this Lunation, check out my video on the subject 🙂
This New Moon is also the start of Eclipse season — which lasts until Jan. 2nd, 2022. My next Full Moon video will already be about the Lunar Eclipse in Taurus (the first of two Eclipses taking place within the next 4.5 weeks).
Eclipses are times of uncertainty, Uranian in nature, so anything could happen between now and January 2nd. It is important to remember that Eclipses open a door to the next level of our Soul’s evolution.
As best as you can, stay both grounded and flexible — and don’t jump the gun for the next 8.5 weeks — if you feel compelled to do something, do your best to simply observe the urge. The exception would be something that just happens organically, but if you are ambivalent about a possible action, better to hold off until Eclipse Season ends on January 2nd.
Eclipses bring major endings and beginnings. As best you can, trust that whatever is leaving is making space for something better — the more willing we are to change, the easier it will be.
That said, projects and interactions that got underway prior to Eclipse season (i.e. before Nov. 4th) are another matter — don’t stop your life just because it is Eclipse season 😉
I will also talk about the upcoming two Eclipses in more detail in my next Forecasting Forum. If you want to know how these powerful Lunations are going to impact you personally, feel free to join us — we will apply what’s coming up to our own birth charts. The Forum is on Nov. 19th at 2pm EST (the day of the Lunar Eclipse) — for more info, click here.
Also available for purchase as an mp4-video presentation, after Nov. 19th, on my Webinar-page.
Please note that registration to the Forum also includes access to the next Members Lunar Eclipse video and a recording of the live-event 😉 AND, there is an Early Bird Special that will be available until Nov. 16th at midnight EST!
A couple of things to note in this New Moon chart: we have an exact opposition to Uranus in Taurus, the planet associated with breakdowns, breakthroughs, sudden change, freedom and innovation.
We have a T-Square with Saturn in Aquarius as the Focus Point; Venus in Sagittarius will be in an exalted degree at the time of the New Moon; and Mercury (the ruler of the current North Node) is yet again highly aspected by many of the other planets in this New Moon chart, including Pluto (the ruler of Scorpio). More about all of that in a moment, but first let’s talk about the Scorpio energies…
Scorpio is the second water sign of the zodiac, so it relates not only to the depths of our own psyche, but also to the ecstasies and traumas of relationships. Scorpio is also the sign most associated with…

Scorpio is also the sign most associated with the dark: the taboo, the subconscious, the unknown. Our Shadow holds not only our fears, unresolved trauma, and less desirable qualities, but anything that has been repressed, including our: power, intuition, and other gifts.
Ask yourself: What if a journey through the valley of darkness ultimately led to the heights of my true power? How might surrender, trust in a higher power, and letting go of resentment & fear give me a better understanding of peace, authentic connection, and inner strength?
Scorpio is associated with three images: the Scorpion (a solitary creature symbolizing self-protection and instinctive desire), the Eagle (who has a wider awareness and more conscious control over its desires), and the Dove (who has transcended personal desire, and brings peace and healing to others).
Ask yourself: What am I gifted when I face my deepest fears? What if going deeper, towards what scares me the most, never led to an actual death of any kind, and always and only led to transformation?
Like I already mentioned briefly, Scorpio also deals with our Shadow issues. The “Shadow” is all the suppressed, denied, or undeveloped qualities of our personality. Unprocessed Shadow material pushes our buttons and makes us vulnerable to control and manipulation.
Suppression and denial, projection and blame keep us stuck; conscious awareness shows us the way out. Healing happens when we bring light to the dark, becoming conscious of what had been stored in the basement of our psyche.
Ask yourself: What benefits might I reap if I were to transmute my Shadow issues?
Noticing our own desires, fears, or sense of humor is important, because the Shadow also makes itself visible through those…
So, what Shadow issues need to be addressed over the next four weeks? Here are some questions to help you reclaim your projections: Who really bothers me “out there” in the world? Who do I love to hate? What specifically bothers me about them?
Who do I admire and why? What scares me most about myself? What recurring, uncomfortable, or scary dreams (or daydreams) do I have? What do I love to joke about that feels a little “edgy”?
Now, let’s talk about some of the planetary aspects in this New Moon chart:
This New Moon opposes Uranus in Taurus. Uranus is the planet associated with breakdowns, breakthroughs, sudden change, freedom and innovation. We might experience some sudden and unexpected turns over the next four weeks. We are invited to examine our relationship to money, power, and resources (personal and shared).
Ask yourself: How can I balance my need for a deeper, more empowered experience with others, against my wish to honor my personal values and desire for freedom?
We might also feel nervous or anxious as we become aware of what’s not working for us anymore (financially, physically or emotionally) — and the itch to move forward and realize a new vision for ourselves feels very strong. It may well be true that something needs to change… but we must take care not to rush into anything.
Ask yourself: How is my life being interrupted by “divine interventions”? What insights might those interventions hold for me?
What needs more space? How might thinking outside the box support my connections with others? What needs a new approach in my interactions? How might staying flexible when it comes to my intimate relationships or financial partnerships benefit me?
How might staying calm in this uncertain climate support my sanity? What might support me with staying calm?
The New Moon also makes a wide Square to Saturn in Aquarius, making Saturn the Focus Point of a T-Square. All of this creates some tension, but also an invitation both to innovate and to clarify our priorities. We may become anxious or stressed over a situation or interaction involving a group of people, community, or network of people out there in the world.
We may feel more cautious when it comes to relationships and our resources. It definitely signifies a maturity process that demands great adjustments and flexibility on our part.
Ask yourself: How might slowing down and taking it one step at a time be beneficial for me right now? How might a mature approach, with healthy boundaries, support my dealings with others? If I were able to find creative solutions to my current frustrations, what might those be? What if I could express what’s in my heart whilst remaining “adult”?
The New Moon also makes a wide Trine to Neptune in Pisces. This makes it easier for us to trust and flow with energy currents, rather than struggle against them. It also makes it easier to release past traumas or emotional attachments that no longer serve us — respectively keeping us in a lower vibrational place.
Ask yourself: What traumas from my past are asking to be released? What if I took a closer look at some old resentments, fears, and misperceptions? If I gave those difficult experiences my conscious awareness, my love, and spoke the truth about them, might this dispel any remaining darkness around them?
What am I afraid would happen if I let go of needing to be in control? What am I afraid of happening if I completely surrendered to Life? To Love?
If “out of control” was simply a matter of perspective, would I still resist it? Would I dare to embrace it? Could I trust, just for right now, that there is always a “bigger” plan at play? What if I simply asked my Higher Self to support me in letting things unfold for the highest good of everyone involved — rather than assuming I know what that might be?
Mars, the traditional ruler of Scorpio, represents our willpower and passion. Mars in an early degree of Scorpio is closely aligned with Mercury in a late degree of Libra. This combo might speed up our thinking.
We communicate with curiosity, enthusiasm, and energy, especially on the subjects of: justice or reform, our relationships, or our desire for anything connected to a deeper, more authentic connection with ourselves and others. We seek the very heart of a subject.
Something to be aware of: We may take things a little too personally. This approach could make it challenging for others to engage in a healthy dialogue with us.
Ask yourself: Could I observe and discern, rather than judge others for the time being? Am I seeing all of the facts? Might a deep breath into my lower belly help soothe and clear my mind? What if I experiment with taking that deep breath whenever I feel impatient or feel a sense of urgency?
Mercury and Mars will journey closely together until Nov. 16th, and will also be involved in a powerful T-Square between Nov. 8-16th. The T-Square I am referring to involves Mars, Saturn & Uranus: strong until Nov. 21st.
This T-Square asks us to focus on our ability to be self-expressed in a mature and timely manner. It asks us to focus on our heart-center, and what brings us joy.
Asking, “What am I grateful for right here, right now?” could be really helpful over the next four weeks, and save us from depression, anxiety, or feeling like we don’t belong.

Last but not least, let’s talk about Mercury in Libra making a close Square to Pluto (the modern ruler of Scorpio), trining Jupiter and sextiling an exalted Venus. Let’s unpack all of that:
Let’s start with Mercury’s Square to Pluto in Capricorn: Due to Mercury’s Retrograde in October, we have experienced this Square several times already in the past 7 weeks.
Mercury represents our ability to connect and communicate, as well as learn and process information. This aspect challenges us to find meaning in our life through processing truthful information. We must now uncover the deeper layers of our life.
We are invited to redefine our relationship to truth, responsibility, and power. The gift of misinformation is that it forces us to trust our inner guidance.
Ask yourself: How can I empower myself and others 5% more today? How might an increase of self-care support the desire for empowered conversations and connections? What needs to be said? What doesn’t?
The blessing of the abuse of power is that it ultimately teaches us to act humanely. We are learning that we are not victims, that we always have a choice as to how we respond, and that we declare our humanity every day with the choices we make.
With Pluto in the mix, interactions could be intense. As best you can, empower rather than disempower. It’s time to let go of destructive thought forms and attachments.
Ask yourself: How can I grow and evolve in my communications? How might a deeper sense of listening to myself or others support me on that journey? Is there a conversation (inner or outer) that I need to outgrow?
As best as you can, stay grounded in love, not fear. Stay flexible and open-minded, and of course, nurture yourself; make sure you have everything you need to be able to come from a place of inner strength & empowerment.
Ask yourself: If I observe an “all-or-nothing” attitude in myself, could I give myself permission to relax into the “love-energy” that always resides inside of me? Could I first acknowledge, and then release, any fears or concerns connected to achievements or relationships?
Mercury’s Trine to Jupiter in Aquarius: This harmonious connection strengthens our ability to connect and collaborate with others. We are tolerant of other perspectives and ideas, naturally avoid narrow-minded thinking, and feel at ease reconnecting with people from all walks of life.
Ask yourself: What are my expectations or attitudes towards the collective experience? What new vantage point might show me how to reinvent myself and my vision for “my people”, my tribe?
Mercury’s Sextile to an exalted Venus in Sagittarius: Venus is in an exalted degree, because she is in the last degree of Sagittarius, at the time of the New Moon.
A planet in the last degree of a sign feels “louder”, as it is trying to express as much as it can of the current sign, before moving into the next — sort of a “last hoorah” before moving on, in this case, into Capricorn, where Venus will journey until early March 2022 (due to her Retrograde phase in December 2021 & January 2022).
This exalted degree also indicates a strong urge to complete something — most likely something that started on or after Oct. 7th (when Venus started her journey through Sagittarius).
Venus represents our relationships (the one to others and to ourselves) and that which we most value. In Sagittarius, we most value adventure, looking for the larger meaning, getting a new perspective on life, getting away from our routines and exploring new relationships.
There might be an impatience in the air around our interactions with others. The Sextile between Mercury and Venus gives us the opportunity for more enthusiastic and enhanced communication, as well as, making new social contacts, especially with people who share our philosophies about life.
Ask yourself: Who comes to mind when I think of people who share my philosophy? How might we be able to support each other? What needs to be said? Where do I need to give others the gift of listening?
What is the larger picture? How might speaking my truth support someone else in processing something new or different?
To Sum it All Up: Being open to trusting the process and going with the flow are key! Most of our lives are shaped by fears: too much of something, not enough of something else… not being loved, not being liked, being judged, rejected, some form of loss, maybe even physical death, being the recipient of physical or emotional pain, etc.
Scorpio territory is not easy. Facing our deepest feelings and fears, confronting our demons and our death is the most difficult work we will ever do. But the rewards it brings — inner peace, freedom, and wholeness — make it all worth it.
This New Moon in Scorpio invites us to let go of whatever is dead (or toxic). Often, this is connected to past disempowerment — fears based either on “what was”, or on a possible future in which we would not be ok — and all this can be scary and stir up the desire for control or to protect ourselves. The survival brain thinks that control brings power, certainty, stability… but it’s all an illusion based in fear.
Remember: “Fear” is resistance to life, whereas “Love” is acceptance of life in all its forms: the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Ask yourself: As best as I can, could I acknowledge any self-resistance? Resistance toward others? To life itself? And, just for right now, could I simply let go of wanting to resist what is? Could I set all inner tension free… just as best as I can… just for right now… just as an experiment in freedom?
The key is to realize that “letting go” is not about loss, but about transformation — and, ultimately, about feeling empowered, since every ending is also a new beginning.
Trust also plays a big part here, just as it does in all our intimate relationships and authentic connections — and trust, whether in ourselves or with others, is something that develops over time — and for those of us who have experienced traumatic events or circumstances, this process can take a little longer. So, as best as you can, be patient and kind with yourself, if you are in that category.
Ask yourself: What if true intimacy with another is only possible when I allow for the full range of emotions? What if my capacity for love and joy grew directly in relation to my ability to embrace my fears and pain?
Again, flexibility and open-mindedness will definitely help for the next 28 days. Embracing our humanity and practicing self-compassion, especially around our inner processes and limitations, provides an opportunity for healing.

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 10-15 degrees of Scorpio, Taurus, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle. Intentions are best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact — and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.
So this month, the best time to set intentions would be any time between 5:15pm (Nov. 4th) and 12:10pm on Nov. 5th; then again from 8:52pm (Nov. 5th) until 5:15pm on Nov. 6th — New York Time/US Eastern Time (please keep in mind that Europe and the UK do no longer have Daylight Savings Time, therefore the time difference is an hour less than usual at the time of the New Moon)
If you live in a timezone other than EDT (US East Coast-time), feel free to join my Facebook Fan-page or follow me on twitter. I will be posting reminders on Nov. 4th, 5th and 6th, to let you know when it is the most potent time to set your intentions.

On Oct. 6th at 7:05am EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 13.5 degrees of Libra, beginning a new Moon cycle.
New Moons are introverted times, when we go within to learn what we wish to align ourselves with for the next 28 days; with this New Moon in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, this will likely be win-win situations, fair exchanges, and harmony (within our relationships and with our general environment). Check out my New Moon video to learn more about this.
Even though we have four planets in Libra at the time of this New Moon (the Sun, the Moon, Mars, and Mercury), harmony and balance is not something that is easily achieved with this lunation. In fact, we have plenty of challenging aspects in this New Moon chart that might keep us off-balance — to say nothing of the Pluto Station Direct phase that has been intensifying since Sept. 29th and that will come to a complete halt on Oct. 6th, only 7.5 hours after the New Moon becomes exact — and of course, we also have Mercury still in its Retrograde phase in Libra until Oct. 18th.
More about all those details in a moment: first, let’s talk about the New Moon — and specifically, the Libra component of this New Moon chart…
All relationships begin with our relationship to ourselves — everything “out there” is a reflection of “in here”… Ideally speaking, interacting with another person is a co-creative, equal exchange — we must be centered within ourselves, yet also tuned into each other, all the while responding to the rhythm of life.
Here are some useful questions to ask yourself for this new Moon cycle: What does an “equal relationship” look like? Where is the balance point? What comes up for me when I hear the phrase “the art of relationship”?
As the seventh sign in the zodiac, Libra represents a major turning point, one that invites us to investigate ourselves through the lens of “the other” (by relating on a one-on-one level).
Anything we haven’t mastered from the six signs that precede Libra, we bring to all of our relationships, attracting people who mirror back to us our relationship with ourselves: Libra thus invites us to see all of our issues, resolve them, and become whole.
Ask yourself: What if harmony and peace were mine to create within me first? The Libra energy encourages us to…

The Libra energy encourages us to see both sides of a situation and find the middle path (or better yet, a win-win). If we are to reconcile opposite energies, we need to seek the highest and best outcome for everyone involved — in other words, we need to see everyone as equally deserving… including ourselves!
Ask yourself: What does “treating others fairly” mean to me? What does “being treated fairly” mean to me? If I could envision the “ideal” relationship, what would that look like to me? Could I give myself permission to drop my expectations and my “shoulds” around relationships just for right now?
What might be a first step towards relationships that honor both parties equally? How might honoring myself contribute to that? What might be possible if I gave myself permission to approve of myself, right here, right now — for no particular reason — “just because”? What if I balanced and integrated my inner masculine and feminine?
Let’s talk about some of the other planets and signs involved in this Lunation:
Jupiter in Aquarius will start to feel more exalted by Oct. 8th, as it will slow down (station), but Pluto and Saturn are both exalted at the time of the New Moon due to their Station phase and their influence will be particularly strong, given they both change directions and end their respective Retrograde phases within 4 days of the New Moon being exact (in the case of Pluto, within 7.5 hours).
Once these three planets end their Retrograde phases and “go direct”, we will be able to move forward in the areas of our lives that have been subjected to self-examination over the preceding 4-5 months.
I just want to mention quickly the webinar I recorded on Sept. 17th — we discussed the Pluto & Saturn Station Direct phase in Capricorn and Aquarius, and how all of this looks in relation to our own Birth charts.

Let’s talk about Saturn and Pluto, since they play a crucial part in their New Moon chart:
Saturn brings up a desire to focus on our various networks and communities (both in-person and online), taking things one step at a time, while Pluto is urging us to build something solid, lasting, and emotionally empowering to us and future generations.
Ask yourself: Are there any rigid attitudes or limitations on my part that might be interfering with my ability to connect with others? What if I could stay true to myself while taking other people’s needs and limitations into account?
We are also being asked to take a realistic and mature approach to our long-term aspirations, one that also feels emotionally empowering to us, and is aligned with our Soul’s Purpose.
Ask yourself: Is it time to live life in moderation? How could I best manage my frustrations? My obsessions? Where could I slow down for a moment and catch my breath? What commitments and responsibilities are calling me out of my comfort zone? How could I maintain a direct and courageous approach even if life puts up roadblocks or throws me some curveballs?
What if I simply knew that I could handle whatever shows up? What if I just decided to bring maturity and self-responsibility to my passions and goals, no matter what? What if I made a daily practice of tapping into the power of the love within?
Since everyone is going through this, humanity is going through a tremendous transformational process, and each one of us needs to take a look at how we personally want to contribute to that transformation in a meaningful way.
Here’s the question: What if there was a way to honor my desire for a passionate, exciting new beginning on a personal level, while also expanding my perspectives around the longer game for society?
What if all this could also be combined with my quest for a socially responsible way of life? And what if that way of life could feel exciting and effortlessly sustainable for all?
Remember, Pluto is an emotional empowerment process; if something is “killing us slowly”, we will surely become aware of it during a Pluto Station.
We also are more aware of how and when we give our power away to others. For example, we do so every time we make someone else responsible for how we feel or react, rather than focusing where we have control or influence, and then doing what feels most empowering and nurturing to ourselves — acknowledging our own feelings and taking care of them is a big part of that.
The power always lies within ourselves and we can experience that power when we focus on making a choice that empowers us. And of course, with Pluto in Capricorn, what empowers us most is self-responsibility — for both our shadow and our light — and making sure that our “inner baby” feels safe and nurtured.
With such a strong and exalted Pluto in Capricorn, it is essential that we nurture our feeling body, and stay open to receiving support from familiar, trusted people — as best as we can, of course.
Ask yourself: How might a tight and sustained focus on my emotional wellbeing support me with my long-term goals and relationships (including the “relationship” I have with myself)? Just for this moment, right now, could I see if a nurturing approach feels empowering? Or perhaps helps me step outside my comfort zone? If any of that might be so, what modest daily practice might best provide that nurturing?
With this in mind, I want to call on anyone who needs emotional, spiritual, or mental support right now to do a Coaching-Healing session with me. They are very powerful and very gentle at the same time, as they allow you to let go of any stress or uncomfortable feelings, and provide a chance to reconnect with the inner peace and calm that is always available to you underneath all of the turmoil or stress.

Now let’s take a look at some of the aspects in this New Moon chart: The New Moon aligns tightly with Mars, and also with Mercury in Libra (Mercury is Retrograde at the time of the New Moon); the New Moon/Mars alignment opposes Chiron in Aries, trines Saturn in Aquarius, and quincunxes Uranus in Taurus. So let’s unpack all of that:
The alignment to Mars and Mercury in Libra asks us to go after something we feel passionate about — and use all the energy and enthusiasm we have access to right now to get lots done in our one-on-one relationships or partnerships. As best as you can, be yourself, without offending others.
Ask yourself: What is worth fighting for in my various one-on-one relationships or partnerships? What would a win-win look like? How can I move towards that? What actions might bring me closer to experiencing inner and outer balance?
What if I decided to move towards fair and just interactions with others, even when it feels impossible? How might carefully listening to my intuitive self and others support me on that path?
With Mercury Retrograde until Oct. 18th, we get a chance to explore our inner relationship between masculine and the feminine, the amount of approval we seek from others or from ourselves, our ability to create balance in our lives, and “just” collaborations.
For the next two weeks, we are invited to go within, and start looking at how much we value ourselves and our one-on-one relationships.
This will help us learn where we need to make space for peaceful collaboration and artful communication. We may also get to reorganize partnerships that we started after Sept. 6th (when Mercury started its pre-Shadow phase).
Ask yourself: How can I bring a more balanced approach to life? What might I want to address from the past that felt imbalanced or disharmonious? What is ready to be cleared? Is there anything that has felt unjust or misaligned with my thinking, that now needs rethinking, retooling, and releasing?
Now, let’s talk about the New Moon/Mars alignment opposing Chiron in Aries: Oppositions can be acted out within relationships — given this, we may get triggered by others and become defensive or touchy.
Resentments or frustrations can surface with this aspect — and someone may be poking at our wounds or pointing out our shortcomings, bringing up our insecurities or secret shame that is connected not only to what is happening at that moment, but also to our past — especially our childhood.
If this happens, as best as you can, locate the original pain or wound, and bring compassion, love, understanding and forgiveness to yourself (and in particular towards your younger Self). Healing can only take place if we are willing to embrace our limitations and love our most vulnerable places.
Ask yourself: How might we be able to support each other on our individual healing journeys? What if taking a compassionate approach towards myself and my goals actually made for more harmonious interactions with others?
Could I allow others to engage with me in a way that facilitates a more holistic exploration of my “persona”? How about vice versa? Could I engage with others in a way that facilitates a more holistic exploration of someone else’s persona, identity, or personal goals?
Now, let’s talk about the New Moon/Mars alignment trining Saturn in Aquarius: Here, we are able to take responsibility for what is durable and sustainable in our communities and collaborations.
The connections we are making over the next four weeks are more likely to be for the long-term. We can bring honesty and realism to the world, see what works and what doesn’t work for us, and are more likely to approach things with integrity.
Ask yourself: If the world needed something from me over the next four weeks, what might that be? What might be possible if I met people half-way? What if it were possible for me to take responsibility for my interactions no matter what shows up?
Now, last but not least, let’s talk about the New Moon/Mars alignment quincunxing Uranus in Taurus: this aspect calls for flexibility, and we might feel some internal discomfort.
Ask yourself: Am I driven by personal resistance and rebellion, or by a desire to positively impact humanity? What might become possible if I could get 5% more comfortable with being uncomfortable?
How might a greater awareness of my own inner balance and harmony (or the lack thereof) create more peace in my interactions with others? What if it led to me being more fully myself and brought others closer?
Venus (the ruler of Libra) is currently in a late degree of Scorpio, and makes a close alignment with the South Node in an early degree of Sagittarius; Venus in Scorpio asks us to find more meaningful and trust-filled connections to others.
With the South Node in Sagittarius, we tend to get attached to our belief systems and the stories we tell ourselves about life — and therefore might also become self-righteous, perhaps even persecute those who differ in their point of view.
Venus is connected to our values and preferences. Therefore, with Venus on the South Node, we are invited to take a look at our values and preferences with greater discernment or awareness and, as always, release anything that is toxic or self-destructive.
Ask yourself: How can I best apply my wisdom in my trusted relationships at this time? What stories am I telling myself about my intimate relationships? My financial collaborations?
What would help me stay open-minded when it comes to values — my own and other people’s? What if I were 5% more willing to incorporate new information that comes my way? What difference might connecting and listening 5% more deeply make?
How could I show my tolerance towards others? Towards life itself? Might a teaspoon of faith support me at this time?
Venus in Scorpio also sextiles Pluto in Capricorn: This aspect brings an opportunity for deeper insights into our relationships and the social structures we want to transform.
Ask yourself: What is my relationship to power? Do I distinguish between power that comes from within, versus power that is connected to external components?
Do I feel empowered in my chosen contributions to society and the world at large? Do I feel comfortable with the social structures that are currently in place — and with the limitations they bring? Could it perhaps be useful to release any fears of scarcity and resulting distrust? Could I put my trust where it is worth putting?
As I mentioned already, Pluto is still Stationing, and therefore very exalted — and this can sometimes cause discomfort. Rather than pushing into that discomfort and creating more of it, or pulling away from it to create more ease, we are being asked to simply “be with it” or “hang out with it”, until the planet picks up speed again around Oct. 21st.
To sum it all up for this New Moon: Life sometimes forces us into dark and difficult experiences, and whenever this happens, we need to keep in mind that the “gold” in any such experience lies with how we evolve as a result.
Ask yourself: Where do I experience major tests around integrity? Boundaries? Social propriety (in other words, the standards that are deemed socially acceptable or appropriate)? Where do I need to take more responsibility? Where do I need to draw the line and say “enough is enough”?
As best as you can, remember you’re always accomplishing things and making progress — even if it’s not visible yet. Self-care is a very important component in this — in fact, without it, we can’t accomplish much, as we’re always behind the eight-ball. Ask yourself: What role does rest and recreation play in my ability to achieve my highest potential? Or in my playing a meaningful part in society?
This New Moon reminds us that all of life is in essence about relationship — our relationship to ourselves, to others, the Earth, and the Universe.
For the next four weeks, do your best to seek empowering relationships without compromising your essential self, values, and future visions — and in turn, empower others to be themselves, and allow them to honor their differences.

Here is a quote that fits really well with this New Moon:
“There’s been a coup underway for awhile now, a quiet coup happening under the radar, one that’s never reported by the media, one that is far more radical and world-changing than anything history has ever seen. This isn’t a coup that simply overthrows governmental systems or the people in power, but a coup that overturns our very perception of reality. This coup is the overthrow of an idea that led us down this path of suffering and brought us to the brink of ecological catastrophe, an idea that set the stage for every imaginable injustice: the idea of “separateness”… Despite how frightening our present circumstances appear, they are lending immense momentum to this quiet coup that is preparing the way for a new world to arise, a world that reflects the inviolable truth of Love.” — Patricia Pearce
Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 11-16 degrees of Libra, Aries, Capricorn or Cancer? If so, you may feel the effects of this Super New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer).
The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle. Intentions are best set soon after the New Moon becomes exact, and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase — so this month, the best time to set intentions would be any time between 7:05am on Oct. 6th, and 1:03am on Oct. 7th, or between 10:22am on Oct. 7th, and 7:05am, on Oct. 8th (New York-Time).
If you live outside the EDT timezone (i.e. US East Coast time), I recommend you join my Facebook Fan-page or follow me on Twitter; I will be posting reminders to let you know when it is time to set your intentions 😉

On Sept. 6th at 8:52pm EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 14.5 degrees of Virgo, marking the beginning of a new Moon cycle. We started to feel the effects of this New Moon the moment the Moon entered Virgo on Sunday evening (Sept. 5th). Feel free to watch my New Moon video on the subject.
This New Moon has an abundance of planets in Earth & Air signs: the Moon, the Sun, and Mars in Virgo, Pluto in Capricorn, and Uranus in Taurus (all planets in Earth Signs) and then Mercury and Venus in Libra, Saturn and Jupiter in Aquarius, and the North Node in Gemini (Air Signs).
The element of Earth deals with the physical reality of things and usually requires a practical approach. The Air element deals with the mental level; usually we have the ability to look at what’s ideal and how we might create it through connection with others. This means that our focus will be on those things for the next four weeks — on both the individual and collective levels.
I will talk more about this in connection with the planetary aspects of this New Moon chart, but first let’s look at the Virgo energy of this New Moon:
Virgo provides an opportunity to learn about being of service — and what it might mean to strengthen our focus on improving our daily routines — getting organized, for example — and taking care of health matters.
A great way to step into the higher vibrations of Virgo: recognize, as best as you can, that humility, self-improvement, and being of service bring you closer to your inner divinity and your Soul’s path.
Ask yourself: How could I, as a Spirit-being, operate more efficiently in the physical world? Might tweaking my daily routines help me function better in the physical world? Might that also support me in being of service? What benefits might I reap if I could better discern between the essential and the redundant?
This New Moon cycle will thus be a great time to begin…

This New Moon cycle will thus be a great time to begin new projects that demand attention to detail, list-making, and taking pride in “small” accomplishments. We might start a new health regimen, perhaps by paying close attention to our diet; we could also set up specific routines that help us manage our lives in constructive and mindful ways.
This cycle is all about handling the nitty-gritty details of our day-to-day life in an organized, step-by-step fashion, so we can free our minds of clutter. Where could you use more open space?
Things to watch out for: sweating the details, worrying, and being extra-critical of ourselves and others when something doesn’t get done “right”.
Since the New Moon in Virgo trines Uranus in Taurus, we can ask ourselves: How might new, fresh, and practical ideas create progress in my daily routines? Where might I find something unexpected that changed my relationship to health and wellbeing?
We are able to better connect to anything that requires attention to detail over the next four weeks (until Oct. 6th). We might also perhaps implement revolutionary health routines or other systems in our day-to-day life that support our values and make life more enjoyable.
What might this look like for you?
The New Moon also makes a wide conjunction with Mars in Virgo. This might stir up impatience and frustration when things don’t line up perfectly right away. Should this show up for you in the next four weeks, ask yourself: What might shift if I trusted in the timing of everything that is currently unfolding? What if acceptance of “what is” was key to manifesting my goals? What if the same was true of taking care of my daily routines? Or of my health routines?
This Moon-Sun-Mars combo also makes an Opposition to Neptune in Pisces and a Trine to Pluto in Capricorn.
The Opposition to Neptune invites us to find a balance between the head and the heart. It could also bring up feelings of being ungrounded, overwhelmed or tired. Ask yourself: Am I feeling overwhelmed? Do I get easily distracted? Do I zone out?
If the answer to any of those is “yes”, as best as you can, center yourself in the here and now. Allow yourself to be present, listen to what’s inside of you (beyond the mind), trust your intuitive Self.
Ask yourself: Could I simply tune in for a moment and see if I need to take a break (or at least slow down a little)? Could I be 5% more compassionate and kind to myself and others?
The Trine to Pluto supports clarity around what fears, behaviors, or destructive patterns have been holding us back. Ask yourself: How could my discernment and practical decision-making abilities help me manifest my long-term goals? What if “simplifying my life” supported a deeper, more passionate and authentic connection to my long-term goals?
Mars also quincunxes Jupiter in Aquarius; this calls for some inner adjustments, and we are invited to develop an inner awareness around two very different urges: on the one hand, the desire to engage in our daily routines, observing what works and what doesn’t, making practical improvements accordingly — and on the other, the need to explore our expectations and assumptions around social connections and networks, and our vision for the future.
Ask yourself: Am I being too impulsive or impatient? Restless? What might it look like if I focused my energies towards being of Service? Am I over-analyzing things? Could I allow for experimentation? Is doing more, necessarily better? How might “doing too much” impact my well-being?
Last but not least, the New Moon also squares the current Moon Nodes in Gemini/Sagittarius, which means we are collectively at a crossroads: We are being asked to take a 90-degree turn, to gain a new perspective, to explore different avenues leading to different outcomes, especially in regards to our health routines and daily well-being.
Ask yourself: What beliefs are holding me back from living a healthy life? What do I need to implement in my daily routines so I can be healthy and happy? Could I be open to shifting my perception? Where have I made assumptions or placed blame?
What if I combined a positive attitude towards experimentation with the ability to remain curious? What if I didn’t have all the answers?
Notice when your busy mind distracts you from being discerning. Notice when your beliefs or assumptions take you on a detour away from improving your daily routines. Notice when “being right” becomes more important than “being discerning” or ” being of service”.
When you notice any of the above, ask yourself: Might a moment of silence bring me back to what works in my daily routines? Might it allow me to make better choices for myself? Might it support me in being discerning instead of judgmental?
Mercury, the ruler of Virgo, enters its pre-Shadow phase only 5 hours before the New Moon becomes exact. This means that for most of this Lunation (i.e. the next 4 weeks) we are traveling through territory that will be of significance even past this Moon phase — as we need to revisit certain things during Mercury’s Retrograde phase (Sept. 27th – Oct. 18th).
To find out how you can best use Mercury’s pre-Shadow phase to your own advantage, watch “Mercury’s pre-Shadow phase, Sept. 2021” to see how this relates to your own Birth Chart…

Mercury, currently in Libra, makes an opposition to Chiron in Aries, and forms a Grand Air Trine with Saturn in Aquarius and the North Node in Gemini. Let’s unpack that:
Mercury’s Opposition to Chiron indicates that we need to find a balance between two very different energies — on the one hand, taking a compassionate approach towards our “persona” and our personal goals — and on the other hand, our need to communicate and collaborate with others in a harmonious way.
Ask yourself: How might we be able to support each other on our individual healing journeys? What if taking a compassionate approach towards myself and my goals actually made for more harmonious conversations with others?
Could I allow others to share something with me that might contribute to a more holistic exploration of my “persona”? How about visa versa? Could I share something with others that might contribute to a more holistic exploration of someone else’s persona, identity or personal goals?
The Grand Air Trine gives us the opportunity to raise our mental vibrations, making it easier to connect with others while staying open-minded, and also helping us stay committed to long-term partnerships or friendships.
Collaboration comes more easily, as long as we remember to be aware, and release any dogmatic or intolerant conditioning from the past. Ask yourself: What collaborations will best serve me over the next four weeks? Where can I build mutual respect with others? Who might welcome a dialogue that is open-minded and with the potential for long-term sustainability?
Venus in Libra makes some important aspects as well: she squares Pluto in Capricorn and trines Jupiter in Aquarius.
Venus’ Square to Pluto indicates that we really want to collaborate with others and play nice, but also feel a deep urge to be authentic and truthful about what we want to build and focus on long-term; we may have to make some changes or adjustments to some long-term goals — and perhaps also some relationships.
As best as you can, be open to receiving feedback from others, while remaining connected to what empowers you from within! If you feel pressured into doing something, or feel a power-struggle building, get as centered and grounded as you’re able, then use your creativity to craft win/win situations.
If you encounter power-struggles, ask yourself: What if this were a major growth opportunity in disguise? Could I let go of wanting to control another person’s experience so I can feel better myself? Could I let go of wanting to be controlled?
When fears or struggles arise, could I trust in the power of love and an open heart (or surrendering to a higher power)?
Remember: Fear is not Truth, it is a feeling based on memory or on “worst case scenarios” (which are speculations about possible futures, not truth).
Venus’ Trine to Jupiter brings a good dose of optimism, faith and a sense of the “bigger picture” to our interactions with like-minded people and also to our one-on-one relationships. We tend to relate to others in a positive (even inspiring) manner; as you can imagine, it is thus much easier to make social contacts.
Ask yourself: What opportunities are opening up to me at this time? What connections might bring about expansion? What if I asked “who” as well as “how”?
To sum it all up: the message of this New Moon is loud and clear: It spotlights how less can be more (clutter, “busyness”, stress), and how this translates into a more satisfying and meaningful life, long-term.
Be Mindful. Dedicate yourself to what’s important with compassion in your heart! Remember that perfection is not a goal, it is a journey!
Ask yourself: What if I favored progress over perfection? How could I release “old” dogmas? What if I discerned what’s truly important to me and focused there for improvements? How do I communicate my thoughts and findings to others?

On Aug. 8th, at 9:50am EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 16 degrees of Leo — in other words, the New Moon will be exact (I recommend you also watch my New Moon video on the subject).
There are several planets that have importance in this New Moon chart: Mercury in Leo, Uranus in Taurus, Saturn in Aquarius, Chiron in Aries, and Mars in Virgo.
Mercury aligns with the New Moon in Leo, making mental engagement an important part of our process for the next 28 days. Mercury also makes several other aspects in this New Moon chart (including a “Yod”), making it especially important for this Lunation.
Uranus is not only exalted in this New Moon chart, it is also once again the Focus point of a T-Square… But more about all of that in a moment; first let’s talk about the New Moon energies:
The New Moon in fun-loving, extroverted, expressive Leo has us looking for heartfelt experiences. It’s important for us to express ourselves, to learn about love — and in particular, to learn about how those things work together to help us create from the heart and from a place of joy.
Think about the keywords for this self-expressed fire sign: “proud, generous, hospitable, caring, warm, authoritative, active, open, fun-loving”… How could you live into those words?
Leo is ruled by the Sun, symbol of consciousness and the unique light we came to shine in this lifetime — this is what we were born to explore and express — so ask yourself: Where could I shine my unique light more brightly? What brings me joy? Not just in general… but in this very moment?
Leo also represents our…

Leo also represents our creativity: there are as many ways to be creative and self-expressed as there are “selves” — indeed, we are all creators — we create with every thought, word, and action.
Creativity requires innocence, curiosity, courage, and play. To live it out, we must tap into the unique spark inside of us in a joyful way — and allow ourselves the freedom to make mistakes — creativity thrives on love and permission and is stifled by judgment and fear.
Take a moment to contact your “free inner child” — that place inside that is ready to play and create. What might encourage that inner child to come out and play? If you aren’t sure, there’s no need to guess: Try asking it gently and directly…
As I already started to talk about earlier, Mercury closely aligns with the New Moon in Leo, and this encourages us to be more aware of our thoughts and exchanges with others.
This planetary alignment in Leo encourage us to align with our heart and be playful and joyous; we also get an opportunity to connect to our “inner child”, and to children in general.
You might say this builds on an earlier question: What brings me joy? Not just in general… but in this very “moment of now”? What drains my vitality? What energizes me?
What have I always wanted to say? Who have I always wanted to be? What if, just for right now, just as an experiment, I met life with a courageously open heart and mind?
There are other Mercury aspects in this New Moon chart: Mercury opposes Jupiter in Aquarius — and creates a Yod-aspect with Pluto and Neptune.
The opposition to Jupiter invites us to find a balance between our need for fun, laughter, and social connections out there in the world. We are also invited to balance what we think we need to be happy and authentically ourselves, versus social expectations, for example those coming from our networks or communities (both online and local).
Expect a lot of talking and sharing — and possibly some over-thinking or impulsive communication. Impatience is likely a side-effect of this aspect as well, so as best as you can, take the “observer” position toward your mind.
Ask yourself: What benefits might I reap if I started listening to my own thoughts 5% more without needing to do anything about them? Might that contribute to having more joy in my life? Might I be able to see the bigger picture more easily from the observer position? What role could humor play in all of this?
Qunicunxes are aspects that signal inner discomfort and the need for some adjustments. The Yod aspect consists of two Quincunxes, both pointing towards Mercury in Leo, making Mercury the Focus of this aspect. This means the adjustments in question must be made so we can share ourselves authentically, from the heart, even if it feels uncomfortable.
Given this, for the next 28 days, ask yourself: What do I hear when I listen closely to my heart? What do I need to express that is dear to my heart — even when fear is present? Even when it feels uncomfortable to do so?
How can I be courageous in my communications without dominating the conversation? Could I permit myself to get in touch with my inner child — and communicate my truth when appropriate?
Could I refrain from getting attached to things going “my way”? What if “pride” was able to take a back seat? What if I focused on gratitude, giving compliments, connecting to my inner joy, and being playful instead?
Now let’s talk about Uranus for a moment. Why? Because it is exalted at the time of the New Moon! Let me explain: Uranus is moving more slowly, at the time of the New Moon, as it prepares for its Retrograde phase, which begins on Aug. 19th. It will remain exalted until Sept. 2nd!!!
To see how this impacts your personal chart, watch my latest webinar: “Uranus in Taurus Exalted, August 2021”. I highly recommend this! ==> Click here for more info or to purchase. Current Star Members, already received the mp4-video recording of this webinar. Please check your email 😉
Uranus highlights where we are called to break old patterns and make radical shifts both collectively and individually.
Ask yourself: What is confronting me at this time around financial freedom? Or around practical-yet-unique approaches to being comfortable and enjoying life? What might need to break down for me to have a breakthrough? Is there anything in my life that I need to approach with “progress” in mind?
Uranus is also once more the Focus point of a T-Square, involving Saturn in Aquarius (of course), and this time, the New Moon in Leo.
All of this creates some tension, but also an invitation both to innovate and to clarify our priorities. We may become anxious or stressed over a situation or interaction involving a group of people, community, or network of people out there in the world.
Since Uranus represents the spiritual principle of freedom, creative thought, innovation, and progress, we are now asked to stretch and grow by taking a look at our individualistic spirit (and our connection to it), so ask yourself: What if all “change” was progress?
With Saturn involved in this T-Square, we are also invited to acknowledge any restrictions or limitations on our creative self-expression, and on our desire for fun and joy.
Ask yourself: If I was able to find creative solutions to my current frustrations, what might those be? What if patience and spaciousness were the key components that are missing? What if the solutions I seek already exist, and I simply needed to wait for the perfect moment to be able to access them?
The solution with all T-squares is to focus on the empty leg — in this case Scorpio — here we are invited to bring our innovative spirit to our intimate relationships and financial partnerships.
Ask yourself: How could I connect to people who appreciate my individualistic approach? What would it take to have spaciousness within my emotionally authentic and trusted connections? What might be possible if I embraced all of me — my light and my darkness?
Accepting each other’s differences is important right now, as we all have different values — and those values create our preferences and determine our comfort zone.
Ask yourself: How could I take differences in values less personally? Is it at least possible that I could honor my own differences without making others wrong for theirs? Could I “hold the space” for other people’s fears and comfort levels just a little more than I currently do?
Chiron in Aries makes a Trine to the New Moon. This creates a supportive environment for healing our insecurities. We can bring greater awareness to our feelings of shame around our wounded masculine energies (for example, not doing enough, not courageous enough, not producing enough, being over-assertive or too aggressive), and any self-deprecating thoughts or behaviors.
Something else that supports healing our insecurities is a sense that we are pursuing a worthy personal goal — this could be something as simple as wanting to follow our heart’s desire, or simply accepting our own human complexities while expressing ourselves creatively or otherwise.
Ask yourself: How open can I be to being courageously myself, with all my sensitivities and insecurities? How complex could I allow myself to be? How about everyone else out there in the world? Could I give others permission to be just as complex?
Lastly, I just want to mention Mars in Virgo, since it is squaring the current Moon Nodes in Gemini/Sagittarius. Squares mark important turning points, where we must make a perceptual shift in order to move forward — and this one is a turning point in our day-to-day activities. We are invited to balance gathering or processing information against going beyond what we have accumulated, to a higher perspective, one that elevates our understanding of our current situation.
Ask yourself: What might become possible for me if I got really clear about what works in my daily routine… and what doesn’t? Could I give myself permission to venture beyond my current daily routine? How might it serve me to adopt a positive attitude towards experimentation? What if I coupled that with simply staying curious?
How do my day-to-day activities contribute to the connection between my mind, body, feelings, and spirit? How do my actions keep me separate from others? From myself? My body? My heart?
And this is a great place for me to invite you also to check out my new Interview Series: “How to Deal with Uncertainty and Change”, where I discuss a holistic approach to life’s challenges with all kinds of wonderful practitioners and teachers.
You can get free access to this series, here on my website or on my Youtube channel. If you haven’t had a chance yet to watch any of the episodes, please check them out, and feel free to post your feedback or a comment — I always appreciate those!
With Mars squaring the current Moon Nodes, we may also feel a pull between introversion and extraversion, or simply between fast and slow; if you feel such a pull, ask yourself: Could I simply tune in for a moment and see if I need to take a break (or at least slow down a little)?
To sum it all up: This New Moon invites us to reconnect to what lights us up, to what we love, and to how we want to express that in the world. It also wants us to consider working within the framework of what is realistic at this time, staying grounded in reality, remaining conscious about what we can and cannot do.
For the next four weeks, I also invite you to pause occasionally and ask yourself these questions: What am I grateful for in my life? How could I express that gratitude? To whom? Could I express my joy directly and honestly? How could I go about engaging others in a joyful dialog that aligns with my inner truth?
If you’d like to explore this more, I recommend you watch my New Moon video for a fuller discussion on the subject 🙂
[/wcm_restrict]
Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 14-18 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, or Scorpio? Or do your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer? This New Moon may feel stronger to you…
And last, but definitely not least: the New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle; the best time for the intention-setting process is soon after the New Moon becomes exact, and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.
That means the best time to set intentions this month would be between 9:50am, Aug. 8th, and 9:50am on Aug. 10th. The only exception is the roughly 2.5 hours on Aug. 9th, between 8:23am and 10:56am — during that time, the Moon will be Void of Course, which (as noted above) is never a good time to set Intentions. As always, all times are in EDT — the New York timezone.
If you live outside the EDT timezone, and converting timezones isn’t your thing, I suggest joining my Facebook Fanpage and/or following me on Twitter. I will be posting reminders on both platforms on Aug. 8th, 9th, and 10th, to let you know when is the best time to set your intentions 😉

On July 9th at 9:17pm EDT, the New Moon becomes exact in 18 degrees of Cancer; this is the beginning of a new Moon cycle. Feel free to watch my New Moon video on the subject.
This New Moon has a lot of aspects to other planets in this New Moon chart, especially much slower moving ones — including Chiron, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. Whenever a faster moving body links up with slower, outer planets in close aspect, the collective desire for change increases. But first let’s talk about the Cancer archetype:
Cancer is the first water sign of the zodiac, as such, it relates to the development of the “emotional body” — so this Moon cycle will continue to amplify feelings, instincts and needs.
Our feeling nature has been denied and suppressed for millennia, but we have begun to embrace it more fully — feelings are an essential source of information about our true needs — they are a dashboard that tells us what is healthy for us. When we don’t heed the information, we become dependent on others for validation and direction, or get lost in addictions and distractions.
With this New Moon occurring in protective, introverted Cancer, we’ll surround ourselves with quality and safety; we can expect anything connected to home, family, real-estate, or childhood issues to be heightened in our awareness for the next four weeks.
In Cancer, this New Moon highlights the importance of listening to our feelings, focusing on Self-care, healing old wounds from the past, and releasing unhealthy patterns that keep us stuck in the past.
Cancer is all about supporting and protecting life, but many of us are conditioned to ignore our bodies and our environment — along with our inner life, feeling-bodies, and emotional/spiritual connection to other life forms.
This creates a disconnect not only from our true selves but also from the rest of the world. Many of us tend to put little value on emotional intelligence, but it’s very hard to have meaningful, authentic connections without it — and it begins with…

Many of us tend to put little value on emotional intelligence, but it’s very hard to have meaningful, authentic connections without it — and it begins with self-connection and self-awareness.
Ask yourself: What might I do differently if my feelings were just little children that wanted to be heard? What price might I be paying for denying or suppressing their little voices?
Could I simply allow myself to feel my feelings without needing to understand them? Without needing to know why I am feeling what I am feeling? Without launching into problem-solving? If nothing else, could I try this out as an experiment, just to see what might transpire?
And here’s a bonus question: What would the mother-archetype do?
The Cancer energy is also connected to family, home (this could be a physical or emotional “home”) — a shift with past issues around feeling “at home”, “safe” or “nurtured”– both internally and in the world.
Internally, this is about being more rooted in our physical-emotional bodies, and allowing ourselves to explore and celebrate the mother-archetype both within and without — this would be things archetypically “mother-related”, like giving and receiving nurturing, caring for ourselves in terms of our emotional and physical state, and so on.
Ask yourself: Am I rooted in fertile ground? Am I thriving? What else do I need to flourish and grow? What has changed for me in the past 3 years in that regard? How does Self-care show up in my life now vs. then?
Now, let’s talk about some of the aspects of this New Moon chart:
The New Moon in Cancer makes a square to Chiron, the Wounded Healer. This aspect asks us to stretch and grow — challenging us to mend the wounded masculine in ourselves.
Chiron is also quite exalted at the time of the New Moon — due to its Station phase, it is slowing down as it gets ready to start its yearly 5-month Retrograde phase, on July 15th. Chiron’s exalted energy makes this aspect more acute.
For more info about Chiron’s Station/Retrograde phase in Aries — and how it all relates to your own birth chart, watch my webinar on the subject. It’s only available until July 23rd, so get it now! ==> Click here for more info or to purchase.
So, let’s talk about this Square to Chiron: on the one hand, we want to connect to what’s familiar and stay in our comfort zones; on the other hand, we are asked to be courageous and heal issues connected to anger, violence, or our sexual identity.
As best as you can, take this as an opportunity to make space for feeling vulnerable or emotional without seeing yourself as weak or “less than”. It is perfectly ok to be yourself, and that may involve feeling insecure once in a while — so give compassion and love to yourself and others. After all, we are all human…
If we can allow the inner masculine (taking action, being assertive, etc.) to protect and co-create with the feminine (allowing for feelings to move through, receiving, etc.), we will go further than we can imagine.
Ask yourself: Where does the wounded masculine cry out for my compassionate awareness (or even my care)? What if I gave it also to those who have not been able to model the masculine energies in an “acceptable” way? What if I extended that even to myself, if and when I fall into that category? Even if I get triggered? What needs my compassion or even my love? What needs to heal?
Remember: Anger can be a reaction to a boundary violation, and/or a cover for another emotion — often fear, sadness, or shame.
What if I gave myself permission to make space both for healing around my self-identity (in other words, for recognizing the limitations around my persona), and for taking care of home or family issues?
The New Moon also sextiles Uranus in Taurus; this brings an opportunity to see things from a different perspective, or to put a new spin on our old thinking. We like to connect in unusual ways and group activities or brainstorming sessions with like-minded people could generate amazing insights.
This may also be a good time to find a unique or global approach to financial matters and thereby also reach a sense of emotional security.
Ask yourself: What can I see now that I wasn’t able to see, even just six weeks ago? How might connecting to others in unusual or new ways create a better future for all of us, and for this planet?
The New Moon also trines Neptune in Pisces. This supports our “flow states” and emotional connection to others; spiritual and creative endeavors are favored with this combo. Our capacity for compassion is quite strong as well, both toward ourselves and others, and we are feeling especially intuitive.
Ask yourself: When I tune into myself, to what do I feel connected? What if I tune into life itself? What from my past is asking to be released? Where is it time to open myself up fully on an emotional level?
What if the whole Universe was intelligent? What if that included every cell in my body? How might resting, trusting, and allowing benefit me, over the next four weeks?
And lastly the New Moon also opposes Pluto in Capricorn: we may take an all-or-nothing attitude toward others, this could drive some tension or oppositional behaviors, so as best you can, remain flexible and practice self-care — take good care of your emotional and physical body — that way, you’ll remain able to empower yourself and others.
As best as you can, trust what resonates, what rings true, what empowers and connects — rather than what agitates and polarizes.
Ask yourself: What is my motivation around achieving something out there in the world? How about at home? Where might the balance point be between home/family and career/long-term goals? How might a deep focus on self-care or emotional authenticity serve me at this time? What needs to transform so I can feel more empowered?
The powerful fixed T-Square that I mentioned in the last Full Moon video is still active in this New Moon chart; the only difference is that now Venus has joined Mars in Leo. Venus can act to soften Mars’ aggressiveness, or Mars can make Venus’ romantic impulses more forceful and pressing. We are more able to combine warmth with energy, and since this alignment is taking place in Leo, having fun is key.
The last time we experienced this alignment was in August 2015. Was there a new beginning back then, in regards to your feminine and masculine energies? What has shifted for you since then? What is the inner feminine/Goddess saying to you now?
The T-square between Uranus, Saturn, Mars and Venus challenges us to face long standing issues. Beware of impatience and jumping to conclusions. As best as you can, go for what’s best for all concerned.
Here are some coaching questions for the T-Square: In what ways am I currently growing? Maturing? How does this look in the collective experience?
What am I ready to innovate or change about my body? My values? My self-value? What if patience and spaciousness were the key components that are missing?
Where do I need to follow my own individualistic values? What would it look like if I gave myself and others the space we all deserve and need at this time?
What role does freedom play in my intimate relationships? Could I hold the space for other people’s fears and comfort levels?
To sum it all up: this New Moon reminds us that to be a “successful human being” we must take really good care of our emotional and physical well-being.
For the next four weeks, sort out your life, sift out goals or plans that feel disempowering or inauthentic, and become more truthful with yourself. Go deep with this, as being superficial at this time won’t work; ask yourself: Would I rather feel safe or empowered? Might I feel at least a little more empowered when focusing on what I truly, actually have control over? How about focusing on what feels authentically in alignment with myself?
Note that others are dealing with this as well — if you encounter disempowerment, fear or resistance in your various relationships, remember that they too are dealing with a multitude of energies at this time. Go deeper in your understanding with them rather than on the defensive!
As best as you can, empower yourself and others, be authentic, kind and compassionate. The world actually needs people that know how to nurture themselves, people who honor their feeling-body, people with a healthy center who follow their inner compass! Now more than ever!
Also feel free to watch my New Moon video on the subject.

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 16-20 degrees of Cancer, Capricorn, Aries, or Libra? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle. Intentions are best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact — and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.
So this month, the best and most potent time to set intentions would be any time between 9:17pm (July 9th) and 12:10pm EDT, on July 10th; and then again from 8:21pm (July 10th) until 9:17pm EDT on July 11th.

On June 10th at 6:53am EDT, the New Moon (and Solar Eclipse) becomes exact in almost 20 degrees of Gemini. Solar Eclipses are extra-powerful New Moons that take place approximately every 6 months — this is the first in 2021 — you may also want to watch my Solar Eclipse video.
During a Solar Eclipse, the Moon momentarily interrupts the normal flow of Solar Radiation, destabilizing existing configurations of energy and reorganizing consciousness to a higher level. Solar Eclipses indicate the beginning of a new experience, project, or cycle.
Eclipses usually come in pairs (Solar and Lunar), and “Eclipse seasons” start approximately 10 days before the first Eclipse of the pair, and continue through the second.
This particular Eclipse season began on May 16th, 10 days before the Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius became exact, and will end with the Full Moon on June 24th, 2021 — in other words, two weeks after the Solar Eclipse in Gemini becomes exact.
While Eclipse season is underway, allow for new templates to download; stay centered and do your best to ground from within — try using conscious breathing and conscious flexibility — and best of all, see if you can move to the “observer position” when it comes to the emotional and mental body. And remember, this won’t last forever: on June 24th, the downloads are complete 😉
Eclipses are a time for clarifying and affirming our highest path. We are bound to experience a release and recalibration of some sort — “old” codes will get deleted and new ones downloaded — and this is especially true in connection with our ability to connect and communicate, our inner dialog, our ability to listen, and our gathering and use of information. This helps us to be more aware of how we interact and what we share.
The Sun and Moon are connected to one of the Moon Nodes during an Eclipse, alternating between North and South Node Eclipses, emphasizing the evolutionary upgrades that are available to us during such times. This is the first North Node Solar Eclipse in Gemini since the Moon Nodes moved into the Gemini-Sagittarius polarity in early May of last year (2020).
North Node Eclipses help us move towards a new exploration of an energy that promotes our Soul’s evolution. They ask us to focus on the energies of the sign involved in the Eclipse (Gemini, in this case) and work with the lighter/higher frequencies of those energies as much as possible. They highlight our ability for individual and collective growth and evolution.
Eclipses are crossroads or turning points along our Soul’s Journey. They are often marked by events or situations that signify a critical shift in our lives, nudging us to either change and grow, or face greater difficulties at the next turning point. In this case, the next turning point will be on September 12th, when the Sun is in Virgo squares this month’s Solar Eclipse degree.
Solar Eclipses, in particular, often correspond to major endings and beginnings. They occur close to the same degree every 19 years, and the last time we had a North Node Solar Eclipse in that same degree and sign was on June 10th, 2002.
We are likely to experience a resonance between now and that time — “resonance”, not repetition — so think back to the Summer of 2002, and ask yourself: Were there any major endings and beginnings? What was important to me back then? If I were to take those priorities to the next level, where would that next level find me?
If you’re looking for more guidance on those questions, I would suggest taking a look at your Natal Chart — the House placement of the Eclipse will indicate which area of life is most ready to embrace new information and rise to a new level of consciousness.
Solar Eclipses are also a good time to go within and seed anything we would like to learn over the next 6 months — we’ll dig into this in more detail towards the end of this article, when we talk about setting Solar Eclipse Intentions.
One major thing to note in this New Moon/Solar Eclipse chart, is that we now have 3 planets in Retrograde motion — and one of them is the ruler of Gemini: Mercury!

A Retrograde gives us a chance to resolve things that have been keeping us from achieving full alignment with the outer world. We are invited to go within and trust our intuition when it comes to processing and sharing information, and as best as we can, to take our time with communications, so that we don’t miss anything crucial.
With the Solar Eclipse in curious, quick-witted Gemini, we also look for connections and information in our day-to-day lives that can help move us forward; being mentally stimulated is important to us.
For the next 6 months, we are asked to connect with others, and to share our little hearts out with them. Gemini is the archetype of curiosity, communication in all its forms, and mental connections — it represents the development of language and intelligence, as well as our ability to adapt and relate to our immediate environment.
This is a “busy” energy focused on collecting information. We are invited to look at our mental programming and conditioned mind, to see what needs to go, and what new thought structures we might want to engage with.
Gemini is asking us to stay in motion, to think about all that we’ll need to know in order to move forward, and to connect and share ourselves with others. Here are some questions you can ask yourself for this Solar Eclipse: What motivates me to learn? When I talk to myself about sharing or processing information, what do I typically say? What do I say to myself about being connected to others? About my intellectual capacities? About my adaptability?
The spiritual goal of Gemini is the development of perception, thought, and communication; we are therefore invited to become aware of all the new connections created in the brain with each new thought or memory — and the more we think a particular thought, the deeper those pathways become.
So, ask yourself: What mental paths do I keep heading down, even though I know I no longer need to follow where they lead me? What might I hear if I brought 5% more curiosity to my “self-listening”? What if I did the same when listening to others?
We also talked about the current Eclipses (and about Jupiter in Pisces) in more detail in my last Forecasting Forum. If you want to know how these powerful Lunations are impacting you personally, I recommend you watch the mp4-video presentation of this webinar — for more info, click here.
Let’s take a look at the three Retrograde planets (and some of the aspects) — of this Eclipse chart:
Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, is retrograde in its own sign from May 29th – June 22nd. This invites us to go within and connect with information that is in alignment with our inner understanding of things.
Ask yourself: How can I better connect my “inner” thinking with my “outer” exchanges? What thoughts need reorganizing? Who is (or has been) in alignment with my thinking? What might come of my reaching out to those people?
Mental and conceptual abilities are strong until June 22nd. We may feel particularly curious and engaged in learning and absorbing information. Do your best to process information that is not necessarily brand-new, but is something you have heard or read before (especially over the last three months), that might deserve another look or going-over.
As best as you can, bring curiosity and neutral processing to the data that you are receiving or re-organizing in your mind — avoid hastily adding a story to the data, or classifying it as “good” or “bad” information.
Ask yourself: What if information were always neutral? How might I interact with it then?
What if my thoughts were like a radio station that others could tune into at any time? What would I choose to broadcast? What if I consciously chose to transmit thoughts that promote learning and connecting? What if I sent out that transmission for just 5 minutes each day?
Mercury closely aligns with the Eclipse, putting even greater emphasis on our capacity to think for ourselves, and to allow this to be a very personal and intuitive process. It’s helpful to trust ourselves to connect with the information we need (and to think things through) before making important decisions or connecting with others.
The Mercury Retrograde component in this Eclipse chart also nudges us to take another look at data or information we received in the past, to make sure it is both accurate and useful.
Ask yourself: Is there anything that feels “off”, not quite a “fit”, with my inner sensing of things? What data or information from the past 3 months calls out for further contemplation and curiosity?
Mercury also still squares Neptune in Pisces in this Solar Eclipse chart. And because Mercury also aligns very closely with the Moon, the Sun, and the North Node (as elements of the Solar Eclipse), this challenging aspect promises to have a big impact on us for the next 6 months.
We discussed this Square in our last Lunar Eclipse video, and there is also an Additional Support Video on the subject; the latter is available to the public, not just to Members. In addition to those videos, Members may also want to read my recent Lunar Eclipse article, or the Weekly Forecast for May 17-23rd (Saturday’s entry) on this subject.
Here are some coaching questions you can ask yourself that bring all this home: Before moving forward with a communication or decision could I tune in and get really clear about my energy body and what is needed in this current moment? What if I granted 5% more trust to my inner guidance? What might I hear if I listened 5% more closely to the subtle messages of my divine nature?
We also tend to feel scattered at this time. Should you observe that in yourself, try asking: What might happen if I slowed down and listened to my intuition instead of letting my mind run?
Saturn is another of the three Retrograde planets in this Eclipse chart. Saturn represents our earthly structures and long-term commitments. It also shows us what works in our current physical reality (and what doesn’t), where we need to have better boundaries, and where we need to be more realistic about our limitations. For each of those three things in turn, ask yourself: What is demanding my attention in this area?
Saturn’s Retrograde phase in Aquarius invites us to not only take a closer look at our current long-term commitments and limitations, but to start restructuring anything that has slipped out of alignment with who we are in our current reality.
Ask yourself: What is realistic when it comes to my various networks and communities (online and local)? Where do I feel in alignment with what I see and have? What limitations are becoming more apparent socially or in my communities? Where do I need to make some adjustments? What needs to be restructured?
Mercury in Gemini and Saturn in Aquarius connect harmoniously in this Eclipse chart, giving us the opportunity to connect with others and discuss what needs to be adjusted without blame or shame, but simply by looking at what works and what doesn’t.
Ask yourself: What mental processes would benefit from a mature attitude on my part? What information or thought structures help me stay on track to a better future for humanity?
Of course, Saturn is still in a Square aspect to Uranus, as it has been since January and will be until July 18th. Squares are 90º aspects that mark a turn we must take if we are to make progress.
Ask yourself: What does my body require before I can even think about connecting with others? What adjustment does my physical reality require before I can even think about what to create for the future? Where am I feeling “boxed in”? Where do I need to “think outside the box”?
Are other people’s choices and preferences really about me? In other words, do I need to take them personally? Would putting 5% more space around other people’s “choosing” help me honor what’s important to me?
The third Retrograde planet in this Eclipse chart is Pluto, a planet associated with our Soul Purpose, process of empowerment, and ability to feel empowered from within, particularly around our deepest passions.
Pluto’s Retrograde phase in Capricorn invites us to take a closer look at our current level of empowerment around long-term goals and social authority structures such as government. It prompts us to start digging deeper into our unconscious, to find what really motivates us, to get down to what truly feels empowering.
Ask yourself: If fear, pain, suffering, or discord arose predictably from focusing on certain things, what might those things be? What (or who) do I still listen to or read that keeps fear and discord alive in me? Is it at least possible that simple familiarity explains most of my engagement with those outlets or people? What might come up if I suddenly became 5% more aware of those behaviors and their motivations?
What if I simply disengaged from anything that promotes fear? How might it feel to send light and blessings to those who are still operating on that level? Could I send light and blessings even to myself, should I find myself caught on that same level?
Pluto opposes Mars in 29º of Cancer (an exalted degree) in this Eclipse chart. We might not feel like dealing with some of the deeper issues that keep springing up, perhaps around our accomplishments in the world, or around family and home.
Ask yourself: What is my motivation to achieve something out there in the world? How about at home? Where does the balance point lie between home/family and career/long-term goals?
How might a deeper focus on self-care serve me at this time? What about bringing the same depth of focus to emotional authenticity? What needs to transform if I am to feel more empowered? What deeper connections are waiting to be forged? What is now ready to be released?
Lastly, Chiron (the Wounded Healer) makes an opportune aspect to the North Nodes in this Eclipse chart, showing very clearly that we need to bring love and compassion to ourselves and the healing process that we all find ourselves in, around the masculine energies.
Ask yourself: Where does the “traditional masculine” differ from the “divine masculine”? Could I allow myself and others to be human? What if I talked about my flaws, idiosyncrasies, and insecurities? Might this support my own healing process? Someone else’s? How?

To sum it all up for this powerful New Moon/Solar Eclipse: When we tap into the lighter vibration of Gemini, we have the ability to adapt to new circumstances with ease. Through curiosity and exposure to a wide variety of ideas, people, and experiences, we learn that there are many angles and many ways of looking at things.
We seek balance on many levels, internally and externally, so as best as you can, remain curious, open-minded and adaptable for the next 6 months. Trust yourself. Your heart knows the way, so allow the mind to become a neutral observer, as much as possible.
Ask yourself: Am I just my mind, or am I more than that? If I’m more than just my mind, what is beyond the mind? What might I discover if I stayed open to being inspired by life, rather than zeroing in on all the “bad” news and denser vibrational thoughts that come through?
Through observation and assimilation, we can ultimately integrate light and shadow, mind and emotion, spirit and matter. Ask yourself: Might a 10-minute meditation, mantra, or prayer practice help me become more aware of what arises in consciousness on an ongoing basis, and of my relationship to my own thoughts?
How might laughter, singing, or humming support my body-mind-heart connection? What about yoga, acupuncture, cranial-sacral therapy? What role could those play in having a healthy body-mind relationship?
One last word about Eclipses: They signal major endings and beginnings. As best you can, trust that whatever is leaving is making space for something better — the more willing we are to change, the easier it will be.
That said, don’t automatically drop projects and interactions that got underway prior to Eclipse season (i.e. before May 16th) — don’t stop your life just because it is Eclipse season 😉

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 15-25 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo or Pisces? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly; this is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo, the Moon rules Cancer)
We are downloading new templates at the time of an Eclipse, and the energies are quite intense, so we want to wait until it all settles down a little before setting our intentions — that said, we definitely do not want to do this during a Moon void of course.
There are thus two best and most potent times to set your Intentions for this Solar Eclipse:
The first lasts a little over 24 hours, between 6:53am, on June 12th, and 7:16am, on June 13th. The second one runs for 15.5 hours, between 2:22pm, onJune 13th, and 6:53am on Monday, June 14th. Note that all times in this article are given in US Eastern Time — i.e., the New York time zone.
If you live in a timezone other than EDT, and converting time zones isn’t your thing, I suggest joining my Facebook Fan-page and/or following me on Twitter, as I post reminders on those platforms when it’s time to set your intentions 😉
Set powerful intentions — remember, they cover the next six months — and if possible, align them with the Gemini energy!

On May 11th, at 3pm EDT, the New Moon becomes exact in 21 degrees of Taurus. This marks the beginning of a new Moon cycle. Click here to watch my video on the subject.
As best as you can, get really quiet 24 hours before and after the New Moon becomes exact, and see if you are getting any new messages or ideas. If you are, harvest them, and fold them into any intentions you set for the new Moon cycle — I will talk about this process later in the forecast, and I’ll even give you the very best and most potent times for doing so 🙂
This New Moon sextiles Neptune in Pisces and trines an exalted Pluto in Capricorn. Saturn & Jupiter in Aquarius are also exalted at the time of this New Moon (for different reasons) and we have many more aspects to talk about, all connected either to Mercury in Gemini, or Mars in Cancer.
So, as you can see, lots going on in this New Moon chart, all painting a complex picture with a focus on like-minded people, community, and long-term goals. There is also an opportunity for healing and connecting to our inner sense of knowing.
Before we go into all of these aspects in more detail, however, let’s first talk about the sign of Taurus:
This New Moon in steady, peaceful Taurus places more focus on our interactions with the physical world — you could say that we seek a healthier relationship with “matter”, one in which we are neither too attached, nor too disconnected from things on the physical plane — for example, our bodies, resources (such as money), and the planet we co-inhabit.
We are powerfully reminded to take the time to honor the only planet we can currently live on — The Earth — and honor its resources and beauty.
In much the same spirit, we are invited also to honor ourselves, our bodies, and our talents. This is a good time for reevaluating our relationship to money and possessions, and for discovering what truly makes us happy and fulfilled, so check in with yourself: What came to mind when you read this?
Let’s talk about some of the aspects in this New Moon chart:

The New Moon in Taurus sextiles Neptune in Pisces: Taurus ultimately seeks to honor spirit in form, recognizing the physical world as an expression of the divine, and the body as a sacred vehicle. Pisces understands the paradox between physical and spiritual — between matter and energy. This is therefore an opportunity to join our need for material comfort and enjoyment of life to a gentler and more intuitive approach.
Ask yourself: How might meditation or mindfulness — simply being present in the now-moment to all the energies inside and around me — support my enjoyment of life? What might merging my five senses with my sixth sense bring to awareness? What small step could I take toward this? What if there were a huge leap I could make? What might that be?
Something to contemplate or journal on: If everything is interconnected on an energetic level and everything is energy — even the densest of masses — might it make sense to be really conscious and aware of how I treat everyone and everything around me (including myself)? Might it make sense that my thoughts and behaviors have a direct impact on the whole energy field that we all co-inhabit? Could it potentially have a direct impact on me if I were to disregard this inter-connectivity?
The New Moon also trines an exalted Pluto in Capricorn. Pluto is still exalted until May 12th, even though it already started its yearly Retrograde phase back on April 27th; this exalted energy is prompting us to seek ways to step into our own power and be more alive from within.
The Trine promotes a realistic and emotionally authentic long-term approach. We have the chance to better align our long-term goals with our values; it’s likewise easier for us to sustain what we have started, and to bring a heightened sense of empowerment to it all. This could be connected with our careers or long-term goals, or with the broader economy, “authority figures”, and governmental structures.
Ask yourself: If I was to be completely and utterly honest, what is it that I truly want for myself long-term? What do I want long-term for society? What really matters? What truly fulfills me? Coming from my truth, where do I desire impassioned connection? What simple, even modest step could I take today, that would set me on the path to that goal?
An exalted Pluto always bringing extra intensity to the table. Pluto shows us where we give our power away to others and where we abuse it ourselves, so ask yourself: What career or business structures in my life no longer empower me? What am I most aware of right now? If I’m honest, what will almost inevitably break down over the long haul, simply because it is no longer sustainable?
Where have I felt disempowered? Like I’m wasting time? Energy? Resources? Where have I tried to control something beyond my personal control? How might a realistic focus on myself, and what I do have influence over, support my efforts towards an empowered experience out there in the world?
Saturn & Jupiter in Aquarius are also exalted at the time of this New Moon (again, for different reasons):
Saturn starts to slow down a day before the New Moon becomes exact, getting ready for its yearly Retrograde phase (that begins May 23rd). Saturn will be exalted until June 4th!
Saturn in Aquarius asks us to take responsibility for our part in the collective, turn a critical eye on everything we envision for our future, and adopt an objective, scientific approach.
Which “cooperations” do I want to support? Which do I want to disconnect or part myself from?
Saturn is still in a strong Square to Uranus until July 18th. Until then, we will be dealing with some uncomfortable interactions with others, and with uncertainty on a personal and collective level. Giving ourselves space (and giving lots of space to others) is essential.
Ask yourself: What do I value differently from others? How could these differences spark a creative process? How might they bring diversity and innovation to our collective interactions? Where do I need to be more flexible? What is the thinking box I need to think outside of?
Most of us want peace and abundance for ourselves and others, a world in which we can all appreciate and enjoy life with minimal interruption, and with the certainty that we are physically taken care of: What if my taking the time to focus on building a future that realistically supports all (or most) human beings, could actually bring all that about for everyone… myself included?
Jupiter is in the last degree (29º) of Aquarius at the time of the New Moon, which also makes it exalted. A planet in the last degree of a sign feels “louder”, as it is trying to express as much as it can of the current sign, before moving into the next — sort of a “last hurrah” before moving on. This would indicate a strong urge to complete something, most likely something that started when Jupiter moved into Aquarius in December, 2020.
There is an impatience in the air around connecting with our people, our tribe, and around moving forward — or at least towards a future that sees the possibility of equality and diversity.
Ask yourself: What possibilities did I see for myself and “my people” since December 19th of last year? What expectations did I have in connection with communities and networks of like-minded people? What am I realizing now? What are my expectations or attitudes towards the future?
Only 2 days after the New Moon becomes exact, Jupiter will start its first pass through Pisces, where it will journey until July 28th. Jupiter feels quite comfortable in Pisces, so we are likely to experience this transit with more ease, and an expansion of our heart-energies is quite likely.
We will talk more about this transit and also the upcoming Eclipses in my next Forecasting Forum on May 28th. Feel free to join us live or register to get the mp4-video presentation of the live event. Early Bird Special is available until May 25th at midnight EDT.
I will also be writing an article about Jupiter in Pisces — this will be available via the Membership Portal by May 8th.
Venus, the ruler of Taurus, is in an early degree of Gemini at the time of the New Moon. This has us seeking out mental stimulation: sharing, teaching, learning, writing, reading, etc. We want to connect, learn, and share as much as possible — note that Gemini is also connected to the media. Be conscious of what information you listen to and why!
Ask yourself: I am I listening to this information because it resonates with me? Or because “people” are listening to it?
Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, is in its own sign and conjuncts the North Node in Gemini. The North Node represents our collective Soul’s Journey at this time. In Gemini, we are asked to make an effort when connecting with others, staying open-minded, curious, sharing our perspectives, and listening to understand someone else’s.
Ask yourself: What if I deliberately communicated with 5% more clarity? With my mind 5% more open? Might listening 5% more attentively help to create better exchanges?
Mercury also trines Saturn in Aquarius and sextiles Chiron in Aries. Mercury’s Trine to Saturn allows for solid and realistic ideas and concepts to flow, be shared, and contemplated. This is especially true of those that serve our various local and online communities. Commitments made right now with like-minded people might well develop into something lasting.
Ask yourself: What might I share with my tribe if I wanted to manifest something lasting? What might “responsible sharing” look like? What could I teach or learn that might make a long-term impact for me and my communities?
This also shows us that collaboration, tolerance, and equality can be achieved in our communities if we stay open-minded and bring a good dose of curiosity and maturity to our interactions.
Ask yourself: What questions could I ask of myself or others, to support a realistic commitment from me toward my various communities? What questions could I respectfully pose to a group of people with whom I disagree?
Mercury’s sextile to Chiron gives us the opportunity to connect with others, socialize, and take a compassionate approach toward ourselves and others, especially when it comes to our personal goals and passions.
Ask yourself: what if taking a compassionate approach towards myself and others actually made for more fulfilling connections? Could I allow myself and others to be human? What if I talked about my flaws, idiosyncrasies, and insecurities? How might this support my own healing process? Someone else’s?
Let’s also talk about Mars! Mars is the ruler of Aries, and is currently in Cancer. Mars is part of a Yod in this New Moon chart that is directing our awareness and attention to Self-care and any actions we take related to family or home and real-estate issues.
Ask yourself: What is required of me, so that I can connect on an emotional level to others? To myself? How can I express my emotional fire in a healthy way? Might taking things 5% less personally be part of that?
Mars also Squares Chiron in Aries and sextiles Uranus in Taurus. Mars’ Square to Chiron asks us to stretch and grow around our ability to act from a vulnerable place. We are energized to move past feelings of shame, should we choose to express our desires, our anger, and even any contempt or disgust we are experiencing.
Ask yourself: What might a courageous heart do when it felt insecure or triggered? What might a good dose of love and compassion bring to the table? How might I access a dash of those ingredients when I need them most?
Mars’ Sextile to Uranus gives us an opportunity to put a new spin on our “old” use of the masculine energies and learn to see the past in a new light. We also have an opportunity to draw on our protective side when connecting to the physical realm.
Ask yourself: If I truly wanted to protect the planet and its resources, how would I go about that? Might connecting to others in unusual or brand-new ways create a better future for all of us on this planet? Is it at least possible that I could go after what I want while still keeping other people’s and the planets best interests in mind? What might that look like? Who most needs my support right now?
To sum it all up for this New Moon: it is in our best and highest interest to honor the Earth, the planet we live on, and our physical experience as we move through this human life. Most of our personal health turns on planetary health — the quality of our air, water, soil, and many other ecological factors.
The New Moon in Taurus also reminds us that happiness is ultimately an inner state — we must each honor our own values and find appreciation and inner fulfillment wherever we can. The more we can honor ourselves, our talents, and our relationship to the physical realm, the more we can connect to the love and abundance that surrounds us in every moment.
Ask yourself: What would I need to add or subtract from my life to better experience it as peace, abundance, and radiant love? Might adding a daily dash of love, grace, and gratitude add to my joy on this physical journey? How might I become 5% more resourceful? How might an open-minded and -hearted conversation support me when things feel rough?

Do you have your Ascendant or any personal planets in 19-23 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle. This is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact — and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.
This month, the best and most potent time to set intentions would therefore be between 3pm on May 11th and 3pm on May 13th. The only exception would be a 20-minute period in the morning of May 12th — there will be a brief Moon VoC between 8:23am and 8:43am. All of the above times are given in US East Coast-time.

On April 11th, at 10:31pm EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 22.5 degrees of Aries. This marks the beginning of a new Moon cycle; anything brand-new started in the next two weeks has the chance to get off to a great start. Click here to watch my New Moon video on the subject.
This New Moon chart has 4 out of 10 planets in Aries, as well as 2 asteroids. This Stellium in Aries consists of Chiron, Mercury, Ceres, the Moon, the Sun, and Venus. This asks us to show courage from our heart, to be unafraid to embrace who we are, and inspire others by forging our own path.
Ask yourself: Where am I being called to take a risk and try something new? What feeds my passions? What is the next step toward becoming an increasingly healthy, strong, curious, and flexible person? One who is not afraid to pursue personal goals and desires? One who speaks up for what needs healing in our society around the traditional masculine?
One of the many ways we can demonstrate courage is to allow ourselves to be in the condition of “not knowing” or “beginner’s mind”; at these times, we are more present, and creative potential is heightened. Ask yourself: Where could I bring a “beginner’s mind” to bear? Where do I need to let go of needing to know everything before I begin?
About this Stellium: let’s start with the close alignment between the New Moon and Venus in Aries.
We are invited to actively connect with others and do something enjoyable. Ask yourself: What if I got in touch with my passion for life, just for these next 28 days? What if I could inspire others just by being myself?
The New Moon/Venus alignment in Aries squares Pluto in Capricorn, emphasizing that we are at a turning point…

The New Moon/Venus alignment in Aries squares Pluto in Capricorn, emphasizing that we are at a turning point — squares pressure us to face our current reality. If everything is working well, we are ready to take a big step forward; if not, we need to change course.
While we cannot always change our outer circumstances, we can always choose how we respond — i.e. what choices we make within those outer circumstances. This aspect in particular urges us to use the next 28 days to empower ourselves and others.
Ask yourself: What could I consciously choose that would align with my heart-energies and passion for life?
What do I observe when I come from fear? How about when I guard or defend my physical, emotional, or mental well-being? Could I give myself permission to open my courageous heart 5% more when I notice any rigidity or tension in my body? How about when I reject someone else’s preferences? Words? Behaviors? What if I could simply pause in that moment? Give myself some space? How might flexibility and an open heart play an important role in that moment?
If I felt fully empowered from within, and absolutely passionate about life, what would I build? What would be truly meaningful to my Soul and to the collective in the long run?
During this time of change, self-care is definitely worth our attention… Make sure you get plenty of rest, affection, water, and healthy nutritious foods 😉
Pluto in Capricorn starts to slow down (station) only 48 hours after the New Moon becomes exact. During its Station phase, Pluto’s energy becomes exalted, and confronts us with whatever still leaves us feeling disempowered around our worldly accomplishments.
This Station phase will last until May 12th; until then, we are asked to hang out with any discomfort this might cause, and observe what comes up. “Awareness” is always the first step towards experiencing a shift of any kind.
Ask yourself: Where do I still experience disempowerment? What do I notice about my reaction to that? Is it at least possible that fears that stem from the past are not here right now? What about fears stemming from the possible futures I imagine? What if I knew for certain that I was going to be ok, no matter the outcome? What needs my conscious awareness? What needs my light?
We will also address the Pluto Station/Retrograde phase in more detail — in relationship with our own birth charts — in our next Forecasting Forum on April 23rd. If you are not yet a Star Member of my online community, feel free to join us by registering for this month only… to do so, click here!
There is also an EARLY BIRD SPECIAL that will be available until April 20th!
The New Moon/Venus alignment also sextiles Jupiter in Aquarius, making this an opportunity for expansive new beginnings that involve our communities or networks so ask yourself: What am I most aware of at this time? What if I took an optimistic approach to the role I play in my various communities? What mental or spiritual growth might be waiting for me? What would “courage” do?
Also part of the Stellium in Aries is the close Chiron/Mercury alignment. This presents an opportunity to share our individual approach toward gentler leadership, and inspire others to engage in a healing process around the masculine “yang” energy — to do some healing around physical, sexual, and spiritual wounds, allowing ourselves to be human while on our path to wholeness and a larger, more purposeful life.
Ask yourself: In what ways could I be more conscious of my own personal healing journey? Could I give myself permission to be fully human? To be insecure? Sensitive? Vulnerable? How could a shift in perspective around leadership serve me at this time? What gifts might a “sensitive leader” or an “unusual hero” be able to bring to us all at this time?
There is no shame in being different, insecure, or sensitive. Who says we can’t be assertive and kind — not just with the people we love, but publicly as well? What if the term “sensitive leader” meant “strong leader”? What if only an “unusual hero” could bear unusual gifts?
What role does anger or domination play in the traditional masculine? How do I experience those traits within me? Outside of me? And when? What if, as an experiment in freedom, I let go of my resistance towards them? Even in their “unhealthy” expressions? If that’s a challenging idea, could I give it a try for a single brief moment, right now?
Mars is the ruler of Aries; it’s currently in Gemini sextiling the New Moon, trining Jupiter in Aquarius, and squaring Neptune in Pisces. Let’s unpack that:
The Sextile to the New Moon presents an opportunity to connect with others and share our individual approach, or teach something that we feel passionate about; ask yourself:
Who might need the information I can provide? Who might provide me with the information I need? What needs to be shared or communicated so I can move forward faster?
Mars’ Trine to Jupiter in Aquarius gives us a chance to connect with like-minded people, expand each other’s minds, and share information that allows us to see the bigger picture. Our positive attitude helps us to take risks that get us unstuck, and we have the vigor to blast through challenges, so ask yourself: What could I tackle right now that seemed impossible before?
Mars’ Square to Neptune in Pisces asks us to make some adjustments and do a little stretching and growing around our inner and/or emotional experiences. We tend to either over- or underestimate our own passion and abilities. We look for some vision, ideal, or dream to motivate us or stir our imagination. As best as you can, be gentle with yourself and others, seek to understand before seeking to be understood.
We also tend to feel scattered at this time. Should you observe that in yourself, try asking: What might happen if I slowed down and listened to my intuition instead of aimlessly zooming ahead?
Another thing worth mentioning: Mercury in Aries makes a mutual reception to Mars in Gemini — in other words, these planets are in each other’s signs at the time of the New Moon and therefore “mutually” supporting each other’s agenda. This gives us the opportunity to connect thought and action — we seek out mental stimulation from sharing, teaching, learning, writing, etc. — and want to immediately and courageously share the output.
Allow yourself to be passionate and enthusiastic about any new information you find yourself processing. Rather than rushing into things, stay open to learning, remain curious, and remember that every teacher is also a student and vice versa.
Ask yourself: What if I listened to myself 5% more? What if I had 5% more faith that I’d be heard? What might I discover about my thinking processes and what I am enthusiastic about? What actions can I take based on what I am currently learning?
To sum it all up: Chiron teaches us that there is no separation between the physical and spiritual realm, nor between humanity and the rest of creation; healing happens when we are able to (re)connect to all of who we are, to our humanity, our divinity, and our unity with all life. Ask yourself: Where lies the most direct path towards wholeness? How might directing kindness and compassion towards myself support me on that path?
The highest expression of the Aries energy is expressed when we lead others by example and inspiration — they follow because they see our courage, our enthusiasm for life, and want to be a part of that.
Ask yourself: What might open up if, once a day for the next 28 days, I tuned into myself and simply listened to the higher vibrations of my being? What if dared to lead from the heart exactly as I am? What if I were the one who inspired others? Taught compassion? Connection to the divine? If that were true, what single, simple action step would I take right now in support of my own or someone’s healing process?
As best as you can, be patient and brave — listen to your inner voice and bring your unique, passionate, human Self to the world. Remember that each of us makes this journey in our own way, and in our own time, so focus on yourself — your path, your truth — rather than on what lies beyond your control.

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 20-25 degrees of either Aries, Libra, Capricorn or Cancer? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
The New Moon is also the best time to set some intentions for this month’s Moon cycle — this process is especially powerful with the New Moon in Aries — and as always, this is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact (and definitely not during a Moon void of course)
So this month, we have two opportune times frames for setting intentions. The first one lasts 9.5 hours, between 10:31pm on April 11th and 8:06am on April 12th; and the second one lasts 33 hours from 1:44pm on April 12th until 10:31pm on April 13th (as always, all times are EDT). On March 13th, at 5:21am EST, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 23 degrees of Pisces, marking the beginning of a new Moon cycle.
Feel free to also watch my New Moon video on the subject.
New Moons mark the ending and beginning of a monthly cycle, and are therefore an optimal time to pause, reflect, and set new Intentions for the next 28 days.
This New Moon chart also has four planets in Pisces — including Venus. Due to Uranus’s transit through Taurus, Venus (as that sign’s depositor) has a lot to say about how we can more fully embrace our own unique value.
Venus in Pisces invites us to focus on our inner divinity, our ability to receive, our connection to intuition, and our desire to contribute to life from a heart-centered and grounded place.
Our emotional and physical bodies are giving us the information we need to better connect to ourselves and what we want to contribute out there in the world; if we listen carefully, we will also understand much better the best pace for accomplishing things without overwhelming ourselves.
Neptune is the modern ruler of Pisces, Jupiter is the traditional ruler of Pisces, and Saturn is the traditional ruler of Aquarius, so these three planets play an important role in this New Moon chart. We will talk a little bit about them in a moment, but first let’s talk about Pisces, to see what this New Moon is all about:
Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac. It connects us to our spiritual journey, as it represents a reunion with Source/God/the Universe. At its highest vibration, Pisces…

At its highest vibration, Pisces unifies all dualities — it is completely aware of the oneness of all. It tells us there is a union within, that exists always, and we can tap into it.
Ask yourself: Am I (In other words, do I exist)? Could I let that be enough, just for right now? Keep repeating these questions until you feel completely relaxed and at peace.
Now, close your eyes, and ask yourself: Am I my body or am I more than that? Am I the sounds that I can hear inside and outside my head, or am I more than that? Am I the sensations that I feel and receive, or am I more than that? And, if I am more than those things, where do I begin? Where do I end?
Pisces is accepting and aware of its eternal nature. It lovingly allows all, because it knows that there is no real separation between things, that separation only exists in the mind.
This New Moon squares the degree of December’s Solar Eclipse, signaling a potential turning point in our collective perceptions, expectations, and assumptions.
Ask yourself: What am I aware of right now that would shift my perspective if I allowed myself to “feel into it”? What (or who) might bring about this shift? What might I see if I were looking at the bigger picture?
This New Moon aligns with Neptune and Venus in Pisces. This is a call to extend compassion, acceptance, or forgiveness to ourselves and others.
As best as you can, allow for the flow of all feelings, allow your heart to soften — open to the beauty in that connectedness to “all there is”.
Ask yourself: If I were to be totally honest with myself, what would I notice is draining, rather than inspiring me? Where do I seem to have a hard time discerning fact from fiction? Could I be open to receiving guidance directly from my higher Self, my Soul-Self? If my feelings had words and could speak, what would they say? What might my dreams say to me? What message might my intuition have for me?
Is it at least possible that plenty of sleep, rest, or “going within” might serve my connection to the divine (aka “source”)? What else could show me my own divine nature?
Nature is a wonderful teacher for this — if you start to feel overwhelmed by what you are feeling or experiencing, connect with nature.
Spiritual practice is also wonderful here, of course (meditation, breathing exercises, mindfulness exercises, etc.); the same is true of spiritual/energetic healing modalities like Reiki, “Access Consciousness Bars”, shiatsu, acupuncture, etc. These can all help us tap into the higher vibrations of Pisces (and the Neptune-energy as well), as can the creative flow of dance, singing, music, sound, etc. — and of course, positive emotions such as love, gratitude, and compassion.
What else can help us experience our connection to “the all”? Feel free to share about a spiritual practice that works for you and that you love in the comments section…
Ask yourself: What might cause my heart to expand 5% more than usual? What is already in my current environment that opens my heart? What might change for me if I knew for certain that everything is proceeding according to plan? What might reconnect me to a spiritual trust?
The New Moon also makes a sextile to Pluto in Capricorn. We get an opportunity to be extra-present — and also to focus on practicalities and long-term plans. As best as you can, connect to your higher Self, and if possible, bring a sense of flow and faith to your long-term plans — especially those you feel really passionate about.
Surrendering our fears about our position in the world and our achievements gets a little easier. We also have the opportunity to be guided by inspiration and feel empowered about a project or task that might serve us long-term.
Ask yourself: How might a compassionate heart help me surrender my fears connected with past disempowerment? What has been confronting me lately when it comes to such fears?
Is it at least possible that combining my imagination with trust in divine guidance would support me in effortlessly reaching my long-term goals? What might be possible if I also heeded subtle messages from my intuitive heart that stir me toward the kind of success that empowers me and others?
Allow yourself to slow down and connect with nature, your body, and your breath. Doing so will help you manifest more in less time — we don’t manifest more (or faster) by rushing things, but rather by getting and staying in tune with the creative process.
Ask yourself: Where am I headed? If everything is energy, and everything is always in perfect alignment on an energetic level, how could I get more in tune with my own energy-body? If I did tune in, is it at least possible that I could then be in more perfect alignment with my goals? What would trusting the unfolding of my goals look like to me?
Jupiter, the traditional ruler of Pisces, is currently in Aquarius; it aligns with Mercury, and trines the North Node in Gemini.
The Alignment to Mercury in Aquarius shows us that we have the ability to see the bigger picture. We feel optimistic (sometimes maybe too optimistic) — and that helps us think big and far into the future.
Anything that expands our perspective is of interest; spiritual or mental journeys can definitely flourish, especially those connected with like-minded people or communities. If we don’t channel this energy into something that elevates our mind and soul, we may become a little restless or anxious.
Ask yourself: Might stepping outside of my daily routines bring me to a place where I can see my friendships and networks (or humanity’s future) from a new vantage point? What are my beliefs around groups and like-minded people? What might I see if I looked for a vision from that new vantage point?
Jupiter’s Trine to the North Node in Gemini shows us that collaboration, tolerance, and equality can be achieved in our communities if we stay open-minded and bring a good dose of curiosity to our interactions.
Ask yourself: What questions could I ask myself or others, that might help me expand my perspective on the future? What about my perspective about a group of people with whom I disagree?
The North Node represents our collective Soul’s Journey at this time. In Gemini, we are asked to make an effort when connecting with others, by staying open-minded, curious, sharing our perspectives, and listening to understand someone else’s.
Ask yourself: What if I communicated with 5% more clarity and open-mindedness? Might listening 5% more attentively help to expand my various networks? How about seeing my assumptions about a particular group of people more clearly?
Saturn is the traditional ruler of Aquarius — and is currently in that sign, which it co-rules with Uranus — where it trines Mars in Gemini, sextiles Chiron in Aries, and of course still squares Uranus in Taurus. Let’s unpack that…
Saturn’s Trine to Mars in Gemini: this allows for solid and realistic ideas and concepts —that serve us long-term — to flow, be shared, and contemplated. Commitments made right now with like-minded people might well develop into something lasting.
Ask yourself: What might I share with my tribe if I wanted to manifest something that would last and be sustainable for all involved? What might “responsible sharing” look like? What could I teach or learn that could make an impact long-term for me and my communities?
In that spirit, I also wanted to mention some Interviews that I will be doing…
One with my Dear friend D’Angelo for the show: Beauty + Gratitude on Soulivity TV on April 2nd at 8pm ET, and the other one with Sasha from Venus Wisdom, for a weekend event called: Re-Dream the World Astro Retreat on March 19th.
I will be sending out more details via email about those events. So stay tuned for more soon…
Saturn’s Sextile to Chiron in Aries presents an opportunity to connect with others and engage in a healing process that can bring progress in our various communities — maybe even world-wide.
We are more powerful than we realize, especially when we come together; so ask yourself: Could I allow myself and others to be human? What if taking a compassionate approach towards myself and others actually made for more fulfilling connections?
Saturn’s Square to Uranus in Taurus has been discussed in earlier videos, my Weekly Forecast on Feb. 17th, and more deeply in my latest webinar: “Saturn-Uranus Squares in 2021″ — in connection with our own birth charts.
Feel free to click on the various links above for more about this aspect.
To sum it all up: We can tap into the divinity within through meditation, being in nature, music, dance, energy healing, dream work, creative writing, art, or being with our intuition. In the silence, we feel the oneness with all there is, and the unconditional love the Universe provides.
The next 28 days are an opportunity to tap into our intuitive and imaginative abilities, then focus anew on what’s important for us — again, without rushing it.
Many of us are exhausted, as much is shifting, collectively and individually. Inner work takes as much energy as physical work (sometimes more), so take extra care of your body.
Follow your inner guidance. Release, recharge, and remember that we are all spiritual beings having a human experience!
As best as you can, unplug, and listen deeply to your heart and soul; allow yourself to be with what is, without needing to change or fix anything. Then — and only then — take action!
Again, feel free to also watch my New Moon video on the subject.

On Feb. 11th at 2:06pm EST, a powerful New Moon in 23 degrees of Aquarius becomes exact; this is the beginning of a new Moon cycle. I also recommend you watch my video on the subject.
This New Moon is unique in that there is a Stellium of planets in Aquarius — six planets total, to be exact. This highlights anything connected to group experiences — whether large or small, online or in-person, business or personal, spiritual or health-oriented, etc.
This Lunar cycle invites us to go out there and connect (or re-connect) with “our people”. A tribe that resonates, a cause that feels aligned with our principles or belief systems, a connection that serves a larger vision for the future, etc.
The highest and lightest vibration of Aquarius gives us the opportunity to see a clear vision for our life — and we are ready to make the relevant improvements.
Aquarius also deals with the power of ideals, technology, and inventions. We are now more interested than ever in the collective focus on changing group consciousness.
This is an opportunity for all of us to become more aware of our individual impact on the collective: We are all agents of change. Already. Always. That’s why we chose to be here at this time.
At its best, Aquarius stands for equality and diversity, innovation and reform, collaboration and community — we strive for progress. The challenge here is to unite and transcend differences of gender, race, and cultural or religious backgrounds, rather than separating from others, or ostracizing those who are different from us.
To move even further into that higher, lighter Aquarian vibration, ask yourself the following questions:

To move even further into that higher, lighter Aquarian vibration, ask yourself the following questions: Where am I called to make a difference? What could I, as an individual, do for humanity or a particular group of people? And how might “group consciousness” help us make progress? Where might I begin?
With so many planets in Aquarius, we may also experience some of the denser vibrations of this sign — we may either feel like outsiders, or get too invested in being like everyone else. We may also overemphasize thought forms or concepts and disconnect from the heart.
If we feel like outsiders — as though we don’t fit in and are maybe a little too different — we may want to rebel against social structures that don’t fit with our vision. We resist change, or conversely want to speed it up — and either could potentially be destructive.
If we feel like we need to conform with others (a group, affiliation, friends, family), we may give up our own unique spark or quirks, just to fit in and be part of something larger that makes us feel like we belong. We go along with thought-forms or concepts that may not even make sense to us and don’t question them for the greater good of the group (or to avoid being rejected, ridiculed, or ostracized).
We get trapped in this denser vibration when we do not take responsibility for our part in the collective — when we do not honor our individual genius, our unique contribution to society, or to our communities.
Ask yourself: What if I allowed myself to be both different and connected to others? What if taking responsibility for my thoughts and the vision that I am manifesting in “every moment of now” was the perfect jump-start for that better future?
What lies between me and my divine genius? What stops me from being me when I am with my “tribe”? What small daily steps would bring my vision for myself and humanity closer every day?
Every single one of us has a special gift, a spark unique to us; when we access our divine genius and share it with the world, we can make quantum leaps of insight and embark on remarkable collaborations with others.
Ask yourself: How does my divine genius make itself known? Where does it show up? What if my “different” was exactly what the world needed right now to evolve? Could I be fully myself (Heart and Soul) and give others permission to do the same? What if diversity not only supported our evolution… but was what kept us alive?
Imagine a world where everyone was a clone of yourself. Same features, personality, preferences, style, ideas, beliefs… same everything! How long could a world like that exist? How long before the human spirit perished?
Mercury is Retrograde at the time of the New Moon and makes a wide alignment with the Sun and Moon in Aquarius and a closer alignment with Venus & Jupiter in that sign. This invites us to go within and connect with groups and causes that are in alignment with our inner understanding of things.
Ask yourself: How can I connect my inner experience with my outer? Which member of my tribe have I not spoken to in a while? Who is (or has been) in alignment with my dreams for a better future? What would it look like if I reached out to those people, groups, communities, or affiliations?
Mental and conceptual abilities are strong for the next four weeks. We may feel particularly cool, calm, and collected — or even detached. Do your best to notice any tendency towards arrogance or rigidity of thought; choose to focus on objectivity and a larger vision whenever possible.
Ask yourself: What if my thoughts were like a radio station that others could tune into at any time? What would I choose to broadcast? What if I consciously chose to transmit a vision for a world in which I wished to live? What if I sent out that transmission for just 5 minutes each day?
If you think you are alone, or are the only one who… (fill in the blank). Think again! There are around 7 Billion people on this planet — you are not alone! No matter what your vision, quirks, divine genius, no matter what you are broadcasting, there are others out there who are tuned to that same frequency.
Ask yourself: How could I inspire others to foster progress? What might become possible if a group of us came together to create meaningful change for everyone — perhaps even for all living things?
Could I give other people the space they need if they don’t see things the same way I do? What if I focused on my own vision rather than making others wrong for theirs?
The New Moon and Mercury in Aquarius also Square Mars in Taurus. This asks us to question our group affiliations and explore alternatives. We may also want to break free from outdated value systems.
With Mars involved, we may experience a strong urge to act out desires for financial independence and for honoring our physical realities — maybe getting attached to what we are used to having or what we feel comfortable with — we may have a tendency to get a bit stubborn and we could also take things personally.
Ask yourself: How could I honor my own values, and allow others theirs, honoring their choices or preferences? What if taking things personally was not in my best interest? What if simply “holding space” for myself and others would give me the freedom I desire within my communities? What if it also allowed me to honor myself on a physical level (whether that was financially, or involved whatever my body needs to feel happy)?
Uranus (the modern ruler of Aquarius) currently in Taurus, squares Saturn (the traditional ruler of Aquarius), currently in Aquarius. This tells us that if we redefine our need to fit in and belong, we can find a more authentic connection with our own values; we are also invited to stay detached in our social dealing with others — honoring our own individuality without making anyone else wrong for being different or “themselves”.
Ask yourself: Are other people’s choices and preferences really about me (in other words, do I need to take them personally)? Could I give the “choosing” of other people the space that it needs, so I can honor what’s important to me, without taking things personally?
What might become possible if I expressed myself fully, knowing that others may have a different opinion to me, and that’s ok? How might that impact my current communities (whether physical or online)?
While in Taurus, Uranus prods us to get back to the basics — to what really matters, what is sustainable (for the whole planet), and what is best for all living beings.
Ask yourself: Where am I feeling a tension or a need for more spaciousness? Where do I need to “think out of the box”? Could I give myself permission to hold some space for things to reorganize themselves? Could I allow for this to happen slowly, without needing to rush into anything? Without pushing others or myself?
Keep in mind that things sometimes need to break down in order for them to be reorganized in a more sustainable way. Individually, this can be related to the area of life in your birth chart that Saturn and Uranus are currently transiting through; collectively, it can show up in sudden shifts and changes in our social or financial structures (or in physical shifts in the Earth’s structure).
”The Unexpected” is certainly going to be on top of the menu this year.
If you would like to learn how the Saturn/Uranus Squares in Aquarius/Taurus will impact you personally throughout 2021, feel free to join us on Feb. 26th for the next Forecasting Forum. To register for this webinar, click here (Star Members are automatically registered).
To sum it all up: we are ready to change the status quo, both in our own individual lives, and also collectively — and this could come with challenges and some breakdowns, plus some nervous energy and impatience — so definitely bring as much objectivity to your interactions as possible.
What if time really was what “heals all” — and brings wholeness to all? If that were so, might this call for patience on my part?
As best as you can, remember why you are here at this momentous time of change on this planet. “Think Different” and come together. Help birth a new world, one day at a time.
Whenever we meditate, pray, bless, or hold loving thoughts, either by ourselves or with others, we add to that vision of a new world. Do not give up, ever! Keep that vision alive for as long as it takes. We will get there eventually.

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 21-25 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, or Scorpio? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly.
Finally, let’s talk “New Moon Intentions” 🙂 The New Moon is the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle; this is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact, and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.
That means that this month, the best and most potent time to set intentions would be any time between 2:23am on Feb. 12th, and 2:06pm on Feb. 13th – (New York Time/US Eastern Time)
If you live in a timezone other than EST (US East Coast-time), and converting time zones isn’t your thing, I suggest joining my Facebook Fan-page and/or following me on Twitter, as I post reminders when it’s time to set your intentions 😉

On Jan. 12/13th at 12am EST, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 23 degrees of Capricorn, launching a new Moon cycle.
This is a good time to go within, to plant a seed for anything we would like to accomplish over the next 28 days, and maybe even beyond. The next section of this forecast will dig into this in more detail — you may also want to watch my New Moon video 🙂
This is the first New Moon in Capricorn since Jan. 5th, 2019, that is NOT also a Solar Eclipse. So, what have we learned about taking responsibility over the past two years? What have we come to understand about setting healthy boundaries? What have we realized about our own limitations? Other people’s limitations? How have our priorities shifted? Our goals? What have we learned about integrity? How much is there still to learn?
It is also the first New Moon of the year, and since Capricorn represents the quest for self-mastery on the physical plane, some useful questions you can ask yourself include:
What is my relationship to self-mastery now, versus in 2018? Am I going about things in a realistic way? Do I respect the laws of matter? What am I willing to undergo to overcome adversity? How committed am I to that?
The highest vibration of Capricorn is self-mastery: the development of responsibility, resourcefulness, reliability, the ability to set realistic goals and healthy boundaries. The next 28 days are a perfect time to work some more on these areas.
Let’s talk about some of the aspects connected to this particular New Moon chart:
This New Moon aligns with Pluto in Capricorn: This conveys an extra-potent message about our perception of physical reality — time and space — and about our relationship to power or to feeling empowered. Ask yourself: If I truly had choice in the matter, what kind of future would I choose to step into? What if I became 5% more aware of my personal power? Where might I have given it away to others? And how might I begin to reclaim it?
Pluto’s involvement could foster an all-or nothing attitude over the next 28 days towards our long-term goals, or our standing in society — in fact, we might become obsessed over those things — and/or it might bring up a fear of “losing control”. It’s important to stay heart-centered and grounded — engage tools or people where possible, to help you let go of your fears and surrender to the Soul power that resides within you.
If you get obsessed about your accomplishments out there in the world, as best as you can, remind yourself to slow down and take breaks. Ask yourself: Am I driven by fear or love/passion? If fear, worry, concerns, etc. are present, could I simply acknowledge that experience?
Close your eyes, and ask yourself: Is what I am afraid of real right now, or is it a projection into the future? If so, could I let go of “wanting” (aka “expecting”) to create this future for myself? Could I choose more powerfully? Could I choose a future that allows me to feel empowered, no matter what the circumstances?
Given that it rules Capricorn, Saturn’s placement in Aquarius plays an important role with this New Moon — and if you’d like to know how Saturn’s journey in Aquarius will impact your personal chart over the next two years, feel free to check out my 90+ minute webinar on the subject, available for purchase on my webinar-page.
As mentioned previously I also have a webinar about the Great Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in Aquarius, that started a new 20-year social-economic cycle, and a 200-year elemental cycle in late Dec. 2020. Again, feel free to go to my webinar page, if you would like to take a look at that!
Saturn conjuncts Jupiter and Mercury in Aquarius. Aquarius focuses our attention on the collective, on respecting the rights, needs, and gifts of all beings. This particular combo reminds us…

Saturn conjuncts Jupiter and Mercury in Aquarius. Aquarius focuses our attention on the collective, on respecting the rights, needs, and gifts of all beings. This particular combo reminds us of the importance of where we focus our mind — that our thoughts and words create our future — they matter! It’s time to visualize a future that is inclusive and works for everyone.
As best as you can, observe your mind: What future am I focused on? What thoughts and words could inspire a better future? What might be possible if I took 5% more responsibility for my inner dialog and the energy those thoughts disperse? How might “holding space” for myself and others contribute to a better future?
The Saturn/Jupiter/Mercury alignment in Aquarius sextiles Chiron in Aries. This combo presents an opportunity to connect with others, and engage in a healing process that can bring progress in our various communities, maybe even world-wide. We are more powerful than we realize, especially when we come together.
If you can, journal on these questions, and share your answers with those like-minded people in your various communities:
Ask yourself: What role that I identify with needs my love and understanding? What if my personal limitations were my main drivers for taking creative or unusual approaches? Could I allow myself and others to be human? What if taking a compassionate approach towards myself and others actually made for more fulfilling connections? What has been my experience with all of this so far and where could I gain through learning more?
Uranus is extremely exalted at the time of the New Moon because it is ending its 5-month Retrograde phase (on Jan. 14th) only 27.5 hours after the New Moon becomes exact. Uranus symbolizes the desire for freedom, equality, innovation, reform, and (most of all) progress — and as Uranus starts to go direct, we can sense this major breakthrough-energy. We could potentially drop centuries of old programming, especially since its direct motion also involves an alignment with Mars, and a Square to Jupiter and Saturn.
Let’s take a look at those aspects:
The Mars-Uranus alignment in Taurus brings a lot of nervous energy with it — we will most likely feel sudden spurts of energy moving through our bodies — do your best to channel the extra energy in a productive way.
Ask yourself: Might a deep breath into my belly calm my nervous system? What might it look like to consciously break away from situations that have limited me when it came to honoring myself and my talents? Where could I channel my courage? Where do I need to “think different”? Act differently?
Our willingness to innovate is strong with this alignment: new ways of seeing, using, and approaching our personal possessions, valuables, money, and talents are in focus.
It takes courage to try something new and different. Ask yourself: What is the next step on my journey toward becoming an ever-stronger, healthy individual, one who honors and loves themselves, and is not afraid to have different values from others?
This alignment between Uranus and Mars asks us to break away from anything keeping us from honoring our uniqueness and quirks — whatever keeps us in a rut, collectively and individually.
The Saturn/Jupiter/Mercury alignment in Aquarius squares the Mars/Uranus alignment in Taurus: all of this extends another invitation to step up in the world and become mature, responsible planetary citizens, while honoring our individuality — in other words, making a difference one by one, even when it seems as though we are too small to create a big shift on our own. No matter how small it may seem, every ripple moves something, changes something…
Remember that change is not always progress. Consider all options first and then respond, rather than reacting; stay flexible and be willing to entertain new possibilities.
Ask yourself: What if — in small or large ways — I could help birth a new age, and with it a new world, one that is based on heart-centered consciousness and individual freedoms?
I also cover the Saturn-Uranus Squares in Aquarius/Taurus as part of my upcoming webinar “A Look Ahead for 2021″, that will go live on Jan. 8th — you can register for the live event up until 1pm EST on Jan. 8th, and if you would prefer to watch it at a later date & time, the recording will be available for purchase starting Jan. 9th, on my webinar-page. !!Star Members check your email for the link to the webinar!!
The Mars/Uranus alignment in Taurus also trines Venus in Capricorn. With this combo, we have the ability to comfortably accomplish things that align with our values, coupled with a nice feeling of ease — rushing is not required or expected of us right now. We are feeling quite grounded in our connections with others, yet we also have an off-beat or innovative attitude, and can be quite “real” with others without causing offense.
Ask yourself: How could I implement revolutionary business or social practices that support my current values and make life tangibly more enjoyable for everyone who interacts with me socially or does business with me? How might an environment of diversity contribute to my long-term goals or business relationships? How might an innovative approach to my goals create a fresh start?
Last but not least, there is one final aspect we need to mention in this New Moon chart:
Venus in Capricorn squares Chiron in Aries. This aspect could cause us to feel impatient and/or triggered — so definitely bring as much compassion and kindness to yourself and others as you can muster. This is an opportunity to embrace our own humanity — keeping in mind that, as humans, we may experience pain, shame, and separation, but can heal through the unconditional love and self-acceptance of the spirit-human alliance.
Ask yourself: What might be possible if I was willing to just “be with” my insecurities and past wounding, without trying to fix them? What if my attempts to fix them were the very thing keeping me from seeing the divine perfection of it all?
Where besides career and other long-term goals could I channel my impatient, “masculine” energies into something that satisfies me on a physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual level?
To sum all of this up: We are invited to direct our attention to what needs to change — individually and collectively. Change is not always easy — and certainly not always pleasant — but it is necessary if we are to move towards a world that we want to live in and share with one another.
You could ask yourself here: What matters most to me? What are my priorities? What kind of future do I envision for myself and for all beings on this planet? What realistic steps can I take to move towards this future? Where is it best to be flexible? And on the other hand, where must I remain focused and stay aligned with my visions or preferences?
As best as you can, keep breathing, keep feeling, keep witnessing, and remember that we are all participating in an unprecedented evolutionary shift. We are divine beings living in a dense physical reality attempting to remember who we really are and what we came here to do.
Choose wisely for 2021 and beyond. Participate consciously in the evolution of existence on this planet, not from fear, but from knowledge of your inner strength and personal power — the power of your heart and your humanity!
