On May 13th, 2021, Jupiter changes signs from freedom-loving, forward-thinking, and objective Aquarius to creative, sensitive, and intuitive Pisces. It will journey in that sign until July 28th, 2021. This is a preview of what’s to come in December of 2021, when Jupiter makes its second move into Pisces on Dec. 28th, this time until May 11th, 2022. There will also be a third pass through Pisces from Oct. 28th until Dec. 20th, 2022.
In our individual natal chart, the position of Jupiter reveals how we express generosity and tolerance, and how we go about trusting others and improving our lives. Where do you look for wisdom and understanding? Where do you need movement and spaciousness? Where do you feel optimistic and have faith that things will turn out ok?
Jupiter represents the principle of expansion — it operates like a magnifying glass. It’s been in Aquarius since Dec. 2020, where that magnifying glass was looking at creating more opportunity for (and through) communities or networks — whether online or local.
The planet urges an expansion of sustainable, long-term visions, and a greater understanding of our potential for a better future — for example, it helped us develop faith in our humanitarian goals, or highlighted a lack of faith in those things. It also showed us more clearly where our alliances lie on a personal and collective level.
Aquarius values both equality and diversity, so we’ve been getting to see what we believe to be true about our various communities or affiliations, and the collective vision for the future — and what stories we’ve been telling ourselves about the same — we also gained new perspectives on our collective experience and our networks of like-minded people.
Jupiter in Pisces brings the magnifying lens to bear on our inner divinity, our ability to receive, our connection to intuition, and our desire to contribute to life from a heart-centered place. The opportunity now is to bring the enthusiastic energies of Jupiter to the unification of all dualities — becoming more fully aware of the oneness of all.
Jupiter in Pisces also promotes a greater understanding of our potential for expanding the union within. This exists always, and we can tap into it at any time — it helps us to have faith in our ability to transcend falsehoods and illusions by tapping directly into Source.
Jupiter is in Piscesuntil July 28th, 2021, and then again later from Dec. 2021, until May 2022, and then one last time from Oct. 28th until Dec. 20th, 2022. During these three periods, we attract the most good fortune when we are tender, devoted, compassionate, kind, look out for the underdog, and give generously. We value compassion and charity, and are motivated by a universal vision; peaceful personal philosophies and faith in the goodness of life will serve us best.
We are more open to spiritual or creative endeavors. Possibilities for a great heart-expansion and recognition of our underlying interconnectedness are very strong; we are each particularly invited to go within and explore this on a very private or personal level.
We also have an inborn faith in the Universe. Solitude, working alone, and meditation can all bring us great pleasure and a sense of rejuvenation. We are merciful and generous — often anonymously. Jupiter in Pisces helps to create…

Jupiter in Pisces helps to create more joy and pleasure in the pursuit of our dreams. This process very well might operate on an inner spiritual level, so any intuitive messages that we receive and act upon with a positive attitude and outlook will likely pay off, leaving us feeling more emotionally connected and heart-centered.
In addition, since Pisces also connects to otherworldly energies and water, we may feel more drawn both towards messages from the other side, and to spending time near water in nature (rivers, lakes, the ocean, waterfalls, etc.).
Ask yourself: How does intuitive knowing occur for me? What road might lead to greater heart-connections? What might open up if I became more connected to the part of me that is pure love? What if I took a 5% more positive attitude towards human life and all its paradoxes?
Here are some more questions: What is in the way of a connection to my inner divinity? What prevents me from slowing down? Turning inwards? Trusting my inner guidance? What if I opened just 5% more to the perfection of life? What if I trusted 5% more to universal timing?
What might promote a spiritual perspective around my connection to all of my surroundings? What am I aware of right now that would shift my perspective if I allowed myself to “feel into it”? How might I become more trusting and heart-centered when approaching my dreams? What creative or spiritual groups am I now ready to explore, that support a sensitive and all-inclusive approach towards all living beings?
Collectively, we will probably see the full spectrum of possibilities expressed, high and low — Pisces at its best is a compassionate energy, sensitive, intuitive; it cares about all of life and what’s beyond. It has the ability to dream up and create hopeful scenarios that unify us and bring an idealistic approach to the table.
In its denser, lower vibrations, we could find delusional approaches or attitudes. We may also feel like a victim, be overly sensitive, get overwhelmed easily, experience a feeling of separation, anxiety, lack of boundaries, escape-oriented behaviors (drugs, alcohol, sex, TV, video games, gambling, etc.), or beliefs connected to spiritual concepts that are too idealistic, too dreamy, in other words: wishful thinking.
No matter what we experience on a collective level, if we can trust our inner knowing, keep thinking with an open heart, and stay present on our journey towards unity and love, we will reap the rewards.
The motto for Jupiter in Pisces might be something like this: What you explore for yourself, you explore for all! What you give to everyone, you give to yourself!
Jupiter moves through a 12-year cycle, so the last time it traveled through Pisces was between mid Jan. 2010 and early June 2010, as well as early Sept. 2010 until late Jan. 2011.
And the previous cycles, from most to least recent, were: Early Feb. 1998 — mid Feb. 1999 Late Feb. 1986 — early March 1987 Early March 1974 — mid March 1975 Late March 1962 — early April 1963
Think back to any of the above periods that you lived through: what possibilities or opportunities arose for you on a creative or spiritual level? In what ways did you grow? In what ways did you expand your relationship to the Universe? To your Higher Self? Your intuitiveness?
What felt like a collective new beginning, or a new vision for mankind in 2010? In 1998? The other periods listed above? Where did you experience expansion in those years? How could you take that to the next level?
If you were born during any of those periods, you will have a Jupiter Return in 2021 or 2022 — these Jupiter Returns happen every 12 years and signify a new beginning on our journey towards greater evolution. If this is true for you, as best as you can, plant some new seeds for the next 12 years of your evolutionary journey and set some intentions in connection with the House placement of your natal Jupiter.
Neptune is also in Pisces. Given that Jupiter now moves over the same territory in our charts as Neptune, we get an opportunity to connect to our own divinity and bring a spiritual expansion for ALL. Jupiter will be within 5 degrees of NeptuneMarch 18th until May 10th, 2022.
Jupiter will connect with Neptune in almost 24º of Pisces on April 12th, 2022. This is the beginning of a 12 – 13 year spiritual growth cycle. We are invited to go within and trust our connection to God/Source/Higher Self/the Universe. We are also invited to slow down our enthusiasm for universal unity and love, and release our resistance to those things we feel separate from, or want to separate ourselves from.
Our heart-center and spiritual approaches need to focus on inter-connectivity and love. This is how we grow and expand as people over the next 12-13 years.
That said, we might also overdo our desire for “Oneness” and Love (Jupiter does, after all, represent excess as well 😉
Here are some questions we could ask ourselves in connection with the Jupiter-Neptune alignment in Pisces:
What might promote a new perspective on spiritual growth? Our ability to tap into our own divinity? How might we become more heart-centered and intuitive when dealing with life’s paradoxes? What spiritual beliefs are we now ready to explore or go beyond?
Could I allow myself to feel whatever shows up, even if it doesn’t make sense to the mind? Could I simply allow those feelings to flow through me?
[/wcm_restrict] Where does Jupiter-in-Pisces fall in your own birth chart? What aspects does it make during this transit? How does a wise response to one house support a more fruitful response to the next? What outward opportunities arise as Jupiter interacts with any of your personal planets? Where will you experience a major expansion until Dec. 2022? Where are you ready to open your heart and trust the larger play of life?
If you’d like more insight into those questions, we will cover Jupiter’s move through Pisces in more detail in the next Forecasting Forum (live on May 28th) — so if you want to know how this planetary movement is impacting you personally, feel free to join us live, or register for the mp4-video-presentation of the live event.

On Dec. 19th, 2020 at 8:07am EST, Jupiter moves from practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn into freedom-loving, forward-thinking and objective Aquarius, where it will journey until May 13th, 2021. It will then revisit Aquarius between July 28th and Dec. 28th, 2021.
Jupiter represents our desire to seek insight through knowledge; some of this planet’s keywords are gratitude, hope, honor, morality, and the law — it is also the planet of possibility, optimism, and growth (including mental and spiritual growth), and is associated with a sense of humor, goodwill, and mercy.
The lower expressions of Jupiter include “Oh, the heck with it”, “I deserve this and more”, “the rules do not apply to me” — generally speaking, too much of a good thing, blind optimism, excess, stretching the truth, overindulgence, and so forth.
In the natal chart, the position of Jupiter reveals how we express generosity and tolerance, it also shows how we go about trusting others and improving our lives. Where do you look for wisdom and understanding? Where do you need movement and spaciousness? Where do you feel optimistic and have faith that things will turn out ok?
Jupiter represents the principle of expansion (it operates like a magnifying glass); it’s been in Capricorn over the last year (2020), where it created more opportunity for (and through) government. It sought an expansion of sustainable, long-term goals, and a greater understanding of our potential for overcoming adversity in the real world — for example, it helped us develop faith in our physical and cultural structures (or highlighted a lack of faith in those things). It also showed us more clearly where our limitations lie as a collective.
Capricorn values both expertise and healthy boundaries, so we’ve been getting to see what we believe to be true about government, authority figures, and collective rules and regulations in 2020 (and what stories we’ve been telling ourselves) — we also gained new perspectives on our collective experience and what we want to leave behind for other generations.
Jupiter in Aquarius brings the magnifying lens to bear on group consciousness, group visions, and networks of like-minded people; the opportunity now is to bring the enthusiastic energies of Jupiter to our communities, creating equality and open-minded exchanges with others.
Jupiter in Aquarius also promotes a greater understanding of our potential for everyone to express their individuality, celebrating each other’s differences. It helps us to have faith in our ability to turn challenges into change when we come together as one mind, one heart, one consciousness.
While Jupiter is in Aquarius (until Dec. 2021), we definitely attract the most good fortune when we are tolerant and fair, inventive, impartial, and cooperative. We value people and personal freedom. Unique perspectives, skills, and talents will serve us most. We are more open to new methods and want to see progress in the world. Possibilities for great tolerance and major humanitarianism are very strong; in particular, we are invited to offer freedom of choice to others.
We are also more able to think outside the box, are more mentally adventurous, ready, willing, and able to learn. We are into “mind expansion”, and are less attached to our values because we are generally more impartial and open-minded now — in fact, an original mind is what we seek. Intellectual stimulation is likewise welcome now, and the pursuit of technological inventions to make the future better and easier for everyone a worthy goal.
Jupiter in Aquarius also helps to create…

Jupiter in Aquarius also helps to create more joy and pleasure in the pursuit of our visions and larger dreams for humanity. This process very well might operate on a mental/spiritual level, so any causes that we keep investing in with a positive attitude and outlook will likely pay off, leaving us feeling more free even while we pursue our bigger vision — and since Aquarius also connects to social and political groups, we may feel more drawn towards inventive and unusual people or group spirits.
Ask yourself: What does individual and collective freedom look like for me? What road might lead to greater freedom? What might open up if I became more open-minded? What if I took a 5% more positive attitude towards humanity and its individuals?
Here are some more questions: Where have I been visualizing less than ideal goals for humanity? What might promote an inventive perspective in regards to my connection with like-minded people? Or my various social causes in the world? How might I become more independent and tolerant when approaching social causes? What social, political, or spiritual groups am I now ready to explore that support equality?
Collectively, we will probably see the full spectrum of possibilities expressed, high and low — Aquarius at its best is a visionary energy, tolerant, inventive; it cares about social justice and human welfare. It has the ability to think outside the box and create new social structures that break with tradition and bring a futuristic/idealistic approach to the table — and in its denser/lower vibrations we could find mentally rigid attitudes, emotionally detached and opinionated or even arrogant thinking, eccentric behaviors or beliefs connected to futuristic concepts that are too idealistic to work (politically speaking, or in regards to our faith).
No matter what we experience on a collective level, if we are open to changing and reforming the old status quo, and have a visionary outlook on life, keep thinking outside the box, and stay committed on our journey towards a “better world”, we will reap our rewards.
Jupiter moves through a 12-year cycle, so the last time it traveled through Aquarius was between early Jan. 2009 and mid Jan. 2010. And the times before that was between: Late Jan. 1997 – early Feb. 1998 Early Feb. 1985 – late Feb. 1986 Late Feb. 1973 – early March 1974 Mid March 1961 – mid Aug. 1961 Early Nov. 1961 – late March 1962
Think back to any of those periods you lived through… what possibilities or opportunities arose for you within your various communities? With like-minded people? In what ways did you grow? In what ways did you expand a vision for humanity? For a community? For a cause? What felt like a collective new beginning, or a new vision for mankind in 2009? In 1997? The other periods listed above? Where did you experience expansion in those years? How could you take that to the next level?
If you were born during any of those periods, you will have a Jupiter Return in 2021 — these Jupiter Returns happen every 12 years and signify a new beginning on our journey towards greater evolution. As best as you can, plant some new seeds for the next 12 years of your evolutionary journey — and set some intentions in connection with the House placement of your natal Jupiter.
Saturn is currently in Aquarius as well; given that Jupiter now moves over the same territory in our charts as Saturn, we get an opportunity to build long-term structures and foundations that bring expansion for humanity. Jupiter will be within 5 degrees of Saturn until Jan. 31st, 2021.
Jupiter will connect with Saturn in 0º of Aquarius on Dec. 21st, 2020. This is the beginning of a 20-year social-economic cycle; it is asking us to slow down our enthusiasm for a greater vision for the world we live in and focus instead on visualizing practical results within groups and communities, so we feel motivated to achieve them.
We will be wise to adopt a step-by-step approach to the realization of our humanitarian goals, conduct ourselves with integrity, and employ an ethical, mature, and open-minded approach.
Our inventions and unusual approaches need to focus on long-term sustainability and group consciousness. This is how we grow and expand as people over the next 20 years.
We might also overdo our need to “achieve something great for humanity” (Jupiter does, after all, represent excess as well 😉
Here are some questions we could ask ourselves in connection with the Jupiter-Saturn alignment in Aquarius: Where have we been limiting ourselves, socially speaking? Where have we been wasting time? Energy? Resources? What might promote a new perspective on our social-economic goals? Or our achievements in our various communities? How might we become more tolerant and inventive when approaching life’s challenges? What humanitarian aspirations are we now ready to explore?
Jupiter squares Uranus in a little over 6.5º of Aquarius/Taurus on Jan. 17th, 2021. This is followed by three Saturn/Uranus Squares in 7º of Aquarius/Taurus on Feb. 17th, in 13º of Aquarius/Taurus on June 14th (the planets will be retrograde for this one), and in 11º of Aquarius/Taurus on Dec. 24th, 2021.
Since these are Closing Squares, we are looking for practical solutions; change needs to proceed from a level of maturity that is informed by our experience of what didn’t work before.
Last time we had a Jupiter/Uranus Square in Aquarius/Taurus was in Jan. 1938! Saturn and Uranus were last in Aquarius and Taurus even earlier, in mid-1934, however they did not make an exact Square to each other.
In 1999-2000, Saturn squared Uranus in Taurus/Aquarius as well, however the roles were reversed at that time: Saturn in Taurus and Uranus in Aquarius.
[/wcm_restrict]
As Jupiter squares Uranus in Taurus during the course of its alignment with Saturn in Aquarius, we may become quite eager to make some essential changes in our lives, both collectively and individually.
Where does Jupiter-in-Aquarius fall in your own birth chart? What aspects does it make during the year-long transit? How does a wise response to one house support a more fruitful response to the next? What outward opportunities arise as Jupiter interacts with any of your personal planets? Where will you experience a major expansion until Dec. 2021? Where are you ready to create a network or alliance with others?
If you’d like more insight into those questions, we covered Jupiter’s and Saturn’s alignment in Aquarius in more detail in our last Forecasting Forum — so if you want to know how this powerful planetary alignment is impacting you personally, feel free to purchase the video-presentation of the last webinar — we applied the Jupiter’s and Saturn’s movement to our own birth charts! On April 4th, a long-term Jupiter/Pluto alignment in almost 25 degrees of Capricorn becomes exact at 10:45pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from March 11th on; it will remain strong until May 2nd.
This is the first Jupiter/Pluto alignment of the year. There will be two other ones throughout the year: on June 30th (24º), and Nov. 12th (almost 23º); these conjunctions start a new 13-year cycle.
Due to Pluto’s Station phase in April/May we may experience this aspect more intensely in April than at any other time this year.
The last two times these particular planets connected was in Dec. 2007, in 28º of Sagittarius, and in Dec. 1994, in 28º of Scorpio. The last of these cycles to occur in the sign of Capricorn began in Feb. 1771 and the one before that started in Jan. 1522 — note also that there are larger cycles within the smaller cycles.
Think back to Dec. 2007, and ask yourself: What “forced” me to look beyond my current understanding to a larger perspective so I could grow and evolve? In what ways did I need to take a deeper look at my belief systems at that time? How did I want to better myself? What situation in my life required a “rebirth”? How can I now take that to the next level?
This aspect invites us to see the bigger picture in our attempt to regain control over our collective experience. This will likely spark major revelations and reformations, as fundamental assumptions are challenged, hypocrisies exposed, and priorities reordered. Benefits may come now through those in authority or the government. It can also be a time of personal growth and expansion. This can also be…

This can also be an ambitious time, when desire for success or power is especially strong; the ability to sway or persuade could be enhanced, especially when it comes to those in positions of authority (for better or for worse).
One of the most positive uses of this transit is a drive to better ourselves, to expose the shadow side of power and authority, and to thereby connect on a deeper level to our individual and collective Soul Purpose.
We might solve a long-standing problem or capitalize upon a previously hidden resource. Social or material goals may come into strong focus, and there is a possibility for a collective transformation that will change our social structures, and how we use or see them.
Our faith in a social system that supports us may be reborn or developed strongly now. We might also decide to invest our time, our energy, and (possibly) our money into an ambitious new long-term project — this could play out on a personal or a collective level. There may be many ways we could take advantage of the increased drive this transit brings, but it would be wise to avoid tendencies towards self-righteousness, exaggeration, and obsession.
We crave intensity and passion now and “mediocre” will no longer do; we may well meet people, go places, or learn new things that change our way of thinking during this interesting, and even mind-bending transit. It’s a strong time for studies and interests, publishing, promoting, and sharing our ideas with others. We might also experience an increase in influence of certain sectors of society that hold positions of authority (such as doctors, politicians, educators, clergy, etc).
Ask yourself: What in my life requires a new perspective, so I can find a deeper meaning on my career path? How can I feel more empowered on my current journey? How can I be my own “authority” in the world? What would it look like to connect to a deeper truth — and live from that truth every day?
As you can tell, looking at these questions, we are more likely to have some powerful insights at this timeIf if we are able to have faith in our own authority. This is also a time where we could take a look at our expectations of ourselves, others, and society in general, and transform our projections — or better yet, acknowledge and own our projections, so we can see more clearly what needs to transform.
However, with all that said, we are also invited to watch for over-attachment to our opinions and for trying to convert others to our viewpoint during this transit. We’re gaining much in the form of maturity and wisdom during this time, and this may come with some toughening up around our opinions and worldview. This transit generally favors big business, the law, grants, taxes, education, and commerce.
Ask yourself: What social expectation do I currently have of myself and others? What social structures could use an overhaul? What personal structures? Where am I holding myself back, out of fear that everything will collapse?
[/wcm_restrict]
What’s my biggest fear in connection with the area of life where this alignment is taking place in my birth chart? What’s being seeded this year — in connection with my own personal growth and my Soul Purpose — that will be looking to expand over the next 13 years? How might this be a new beginning for me?
We will also be talking about this aspect — in connection with our own Birth charts — in our upcoming Forecasting Forum on April 6th. Click here to register (if you are not already a Star Member).
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 22-28 degrees of Capricorn, Cancer, Aries, or Libra? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Sagittarius or Scorpio (Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius; Pluto rules Scorpio)
Sonja’s passion is for connecting with people and helping them transform their lives. This led her to train as a life coach, in addition to her lifelong study of Astrology. On Dec. 2nd, 2019 at 1:20pm EST, Jupiter moves from adventurous, enthusiastic Sagittarius into practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until Dec. 19th, 2020.
Jupiter represents the principle of expansion; it’s been in Sagittarius over the last year (2019), where it sought the bigger picture, new perspectives, expansion, and higher learning of some kind — imagine a powerful lens, searching, magnifying.
Sagittarius values both freedom of movement and the truth, so we’ve been getting to see what we believe to be true about ourselves, life, and others in 2019 (and what stories we’ve been telling ourselves, too) — and we also wanted to go full steam ahead, no matter what the direction.
With Jupiter in Capricorn, that magnifying lens now swings over to long-term goals and worldly achievements; the opportunity now is to ground the enthusiastic energies of Jupiter and commit to a path that we have been visualizing or toying with over the last year (2019).
Jupiter in Capricorn also promotes a greater understanding of our potential for overcoming adversity in the real world; it also helps us develop our ability (or shows us our inability) to have faith in our higher Selves, our divinity, here on earth.
For the next 12.5 months, we definitely attract the most good fortune when we are…

For the next 12.5 months, we definitely attract the most good fortune when we are open-handed in mature ways, tolerant and courageous in our business dealings, and practice focused enthusiasm, realistic generosity, and cautious optimism.
With Jupiter in Capricorn, we are invited to slow down and focus on visualizing practical results, so we feel motivated to achieve them — we will be wise to adopt a step-by-step approach to the realization of our goals, conduct ourselves with integrity, and employ an ethical and mature approach. This is how we grow and expand — as the saying goes, “the harder we work, the luckier we get”. However, we might also overdo “needing to achieve something of stature in the world” (Jupiter does, after all, represent excess as well 😉
That said, Jupiter in Capricorn also helps to create more joy and pleasure in the pursuit of our goals; this process very well might operate on a mental/spiritual level, so any long-term goals that we keep investing in with a positive attitude and outlook will likely pay off, leaving feeling more accomplished while we pursue our bigger vision — and since Capricorn also connects to social status, we may feel more drawn towards accomplished and well-known people, too.
Ask yourself: What does practical realism look like for me? What journey might lead to greater maturity? What might happen if I became self-responsible and took a positive attitude towards my career goals?
Here are some more questions: Where have I been limiting myself? Wasting time? Energy? Resources? What might promote a realistic perspective on my long-term goals? Or my achievements in the world? How might I become more resourceful when approaching life’s challenges? What business or social aspirations am I now ready to explore?
Collectively, we will probably see the full spectrum of possibilities expressed, high and low — Capricorn at its best is hard-working, disciplined, committed, determined, ambitious, responsible, patient, reliable. It has self-control, common sense, and is self-reliant — and in its lower vibrations we could find materialistic, pessimistic, fearful, self-serving, status-hungry, overly ambitious attitudes showing up as well.
No matter what we experience on a collective level, if we are open to being committed and have a mature outlook on life, taking it one step at a time, and staying accountable on our journey towards success, we will be reap our rewards.
Jupiter moves through a 12-year cycle, so the last time it traveled through Capricorn was between mid Dec. 2007 and early Jan. 2009. And the times before that was between:
• early January 1996 – late Jan. 1997
• mid Jan. 1984 – early Feb. 1985
• early Feb. 1972 – late Feb. 1973
• early March 1960 – mid March 1961
Think back to those periods… what possibilities or opportunities arose for you career-wise? In society? In what ways did you grow? In what ways did you manifest something for the long-term? What felt like a practical new beginning, or a new building block in 2008? How could you take that to the next level?
If you were born during those dates, you will have a Jupiter Return in 2020; these happen every 12 years, and signify a new beginning on your journey towards greater evolution. As best as you can, plant some new seeds for the next 12 years of your evolutionary journey — and set some intentions in connection with the House placement of your natal Jupiter.
Saturn, Pluto and the South Node are currently in Capricorn as well; given that Jupiter now moves over the same territory in our charts as Saturn has since Dec. 2017, we get an opportunity to build on the structures and foundations that were laid since then. Think back to 2018/2019: Did you do the work? What structures did you build? What has changed for you since? How could you create a bigger win (or bigger opportunities) now?
[/wcm_restrict] Jupiter will connect with the South Node in 8º of Capricorn in January 2020, around the same time that Saturn aligns with Pluto in 22º of Capricorn. Jupiter then aligns with Pluto in 24º of Capricorn first in March/April, then in June/July, and then again in November 2020. Jupiter will also be within 5 degrees of Saturn towards the end of the year: Nov/Dec 2020. As Jupiter aligns with Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn during the course of its transit, we may become quite power-hungry or status-conscious.
Where does Jupiter-in-Capricorn fall in your own birth chart? What aspects does it make during the year-long transit? How does a wise response to one house support a more fruitful response to the next one? What outward opportunities arise as Jupiter interacts with any of your personal planets? Where will you experience a major expansion until Dec. 2020? Where are you ready to make a solid commitment?

On Thursday, Nov. 8th, at 7:38am EST, Jupiter moves from passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio into adventurous, enthusiastic Sagittarius, where it will journey until Dec. 2nd, 2019.
Jupiter moves through a 12-year cycle, so the last time it traveled through its own sign was between November, 2006 and December, 2007 — and the time before that was between December, 1994 and January, 1996.
Think back to those periods… what possibilities or opportunities arose for you? In what ways did you grow or expand? What felt like a birth or a new beginning back then? How could you take all of that to the next level?
Jupiter represents our desire to seek insight through knowledge. Some of this planet’s keywords: morality, gratitude, hope, honor, the law. Jupiter is the planet of possibility, optimism, and growth (including mental and spiritual growth). Jupiter is also associated with a sense of humor, goodwill, and mercy.
The lower expressions of Jupiter include “Oh, the heck with it”, “I deserve this and more”, “the rules do not apply to me” — generally speaking, too much of a good thing, blind optimism, excess, stretching the truth, overindulgence, and so forth.
In the natal chart, the position of Jupiter reveals how we express generosity and tolerance; it also shows how we go about trusting others and improving our lives. Where do we look for wisdom and understanding?
Jupiter symbolizes the principle of expansion; in Scorpio it held a magnifying glass over authentic, emotional commitments or connections and thereby changed our perspective on our subconscious drives and fears, those suppressed or denied parts of ourselves.
Since Scorpio was all about feeling more fully and authentically connected to all parts of ourselves (and thereby feeling empowered), everything in the human unconscious was lit up — we got to see the darker side of things, our survival strategies — and our deepest, darkest desires.
With Jupiter in Sagittarius, that magnifying glass now swings over to…

… seeking the truth, we are invited to look for the bigger picture and grow on a mental and spiritual level, so we can experience more freedom from our survival instincts and instead undergo mental expansion. Where has surviving kept you small? Where has that survival goal become an obstacle?
Jupiter promotes a greater understanding of all of our potential to overcome our darker human nature and develop our ability (or show us our inability) to have faith in our higher Selves, our divinity.
We definitely attract the most good fortune when we are open-handed and generous, tolerant, and are practicing what we preach. We might be more inspirational and find travel, education, teaching, sports, publishing, and foreign cultures especially rewarding.
For the next 13 months, we tend to be more philosophical, forward-looking, and enthusiastic. We strongly value freedom of movement, and truth — but we need to be watch out that we don’t become moralistic with others.
This process very well might operate on a mental/spiritual level, so any “journeys” that we invest in will pay off — and we are able to feel more optimistic about our discoveries as we gain a new perspective on those suppressed or denied parts of ourselves.
Since Sagittarius also connects with religions, we could see greater possibilities when it comes to religious or spiritual communities, and any gifts or talents that they offer.
We are also more likely to be enthusiastic for longer journeys — it doesn’t matter whether we physically undertake such a journey, or simply “travel” with the mind, as long as we experience expansion and learning of some kind.
Questions you could ask yourself: What might promote a new perspective on life? On myself? What journey might lead to wisdom? What spiritual aspirations am I now ready to explore?
Collectively, we will probably see the full spectrum of possibilities expressed, high and low — Sagittarius at its best is adventurous, brave, and wise, optimistic, restless, enthusiastic, honest, outspoken and independent — and in its lower vibrations we find blind optimism, excess, truth-stretching, overindulgence and irresponsibility showing up as well.
No matter what we experience on a collective level, if we are open to seeing the bigger picture, our personal journey will ultimately provide us with a higher perspective when it comes to life on this planet.
Saturn moved through Sagittarius from Dec. 2014 until June 2015, and then again from Sept. 2015 until Dec. 2017; as Jupiter moves over the same territory in our charts we get an opportunity to build on the structures and foundations that were laid back then. Think back to those periods of time: Did you do the work? What structures did you build? What has changed for you since? How could you create a bigger win (or bigger opportunities) now?

T-Square (Nov. 2016 – April 2017): Since Nov. 2016, we’ve been experiencing a T-Square involving Pluto in Capricorn, Jupiter in Libra, and Uranus in Aries. Given that this is a powerful and fairly long-lasting aspect, I figured I would write a special blog entry about it.
Let’s first talk about what T-Squares are in general, before diving into the specifics of this particular one:
The first thing you need to know is that T-squares are very dynamic aspects, that keep us “on our toes”, constantly growing. We can learn a tremendous amount when we work actively and consciously with the energies involved in a T-Square.
So what exactly are they?
Imagine a dinner table with four legs. Now remove one of the legs. You now have two legs “opposite” each other and a third one at right angles to each of the other two; together, they make the shape of a “T”.
This is not a very stable, well-balanced table, as it has an “empty” spot where a leg should be.
Likewise, a T-Square is a formation of 3 planets that together form the shape of a “T” in a chart — two form an “opposition”, the third one usually “squares” them both.
The third planet is known as the “focus planet”. Just like our table, this planet has an “empty leg” directly across from it in the chart.
Why does this matter? Because the “focus planet” in a T-Square brings more stress, and thus a more urgent demand for our growth. We resolve and relieve that stress, and thereby ease the growth process, by bringing the focus planet’s higher expression to that “empty leg” in the chart.
Let’s get down to the specifics of this particular T-square:
As previously mentioned, it involves Pluto in Capricorn, Jupiter in Libra, and Uranus in Aries. All of these planets have been within 5 degrees of each other since the T-Square formed back in November and will remain so until early April. Jupiter in Libra and Uranus in Aries form the “opposition” legs of the table, while Pluto in Capricorn is the “focus planet”.
This is a very powerful combo.
It’s asking us to be completely honest, with ourselves and others, about our intentions and motivations — especially around long-term goals. We are also asking this of our leaders right now, we want them to be honest, to have authentic intentions.
This aspect brings the message that each of us has the power to make a difference in the world… that we need not just give our power away to world “leaders” or “influencers”. It’s saying “We all have power, we all can make a difference — Own that! Seize the moment! Take up your courage with both hands and move forward!”
We are at a turning point: Empowering others is now key! Notice when you try to force your beliefs on others — that could introduce an element of disempowerment for them and us.
There is also some tension between relationships and long-term goals. We may ask how our relationships support us in accomplishing those long-term goals. At the root of this are seemingly conflicting desires: We want to expand our experience of harmony, balance and collaboration, all while passionately building something empowering over the long haul. It’s not always easy to “square” these energies.
As best as you can, stay flexible, make adjustments, find creative solutions when it comes to these very different desires and focuses. If we feel boxed in to something inauthentic, we may rebel or act contrary. This will be even more true within our relationships — this could bring in some restlessness or instability, perhaps related to our business relationships or long-term goals.
As best as you can, don’t take things too personally — and stay as flexible as possible. Allow there to be breakthroughs, shifts, changes. As always, change could be uncomfortable — perhaps because we like what’s familiar — or because we want change so badly that we can’t handle the in-between phase that comes will all transitions… it’s an invitation to stretch ourselves and step into the unknown.
Here’s some “self-coaching” questions to ease you on your way:
What if that “something unexpected” around the corner was guaranteed to change my life for the better? What needs to be eliminated? Changed? What would “courage” do? What if I simply surprised myself, right here and now?
Let’s look at some other facets of this T-square. Earlier, we mentioned that the “focus planet” is Pluto in Capricorn:
This T-square is thus asking us to stretch and grow along another dimension: we are invited to empower ourselves in the world by connecting to our “feeling body” and by developing a deeper understanding of our physical and emotional needs (especially for safety).
At the same time, we are also invited to stretch ourselves to create a more authentic and empowered society — one that honors the unique, individual contribution of everyone — one capable of owning its fears and less attractive characteristics. How might we bring this about? The best place to start is to honor ourselves and express our unique spark.
All of this accelerates the breakdown of long-standing patterns: we are invited individually and collectively to resolve core karmic lessons — shifting from an old paradigm to a new one. What might a “new paradigm” be?
How can we accomplish change without discounting input from others?
What if change were something we could simply allow, rather than something that involved aggression?
As best as you can, take it one moment at a time, there is no need to rush anything 😉 Ask yourself: Could I allow myself to be uncomfortable, just for right now?
The position of this T-square in our birth chart shows the area of life in which we are developing not only courage and initiative (Aries), but also diplomacy and collaborative spirit (Libra), together with responsibility and integrity (Capricorn).
This T-Square is also asking us to redefine personal and collective freedom. We are invited to release old patterns, particularly around gender, so we can each fulfill our unique role at this critical juncture on Earth. Much like the 1960’s, we are laying the groundwork for future generations right now.
Just as was true then, we need to let our vision direct our thoughts and actions, rather than our fear. Simply know that it is possible — and that you are part of what makes it possible.
That said — and somewhat paradoxically — bringing forth a global consciousness based on freedom, equality and mutual benefit, will mean addressing what lurks in the shadows: our unconscious… the suppressed, feared, denied, ignored, shameful, etc. In other words, the inner work not only continues, it informs and enables the vision.
So, I ask myself (and invite you to do the same): What are my true motivations? If fears were driving me, what might they be?
What might shift if I faced those fears — acknowledged them, brought them out into the open?
What if I allowed myself to surrender to my own higher power, or to my passionately pumping, wildly open heart? Trust your inner truth!
By definition, a better future pretty much always requires doing different things, or doing things differently, so be ready to correct your course or set a new one… Is there another path that leads to the goal? What if it were possible to take responsibility and be flexible at the same time?
What if I forgave myself for just a moment? Even for limitations I still have… even for fears… maybe even for my phobias… for all the “stuff” I still carry around, whether from a past life or this one?
As you can see, we are asked to let go of our fearful conditioning, and embrace a vision that calls for us to “live into” the highest version of ourselves.
This will mean we take an innovative approach both to who we are personally, and to our interactions with others. The same is true of our perspective on justice, we’re asking ourselves: what is just? We’re seeking harmony and balance.
Life is so short in relationship to the life of the planet. That we are not in this body for very long, means that there is a certain degree of urgency — almost like a responsibility — to make it count for something. If we are like a single drop of rain in a mighty rainstorm, why not at least be a drop that makes a ripple when it returns to the ocean? Who knows, perhaps as your ripple meets others, it might create a beautiful resonance with everything around it — a harmony that ripples down through eternity…
I therefore invite you to be passionate about life. Why not fully express our uniqueness? After all, that’s what will create the shift. It’s what moves other people. It’s the best and easiest way to touch each others lives.
We are definitely being pulled in many different directions with this T-Square, personally and collectively — radically different.
And, as regular readers of my Weekly Forecasts know: Self-care is therefore critical. Why do I say this?
It’s this simple: if we don’t maintain our physical bodies, we will not be able to maintain the pace, or meet the demands placed on us right now.
The empty leg of this T-square being in Cancer, it emphasizes that message: we are reminded to nurture ourselves, especially (once again) our “feeling body”. We are being invited to pay attention to our basic needs — for love, acceptance, control, safety & security, etc.
As best as you can then, take breaks — or at least slow down and allow yourself to relax. It’s important to explore ways to stay centered and grounded — seek tools or people to help you with that exploration. This is true always, of course, but holds especially true until the end of the T-Square in early April.
Some of us struggle with this. Perhaps we think “I don’t deserve that” or “I’m too busy — my function in the world is more important than the body that performs the work.” Some of us hear “self-care”, and think “selfish”.
When you think about it, though, selfish behaviors are generally coming from fear. And who is served when we neglect our physical or emotional health?
I invite you to reclaim the term “self-care” for love. Aren’t you as deserving of your love and support as any “external” person? Where and how could “self-oriented” motivations serve you and others?
“Self-care” doesn’t have to be a trip to Hawaii — we’re talking about simple things, like making sure that we eat mindfully, drink plenty of water, exercise, get plentiful rest. This is about letting in affection from friends, family, or pets. It doesn’t matter what your current energetic or financial situation, you can always find some way to let some nurturing happen 🙂
What (or who) brings you comfort and support? How can you nurture yourself in these times of change?
What if empowerment in the world came from being in touch with our “feeling-body”? What might we accomplish if we simply asked for what we need?
In other words, “self-care” means connecting to whatever feels supportive, in order to stay grounded and regenerate; this is particularly important right now, because we are feeling very action-oriented. If everything else is moving fast, it’s good if we slow down, become the eye of the storm. If nothing else, at least we can do our best to roll with the punches, while standing in our power.
If you’d like some help with this, watch my Full Moon in Gemini video — towards the end, I invite you to do a quick experiment with me, using simple questions from the “Sedona Method”. This can support you in feeling more grounded and present (the Sedona Method is one of the main techniques I use in my coaching practice).
All of this not only empowers us, it also make it easier to empower others — and remember that while force comes from fear and righteousness, true power always comes from love and openness.
Those of us who have personal planets or points (ASC/MC) in 14-28 degrees of Aries, Libra, Capricorn or Cancer, will feel the effects of this T-Square more strongly.
