Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, December 20th:
Monday, the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day. It will journey there until Tuesday late afternoon. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say and therefore our feelings are more easily hurt — so be kind to yourself and others. Self-Care is key for the next two and a half days 😉
Emotional safety is important to us as well; we like connecting to the familiar and we enjoy nurturing ourselves and others — home and family call to us, for instance. Make sure though, that your glass is filled before letting others drink from it, or you might start to feel drained and resentful.
Sunday night/Monday very early morning, we are invited to balance our need for self-care and emotional connection, against long-term thinking and strategizing to achieve our goals.(Moon in Cancer opposes Mercury in Capricorn, exact at 1:25am EST)
Monday early morning brings an opportunity to connect to family (or friends that feel like family) and create breakthroughs around things that we enjoy through our five senses (e.g. food). This may also be a good tim e to find a unique or global approach on financial matters that bring us a sense of emotional security. (Moon in Cancer sextiles Uranus in Taurus, exact at 3:17am EST)
Monday afternoon, a harmonious Mercury/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 3:18pm. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Saturday evening (Dec. 18th) on, and it will remain strong until, this Wednesday morning (Dec. 22nd). This aspect supports a connection between our higher mind and our day-to-day mind. We are able to receive inspiration from higher places and maybe even look into the future.
We are able to communicate our vision for a better future; insights arise from these communications. Original, creative insights and ideas can appear out of nowhere; as best as you can, stay open to these unique “downloads” — they might change how you see and proceed with life 😉
This is a good time to communicate online, engage in computer-related activities or scientific projects, and also for anything metaphysical. Group activities like Meetups are great things to be involved with right now — especially if they allow us to share our vision for a better financial future.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 8-14 degrees of Capricorn, Taurus, or Virgo? If so, you will feel especially blessed by this connection. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo, or Aquarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius)
Monday late evening, around 11pm EST, Mars in Sagittarius transits the degree of May 26th Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius-Gemini — and we may experience something that provides insight, most likely into our desire for freedom or adventure. We are invited to pay attention to how we act or react to certain things — and to demonstrate our passion for life and for living in ways that help us connect to others, rather than leaving us feeling superior to them.
Observe how this plays out for you today or tomorrow: Where (or with whom) are you looking to interact? What are you most aware of? You are invited to act to release any outdated beliefs or cultural conditioning. What might clear the way, so you can move forward powerfully, with an open mind and clear information?

Tuesday, Dec. 21st:
Tuesday, the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer until 4:54pm EST (see Monday morning for details).
Tuesday late morning, at 9:44am EST, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for a little over 7 hours until 4:54pm EST. Your instincts and need for safety are strongly engaged right now. Use this intuitive time to balance your need for something familiar against your need for worldly success and status. As best as you can, get in touch with what you truly want and need: Is it the world’s approval or an authentic emotional self-connection?
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Tuesday late morning until late afternoon ahead of time.
Also, Tuesday late morning, at 10:59am EST, the Sun changes signs from adventurous, optimistic, truth-seeking Sagittarius to practical, accomplishment-oriented, status-oriented Capricorn. This also marks the shortest day of the year (in the northern hemisphere) and the beginning of Winter — aka the Winter Solstice.
The Solstices are important turning points that take place twice a year: They are energetic gateways for the summer or winter season to come through. Solstice Points are thus extra-potent times to set intentions and take part in ceremonies.
The Sun will journey through this no-nonsense, practical sign until Jan. 19th, 2022. Capricorn is a feet-on-the-ground, eyes-on-the-prize sign. As the Sun travels through it, we take a realistic, grounded approach to life; we know how to do things, and how to get things done.
We have a stronger sense of society and its structure, and feel most secure when doing our part within that structure; as such, worldly recognition may take on more importance for us. Making plans for the future can be very effective right now. We are more risk-averse at this time but we are ready to work hard and focus on what is essential.
All this is especially true if you are a Leo or Capricorn Sun-sign or Rising-sign. As a Capricorn, you will feel a good dose of confidence and playfulness in the next four weeks; as a Leo, you are more cautious and practical than usual…working towards a realistic long-term goal might be just the thing for you to do.
Tuesday at 4:54pm EST, the Moon moves into fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until Friday very early morning. We may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising. We all love to be admired — or at the very least acknowledged — for our greatness 🙂
So hand out some compliments — let people know how proud you are of them, tell them how much you love them. Come from the heart in this and all other things… be honest and authentic, as best you can. Fun, games, and romance are a big part of this energy as well. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones.
If there are no “outer children” around, how about getting in touch with your “inner child” — it’s definitely easier for the next two-and-a-half days. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps and heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, you let out a tiny squeak, just thinking of it?
Wednesday, Dec. 22nd:
Wednesday, the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo all day (see Tuesday late afternoon for details).
Wednesday early morning, things flow nicely; we feel excited about new adventures. We have an opportunity to connect, explore, and become part of something exciting. (Moon in Leo trines Mars in Sagittarius, exact at 5:24am EST)
Wednesday morning, we feel excited about new healing modalities. There’s an opportunity here to be compassionate toward ourselves and others and for connecting to our inner child. As best as you can, have fun when connecting with others, bring a healing quality to the table by tapping into your inner joy, explore things on a holistic level, and take a risk. (Moon in Leo trines Chiron in Aries, exact at 9:34am EST)
Wednesday afternoon, we are being invited to focus on making realistic choices when it comes to connecting with others; do your best to be your most authentic, joyful Self when connecting with like-minded people. (Moon in Leo opposes Saturn in Aquarius, exact at 2:28pm EST)
Also, Wednesday afternoon, we may feel pulled in two quite different directions: On the one hand, we experience a need for connecting with our inner child-energy (creative self-expression and joy), on the other hand, we want to make space for pursuing our financial vision — and we also want to break free from outdated value systems.
As such, we may have to address what we value, both in others and in ourselves (which informs our self-worth); as best as you can, make adjustments and find creative solutions when it comes to these energies. (Moon in Leo squares Uranus in Taurus, exact at 2:50pm EST)
Thursday, Dec. 23rd:
Thursday, the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo all day (see Tuesday late afternoon for details). Today is filled with Quincunx aspects to the Moon; these aspects require a subtle but significant shift in how we perceive and do things, achieved via an inner adjustment on our part.
The best way to deal with Quincunxes is not to keep looking for the exact solution, but instead for ways to feel ok when things are not an exact match — in other words, when something creates inner discomfort… Awareness is key!
Thursday morning, we may want to have some fun, but may also need to tune in to our intuitive inner voice. What do you hear when you get really quiet? (Moon in Leo quincunxes Neptune in Pisces, exact at 9:12am EST)
Thursday evening feels a little uneasy. We need to develop inner awareness around our two seemingly opposite pulls: on the one hand, a strong desire to accomplish; on the other, our need for play and fun.
We are asked to bring awareness to whatever it is we feel most passionate about: Are we after laughter and joy? Or intense and authentic emotion? As best as you can, make adjustments as needed, and drop any self-judgment. (Moon in Leo quincunxes Pluto in Capricorn, exact at 7:07pm EST)
Also on Thursday evening: we still feel uneasy or awkward and need to make a choice. Making this choice demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: on the one hand, the need to have fun with others, and create something beautiful — and on the other, the desire to accomplish something out there in the real world, and to be responsible and self-reliant. (Moon in Leo quincunxes Venus in Capricorn, exact at 7:50pm EST)
Thursday night/Friday very early morning, at 1:39am EST, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), which lasts for almost 2 hours until 3:24am EST (Friday early morning). Use this intuitive time to choose clearly when it comes to expanding your perspective around a cause or like-minded people. Do your best to find a balance between your need for heartfelt, joyful self-expression in the here and now, and for moving into an intellectually stimulating and inspirational future.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday night until Friday early morning ahead of time.
Friday, Dec. 24th:
Friday, the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo until 3:24am EST (see Tuesday late afternoon for details).
Friday very early morning, the third Saturn/Uranus Square of the year becomes exact at 2:17am EST. We started to feel this aspect build from Sunday morning, Nov. 28th, 2021; it will remain strong until Monday evening, Jan. 17th, 2022. The first Square between these two planets was exact on Feb. 17th. The second Square was exact on Jun. 14th.
Think back to those times and ask yourself: What did I learn since January about myself, others, or society as a whole, in connection with spaciousness? How about when it comes to Freedom? Differences? Allowing myself to feel uncomfortable?
This aspect asks us to stretch a little or a lot (individually and collectively). We can’t expect much of anything during this time… expect the unexpected!
Future visions and humanitarian causes — especially those connected to like-minded people — are quite likely to experience disruption, calling for flexibility and creative solutions.
During this transit, we feel a great need to make progress, as we feel quite restless — maybe even anxious — but if we’re unclear on what is in our best interest, we might focus on things that don’t serve us in the long run.
This aspect tells us that if we redefine our need to fit in and belong, we can find a more authentic connection with our own values; we are also invited to stay detached in our social dealing with others — honoring our own individuality without making anyone else wrong for being different or “themselves”.
Ask yourself: Are other people’s choices and preferences really about me (in other words, do I need to take them personally)? Could I give the “choosing” of other people the space that it needs, so I can honor what’s important to me, without taking things personally?
Where is my mind focused? Could I place that focus on a sustainable future while honoring my body and preferences in the here and now?
What might become possible if I expressed myself fully, knowing that others may have a different opinion to me, and that’s ok? How might that impact my current communities (whether physical or online)?
Saturn in Aquarius wants us to focus on realistic progress with our technologies, inventions, and long-term visions for the collective. While Uranus in Taurus, on the other hand, prods us to get back to the basics — to what really matters, what is sustainable (for the whole planet), and what is best for all living beings.
Given this, ask yourself: What does my body require before I can think about connecting with others? Where am I feeling a need for more spaciousness? What does my physical reality require before I can think about what to create for the future?
Where do I need to “think out of the box”? Could I give myself permission to hold some space for things to reorganize themselves physically? How about mentally? Could I allow for this to happen slowly? Without needing to rush into anything? Without pushing others or myself?
Keep in mind that things sometimes need to break down in order for them to be reorganized in a more sustainable way. Individually, this can be related to the area of life in your birth chart that Saturn and Uranus are currently transiting through; collectively, it can show up in sudden shifts and changes in our social or financial structures (or in physical shifts in the Earth’s structure).
If you had to sum this year up with one word, “unexpected” would be a great one to pick — and as best as you can, embrace rather than fear this — see it as opening possibilities for tremendous progress, long-term changes in social interactions, and more beneficial relationships to the planet, and to our physical and material world.
Remember, this only feels uncomfortable because it’s new, different, unfamiliar. Could you allow yourself to be 5% more comfortable with being uncomfortable?
If you would like to learn how the Saturn/Uranus Squares in Aquarius/Taurus will impact you personally throughout 2021/22, feel free to watch my webinar on the subject — we looked at our own birth charts to see what the impact might be to us personally.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 8-14 degrees of Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, or Scorpio? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aquarius or Capricorn (the Saturn rules Capricorn; Uranus rules Aquarius).
Friday at 3:24am EST, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Sunday late morning; turning our focus toward the practical and wholesome. We are generous with our time/services and we love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world — things and knowledge we can apply and use.
Health might also come into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals.
Saturday, Dec. 25th:
Saturday, the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Friday very early morning for details).
Saturday early morning, a harmonious Mars/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 5:37am EST. We started to feel this aspect build from Monday evening on, and it will remain strong until next week, Wednesday evening (Dec. 29th). This gives us a chance to learn to accept our desire and anger as valid — so that when we express them, we do so naturally and confidently, without harming ourselves or others — simply allowing ourselves to feel anger and talk about it, just as we would about joy.
Ask yourself: What if I brought understanding and compassion to anger or assertiveness? What if my desires were valid? We may also find that a humorous or courageous approach can carry us through feelings of insecurity or shame. We’d like to go beyond what we already know to gain new perspectives, learn about a greater vision of the masculine nature, or simply bring healing where we believe it’s needed.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 5-12 degrees of Sagittarius, Aries, Leo? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. Or perhaps your Ascendant or Sun-sign is in Aries? If so, you are especially blessed by this aspect.
Saturday morning, a long-term Venus/Pluto alignment in almost 26 degrees of Capricorn becomes exact at 7:02am EST. We started to feel this aspect build from Dec. 3rd on already — due to Venus’ current Retrograde phase — and it will remain strong until next week, Sunday morning (Jan 2nd, 2022). This alignment brings out our passionate side. We uncompromisingly seek deep, totally authentic business connections with others.
Our instincts are very strong right now, our inner wolf is wide-awake, and we can sniff out any unclean intentions right away. As best as you can, be completely truthful about your motivations and needs – if you try to duck this, it could get ugly, since everyone knows what everyone else is up to anyway.
What if you took 100% responsibility for getting what you want and need? What is the highest path to achieve that? As best as you can, find creative solutions and remain flexible. And as always when Pluto is involved, choose the power of love over the power of fear — whenever possible.
Here are some questions you can ask yourself: What if I became 5% more aware of my personal power? Where might I have given it away to others? And how might I begin to reclaim it? Where do I still look outside of myself for permission or approval? For what’s “right” or “wrong”?
What fears or concerns do I need to let go of to have more of what I really want? Am I living my life from wanting to protect myself from long-term harm or worst-case scenarios? Or with an open heart, feeling empowered in my daily choices?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 22-29 degrees of Capricorn, Cancer, Aries, or Libra? If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra, or Scorpio (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Pluto rules Scorpio)
Sunday, Dec. 26th:
Sunday, the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo until 11:24am EST (see Friday very early morning for details).
Sunday very early morning, at 3:39am EST, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for almost 8 hours until 11:24am EST. Use this intuitive time to empower yourself and others around earthly issues and support each other in practical ways. Your attention to detail is enhanced; you might implement new health routines or other systems that support your long-term goals.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to make a plan for Sunday morning ahead of time.
Sunday at 11:24am EST, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Tuesday late afternoon. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.
We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time, and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. These next two days are a great time for mediation — but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might like.
We may also be able to see both sides of the equation so well that we can’t make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm — even if it’s “No” 😉 One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.
This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the last Quarter Moon (exact Sunday evening).
Sunday afternoon, an opportune Mercury/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 4:29pm EST. We started to feel this aspect build from Saturday morning on, and it will remain strong until next week, Monday night (Dec. 27th). This aspect gives us the opportunity to bring compassion and an intuitive approach to our thinking process. Having faith and connecting to our Higher Selves will be of service to us at this time. Any artistic or spiritual endeavors are likely to do well at this time. Music might help us with our thinking process and ability to get things done.
Let yourself be inspired! A book, a song, a movie, someone else’s words allow the Universe to speak to you. Open your mind to a higher vibration — and remember, opportunities are openings… they aren’t necessarily handed to us… we have to “take” them and make something of them.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 18-23 degrees of Capricorn, Pisces, Scorpio, or Taurus? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo, or Pisces (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Neptune rules Pisces).
Sunday evening, at 9:24pm EST, the last Quarter Moon in 5.5 degrees of Libra becomes exact. We started to feel this aspect build from the moment the Moon entered Libra Sunday late morning. The Moon in relationship-oriented, harmony-loving Libra makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in ambitious, goal-oriented Capricorn.
This may bring up some challenges. However, it also energizes us to look at what needs to be completed — and what needs to be changed. This Moon phase brings us closer to Jan 2nd, which will in turn bring us the New Moon in Capricorn.
With the last Quarter Moon, rather than starting major new projects, it serves us to take a look at what was started around the time of the last New Moon (which was also a Solar Eclipse) — in this case, around Dec. 4th. We now have about a week to make any adjustments to our Solar Eclipse Intentions — or even change directions — so what, if anything, needs last-minute adjustments? What did you discover since Dec. 4th? What did it mean for you?
As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up (whether internally or with others).
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 3-8 degrees of Libra, Capricorn, Aries, or Cancer? If so, you are more affected by this month’s last Quarter Moon. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer since the Sun rules Leo, and the Moon rules Cancer.
,
And…
A heads up for next Monday (Dec. 27th): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day. In the morning, the Moon in Libra opposes Chiron in Aries, at 2:39am EST; it sextiles Mars in Sagittarius, at 5:07am EST; it quincunxes Uranus in Taurus, at 7:13am EST; and finally, it trines Saturn in Aquarius, at 7:55am EST. More about all the details in next week’s forecast : )
