Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, February 1st:
Monday is a big day (astrologically speaking). The Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo. It will journey there until 6:25am EST.
Monday early morning, a challenging Sun/Mars aspect becomes exact at 5:34am EST. We started to feel this aspect from last week Monday evening (Jan. 25th) on; it will remain strong until this Sunday evening (Feb. 7th). This invites us to stretch ourselves and grow beyond what we know ourselves to be.
We might feel driven by a restless desire to do something; however, without a well-defined future vision, our impulsive actions could involve us in needless arguments, or have us spinning our wheels.
Our reactions might be defensive or competitive. We might not be willing to compromise or negotiate. However, energy output can go high if we choose to watch our body’s energy levels — in other words, if we take care of our body and pay attention to its needs.
Ask yourself: Am I exhausting myself? What is my mind telling me? If my body had its own voice, what might it say that it needs, right now? Could the next action I take come from a place of enjoyment?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 9-16 degrees of Aquarius, Taurus, Leo or Scorpio? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Aries (the Sun rules Leo; Mars is the ruler of Aries)
Monday at 6:10am EST, we enter a brief Moon VoC that will last for 15 minutes, until 6:25am EST. Use this brief intuitive time to gain clarity about what’s important to you. Take a moment for yourself, and ask: What works for me in my daily routines? What doesn’t? What do I see now, that I can easily implement in my business relationships, that I couldn’t see before?
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow.
Monday at 6:25am EST, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Wednesday morning. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.
We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time, and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. These next two days are a great time for mediation — but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might like.
We may also be able see both sides of the equation so well that we can’t make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm — even if it’s “No” 😉 One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.
Monday late morning, at 9:05am EST, Venus changes signs from productive, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn to freedom-oriented, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Feb. 25th. This requires that we provide more freedom in our relationships. Basically, we want to improve them, break away from what feels old or stale.
We want our intellectual qualities to be admired; we also want to connect to like-minded people that share our vision — so friendships and networking will be favored for the next 3.5 weeks. We may also consider unusual financial investments. This is a good time for financial undertakings involving the following areas: electronics, technology and the internet, metaphysics, the arts group activities.
Venus in Aquarius will also be in a mutual reception with Uranus in Taurus for the next 3.5 weeks. This means that they are in each other signs and support each other’s agenda. This provides an opportunity to bring a common vision and a more human approach to our interactions with others.

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aquarius? If so, this placement will bring extra love and beauty into your life. Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra? If so, you may feel the need for freedom or change in your relationships more strongly.
Tuesday, Feb. 2nd:
Tuesday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Monday morning for details).
Tuesday early morning, calls for some inner adjustments, as we feel uneasy or awkward, and need to make a choice. Making this choice demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: on the one hand, to pursue what we personally value most and take actions that are aligned with our talents — and on the other hand, the need to attend to our one-on-one relationships, and support others, perhaps collaborating with them.
Tuesday morning, starts out harmoniously; we feel an urge to make progress, and connect with others about our vision for the future.
Tuesday afternoon, we are invited to make some internal adjustments. We may want to connect with others, but may also need to tune in to our intuitive inner voice. What do you hear when you get really quiet?
Also, on Tuesday, Mercury resumes its normal pace through the sky, ending its station — but moving backward through the sky, as seen from Earth (that’s what “retrograde” refers to). If any thinking and/or communication issues have come up around future visions, group affiliations, or collaborations since Jan. 26th, we will now have a chance to do some internal work on those issues. We are also invited to investigate anything that connects us to like-minded people (online or in-person).

Wednesday, Feb. 3rd:
Wednesday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra until 9:15am EST (see Monday morning for details).
Wednesday very early morning, at 1:15am EST, we enter a Moon VoC that will last 8 hours, until 9:15am EST. If you are awake during this intuitive time, use it to make progress, and connect with others about your vision for the future.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Wednesday morning ahead of time.
Wednesday at 9:15am EST, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Friday early afternoon. We feel things deeply and have “X-Ray Vision” and “Bullshit-Smelling Abilities” 😉
Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us at this time; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as flat-out dishonest. Once we feel safe trusting someone, we want to merge with them, preferably forever… as long as our trust is never betrayed.
The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. This occurs by a process of subtraction — it urges us to let go of whatever disempowers us. It’s therefore an excellent time to look at “old” fears, limiting habits or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.
Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity — it’s “in or out”, “with us or against us”, “love me or leave me”. It can therefore be stormy — a cold winter storm, or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we “work” the energies 🙂
Manipulation and paranoia are the lower vibrations of this aspect, so as best you can, be straightforward — act in good faith and assume it in others. Best of all, be truly present to the fluctuations of your feelings — no matter if they’re “polite” or “timely”. Feelings aren’t facts, but they are information — and heeding them will help you embrace all of who you are.
Know thyself — and love thyself — you shall be set free. Remember: Love connects us to the Power within; Fear causes “Force” to show up — and that’s ultimately what disempowers us and others. This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the last Quarter Moon (which will be exact Thursday early afternoon — more about that tomorrow).
Thursday, Feb. 4th:
Thursday, the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Wednesday late morning for details).
Thursday early morning: we feel a desire for a wider exploration of our various communities or networks (online or in-person), but we also have a need for deep, authentic — even intimate — connections to others. As best as you can, get creative!
Thursday late morning, we are invited to examine our relationship to money, power, and resources (personal and shared). Ask yourself: How can I balance my need for a deeper, more empowered experience with others, against my desire to honor my personal values and pursue my physical/material needs?
Thursday early afternoon, at 12:37pm EST, the last Quarter Moon in 16 degrees of Scorpio will be exact. The Moon in deep-feeling Scorpio is making a challenging aspect to the Sun in emotionally detached Aquarius. This may bring up some challenges. However, it also energizes us to look at what needs to be completed — and what needs to be changed.
This Moon phase brings us closer to Feb. 11th, which will bring the New Moon in Aquarius. During the last Quarter Moon, we are better served by reviewing those projects we began around the last New Moon — in this case, that would be Jan. 13th — as opposed to launching new ones. Out of those projects, what needs last-minute adjustments? What did you discover since then? What did it mean for you?
As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up (whether internally, or with others).
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 14-18 degrees of Scorpio, Aquarius, Leo, or Taurus? If so, you are more affected by this month’s last Quarter Moon. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer, since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer.
Thursday early evening, we are likely to experience a sense of ease and flow, but may need to slow down and allow our feelings to come through. A gentle approach is best. We feel good when coming from the heart and making deeper connections with others. Being open to receiving, trusting the process and going with the flow are key!
Friday, Feb. 5th:
Friday, the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio until 12:16pm EST (see Wednesday late morning for details).
Friday at 4:20am EST, we enter a Moon VoC that will last almost 8 hours, until 12:16pm EST. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to focus on inner processes. As best as you can, release any fears or traumas that keep you stuck in the past, and deepen your connection to what you feel deeply passionate about out there in the world — you have an opportunity to become fully committed to a project or task now — something that might serve you long-term.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Friday early morning until the early afternoon ahead of time.
Friday at 12:16pm EST, the Moon moves into adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, where it will journey until Sunday afternoon. We’re strongly motivated to explore and learn. We’re not likely to be big fans of routine — diversity and new adventures work best at this time — we’re also physically restless and need to burn that off with activity and physical exercise.
We tend to feel more open, optimistic and inspired — but we also have a high degree of independence — and taking these two influences together, this means we’d rather inspire others to do things our way, as opposed to issuing or obeying orders. Inspiring others could come easier than normal, as we can see the bigger picture, leaving us confident that others will agree with us, once they see what we see.
As best as you can, speak your truth without assuming that everyone is on the same page as you. Improvisation works well for us at this time, as we are spontaneous and love living on the edge — just watch out you aren’t overdoing or overstating things.
Saturday, Feb. 6th:
Saturday, the Moon remains in adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Friday early afternoon for details).
Saturday very early morning, a Venus/Saturn alignment in almost 6 degrees of Aquarius becomes exact at 2:07am EST. We started to feel this aspect from this Wednesday afternoon (Feb. 3rd) on; it will remain strong until next week Monday evening (Feb. 8th). This alignment brings a sense of maturity and commitment to our relationships or communities and the things we most value. Relationships feel stable and steady, although feelings are expressed reservedly, formally, or sparingly.
We experience a new sense of realism in existing collaborations. A sense of duty may lead us to sacrifice a personal pleasure to a “cause” or long-term goal.
We are ready to face any problems in relationships that have been swept under the carpet — and they will likely surface. Renewed ties to old friends, business collaborators, or group affiliations are possible — as is a new sense of responsibility in existing relationships. This is not the best time to get involved in a brand-new relationship, collaboration, group, or “good cause”.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or personal planets in 3-9 degrees of Aquarius,Taurus, Leo or Scorpio? If so, you will feel the effects of this aspect more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Capricorn (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)
Saturday morning, an opportune Venus/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 6:43am EST. We started to feel this aspect from this Thursday evening on; it will be strong until next week Monday evening (Feb. 8th). It’s an opportunity to bring healing to our wounds around relationships or our sense of self-worth.
We get a chance to love ourselves and heal deep fears of not being “good enough”. Healing happens much faster when we can open to forgiving ourselves and others. As best as you can, bring compassion and understanding to yourself, to others, and to those past experiences that wounded you.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 4-8 degrees of Aquarius, Aries, Gemini, Sagittarius? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra).
Saturday late evening, a challenging Venus/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 10:33pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday evening on; it will remain strong until next week, Tuesday morning (Feb. 9th). This “stretch aspect” asks us to grow beyond what we know and have experienced in the past in regards to our relationships, especially our group affiliations and networks of like-minded people.
Priorities may shift. We may experience clashes of taste or values within our networks; as you can imagine, we may feel some instability or restlessness in connection to others. We may also struggle with freedom versus material safety — the latter manifesting as fears around financial goals.
As best as you can, take a deep breath and hold off on decision-making with regards to finances — in particular, it is best to avoid impulse buys at this time.
In general, expect the unexpected: Things may take a different turn when it comes to the truly important. Keep your mind and heart open: if something demands elimination or change, it was waiting for that shift to happen anyway. As best as you can, find creative solutions and stay flexible and adaptable. This is not the best time to take things too personally (but then again, is there ever a good time for that? 🙂
Let me also mention here that Uranus in Taurus is in a mutual reception with Venus in Aquarius (in other words, they are in each other’s signs and support each other’s agenda). This provides an opportunity to bring a common vision and a more human approach to our interactions with others.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 4-10 degrees of Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, or Scorpio ? If so, you may be more affected by this aspect. The same is true for those with their Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Aquarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Uranus rules Aquarius)
Sunday, Feb. 7th:
Sunday, the Moon remains in adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius until 3:52pm EST (see Friday early afternoon for details).
Sunday very early morning, at 1:16am EST, we enter a Moon VoC that will last a little over 14.5 hours, until 3:52pm EST. If you are awake during this intuitive time, use it as an opportunity to connect and collaborate with like-minded people, have an adventure, or simply do something that gets you excited about the future.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday very early morning until the late afternoon ahead of time.
Sunday at 3:52pm EST, the Moon moves into practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until next week Tuesday late evening (Feb. 9th). We tend to be more realistic, serious, cautious; this can support practical endeavors and financial matters.
Our ambition surges and brings with it a need for structure and planning; when you add in the pragmatism this aspect supports, you can see how this could be a very productive time for business and long-term goals. Our reputation becomes very important to us.
As best as you can during this aspect, avoid “should-ing” on yourself. Take the pressure off, perhaps by saying “I am doing the best I can and that’s all I can ever do” 😉
Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn — and is transiting through Aquarius, making this a great time to take a look at our visions for humanity, and at anything we would like to accomplish long-term within our communities (locally or online).
It’s also a great time to take a more serious look at our various networks and connections to like-minded people; as best as you can, be authentic about your affiliations: Do they truly resonate with your personal vision for the future — as it stands now, rather than what it was 5 or 10 years ago?
Does participation in those groups or networks align with who you are now, and with where you see yourself 5 years from now? What do you truly want to commit yourself to?
Also on Sunday, around 11:55pm EST, the Balsamic Moon phase begins when the Moon reaches 4.5 degrees of Capricorn. This lasts until next week, Thursday afternoon (Feb. 11th), when the New Moon in Aquarius becomes exact (more on that next week…however, feel free to watch my video on the subject — will be posted by Friday, Feb. 5th).
We are being asked to slow down and get quiet, so we can listen to our intuition. For some of us, this might be a stretch. As best as you can: stay grounded, take a deep breath and exhale any tensions. Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing existing projects or processes.
This is also a great time for letting go of whatever no longer serves us. What if you could hear the voice of your inner wisdom? What might it be saying?
And…
A heads up for next Monday (Feb. 8th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day (see Sunday afternoon – Feb. 7th – for more details). The Moon in Capricorn squares Chiron in Aries, exact at 2:39am EST; it trines Uranus in Taurus, exact at 4am EST; and it trines Mars in Taurus, exact at 9:21pm EST. In the morning, a Sun/Mercury alignment in almost 20.5 degrees of Aquarius becomes exact at 8:48am EST; we started to feel this aspect from Feb. 7th on; it will remain strong until Feb. 9th. More about all the details in next week’s forecast. 🙂
