Inspired Action — Forecast for Feb. 8th – 14th
This week’s headline items: the Balsamic Moon phase will stay in effect until Thursday; the New Moon in Aquarius becomes exact on Thursday afternoon — and there will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday early afternoon (for almost 8 hours), Thursday afternoon (a little over 12 hours), and Sunday very early morning (just over 14 hours).
Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, Feb. 8th:
Monday, the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day. It will journey there until Tuesday evening. We tend to be more realistic, serious, cautious; this can support practical endeavors and financial matters.
Our ambition surges and brings with it a need for structure and planning; when you add in the pragmatism this aspect supports, you can see how this could be a very productive time for business and long-term goals. Our reputation becomes very important to us.
As best as you can during this aspect, avoid “should-ing” on yourself. Take the pressure off, perhaps by saying “I am doing the best I can and that’s all I can ever do” 😉
Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn — and is transiting through Aquarius, making this a great time to take a look at our visions for humanity, and at anything we would like to accomplish long-term within our communities (locally or online).
It’s also a great time to take a more serious look at our various networks and connections to like-minded people; as best as you can, be authentic about your affiliations: Do they truly resonate with your personal vision for the future — as it stands now, rather than what it was 5 or 10 years ago?
Does participation in those groups or networks align with who you are now, and with where you see yourself 5 years from now? What do you truly want to commit yourself to?
Monday morning, a Sun/Mercury alignment in almost 20.5 degrees of Aquarius becomes exact at 8:48am EST. We started to feel this aspect from last week Sunday (Feb. 7th) on; it will remain strong until Tuesday evening. This aspect indicates a confident mind and an analytical approach to life. Intelligence and communication abilities are strong at this time; however, we may not listen as well as the other speaks — we might be too busy thinking about what to say next.
Given that this alignment takes place in Aquarius, we may feel particularly cool and collected, detached even — do your best to avoid arrogance or rigidity of thought.
We want an active role in communications — it’s very hard for us to passively listen and absorb information right now. What we say or write now is impactful, so choose your words wisely: If people hung on your every word, what would you say then? What would you hold back from saying?
Our opinions are strong and our thinking independent — and we’re proud of both — so our egos may get bruised if we don’t feel “heard”. As best as you can, express yourself fully, knowing that others may have a different opinion and that’s ok.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 17-24 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus or Scorpio? If so, you will be more affected by this alignment. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo, Gemini or Virgo (the Sun rules Leo; Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo)
Monday late evening, those of us who are still awake are invited to enjoy the next four hours of physical stamina — I recommend you use it to…

Monday late evening, those of us who are still awake are invited to enjoy the next four hours of physical stamina — I recommend you use it to slowly move things forward, one step at a time, and enjoy your accomplishments.
Tuesday, Feb. 9th:
Tuesday, the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn until 8:20pm EST (see Monday morning for details).
Tuesday morning, a long-term, opportune Saturn/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 5:59am EST. We started to feel this aspect from Jan. 15th on; it will remain strong until March 18th. This aspect gives us an opportunity to bring a greater focus and commitment to our individual and collective healing process.
If we are now able to take responsibility, we can perhaps come to see the reality of the “masculine wounding” we carry — and also what we identify with, when it comes to our various “personas”. Seeing more clearly what is real — and what isn’t — makes it easier to process and heal. Compassion and commitment towards ourselves is key. That said, our experiences and interactions with others can be profound teachers at this time, if we let them.
If we are willing to face up to our responsibilities, follow the rules, and have humility, we can gain a greater sense of who we are in relationship to others and in the world. Another major theme of this aspect: learning to let go of regrets.
This combo also presents an opportunity to connect with others, and engage in a healing process that can bring progress in our various communities, maybe even world-wide. We are more powerful than we realize, especially when we come together.
If you can, journal on these questions, and share your answers with those like-minded people in your various communities:
What roles that I identify with need my love and understanding? What if my personal limitations were my main drivers for taking creative or unusual approaches? Could I allow myself and others to be human? What if taking a compassionate approach towards myself and others actually made for more fulfilling connections? What has been my experience with all of this so far and where could I gain through learning more?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 4-8 degrees of Aquarius, Aries, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Capricorn (Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)
Tuesday at 12:22pm EST, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for almost 8 hours, until 8:20pm EST. Use this intuitive time to focus on long-term successes. We might get a little obsessed with a project or task — as best as you can, take breaks and don’t forget to practice a little self-care 😉
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday early afternoon until the evening ahead of time.
Tuesday at 8:20pm EST, the Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Friday very early morning. The energy of the Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional; interactions more impersonal than personal. We are likely to have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.
Social gatherings, anything connected with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas and methods, progress: all these are promoted during the time the Moon moves through Aquarius. Again: we have our eyes on the future — or on outer space 🙂 Personal freedom becomes paramount. This Moon placement start the build up towards the New Moon (exact Thursday afternoon).
Wednesday, Feb. 10th:
Wednesday, the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day (see Tuesday evening for details).
Wednesday morning, a challenging Mercury/Mars aspect becomes exact at 7:16am EST. We started to feel this aspect build from Monday afternoon on, it will remain strong until Thursday afternoon. Due to Mercury’s Retrograde phase, this is the second of three aspects it has made to Mars within the last four weeks — think back to Jan. 8th: What may need to be readdressed from that day?
This aspect brings some juicy energy to our conversations. This is a chance to have some discussions that have been overdue. As best as you can, make it a productive discussion that serves you and others — a win-win — otherwise you might feel really awful afterwards.
In general, taking things personally might not serve at this time. Also, watch out on the roads for crazy or stubborn drivers — and remember that rushing might not necessarily get us there faster 😉
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 14-21 degrees of Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, or Scorpio? If so, you may feel more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Aries (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Mars rules Aries)
Wednesday late morning, we may feel pulled in two quite different directions: On the one hand, we experience a need for connecting with like-minded people and remaining objective; on the other hand, we want to make space for pursuing our financial vision — and we also want to break free from outdated value systems.
As such, we may have to address what we value in both in others, and in ourselves (which informs our self-worth); as best as you can, make adjustments and find creative solutions when it comes to these energies.
Wednesday late afternoon, connect with others, and share your vision for the future. Could you permit yourself to get in touch with your unique spark — and appreciate your inner genius?
Wednesday early evening: we are invited to connect with like-minded people in an expansive fashion; as best as you can, make sharing and connecting an adventure! Explore your beliefs in connection with humanity’s future and look for a vision from a larger vantage point.
Thursday, Feb. 11th:
Thursday, the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day (see Tuesday evening for details).
Thursday late morning, a Venus/Jupiter alignment in almost 12.5 degrees of Aquarius becomes exact at 10:00am EST. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday morning on; it will remain strong until Sunday afternoon. This connection brings a certain optimism to social and personal relationships, together with a tremendous desire for mental or spiritual exploration and adventure.
Humor plays a big role in our interactions with others, as do tolerance, open-mindedness and enthusiasm.
Financially speaking, things are “trending up”; we may be able to plump up our pocketbooks. The best areas for investment include technology, Astrology, the internet, anything to do with networking, and anything that requires the big-picture view or a new perspective around group consciousness.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 9-16 degrees of Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, or Scorpio? If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Sagittarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra, so those folks will always be affected more strongly by Venus’s movements and aspects, Jupiter rules Sagittarius)
Thursday early afternoon, at 2:06pm EST, the New Moon in 23 degrees of Aquarius becomes exact; this is the beginning of a new Moon cycle. I also recommend you watch my video on the subject.
This New Moon is unique in that there is a Stellium of planets in Aquarius — six planets total, to be exact. This highlights anything connected to group experiences — whether large or small, online or in-person, business or personal, spiritual or health-oriented, etc.
This Lunar cycle invites us to go out there and connect (or re-connect) with “our people”. A tribe that resonates, a cause that feels aligned with our principles or belief systems, a connection that serves a larger vision for the future, etc.
The highest and lightest vibration of Aquarius gives us the opportunity to see a clear vision for our life — and we are ready to make the relevant improvements.
Aquarius also deals with the power of ideals, technology, and inventions. We are now more interested than ever in the collective focus on changing group consciousness.
This is an opportunity for all of us to become more aware of our individual impact on the collective: We are all agents of change. Already. Always. That’s why we chose to be here at this time.
At its best, Aquarius stands for equality and diversity, innovation and reform, collaboration and community — we strive for progress. The challenge here is to unite and transcend differences of gender, race, and cultural or religious backgrounds, rather than separating from others, or ostracizing those who are different from us.

The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle. This is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact — and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.
So this month, the best time to set intentions (most potent) would be any time between 2:23am EST Friday very early morning and 2:06pm EST Saturday early afternoon.
At the moment the New Moon becomes exact, we also enter a 12-hour Moon void of course (VoC), which lasts until 2:23am EST, Friday (i.e. very early morning). Use this intuitive time to be still and go within. Visualize a future that makes the best of everything available to all living beings.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan your Thursday afternoon and evening ahead of time 😉
Friday, Feb. 12th:
Friday, the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius and VoC until 2:23am EST; at that time, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Sunday late morning.
The energy of the Pisces Moon bears on the need for connection to our higher selves. It can be a wistful, sensitive and compassionate time; we are especially imaginative, and our intuition reigns.
Boundaries and walls come down; we feel energetically connected to everything around us. As best as you can, therefore, be kind to yourself and others — surround yourself with loving energy. It’s a time best used for spiritual or creative endeavors and for dissolving our fears and doubts. Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them 😉
Friday after 2:23am EST, until tomorrow, Saturday at 2:07pm EST, it’s time to set your New Moon Intentions… If you’d like some input on how to do that, check out this article — to (re-)watch my New Moon video: click here
Friday afternoon, we get an opportunity to be very present, to connect with others and share a new vision about the Earth, or to reinvent how we connect with “the good things in life”.
As best as you can, bring a sense of flow and faith to who you are being; allow yourself to intuitively share some progressive, new ideas about what is important to you, and things that could make yours and other people’s life easier on a very practical level.
Saturday, Feb. 13th:
Saturday, the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Friday very early morning for details).
If you haven’t set your New Moon Intentions yet, Saturday until 2:07pm EST is still time to do so during the most potent time… If you’d like some input on how to do that, check out this article — to (re-)watch my New Moon video: click here.
Saturday very early morning, a Mercury/Venus alignment in almost 14 degrees of Aquarius becomes exact at 2:48am EST. We started feeling on Thursday evening; it will remain strong until Sunday evening. This is an excellent time to start sharing about art projects (or anything arts-related —visual arts perhaps) and any teaching endeavors. This alignment indicates an ability to communicate from the heart — and in fact, connecting to people we have an affinity with is essential.
We want to feel able to connect in a harmonious, peaceful manner and communicate on an equal footing. We tend to have a strong sense of fairness at this time, and want to be in touch with people who meet us half-way. In general, we are very agreeable and enjoy socializing. We also thoroughly enjoy the written and spoken word — literature, wordplay, puns, moving conversations — especially if the topics are connected to the exchange of information.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 11-17 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, or Scorpio? If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly; the same is true for those of us with our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Virgo, Gemini, Libra or Taurus (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra)
Saturday late evening, an opportune Mars/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 9:13pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from this Tuesday evening on, it will be strong until next week, Wednesday evening (Feb. 17th). This gives us the opportunity to take actions that are in alignment with our dreams and ideals. This is also an opportunity for boundaries to dissolve — to open and relax.
Creative or spiritual activities might be a good fit with this planetary connection. We may feel the need to daydream or inspire others. What might it mean, to take “inspired action”? What might show up in the world? What if you allowed the Universe to co-create with you?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 17-22 degrees of Taurus, Pisces, Capricorn or Cancer? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Pisces (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Neptune rules Pisces)
Sunday, Feb. 14th:
Sunday, the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces until 10:54am EST (see Friday very early morning for details).
Sunday at 2:29am EST, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for a little over 14 hours, until 10:54am EST. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to connect to your higher Self, and if possible, bring a sense of flow and faith to your long-term plans — especially those you feel really passionate about.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday very early morning until the late morning ahead of time.
Sunday at 10:54am EST, the Moon moves into pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until next week, Tuesday late evening (Feb. 16th). Life is an adventure, we’re more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately.
Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body’s excess energy.
Sunday late afternoon, a Mercury/Jupiter alignment in a little over 13 degrees of Aquarius becomes exact at 4:40pm EST. We started to feel this aspect build from this Friday afternoon on, it will remain strong until next week, Wednesday afternoon (Feb. 17th). Due to Mercury’s Retrograde phase, this is the second of three alignments it has made to Jupiter within the last five weeks — think back to Jan. 11th: What may need to be readdressed from that day?
This alignment brings optimism and a tendency to talk and think more. It favors exploring our visions for the future, submitting applications and forms, and test-taking.
We can more readily exercise good judgment, be more philosophical in our thinking, and bring wholeness and order to our communities and connections with like-minded people. There is a sense of mental expansion — we see our vision for humanity (or particular group causes) as a source of adventure and personal growth.
We are optimistic and enthusiastic, and things tend to go well as a result — it’s all about thinking big and innovating. What if expanding our concept of group consciousness, the collective, and “one for all and all for one” helped us be more peaceful and calm? What if that in turn helped us manifest our desires?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-16 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, or Scorpio? If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo, or Sagittarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo, so those folks will always be affected more strongly by Mercury’s movements and aspects; Jupiter rules Sagittarius)
And…
A heads up for next Monday (Feb. 15th): the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Sunday late morning for details- Feb. 14th). The Moon in Aries sextiles Saturn in Aquarius exact at 12:23am EST, it sextiles Mercury in Aquarius exact at 11:50am EST, it sextiles Jupiter in Aquarius exact at 1:22pm EST and it sextiles Venus in Aquarius exact at 10:40pm EST. Also, Monday, Mercury will start its Station phase again. More about all the details in next week’s forecast 🙂
