Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, January 13th:

Monday, the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo. It will journey there until 9:06am EST. We may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising. We all love to be admired — or at the very least acknowledged — for our greatness 🙂

So hand out some compliments — let people know how proud you are of them, tell them how much you love them. Come from the heart in this and all other things… be honest and authentic, as best you can. Fun, games and romance are a big part of this energy as well. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones. If there are no “outer children” around, how about getting in touch with your “inner child”.

Monday morning, a Sun/Pluto alignment in almost 23 degrees of Capricorn becomes exact at 8:21am EST. We started to feel this aspect from last week, Friday (Jan. 10th) on; it will remain strong until this week Thursday evening (Jan. 16th). This alignment asks of us that we reclaim our authority and make some fundamental changes in our world.

Some of the structures that we built in the past may no longer be solid; they must fall now, to be replaced with something that empowers us. It is necessary to redefine feminine and masculine “powers”. What do you need to acknowledge or embrace? What is rejected or ignored? If you truly had choice in the matter, what kind of future would you want to step into?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 20-26 degrees of Capricorn, Cancer, Aries or Libra? If so, you may be more affected by this alignment. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Scorpio (the Sun is the ruler of Leo; Pluto rules Scorpio)

Monday at 8:42am EST, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for a brief 24 minutes until 9:06am EST. Use this intuitive time to make clear choices when it comes to relating to others. Do your best to honor your own creative self-expression when connecting with like-minded people.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow.

Monday at 9:06am EST, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Wednesday late morning. We are generous with our time/services and we love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world — things and knowledge we can apply and use.

Health might come also into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals.

Monday late morning, a Sun/Saturn alignment in almost 23 degrees of Capricorn becomes exact at 10:15am EST. We started to feel this aspect from last week, Thursday night  (Jan. 9th) on; it will remain strong until this Thursday evening (Jan. 16th). This alignment brings a more serious tone to our commitments with our long-term goals — it’s a time when we are called upon to “get real”.

This is especially true for long-term projects that require diligence and self-discipline, but also applies to anything that requires consistency and a mature approach. We are motivated by the desire to manifest tangible results. We are able to focus and work hard right now, especially if we have a goal in mind, welcoming a sense of discipline, structure or order.

Recommended at this time: making new commitments to old goals, taking care of our responsibilities, making careful use of anything that’s within our control

Do you have your Ascendant, Career point (or any personal planets) in 20-26 degrees Capricorn, Cancer, Aries, or Libra? If so, you may feel the effects of this alignment more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Capricorn  (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn rules Capricorn)

Monday at 1:39pm EST, Venus changes signs from freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius to creative, sensitive Pisces, where she will journey until Feb. 7th. For the next three and a half weeks, we have a chance to connect to other people from our compassionate heart. We may also idealize our relationships a little — we’re feeling quite romantic, and hopeful that our dreams will be fulfilled.

With Venus in Pisces, our love is very accepting — it comes as close to “unconditional” as humans can get. One way this shows up: We root for the underdog. We prefer feeling things out to planning.

As you can imagine, we may spend our money on things that don’t make “sense” — but if we heed intuition and allow for money to flow freely, we may discover that the Universe is always taking care of us 😉

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Pisces? Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra? If so,…

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Pisces? If so, beauty and love will enhance your life for the next three-and-a-half weeks. Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra? You may feel a strong need for romance or unconditional love — or dream of the ideal relationship. Your finances and values may undergo the spiritual process of releasing control and trusting more to intuition and the flow of life.

Tuesday, Jan. 14th:

Tuesday, the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Monday morning for details).

Tuesday very early morning: if you are awake, this could be a great time to clarify what’s important to us. Ask yourself: What works for me in my daily routines? What doesn’t? What are my expectations or attitudes towards those things? What new vantage point might show me how to easily implement my business goals?

Tuesday early afternoon, we seek a balance between head and heart, facts and imagination, reason and intuition/compassion. That said, if you can achieve that balance, it’s a great day for being of service.

Tuesday late evening, we can potentially accomplish quite a bit: The Moon in Virgo makes a harmonious aspect to Pluto in Capricorn. Virgo and Capricorn are Earth signs, so getting down to business and focusing on the task at hand takes less effort than normal. Our increased ability to discern “what’s what” can support us when digging deeper into our motivations around long-term goals. We are able to tackle anything that requires attention to detail and maybe even implement health routines or other systems that support us long-term.

Also, Tuesday late evening, we are more capable than normal of looking at the details, and focusing on what’s sitting right in front of us that demands to be taken care of, so we can get to the next phase of accomplishment. We are invited to look at all the practical implications; we need to slow down and take our time if we are to manifest something that can stand the test of time — rushing things will most likely backfire right now.

Wednesday. Jan. 15th:

Wednesday, the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo until 10:43am EST (see Monday morning for details).

Wednesday at 7:12am EST, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for 3.5 hours until 10:43am EST. Use this intuitive time to gain clarity about what’s important to you. Ask yourself: What needs to be communicated, and/or organized differently, so my daily routines support my long-term goals? What do I know now, that I can easily implement in my business dealings, that I didn’t know before?

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Wednesday morning until the late morning ahead of time.

Wednesday at 10:43am EST, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Friday early afternoon. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.

We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time, and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. These next two days are a great time for mediation — but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might like.

We may also be able see both sides of the equation so well that we can’t make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm — even if it’s “No” 😉 One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts. This Moon placement starts the build up toward the last quarter Moon (exact on Friday morning).

Wednesday early evening, an opportune Venus/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 6:18pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Monday evening (Jan. 13th) on; it will remain strong until Friday morning (Jan. 17th). This gives us the opportunity to experiment with how we relate to others — to do something different or unusual — freedom plays a big part in this aspect.

Of course, others are experimenting too, so you might experience some unusual or unexpected interactions during this time — it’s a favorable time for social meetings and events — especially anything spiritual or creative in nature. As best as you can, stay open and flexible: fresh air is blowing through your relationships.

We’re also ready to experiment with our financial undertakings — good places to look: all things “tech” (electronics, technology, internet); metaphysics; the arts; group activities. This is not the best time to make long-term financial investments that are not suggested in an intuitive flash 😉

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 0-5 degrees of Pisces, Taurus, Cancer, or Capricorn? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Aquarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra, Uranus rules Aquarius).

Thursday, Jan. 16th:

Thursday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Wednesday late morning for details).

Thursday early morning, we are invited to make some adjustments in our lives and find creative solutions to seemingly unsolvable situations. As best as you can, look to expand your perspectives around any long-term goals your are currently pursuing, and find ways to create win-win outcomes for your various one-on-one relationships.

Thursday at 1:31pm EST, Mercury changes signs from practical, cautious, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn to freedom-loving, forward-thinking, objective Aquarius, where it will journey until Feb. 3rd. For the next 2.5 weeks, we tend to contradict others more quickly, and offer a different perspective. We enjoy intellectual debates. We are quicker and more alert; our powers of observation are particularly strong.

We have something interesting to say, and our perspective on issues can be delightfully unusual and surprisingly insightful. This makes for some great conversations. We are more attracted to scientific and/or metaphysical pursuits right now. Anything that promises progress and advancement for mankind has special appeal.

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo? If so, you will feel a greater need for focusing on your future and any humanitarian causes. Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aquarius? If so, you will most likely feel more chatty for the next 2.5 weeks.

Thursday afternoon, we are invited to make some internal adjustments. We may want to connect with others, but may also need to tune in to our intuitive inner voice. What do you hear when you get really quiet?

Friday, Jan. 17th:

Friday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra until 1:20pm EST (see Wednesday late morning for details).

Friday at 7:58am EST, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for almost 5.5 hours until 1:20pm EST. Use this intuitive time to make some adjustments in your life. As best as you can, find creative solutions to seemingly unsolvable situations.

Make space both for your one-on-one relationships, and for building your long-term goals one step at a time; as always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Friday morning until the early afternoon ahead of time.

Also, Friday morning, at 7:58am EST, the last Quarter Moon in almost 27 degrees of Libra becomes exact. We started to feel this aspect build from the moment the Moon entered Libra, on Wednesday late morning. The Moon in relationship-oriented, harmony-loving Libra makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in ambitious, goal-oriented Capricorn. This Moon phase brings us closer to Jan 24th, which will bring the New Moon in Aquarius, and ends Eclipse season.

During this last Quarter Moon, we are better served by reviewing relationships we began around the last Lunar Eclipse — in this case, that would be July 16th, 2019 — as opposed to starting new ones. Out of those relationships, what needs last-minute adjustments? What did you discover since that time? What did it mean for you? As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up, whether internally or with others.

As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up (whether internally or with others).

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 25-29 degrees of Libra, Capricorn, Aries or Cancer? If so, you are more affected by this month’s last Quarter Moon. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer, since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer.

Friday at 1:20pm EST, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Sunday early evening. We feel things deeply and have “X-Ray Vision” and “Bullshit-Smelling Abilities”.

Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us at this time; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as flat-out dishonest. Once we feel safe trusting someone, we want to merge with them, preferably forever… as long as our trust is never betrayed.

The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. This occurs by a process of subtraction — it urges us to let go of whatever disempowers us. It’s therefore an excellent time to look at “old” fears, limiting habits or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.

Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity — it’s “in or out”, “with us or against us”, “love me or leave me”. It can therefore be stormy — a cold winter storm, or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we “work” the energies 🙂

Manipulation and paranoia are the lower vibrations of this aspect, so as best you can, be straightforward — act in good faith and assume it in others. Best of all, be truly present to the fluctuations of your feelings — no matter if they’re “polite” or “timely”. Feelings aren’t facts, but they are information — and heeding them will help you embrace all of who you are.

Know thyself — and love thyself — you shall be set free. Remember: Love connects us to the Power within; Fear causes “Force” to show up — and that’s ultimately what disempowers us and others.

Friday early evening, an opportune Mercury/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 6:08pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday on; it will be strong until Sunday morning. We have an opportunity to bring healing energy to our concrete mind and to our thoughts. We also have a chance to heal insecurities in our verbal, in-person, social media or email interactions.

We are better able now to tune out that automatic/critical inner voice, in favor of more loving and compassionate structures for thinking and communicating. By bringing love and understanding to our thinking processes, we have a chance to move beyond entrenched habits, like “impatient self-talk”, or the use of aggressive language (swear words for example).

Here’s a few good “chew toys” for your mind at this time: What was your family’s attitude towards communication? Toward speaking up for yourself? What if you tried a kinder approach for a bit? Does your inner dialog really have to repeat what they said when you were 3 or 5 years old? What if you tried using a gentler voice for the next ten minutes or so?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 0-4 degrees of Aquarius, Aries, Gemini, or Sagittarius? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo).

Saturday, Jan. 18th:

Saturday, the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Friday early afternoon for details).

Saturday very early morning, a challenging Mercury/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 3:32am EST. We started to feel this aspect build from Thursday on, it will remain strong until Sunday night. This aspect creates some tension in our lives; we may feel anxious or stressed by a situation involving financial stability, group affiliations, or long-term visions.

We’ll likely want to think outside the box. We may also want to make some changes to a life situation or vision that no longer fits. Again: We are being called to play a bigger game and may feel overwhelmed by what it all means.

Our minds may prefer things to be cool and calm, detached and rational, but at the same time we feel a great desire for progress and breakthroughs. The tension between these two desires could leave us feeling irritable, mainly because we also tend to take things quite personally right now; the best way to manage this is to channel some of that nervous irritable energy into constructive pursuits.

Since there’s a tendency right now to challenge established thought, or play devil’s advocate, it also helps to get in touch with our inner truth. Use your breath to turn any fear into excitement — and let yourself visualize a bigger dream.

Expect the unexpected, plan on disruption, revelation and breakthroughs — during this transit, the best mind is an open mind. As best as you can, go with the flow, staying open to the new and unexpectedly different. Could you allow whatever is happening to stimulate new approaches?

As you can perhaps imagine, this is not a time to make major decisions, especially if they are hasty 😉 You can think of this as “reorganizing” time for the mind, like moving your furniture around.  If you feel yourself resisting the reshuffle, do your best to relax — and maybe even sit back and enjoy the show.

And as always, if all else fails, take it one moment at a time… Rather than jumping to conclusions, get grounded in the here and now — bringing awareness to your breath (or body) is a good way to do this.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in the following: 0-5 degrees of  Aquarius, Taurus, LeoScorpio, or 29 degrees of Capricorn, Aries, Cancer, or Libra? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo, or Aquarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; and Uranus rules Aquarius).

Saturday morning: we feel good about making deeper connections and may have an opportunity to explore our long-term goals from a new perspective. As best as you can, release any fears or traumas that keep you stuck in the past, and instead widen your viewpoint and deepen your connection to whatever you feel deeply passionate about (for the long-term)

Saturday early evening, we are likely to experience a sense of ease and flow, but may need to slow down and allow our feelings to come through. A gentle approach is best. We feel good when coming from the heart and making deeper connections with others. Being open to receiving, trusting the process and going with the flow are key!

Sunday, Jan. 19th:

Sunday, the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, until 5:41pm EST (see Friday early afternoon for details).

Sunday early morning, we feel good about making deeper connections; we’ll have an opportunity to become fully committed to a project or task, something that might serve us long-term.

Sunday morning, we get an opportunity to dig deeper — and also to focus on practicalities and long-term plans. As best as you can, bring a sense of empowerment and focus to your business dealings, release any fears or traumas that keep you stuck in the past, and deepen your connection to what you feel deeply passionate about.

Sunday at 4:22pm EST, we enter a brief Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for a little over 1 hour until 5:41pm EST. This intuitive time provides an opportunity to look at your ability to go deeper within your intimate relationships and financial partnerships; it’s also a good time to get in touch with your power to transform old behaviors and fears, and bring those abilities to your long-term commitments.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday late afternoon ahead of time.

Sunday at 5:41pm EST, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, where it will journey until next week, Tuesday night. New experiences and adventures satisfy a deep emotional need. The Sagittarius Moon persuades us to come from intuition and think in a broader manner.

We seek meaning and ideas that expand upon the “here and now”; we pursue truth and a new vision — the big picture, rather than the details. Spontaneity is key, we’d rather improvise than plan; this may tip into just “winging it”. We could also overdo or overstate.

Sunday late evening, we might find ourselves wanting to explore a new healing modality for body, mind, and heart, aimed at a renewing our enthusiasm for life. We are capable of being compassionate and forgiving with ourselves at this time — and a gentle and holistic approach is best.

Also, Sunday late evening, we experience a need for inner adjustments. We feel uneasy or awkward and need to make a choice. Making this choice demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: on the one hand, the desire to mentally explore and go beyond what we already know — and on the other hand, the need for breakthroughs or change connected to the physical plane.

We need to ask ourselves here: What might become possible if I got 5% more comfortable with being uncomfortable? Or 5% more comfortable embracing uncertainty?

And…

A heads up for next Monday (Jan. 20th): the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Sunday early evening-Jan. 19th for details). In the late morning, at 9:55am EST, the Sun changes signs from Capricorn to Aquarius, where it will journey until Feb. 18th. At 11:46pm EST, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for a little over 24 hours until 12:00am EST Tuesday night/Wednesday very early morning. More about all the details in next week’s forecast 🙂
