Feeling Triggered? — Forecast for July 13th – 19th
This week’s headline items: the Balsamic Moon phase begins on Thursday evening; Mercury’s station ends on Friday; Sunday is the last day before the New Moon becomes exact and Eclipse season ends.
There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday very late morning (lasts a little over 1.5 hours); Wednesday late evening (2 hours); and Friday early evening (just over 17 hours).
Before we get to this week’s forecast, I’d like to mention:

Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, July 13th:
Monday, the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries. It will journey there until 1:34pm EDT. Life is an adventure, we’re more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately.
Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body’s excess energy.
Monday very early morning, we are invited to make adjustments and find creative solutions around personal desires and needs, versus our deep passion and focus on long-term goals. As best as you can, allow yourself to make space for both; flexibility and adaptability are key if we mean to move forward with our plans and projects…
Monday at 11:54am EDT, we enter a short Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for a little over 1.5 hours until 1:34pm EDT. Do your best to use this intuitive time to make some adjustments in your life and find creative solutions to seemingly unsolvable situations.
Make space both for building solid foundations under any long-term goals currently underway, and for personal desires and needs. Ask yourself: What long-run benefits might I reap by taking it one step at a time? And (perhaps contrary to that) what does my inner teenager require to be happy at this time?
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday late morning until the early afternoon ahead of time.
Monday at 1:34pm EDT, the Moon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will journey until Thursday very early morning. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well. In other words: change is not our favorite thing and “rushing things” goes against our grain.
What is our favorite thing for the next two days? It’s probably,…

It’s probably, slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses 😉
Tuesday, July 14th:
Tuesday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Monday early afternoon for details).
Tuesday early morning, a Sun/Jupiter opposition becomes exact at 3:58am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last week Saturday morning (July 10th) on; and it will remain strong until this Thursday evening. This aspect can bring an opportunity to open up our consciousness through other people. As best as you can, expand your perspectives about life, relationships and enjoy the optimism.
The urge to grow and expand is strong, but we might overreach — and hasty actions could backfire. As best as you can, don’t expect too much from others or yourself; avoid over-promising, and slow down whenever you can. Also, use humor 🙂
Projects or ambitions may come to a culmination point, or undergo surprising changes; ask yourself: What insights am I receiving? Where can I go from here? What if I slowed down, just for a moment? What’s the bigger picture in all of this?
Think back to Dec. 27th, 2019, when the Sun last aligned (conjunct) with Jupiter in Capricorn, and ask yourself: What was started then? What seeds did I plant related to my long-term goals or expanding my perspective about my social standing or achievements? Have those seeds sprouted since then? What’s my attitude now? What still needs to change?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or any personal planets in 19-25 degrees of Cancer, Capricorn, Aries, or Libra ? If so, you may feel more affected by this opposition. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Sagittarius (the Sun rules Leo; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).
Also, Tuesday early morning, a Mars/Chiron alignment in 9.5 degrees of Aries becomes exact at 5:07am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last week Wednesday evening (July 8th) on; and it will remain strong until this Sunday evening. This connection brings physical, emotional and spiritual healing to our bodies.
Seeking out energy healing or any other alternative forms of healing is going to be very beneficial, both to our emotional/spiritual “bodies” and physical bodies. We may also find that yoga or some form of martial arts could aid in our physical or emotional healing process.
This is also a great time to accept the validity of our own desires and feelings of anger; that way, when we do express them, we express them naturally and with confidence. Something may come along, related to a childhood wound, that we take personally; we may get triggered by this. Rather than suppressing your anger, as best as you can, allow yourself to feel it consciously; bring love and understanding to its origin.
Ask yourself: What if I became 5% more conscious of anything connected to a childhood wound that feels triggering to me? What might be possible if I practiced being kind with myself around those triggers?
We may also have a restless mind and feel impatient, become demanding, or hard to please; we tend to feel like we are not enough, that progress is too slow, and we are tired of waiting.
Ask yourself: Am I moving toward or away from exhaustion? What might shift if my masculine “doing-energy” stood in service to my intuitive, receptive feminine? What might a holistic approach make possible?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 6-13 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn? If so, you will be more affected by this alignment. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries (Mars is the ruler of Aries, so those of us with these placements will always be affected more strongly by Mars’s movements and aspects than others).
Wednesday, July 15th:
Wednesday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Monday early afternoon for details).
Wednesday afternoon, a Sun/Pluto opposition becomes exact at 3:13pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Sunday morning (July 12th) on; and it will remain strong until this Saturday evening. This opposition is all about “empowerment versus disempowerment”. On an interpersonal level, we may try to gain more control over other people, and vice versa. A balance needs to be struck between family/home and work/career issues.
This transit will test our ambitions: How well have we planned? How hard have we worked? How efficient have we become? Our energy is high now, and it needs to be directed into constructive channels, rather than in reckless rebellion.
If you are in a position of authority, don’t expect others to keep up with your fast pace: We may feel like driving ourselves past the breaking point, but employees or co-workers will likely rebel if we push them.
That said, we can use this time to gain control over our own actions; the challenge here is to understand why we do something in a particular way, rather than simply repressing traits we don’t like. We are called to bring hidden facets of our character to the surface, so we can examine and understand them, then make appropriate changes.
If you find yourself wanting to be “aggressive”, shoot for “assertive” instead; the first comes from fear, the second from love. And as always — as best as you can — choose love rather than fear, no matter the situation.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 21-27 degrees of Cancer, Capricorn, Aries or Libra? If so, you may be more affected by this opposition. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Scorpio (the Sun is the ruler of Leo; Pluto rules Scorpio)
Wednesday at 11:21pm EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for 2 hours until 1:19am EDT (Thursday very early morning). If you are still awake during this intuitive time, slow down a little and focus on what’s sitting right in front of you that needs to be taken care of, so you can get to the next phase of accomplishment. Rushing will backfire right now.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Wednesday late evening until Thursday very early morning ahead of time.
Thursday, July 16th:
Thursday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus and VoC until 1:19am EDT; at that time, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Saturday late morning. For the next two days, we like to learn, connect and interact as much as possible. “Busy” feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way…
The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead 🙂
Thursday evening, consider connecting with others, socializing, and taking a compassionate approach toward yourself and others, especially when it comes to personal goals and passions. Ask yourself: what if taking a compassionate approach towards myself and others actually made for more fulfilling connections?
Thursday around 8:30pm EDT, the Balsamic Moon phase begins when the Moon reaches almost 10º of Gemini. This lasts until Monday afternoon, when the New Moon becomes exact (more on that next week…however, feel free to watch my video on the subject, will be posted by Wednesday, July 15th).
We are being asked to slow down and get quiet, so we can listen to our inner sensing/intuition. For some of us, this might be a stretch. As best as you can: stay grounded, take a deep breath and exhale any tensions. Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing existing projects or processes.
This is also a great time for letting go of whatever no longer serves us. What if you could hear the voice of your inner wisdom? What might it be saying?
Thursday late evening: we feel an opportunity to move things forward for ourselves, especially anything connected to personal goals or projects.
Friday, July 17th:
Friday, the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini all day (see Thursday very early morning for details).
Friday at 5:14pm EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for over a little over 17 hours until 10:24am EDT (Saturday late morning). Use this intuitive time to make some adjustments — and to do a little stretching and growing, when it comes to your inner or emotional experiences. As best as you can, be gentle with yourself and others, seek to understand before seeking to be understood.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Friday late afternoon until Saturday late morning ahead of time.
Also, on Friday, Mercury resumes its normal pace through the sky, ending its station. Communication and transportation is now back to “normal” as are any associated gadgets, vehicles, etc. New ideas and information received during the Mercury Retrograde phase (June 18th – July 12th) can now be reviewed.
What did you discover with regards to your inner dialogue about “your past”? Your “inner baby”? Giving & receiving? Family? Your home (metaphorically and literally)?
Saturday, July 18th:
Saturday, the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini and VoC until 10:24am EDT (see Friday early evening).
Saturday morning, we may experience some internal discomfort and need to make some inner adjustments. We feel nudged toward being responsible and building something that will last long-term — even if that means slowing down and taking it on step at a time.
Saturday at 10:24am EDT, the Moon moves into protective, nurturing Cancer, where it will journey until Monday late afternoon (July 20th). With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say and therefore our feelings are more easily hurt — so be kind to yourself and others. Self-Care is key for the next two days 😉
Emotional safety is important to us as well; we like connecting to the familiar and we enjoy nurturing ourselves and others — home and family call to us, for instance. Make sure though, that your glass is filled before letting others drink from it, otherwise you might start to feel drained and resentful.
Saturday night/Sunday very early morning, if you are awake during this time, it is a wonderful time to connect with family or friends who feel like family. Ask yourself: Could I permit myself to receive love — and communicate my needs?
Sunday, July 19th:
Sunday, the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day (see Saturday later morning for details).
Sunday very early morning, we are invited to make adjustments and (as best as we can) find creative solutions to seemingly insoluble situations. Make space both for healing around anger or self-identity and for taking care of emotional or family issues.
Sunday early morning, brings an opportunity to connect to family (or friends that feel like family) and create breakthroughs around things that we enjoy through our five senses (e.g. food). This may also be a good time to find a unique or global approach on financial matters that bring us a sense of emotional security.
Sunday morning, we are invited to make adjustments and find creative solutions to seemingly insoluble situations. Make space both for personal projects that you feel passionate about and for emotional or family issues.
Sunday, is also the last day before the New Moon in Cancer becomes exact, and before Eclipses Season finally ends. This is a great day to let go of what no longer serves us. As best as you can, avoid jumping the gun: Rather than launching into brand-new endeavors or connections, wait until a couple of days has passed after the New Moon (click here to watch my New Moon video).
Some of us might feel a little anxious or nervous today: As best as you can, get quiet and go within… Listen to the silence between the sounds… Find peace in the connection with your innermost and truest Self.
And…
A heads up for Monday (July 20th): the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer until 4:16pm EDT. At 1:33pm EDT, Eclipse season ends on Monday when the New Moon in Cancer becomes exact. At 1:55pm EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for almost 2.5 hours until 4:16pm EDT; at that time the Moon moves into fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until Wednesday evening (July 22nd). More about all the details in next week’s forecast : )
