Reclaiming Ourselves — Forecast for July 23rd – 29th
This week’s headline items: Uranus starts to slow down (“station”) on Wednesday, preparing for its yearly retrograde phase — and Mercury comes to a complete halt on Wednesday night/Thursday very early morning, starting its 3-week retrograde phase. A very powerful Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse becomes exact on Friday afternoon.
There will be three Moon VoC phases this week, all fairly long: Tuesday (beginning in the early morning and lasting for almost 13.5 hours), Thursday late morning (21 hours), and Sunday morning (14 hours).
Before we get to this week’s forecast, I have one quick announcement:

Now, this week’s Forecast:
Monday (July 23rd): the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day. We’re strongly motivated to explore and learn. We’re not likely to be big fans of routine — diversity and new adventures work best for us at this time — we’re also physically restless and need to burn off that excess energy with activity and physical exercise.
We also tend to feel more open, optimistic and inspired — but we also have a high degree of independence — and taking these two influences together, we’d rather inspire others to do things our way, as opposed to issuing or obeying orders.
Happily, inspiring others likely comes easier than normal, as we can see the bigger picture, leaving us confident that others will agree with us once they see what we see. As best as you can then, speak your truth, without assuming that everyone is on the same page as you.
Improvisation works well for us at this time, as we are spontaneous, and love living on the edge — just watch out you aren’t overdoing or overstating things.
Monday late morning/early afternoon: we feel a need to explore and grow spiritually while also connecting on very specific realistic issues — stretch a little, and see if you can find creative ways to connect on the details whilst honoring your need for the bigger picture. As best as you can, be flexible and patient with yourself and others.
Monday afternoon: we may need to make some adjustments again. As best you can, honor both your need for adventure and exploration of life and your need to go within.
You may also feel a pull between introvert and extrovert, or simply fast and slow. Tune in for a moment and see if you need to take a break or at least slow down a little. As best as you can, be compassionate and kind with yourself.
Tuesday (July 24th): the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, until…

…5:49pm EDT (see Monday for details).
Tuesday at 4:22am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that last for almost 13.5 hours, until 5:49pm EDT (early evening). This is an opportunity to connect, explore, and become part of something exciting. Use this intuitive time to get excited about new adventures — and since things flow so nicely, maybe to have some fun!
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday early morning until the early evening ahead of time.
Tuesday afternoon, a Venus/Neptune opposition becomes exact at 3:22pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last Saturday evening on, it will remain strong until this Friday morning. We are ready to dissolve anything that we valued in the past that no longer serves either ourselves or humanity.
Our relationships might feel confusing or disappointing, they might even be some of the things “dissolving” — but this is helping us get more connected with our inner knowingness, or our inner sensing of what feels “right”. Compassion may play a big role in our interactions.
This also might not be the best time to start a new relationship, as we have the tendency to idealize others, leading to disappointment down the line. As best as you can, find your inner balance with what’s real and what’s not… and allow others to be human, limitations and all 😉
Financially, we may want to invest in creative or spiritual endeavors that include others, but hold off on buying anything concrete or practical until after July 27th.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 13-19 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune rules Pisces).
Tuesday at 5:49pm EDT, the Moon moves into practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until Friday morning. We tend to be more realistic, serious, cautious; this can support practical endeavors and financial matters.
Our ambition surges and brings with it a need for structure and planning; when you add in the pragmatism this aspect supports, you can see how this could be a very productive time for business and long-term goals. Our reputation becomes very important to us.
As best as you can during this aspect, avoid “should-ing” on yourself. Take the pressure off, perhaps by saying “I am doing the best I can and that’s all I can ever do” 😉
Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn; it is currently transiting through its own sign, making this a great time to take look at your long-term aspirations and anything that you would like to master over the next three years. It’s also a great time to take a more serious look at our strategies for self-mastery.
For starters: Do you truly see “what’s so” in your life (as opposed to what you merely wish it to be, or what you would like it to be, or where you see yourself going, etc)? What is actually so right now? Once you have a handle on where “A” is, it’s easier to “go from A to B” — whether “B” is self-mastery or standing on the mountaintop.
Wednesday (July 25th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day (see Tuesday early evening for details).
Wednesday very early morning, a harmonious Sun/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 1:33am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last Saturday evening (July 21) on, it will remain strong until this Saturday morning (July 28th). This creates a supportive environment for healing our insecurities.
We can bring greater awareness to our feelings of shame and any self-deprecating thoughts or behaviors. Paradoxically, we have the chance to shine, largely because we project self-respect and modesty. This is also a great time to recognize that our so-called flaws and insecurities have become some of our best assets and strengths. Where might this be true for you?
Something else that supports healing our insecurity is a sense of pursuing a worthy goal — this could be something as simple as a desire to learn and grow — and our goal-orientation helps us overcome any problems that arise while we’re on our “mission”.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 29 degrees of Cancer, Pisces, Scorpio, or 0-5 degrees of Leo, Aries, or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo (as the Sun rules Leo).
Wednesday morning, a challenging Sun/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 7:36am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last Sunday morning (July 22nd) on, it will remain strong until this Saturday afternoon. Routines and plans — especially those connected with creative endeavors, children, romance, parties or sporting events — are quite likely to experience disruption, calling for flexibility and creative solutions.
During this transit, we feel a great need to make progress, as we feel quite restless — maybe even anxious — but if we’re unclear on what is in our best interest, we might focus on things that don’t serve us in the long run.
As best as you can, go with the flow and stay open to experiencing something new and wonderfully unexpected; if you can, put off making major decisions for the time being… “haste makes waste” during this aspect 😉
You can think of this as “reorganizing” time — like rearranging your furniture — try not to resist the reorganization. Enjoy the ride… and remember: it only feels uncomfortable because it’s new and different. Could you allow yourself to be comfortable with being uncomfortable?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 29 degrees of Cancer, Aries, Libra, or Capricorn or 0-6 degrees of Leo, Taurus, Scorpio, or Aquarius? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aquarius or Leo (the Sun rules Leo; Uranus rules Aquarius).
Also on Wednesday, Uranus starts its Station phase (slowing down, in preparation for its yearly 5-month retrograde phase). It will come to a halt on in 2.5 degrees of Taurus (on Aug. 7th). Uranus will move more slowly for almost four weeks between now and Aug. 20th, anything connected to its energy will come into our awareness quite strongly: We have to face what this planet is trying to communicate to us.
Uranus’s themes: breaking away from traditional structures, moving towards a new future that serves others as well as ourselves — and we can confidently expect the unexpected. Inner and outer freedoms will move to the forefront of discussions. We might have flashes of insight or new ideas about what needs to change in our lives.
What might this be for you? Where do you feel the desire to break free? If “Freedom” were inside of you, where might it be? Where have you denied yourself permission to be free? Unique? Simply yourself?
With this much erratic energy moving through our bodies, we are best off staying in movement and “shaking it out”. Rather than blindly doing our own thing, it will serve us now to focus on aligning our visions and desires with our values and what
This also gives us the opportunity to look at how free we truly feel within our relationships. Are we expressing our individuality to the fullest? Are we connecting to a larger vision for our future? Is anything holding us back? As best as you can, share your ideas, and inspire others to share your vision of a better future: See who wants to come on board — and look for how you can connect with other collaborators to make it happen..
Uranus also rules electronics, technology and the internet, so don’t be surprised if you experience some interruptions or short-term failures in these areas. Group activities are also ruled by Uranus, so these too will be more at the forefront of awareness. As best as you can, stay open and flexible, go with the flow — and pay attention to those messages from the Universe 😉
Some of us will be more affected than others, depending on how it interacts with our personal chart. If you have your Ascendant, Career Point or any personal planets in 0-5 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo or Aquarius, you will be more affected by this particular retrograde.
Thursday (July 26th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day (see Tuesday early evening for details).
Wednesday night/Thursday very early morning, at 1:02am EDT, Mercury comes to a halt in 23.5 degrees of Leo and starts its 3-week retrograde phase; slowing things down tremendously from Wednesday morning until Friday. Give yourself extra time to go to work or to get things done. If you are traveling, just simply go with the flow… you’ll get there… eventually 😉 The same is true when it comes to all our technological devices…
This retrograde phase will last until Aug. 19th (and end at 11.5 degrees of Leo). People worry about Mercury retrogrades, but it’s important not to stop one’s life during these times; it’s better to think of it as a chance to resolve issues that came up within the past three weeks.
As mentioned above, certain things may take longer, however, investigate your own thought processes… ask yourself: What’s too busy in my life? What if I got really clear about that?
For the next three weeks, we’ll get a chance to explore our inner child energy, connecting within to our creativity and innocence. It’s also an opening to readdress any communications or new information that came in over the past three months — and the same is true of our mental conditioning.
This is an internal process — a chance to honor and reorganize our thoughts, working from the inside to the outside — rethinking, retooling, and releasing what no longer works.
We also get a chance to readdress issues around healthy self-expression. We can better connect within to whatever needs a playful approach, or simply some kind of revision — we may even get to reorganize our life, and connect more to our creative processes — if we do the inner work of exploring what works for us and what doesn’t.
As always: with Mercury retrograde, always read the small print — and re-read a contract before signing (if you have to sign something) — or ask another person for a second opinion… Basically, during these periods, it’s best to be aware of any details that we might have overlooked… and check in with our intuition… and stay open to the possibility of renegotiation or adjustments, down the line!
In general, Mercury Retrograde is a great time for reevaluating and reorganizing. This is especially true for our thought patterns and decisions (particularly those made in the 3 weeks prior to the start of the retrograde) — but it’s true of our lives in general: we can reach a clearer understanding as to what works, and what doesn’t, and what needs to change.
Reconnecting with old friends, clients and young family members (especially siblings) is also favored at this time …
Mercury also represents our day-to-day mind; this too is experienced more internally at this time. When it comes to communication, make sure that what you say, write and hear is the same as the intended meaning — and use the spell-checker 😉
Another thing to take into consideration: how does each Mercury retrograde phase affect your personal birth chart. Do you have any personal planets that Mercury will align with during its retrograde journey? The houses of your chart each represent different areas of your life — which of the houses in your chart is affected by this retrograde?
As with any retrograde, some of us will be more affected than others, depending on how it interacts with our personal chart. If you have your Ascendant, Career Point or any personal planets in 9-26 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, or Scorpio, you will be more affected by this particular retrograde. This is also true for those of us who have a Gemini, or Virgo Sun- or Rising-sign (Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo)
Thursday at 9:41am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that last for 21 hours, until 6:41am EDT (Friday morning). Use this intuitive time to focus on long-term successes. We might get a little obsessed with a project or task — as best as you can, take breaks and don’t forget to practice a little self-care 😉
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday late morning until Friday morning ahead of time.
Thursday early evening, a somewhat challenging Sun/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 5:40pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Wednesday evening on, it will remain strong until Friday evening. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward — and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed in order to see what needs adjusting.
Our focus is drawn to the truth of the matter, but we could be pulled away by doubts and impatience, or by “accepting” responsibilities that aren’t ours (while ignoring the ones that are). We work hard but aren’t always recognized or compensated as we’d like and therefore sometimes run out of steam before our work is complete. Our life works best when we learn to take care of our most important responsibilities first.
As best you can, slow down, but don’t come to a halt: Just because you’re not sure about something, doesn’t mean it’s not worth taking a longer look — in other words, don’t impatiently discard things when you’re unsure what to do about them. Ask yourself: How might I express my heart’s desire in a self-responsible way? What might I see if I slowed down? What might I notice if I took a longer-term view? How might joy and an open heart support my long-term goals?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 3-5 degrees of Leo or Capricorn? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Capricorn (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn rules Capricorn).
This is also the day before the Lunar Eclipse becomes exact; the second Eclipse within two weeks. There is some potent energy coming our way; it would be wise to prepare ourselves to be transformed by it, allowing for our consciousness upgrade to be installed. It comes down to this: just for now and just as best as you can… could you simply allow what is… to be?
Allow for the new templates to download; stay centered and do your best to ground from within — try using conscious breathing, flexibility — and best of all, see if you can move to the “observer position” when it comes to the emotional and mental body… This won’t last forever — in another two weeks, the downloads are complete 😉 If you’d like to learn more about this month’s Full Moon, click here to watch my Lunar Eclipse video.
Friday (July 27th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn until 6:41am EDT (see Tuesday early evening for details).
Thursday night/Friday very early morning, a Sun/Mars opposition becomes exact at 1:13am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Tuesday (July 24th) on, it will remain strong until Sunday (July 29th). This aspect invites us to find or create a balance between two polarities:
On the one hand, we have the Sun in Leo, calling on us to express joy, love and playful self-expression without apologies.
On the other hand, Mars in Aquarius wants us to move toward the future and make progress on our visions, and to experience more freedom. This opposition can cause impulsiveness and a short temper. We may experience frustration, impatience or arguments with others.
Mars being retrograde has an impact here too: It turns this energy inward. We may experience passive-aggressive behaviors. It’s essential to understand this balance from an intuitive place; integrate those opposites internally first.
As best as you can, get quiet with your mind: As things quieten down, what actions present themselves as being the obvious best way forward? What actions preserve your inner balance and support integration over disruption? What vision or dream might benefit from a joyful approach? What needs reexamination? Where do you need to feel free from convention? What would that look like?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 1-7 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus or Scorpio? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Aries (the Sun rules Leo; Mars is the ruler of Aries).
Friday at 6:41am EDT, the Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Sunday evening. This Moon placement starts the build-up towards the Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse (exact later today).
The Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional, interactions more impersonal than personal; we likely have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.
All of the following are also promoted during the time the Moon moves through Aquarius: social gatherings, anything connected with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas and methods, progress — as you can see, we have our eyes set on the future (or turned toward outer space 🙂 Personal freedom becomes paramount.
Friday late afternoon, at 4:20pm EDT, an extra-powerful Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse becomes exact in almost 5 degrees of Aquarius. (You may recall from the entry above that the entrance of the Moon into Aquarius at 6:41am EDT started the energetic build-up towards this extra-powerful Full Moon). The Sun, Moon, and Earth align precisely enough for a Solar or Lunar Eclipse to occur only once every six months.
This is the second of three Eclipses in a row, the next one will be on Aug. 11th, and Eclipse season will end on August 26th. Eclipses are always powerfully connected to the Moon Nodes and thus our Soul’s Journey.
This Full Moon’s energy is more intense than the typical kind — and given that it’s happening in the Aquarius/Leo polarity, that intensity is around becoming aware of dogmatic, rigid thinking and opening our heart chakras. As we do this, we can joyfully and actively participate in shaping a future that serves all humans, supporting the healthy evolution of our species and the planet.
Eclipses occur in 19 year cycles; this one traces back to July 28, 1999, when there was a Lunar Eclipse in almost 5º Aquarius-Leo. Ask yourself: What was going on for me back then? What in my life now is ready for completion? What might be ready to go to the next level?
Life-changing revelations are much more likely than normal over the next two weeks — and with them, shifts in our consciousness — and the impact of an Eclipse’s energy also lasts longer than a regular Lunation (we will feel this one for about 6 months).
This is the fourth Lunar Eclipse in a 23-month cycle of Eclipses, all connected to the Leo/Aquarius polarity; the cycle in question runs from February 2017 to Jan. 2019, beginning and ending with Lunar Eclipses in Leo.
Ask yourself: What has started to shift for me since 2017, when it comes to my attitudes towards the collective? Humanity? Like-minded people? What about friends? Was there perhaps also a shift in my desire for joy? How about heartfelt, authentic self-expression? What changes have I been able to implement already?
On Jan. 31st, 2018, there was another Lunar Eclipse in the Leo/Aquarius polarity, that also nudged us to make some changes in our lives. Think back to late January of this year: What unfinished business is asking to be completed? What is ready to move to the next level?
During a Lunar Eclipse, the Full Moon slowly dims as it passes through the Earth’s shadow — and the brightest moonlight of the month becomes, just for a moment, the darkest. We experience a parallel process: what has been submerged in the unconscious swims to the surface.
The flow of change is strong for the next few weeks, as we are pulled into the unknown and the unexpected, making it important to take extra good care of ourselves. As our bodies adjust to holding higher frequencies, we may need more rest, and/or less stimulation. Ask yourself: What actions or rituals might support me with this recalibration? What information might my body have for me, if I tuned into its wisdom?
To have a more detailed understanding of how these Eclipses will affect you personally, feel free to join us on Aug. 1st at 12pm EDT for the live webinar, or register for the mp4-video presentation of the monthly Forecasting Forum. Please keep in mind, if you are already a Star or SuperStar Member, you will receive a link for both automatically via email!
The Moon in Aquarius is located right between the South Node and retrograde Mars, so we are becoming more aware of what has been suppressed or ignored both in regards to the lower vibrations of the Aquarian energy, and also in regards to our masculine energies. Furthermore, this being a South Node Eclipse, we are invited to address, redefine and release “old” patterns, focus on completing unfinished business, and breaking free from the past.
Ask yourself: Am I regressing into old patterns? What unconventional actions could I take to clear stuck energy and emotions? What’s blocking my forward progress? What emotional memories am I now ready to release around not belonging, or being too different?
Look at the House in which the Moon/Mars/South Node combo lands in your natal chart… that area of your life opens a powerful portal for clearing “old” energies and emotions…
The shadow side of Aquarius includes the feeling of being detached from our own life force, center, or personal creative process — while, at the same time, being overly attached to the mind and its functions: idealized visions, rigid thinking about the future, etc. “Headiness” is likely and the mind’s activity could be at an all-time high.
The classic setup here sees us disconnecting from our inner moment-to-moment joy for the sake of improving our future, “humanity”, or “the world at large” — the latter two stem from Aquarius’s association with group-consciousness and group-mind. We might also shy away from standing out, from a fear of rejection or ostracism, so ask yourself (and be really honest with yourself here):
How have I avoided following my heart, so I can fit in? What would it feel like if I gave up conforming out of fear of ridicule or rejection? What if I gave up identifying as a “black sheep”, rebel, or being so different that I can never belong? Maybe just for right now, to see what it might be like? What if my power was simply the size of my heart that I bring to the collective or any kind of group experience?
Leo symbolizes the expression of our own individual light, gifts, and divine spark. Aquarius, on the other hand, symbolizes the power of community and collaboration for bringing about a common vision — where the whole becomes greater than the sum of its parts.
To boil this down, you could say that Leo represents our individual self-expression, and Aquarius our vision for humankind. So how to achieve that balance? Might one contribute to the other?
Ask yourself: What would radical individuality look like if I lived it with joy and love in my heart? What lights me up, versus what has me focus on belonging or blending in?
Let’s talk about the Mars retrograde conjunction to the Moon in Aquarius:
Mars entered its shadow phase on May 12th and started its retrograde phase on June 26th. Think back over that time, and ask yourself: What has been my wish and desire for the collective? What “old” expressions of the masculine energy are coming to the surface and are asking to be released? In other words, what’s no longer working for me? How would I like to see the masculine, active, assertive side of myself play out, moving forward?
We are definitely invited to go within and tap into our inner assertiveness and strength, preparing us for the next phase of our lives. Ask yourself: What no longer aligns with my destination? What do I keep getting angry or frustrated about?
This is prep time: rather than start anything brand-new, turn up the heat under what you already have cooking, or investigate future projects. Ask yourself: How do I act out my desire for freedom? What would true individuality look like in action? Where can I find this place inside of me? What “shoulds” or obligations are holding me back from being “me”?
Uranus (the ruler of Aquarius) is currently in Taurus and, since it is preparing to go retrograde, it is also exalted at the time of the Eclipse. It also squares the Eclipse, Mars and the Moon Nodes.
This Eclipse season thus has us looking at our individual and collective values, to see what needs to be fully integrated around realistic innovation and forward-thinking in our lives. It also brings our attention to what needs to change so we can fully step into a future in which we honor ourselves as individuals and bring our gifts and talents to the collective, and therefore become able to implement the progress that we ideally seek for this world.
Ask yourself: What radical changes in my life are waiting to be integrated into tangible, real physical form?
Accepting each other’s differences is going to be challenging for the next 6 months, as we all have different values, and those values create our preferences and determine our comfort zone. Ask yourself: How could I take those differences less personally? How can I honor my own differences without making other’s wrong?
Unexpected events, erratic behavior, sudden changes, radical breaks with the past: all are possible right now and for the next 6 months, potentially shaking us out of stagnant patterns. Ask yourself: What’s a new chapter in my life that is to be opened? What ideas and insights am I receiving that are pointing me in that direction?
What would letting go of my attachments to the imagined future look like? What would it feel like? What would it feel like to be in acceptance with “what is”?
Take a moment and listen to your beating heart… is it beating right now? and now? and now?
As best as you can, let that heart-beat be your guidance and compass. Let it remind you that the present moment is precious, that it is alive, and filled with potential. Your potential!
Our vision for the future is a marker in an imaginary place, but without the beat of our heart and fulfillment of our potential in the now moment, it will remain only that — a marker in an imaginary future. We can only live into our ideal future if we allow ourselves to celebrate the joy we already have in the now-moment, and express what’s in our heart, fully and authentically, without apologies.
Ask yourself: What are my ideals in that imaginary future? What comes up for me when I hear the word “freedom”? “Equality”? What might be possible for humanity’s future, if I contributed my joy and individual creative process to the collective?
There are so many more aspects we could talk about with this Lunar Eclipse chart — and I will go into more details about some of those aspects at the Monthly Forecasting Forum on August 1st at 12pm EDT. If you are a Universal Member, click here to register) –but for now, I’m going to finish up with the Mercury station/retrograde in Leo.
Mercury is also exalted in this Eclipse chart, just like its higher octave, Uranus. This is a time to go within and reflect on our thinking processes, especially where they relate to fun, and tapping into our inner joy. Ask yourself: What have I learned in the past three months? What has been in my face, from July 18th on until now? How could I get back to tapping into the laughter and creativity of my inner child?
Reconnecting with old friends and clients might give us the answers to some of these questions…
To sum it all up: This Lunar Eclipse shows us that there are plenty of inner processes going on — and we’re all dealing with those processes in our own way. If we look into our own heart and see the strength and love lying there, we can begin to reclaim ourselves, remember our divinity and interdependence, choose love over fear, and lift ourselves and humanity out of the old paradigm of separation and scarcity.
Ask yourself: What would embodying my true essence look like? What role do I wish to play at this pivotal time on Earth? When uncertain, ask to be shown your next step… simply ask: Could I be open to the people, places, and situations that will guide me and bring me the next clue? If my mind is in doubt, could I let myself be guided by the inner sensation of joy?
Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 0-10 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus or Scorpio? If so, you may feel the effects of this powerful Full Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer). And if you’d like to learn more about this month’s Full Moon, click here to watch my Lunar Eclipse video.
Friday late evening, a harmonious Venus/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 9:26pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Tuesday evening on, it will remain strong until next week, Monday evening (July 30th). This aspect brings a fruitful and rewarding period in our lives. We experience new depths of intimacy (with an existing or new partner), we learn to appreciate the important people in our lives, and our value system transforms and evolves.
This is likely an excellent period for finances as well. Work we’ve done might pay off, and we are able to manage our finances better, with more attention to detail, planning, and strategy — as well as the elimination of anything that no longer serves us. We might renew a commitment, or bring new, deeper and more intimate energy into a relationship under the influence of this aspect.
Our sexual lives might get a real boost now, as we tend to want to connect on a deeper level. We might find ourselves strongly attracted to someone, almost to the point of obsession. If this aspect connects with any of your personal planets, you might just meet the “love of your life”.
One thing is for sure — relationships experienced now are bound to be unforgettable. While this transit tends to signal new or strengthened relationships, any relationship that ends during this cycle may leave us feeling liberated.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 16-23 degrees of Virgo, Capricorn, or Taurus? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Scorpio (Venus being the ruler of Taurus and Libra, while Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio).
Saturday (July 28th): the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day (see Friday morning for details).
Saturday late morning: We are experiencing two quite different needs, pulling us in different directions. On the one hand, we feel strongly drawn to like-minded people and want to focus on progressing toward our future. On the other hand, we want to explore deep, authentic — even intimate — connections to ourselves or others. Do your best to make adjustments, slow things down a little, and find creative solutions that honor both drives.
Saturday night: we are in invited to make some inner adjustments. We feel uneasy or awkward and need to make a choice. Making this choice demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges:
On the one hand, we want to be of service in a practical way, producing tangible results — and on the other, we feel a need to create more liberties for ourselves and others.
Sunday (July 29th): the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius until 7:28pm EDT (see Friday morning for details).
Sunday at 5:25am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that last for 14 hours, until 7:28pm EDT (Sunday evening). Use this intuitive time to find a balance between wanting to belong and fit in, versus wanting to fully, authentically, and joyfully express our individual light.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday morning until the evening ahead of time.
Sunday at 7:28pm EDT, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until next week, Wednesday morning (Aug.1st). This Moon placement often finds us more sensitive, intuitive, idealistic and imaginative than normal. We also have a greater capacity for compassion, sympathy, and affection for all — but especially for those who suffer or can be regarded as the underdog.
But… that very idealism could also be our downfall at this time: We tend to see the best in everyone and everything, and when reality doesn’t match our idyllic vision, we might feel upset and even victimized by those harsh realities. A way out of this is to channel our idealism into spiritual or creative endeavors.
It’s also a great time for releasing fears — especially the ones based on a sense of separation — and experiencing “oneness”. Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them — in fact, “going with the flow” is the best way to go for the next couple of days.
A heads up for next Monday (July 30th): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day. The Moon sextiles Saturn in Capricorn at 2:48am EDT, it quincunxes the Sun in Leo at 10:15am EDT, and it trines Jupiter in Scorpio at 11:23pm EDT. More about the details in next week’s forecast 🙂
