Catch Your Breath — Forecast for June 28th – July 4th

This week’s headline items: Mercury resumes its normal pace (ending its station) on Monday; the last Quarter Moon in Aries becomes exact on Thursday late afternoon; on Friday, Chiron starts to slow down (station), preparing to go retrograde.

There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday until 1:51pm EDT, Wednesday early afternoon (for a little over 7.5 hours) and Friday night/Saturday very early morning (for a little over 8 hours).

Before we get to this week’s forecast, let me make a quick announcement:

Now, this week’s Forecast

Monday, June 28th:

Monday, the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius and VoC until 1:51pm EDT; at that time, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Wednesday late evening. This Moon placement often finds us more sensitive, intuitive, idealistic and imaginative than normal. We also have a greater capacity for compassion, sympathy, and affection for all — but especially for those who suffer or can be regarded as the underdog.

But… that very idealism could also be our downfall at this time: We tend to see the best in everyone and everything, and when reality doesn’t match our idyllic vision, we might feel upset and even victimized by those harsh realities. A way out of this is to channel our idealism into spiritual or creative endeavors.

It’s also a great time for releasing fears — especially the ones based on a sense of separation — and experiencing “oneness”. Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them — in fact, “going with the flow” is the best way to go for the next couple of days.

In the early evening, a somewhat challenging Venus/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 5:31pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Sunday early evening on, it will remain strong until Tuesday early evening. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward — and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed in order to see what needs adjusting.

This aspect marks a fork in the road: Will we step onto a path of creative and joyful self-expression? Or will we take the path that leads to a larger understanding of intuition and inner guidance, and of our perspectives and attitudes concerning our interconnectivity with everything around us?

Either way, we can develop a new perspective on how to approach these issues in our life. Awareness is key with this aspect: What is needed? How can we serve the broader view?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 1-3 degrees of Leo or Pisces? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Sagittarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).

Also, Monday,  Mercury resumes its normal pace through the sky, ending its station. Communication and transportation is now back to “normal” as are any associated gadgets, vehicles, etc. New ideas and information received during the Mercury Retrograde phase (May 29th – June 22nd) can now be reviewed. What did you discover about your inner dialogue — especially when it comes to…

What did you discover during that time about your inner dialogue, especially when it comes to your thought patterns, or your ability to share and connect with an open mind?

Tuesday, June 29th:

Tuesday, the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Monday afternoon for details).

Tuesday early morning, starts out with a nice feeling of ease and an ability to trust and connect on an emotional or familiar level with others. As best as you can, trust your intuitive sensing right now, allow whatever comes up to be beneficial for you. (Moon in Pisces trines Sun in Cancer, exact at 3:54am EDT)

Tuesday late morning, we experience a need for inner adjustments. We feel uneasy or awkward and need to make a choice. Making this choice demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: on the one hand, the desire to be creative, outgoing and self-expressed — and on the other hand, the need to go within and be quiet, so we can hear the subtle voice of our intuition. (Moon in Pisces quincunxes Mars in Leo, exact at 9:58am EDT)

Tuesday afternoon, we get an opportunity to be very present, to connect with others and share a new vision about the Earth, or to reinvent how we connect with “the good things in life”.

As best as you can, bring a sense of flow and faith to who you are being; allow yourself to intuitively share some progressive, new ideas about what is important to you, and things that could make yours and other people’s life easier on a very practical level. (Moon in Pisces sextiles Uranus in Taurus, exact at 2:47pm EDT)

Tuesday late evening: if we are still awake at this time, we may well feel a need to go within — and we may also want to connect, share and learn from others. This tension clearly invites us to stretch a little and resolve it through creative solutions — the key here is to listen to our intuition and our “energy body”, so we don’t drive ourselves or others crazy. (Moon in Pisces squares Mercury in Gemini, exact at 11pm EDT)

Wednesday, June 30th:

Wednesday, the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces until 9:21pm EDT (see Monday afternoon for details).

Wednesday at 1:40pm EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for a little over 7.5 hours, until 9:21pm  EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to be guided by inspiration, and fully commit to a project or task that might serve you long-term. As best as you can, listen and trust the subtle messages in your heart that stir you towards success.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Wednesday afternoon until the late evening ahead of time.

Wednesday at 9:21pm EDT, the Moon moves into pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Saturday morning. Life is an adventure, we’re more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately.

Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body’s excess energy. This Moon placement also starts the build up towards the last Quarter Moon (exact Thursday late afternoon).

Thursday, July 1st:

Thursday, the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced  Aries all day (see Wednesday late evening for details).

Thursday morning, a Mars/Saturn opposition becomes exact at 9:08am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Saturday evening (June 26th) on; it will be strong until next week, Monday evening (July 5th). This opposition invites us to find a balance between our commitments to like-minded people and our impulse to go after our heart’s desire. We may face obstacles, mental blockages, or an opposition to our sense of freedom, our drive, and our ambitions.

We also might become more cautious now. We are learning to live in moderation now — but this may be frustrating, as we face tests or trials that remind us that pushing too hard or too fast doesn’t always get us the results we want. It’s time to slow down a little, catch our breath, even experience some setbacks, all so we come back stronger, more controlled, directed, and mature. Taking responsibility is key!

Mars is the inner teenager and Saturn is the inner adult. Mars wants to move fast and get results, Saturn wants us to slow down and focus on the essential — and sustainable over a long time. What would it take to find your inner balance with those two archetypes?

If we are experiencing these energies within a relationship, we can ask ourselves which of them we are living out: “Am I being impatient? Or am I scared that I have missed something essential — that something is not going to work out long-term?” Whichever it is, allow yourself to open your heart to the other side, as best as you can 😉

Mars last aligned with Saturn in 0Âș of Aquarius back on March 31st, 2020. Think back to that time: What began? What seeds were planted? What commitments did you make? How far have you come since then? In other words, what has emerged since Spring 2020, in regards to career, long-term goals, public image, becoming an expert in something, or being an authority figure in your field?

You are also now more aware of what you have (and haven’t) accomplished since then… Do you like what you see? Is there room for more integration?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 9-16 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus or Scorpio? If so, you will be more affected by this opposition. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Capricorn (since Mars is the ruler of Aries, while Saturn rules Capricorn)

Thursday late afternoon, at 5:11pm EDT, the last Quarter Moon in 10 degrees of pioneering, fast-paced Aries becomes exact. The Moon pioneering, fast-paced Aries in makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in protective, nurturing Cancer.

This Moon phase brings us closer to the next New Moon in Cancer (exact July 9th). Since the last New Moon on June 10th was also a Solar Eclipse, we are being invited with this last Quarter Moon to take a look at our Solar Eclipse Intentions one last time, to see if something needs adjusting.

Rather than starting major new projects, it serves us to complete anything that has already been started before Eclipse season began (May 16th). We now have about a week to wrap those projects up.

What — if anything — needs last-minute adjustments? What have you discovered since May 16th? What did it mean for you? As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up between yourself and others — and for any internal conflicts.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 8-12 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn? If so, you will feel this month’s last Quarter Moon quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer, since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer.

Friday, July 2nd:

Friday, the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Wednesday late evening for details).

Friday early morning, a harmonious Mars/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 4:41am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last week, Sunday (June 27th) on ; it will be strong until next week, Tuesday evening (July 6th). This gives us a chance to learn to accept our desires and our anger as valid — so that when we express them, we do so naturally and confidently, without harming ourselves or others — simply allowing ourselves to feel anger and talk about it, just as we would about joy.

Ask yourself: What if I brought understanding and compassion to anger or assertiveness? What if my desires were valid? We may also develop a strong sense of mission that can carry us through obstacles. We’d like to team up with others to fight injustice, purge something “unclean” from the world, or simply bring healing where we believe it’s needed.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-16 degrees of Leo, Aries, or Sagittarius? Or perhaps your Ascendant or Sun-sign is in Aries? If so, you are especially blessed by this aspect.

Friday night/Saturday very early morning, at 12:15am EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for a little over 8 hours, until 8:28am EDT. Use this intuitive time to make some adjustments and find creative ways to work with the energies at play: On the one hand, as best as you can, follow your inner compass and take care of your own needs; on the other hand, deepen your authentic connection to whatever you are building long-term.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Friday night until Saturday morning ahead of time.

Also on Friday, Chiron starts its Station phase in almost 13 degrees of Aries. It is slowing down as it gets ready to start its yearly 5-month Retrograde phase, on July 15th. We will feel the effects of its station until July 26th; its energies are more exalted during this period.

Chiron is known as the “Wounded Healer”; in Aries, our attention is turned towards our physical and sexual wounds, and our wounding around self-identity, assertion, and anger. Chiron represents our inner insecurities, those self-conscious and wounded places. Chiron also represents the inner wound of abandonment and our need to “make it on our own”.

We are invited to approach these wounds on a holistic level, to heal them such that others are healed thereby. This is accomplished very simply and naturally when we work with the true beauty and strength of this energy: Compassion.

Having compassion for our own wounds or sensitivities heals them and allows healing compassion for the wounds we now see in others.

What physical or sexual wounding could you now acknowledge? Where are your insecurities around personal goals, the “masculine” energies (such as assertion or anger), or being a leader in your own unique way? What needs your compassion or even your love? What needs to heal?

We also talked more about the Chiron Station and Retrograde phase in Aries, in relationship to your own Birth chart, in our last Forecasting Forum. Click here to get the 90+ min. webinar on the subject.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 11-15 degrees of Aries, Libra, Cancer or Capricorn? If so, you will be more impacted by this Station phase.

Saturday, July 3rd:

Saturday, the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries and VoC until 8:28am EDT (see Wednesday late evening and Friday night for details).

Saturday at 8:28am EDT, the Moon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will journey until Monday late evening (July 5th). We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well. In other words: change is not our favorite thing and “rushing things” goes against our grain.

What is our favorite thing for the next two-and-a-half days? It’s probably slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses 😉

Saturday evening, a somewhat challenging Sun/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 6:51pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Friday evening on; and it will remain strong until Sunday evening. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward — and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed in order to see what needs adjusting.

Our focus is drawn to the truth of the matter, but we could be pulled away by doubts and impatience, or by “accepting” responsibilities that aren’t ours (while ignoring the ones that are). We work hard but aren’t always recognized or compensated as we’d like and therefore sometimes run out of steam before our work is complete. Our life works best when we learn to take care of our most important responsibilities first.

Personal comfort and safety is important for Cancer, yet Saturn in Aquarius reminds us that staying attached to the past or what’s familiar is not going to lead to new creations, or bring forth new visions for the future.

Ask yourself: What future visions do I have for my various communities – locally or online?

Could I stay open to bringing in some new structures, so I can fulfil on my vision and create something sustainable? What is the worst that could happen if I chose “the familiar” or “safety” over “an improved future”? What role does self-responsibility or self-care play in all of this? What if I simply decided to stay adaptable?

As best you can, slow down, but don’t come to a halt — just because you’re not sure about something, doesn’t mean it’s not worth taking a longer look — in other words, don’t discard things because they are different or new when you’re unsure what to do about them.

Ask yourself: What does taking care of my feeling-body in a self-responsible way look like? What future might I see if I slowed down? What might I notice if I took a longer-term view? How might proper self-care support the long-term goals of my communities?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 11-13 degrees of Cancer or Aquarius? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Capricorn (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)

Saturday late evening, a challenging Mars/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 9:40pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Monday evening (June 28th) on; it will remain strong until next week, Thursday night (July 8th). Think back to mid-late January of this year, when Mars and Uranus were conjunct in Taurus: what seeds got planted back then? And what adjustments are needed to move those plans forward?

This aspect asks us to get in touch with our desires, and break away from anything that is holding us back. Passions and anger that we may not even know we had may emerge at this time.

Uranus urges us to let go of our past values and focus on a better future. We may feel restless and impatient; we can be very demanding and difficult to please. We tend to feel like progress is too slow and we are tired of waiting. This could be an explosive time, as our inner child wants what it wants, while outer “reality” demands we change course.

On the other hand, if you are the kind of person that doesn’t go in for asserting themselves, this is an excellent time to try it out 😉 Do your best not to burn all your bridges, especially with any males in your family or in your various communities. We may also experience an awakening of sorts in regards to our sexuality.

Accidents are unusually likely (though not inevitable), especially if our levels of activity and energy are erratic; to prevent this, stay as grounded as possible and keep breathing! Flexibility and open-mindedness are always helpful but are especially important now.

Notice when you are digging your heels in about something, this is usually a sign that you have some underlying anxiety about something else; again, take a deep breath, get centered in your body, close your eyes and focus on your third eye.

Ask yourself: What am I afraid of happening? How might I channel this restless energy into projects that are asking for progress? How might I channel, or just burn off, all this erratic energy? What kind of exercise might be an energetic match? Where am I stagnating? Where am I able to risk something?

Do you have your Ascendant or personal planets in 11-17 degrees of Leo, Taurus, Aquarius or Scorpio? If so, you will feel the effects of this aspect more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Aquarius (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius)

Sunday, July 4th:

Sunday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Saturday morning for details). Happy Independence Day to everyone who lives in the US! *~*~*

Saturday night/Sunday very early morning, if we are awake, it’s time to make some adjustments in our life. As best as you can, find creative solutions to seemingly unsolvable situations. Make space for connections with children or playful adults, for actively creating something, or for staying grounded in your body (preferably surrounded by and enjoying nature and beauty). (Moon in Taurus squares Venus in Leo, exact at 1:44am EDT)

Sunday morning, on the one hand, we need to experience peace and physical pleasure; on the other, we need to take some time to focus on our future visions, on making progress, and see what’s realistic for us. We may need to make some adjustments between these two needs that are seemingly at odds. (Moon in Taurus squares Saturn in Aquarius, exact at 9:06am EDT)

Sunday late morning/early afternoon, a challenging Sun/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 11:39pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Thursday evening on; and it will remain strong until next week Wednesday evening (July 7th). This asks us to stretch ourselves and expand from within. We might feel less confident about who we are, and have a hard time projecting a social “front”. Our conditioning and wounded sense of Self may be out of harmony with each other.

As best as you can, take this as an opportunity to make space for feeling vulnerable or emotional without seeing yourself as weak or “less than”. It is perfectly ok to be yourself and feel insecure once in a while; as best as you can, bring compassion and love to yourself and others. After all, we are all human

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or personal planets in 10-16 degrees of Cancer, Aries, Libra or Capricorn? If so, you will feel the effects of this aspect more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo (the Sun rules Leo).

Sunday early afternoon: we are asked to connect with people with similar values who can provide practical support for our visions, and to share with them what is important to us (Moon in Taurus conjuncts Uranus in Taurus, exact at 12:41pm EDT)

On Sunday afternoon, we are invited to make some adjustments; as best as you can, find creative solutions to seemingly unsolvable situations. Make space for active self-expression, fun, and for honoring your need for pleasure, peace, and beauty. (Moon in Taurus squares Mars in Leo, exact at 1:28pm EDT) — post at 11:30am EDT

And…

A heads up for next Monday (July 5th): the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus until 9:24pm EDT (see last week Saturday morning for more details — July 3rd) At 12:57pm EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for almost 8.5 hours, until 9:24pm EDT. In the afternoon, an opportune Sun/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 3:14pm EDT; we started to feel this aspect build from July 2nd on; and it will remain strong until July 8th. Then, around 6:40pm EDT, the Balsamic Moon phase begins. At 9:24pm EDT, the Moon moves into Gemini, where it will journey until July 8th (Thursday late morning). More about all the details in next week’s forecast 🙂
