Slow Down & Go Within

This week’s headline items: the Balsamic Moon phase begins on Tuesday late morning; Mercury finally ends its post-Shadow phase on Friday night; the New Moon in Pisces becomes exact on Saturday early morning; the Sun squares the degree of the Dec. 14th Solar Eclipse on Saturday morning.

There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday evening (for almost 7 hours), Wednesday late evening (for a little over 11 hours), and Saturday late morning (for a little over 7 hours).

Before we get to this week’s forecast, please note that…

…On Sunday, March 14th at 2am, Daylight Savings Time begins in the United States & Canada. Given this, from Sunday on, I will be posting all astrological alignments and planetary movements in EDT (US-Eastern Daylight Savings Time). Please adjust accordingly for your location 😉

In particular, if you live in the UK, Europe, or Australia/New Zealand, please keep this additional one hour time difference in mind, when converting to your time zone 😉 For example, for the UK it will be 4 hours ahead instead of the usual 5 — until March 28th.

Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, March 8th:

Monday, the Moon remains in ambitious, goal-oriented Capricorn all day. It will journey there until Tuesday very early morning. We tend to be more realistic, serious, cautious; this can support practical endeavors and financial matters.

Our ambition surges and brings with it a need for structure and planning; when you add in the pragmatism this aspect supports, you can see how this could be a very productive time for business and long-term goals. Our reputation becomes very important to us.

As best as you can during this aspect, avoid “should-ing” on yourself. Take the pressure off, perhaps by saying “I am doing the best I can and that’s all I can ever do” 😉

Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn — and it will be transiting through Aquarius, making this a great time to take a look at our visions for humanity, and at anything we would like to accomplish long-term within our communities (locally or online).

It’s also a great time to take a more serious look at our various networks and connections to like-minded people; as best as you can, be authentic about your affiliations: Do they truly resonate with your personal vision for the future — as it stands now, rather than what it was 5 or 10 years ago? Does participation in those groups or networks align with who you are now, and with where you see yourself 5 years from now? What do you truly want to commit yourself to?

Monday late morning, we have an opportunity to soften our need for accomplishment with a gentler, more intuitive approach. Ask yourself: Where might I be guided, if I trusted my physical and intuitive body to guide me? Could I tune in and listen 5% more to those subtle sensations or messages? (Moon in Capricorn sextiles Neptune in Pisces, exact at 9:41am EST)

Monday at 7:52pm EST, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for almost 7 hours, until 2:41am EST (Tuesday very early morning ). Use this intuitive time to focus on long-term successes. We might get a little obsessed with a project or task — as best as you can, take breaks and don’t forget to practice a little self-care 😉 As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t…

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday evening until Tuesday very early morning ahead of time.

Tuesday, March 9th:

Tuesday, the Moon remains in ambitious, goal-oriented Capricorn and VoC until 2:41am EST; at that time, the Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Thursday late morning. The energy of the Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional; interactions more impersonal than personal. We are likely to have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.

Social gatherings, anything connected with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas and methods, progress: all these are promoted during the time the Moon moves through Aquarius. Again: we have our eyes on the future — or on outer space 🙂 Personal freedom becomes paramount.

Tuesday late morning, around 10:00am EST, the Balsamic Moon phase begins when the Moon reaches 4 degrees of Aquarius. This lasts until Saturday early morning, when the New Moon in Pisces becomes exact (more on that later this week… however, feel free to already watch my New Moon video here)

We are being asked to slow down and get quiet, so we can listen to our inner sensing/intuition. For some of us, this might be a stretch. As best as you can: stay grounded, take a deep breath and exhale any tensions. Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing existing projects or processes.

This is also a great time for letting go of whatever no longer serves us. What if you could hear the voice of your inner wisdom? What might it be saying?

Wednesday, March 10th:

Wednesday, the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking  Aquarius all day (see Tuesday very early morning for details).

Wednesday evening, a Sun/Neptune alignment in 20.5 degrees of Pisces becomes exact at 7:01pm EST. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Sunday evening (March 7th) on; it will remain strong this Saturday evening (March 13th). This alignment asks that we slow down and go within, allow for all energies to move through us — being present and compassionate are the higher vibrations of this alignment — we are more aware than ever that all things are interconnected.

Feeling things — and allowing everyone (ourselves included) to “have their feelings” — is highly recommended. When we start to resist the flow of life, the flow of feeling, we will create fear and suffering. The remedy is to open our hearts and let love flow through us.

When we get quiet and allow ourselves to be still for a moment, we sense our interconnectedness with all living things, our spiritual roots, the sacredness of all.

If, on the other hand, we are unable to connect to our divine essence, if we focus only on what’s outside of us, we will feel separate — and this illusion of separateness might cause us to look for an escape from our harsh “realities”.

What might be possible if we simply let go of fear-based thinking altogether for a moment, and instead simply connected to our wise heart, trusting the perfection of each “now” moment? What if we were to let go of all expectations and open our heart to the miracle of life?

This is about surrendering to the moment of now, to love, to our heart — not about giving up — rather, allowing “what is” to be ok, to see the perfection of “right now”.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 17-24 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Sagittarius or Gemini? If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (The Sun rules Leo; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces)

Wednesday at 10:32pm EST, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for a little over 11 hours, until 9:44am EST (Thursday late morning). Use this intuitive time to connect with others, and share your vision for the future. Could you permit yourself to get in touch with your unique spark — and communicate your divine genius?

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Wednesday late evening until Thursday late morning ahead of time.

Thursday, March 11th:

Thursday, the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius an VoC until 9:44am EST; at that time, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Saturday evening. This Moon placement often finds us more sensitive, intuitive, idealistic and imaginative than normal. We also have a greater capacity for compassion, sympathy and affection for all — but especially for those who suffer or can be regarded as the underdog.

But… that very idealism could also be our downfall at this time: We tend to see the best in everyone and everything, and when reality doesn’t match our idyllic vision, we might feel upset and even victimized by those harsh realities. A way out of this is to channel our idealism into spiritual or creative endeavors.

It’s also a great time for releasing fears — especially the ones based on a sense of separation — and experiencing “oneness”. Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them — in fact, “going with the flow” is the best way to go for the next couple of days. This Moon placement starts the build up toward the New Moon (exact Saturday early morning). If you didn’t get a change yet, feel free to watch my New Moon video here)

Thursday early evening: we feel a need to go within — yet also want to actively learn from one another. This tension clearly invites us to stretch a little and resolve it through creative solutions — the key here is to listen to our intuition, so we don’t drive ourselves or others crazy. We are also invited to “tune in” before taking any action: What feels right to you in this very moment? (Moon in Pisces squares Mars in Gemini, exact at 6:16pm EST).

Thursday night/Friday very early morning, we get an opportunity to be very present, to connect with others and share a new vision about the Earth, or to reinvent how we connect with “the good things in life”. As best as you can, bring a sense of flow and faith to who you are being; allow yourself to intuitively share some progressive, new ideas about what is important to you, and things that could make yours and other people’s life easier on a very practical level. (Moon in Pisces sextiles Uranus in Taurus, exact at 12:50am EST)

Friday, March 12th:

Friday, the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Thursday late morning for details)

Friday late evening, we are invited to connect with ourselves or others on an intuitive level; as best as you can, look for relationships that support creative or spiritual endeavors. Could you allow yourself to slow down and appreciate the subtleties and flow of life? (Moon in Pisces conjuncts Venus in Pisces, exact at 10:29pm EST).

Friday late evening, around 11:30pm EST, Mercury’s post-Shadow phase ends. As you may recall, two weeks ago, on Feb. 20th, when Mercury stationed direct, I mentioned the Mercury Shadow phases as well: If you want to buy, sell or ship big-ticket items, it’s best to avoid the periods shortly before Mercury goes retrograde and after Mercury goes direct. This is especially true if the items are connected to transportation (cars, plane tickets, etc.) or communication (phone, computer, iPad, etc.)

The good news is, this Shadow phase ends tonight (Friday), when Mercury reaches 26º27’ of Aquarius. This means that we can finally go ahead and book those plane tickets — or buy that new car or iPhone (or anything else communication- or transportation-related).

We can also more easily take in new information, so teaching, sharing and learning will be more effective. Click here to read my article on the subject.

Friday night/Saturday very early morning, if you are awake at this time, know that we feel more sensitive right now and need to slow down a little. This is a great time for spiritual or creative endeavors. Energy work, or anything that requires our intuitive side, will work best for the next several hours; resting and allowing ourselves to go with the flow will work well too. (Moon in Pisces conjuncts Neptune in Pisces, exact at 12:52am EST)

Saturday, March 13th:

Saturday, the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces until 6:44pm EST (see Thursday late morning for details).

Saturday early morning, at 5:21am EST, the Moon will align with the Sun in 23 degrees of Pisces; marking the beginning of a new Moon cycle. Feel free to also watch my New Moon video on the subject.

New Moons mark the ending and beginning of a monthly cycle, and are therefore an optimal time to pause, reflect, and set new Intentions for the next 28 days.

This New Moon chart also has four planets in Pisces — including Venus. Due to Uranus’s transit through Taurus, Venus (as that sign’s depositor) has a lot to say about how we can more fully embrace our own unique value.

Venus in Pisces invites us to focus on our inner divinity, our ability to receive, our connection to intuition, and our desire to contribute to life from a heart-centered and grounded place.

Our emotional and physical bodies are giving us the information we need to better connect to ourselves and what we want to contribute out there in the world; if we listen carefully, we will also understand much better the best pace for accomplishing things without overwhelming ourselves.

Neptune is the modern ruler of Pisces, Jupiter is the traditional ruler of Pisces, and Saturn is the traditional ruler of Aquarius, so these three planets play an important role in this New Moon chart. We will talk a little bit about them in a moment, but first let’s talk about Pisces, to see what this New Moon is all about:

Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac. It connects us to our spiritual journey, as it represents a reunion with Source/God/the Universe. At its highest vibration, Pisces unifies all dualities — it is completely aware of the oneness of all. It tells us there is a union within, that exists always, and… To read the whole article and get all the Coaching Questions for this month’s New Moon, click here.

Do you have your Ascendant or any personal planets in 21-25 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle. Intentions are best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact — and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.

So this month, the best time to set intentions would be between 5:21am and 11:38am today (March 13th)  then again between 6:44pm (March 13th) and 5:21am Monday early morning (March 15th) — all New York/Eastern Standard Time.

For more info on setting New Moon Intentions click here

If you live in a timezone other than EST (US East Coast-time), I recommend you join my Facebook Fan-page or follow me on twitter, as I post reminders on Saturday and Sunday throughout the day, to let you know when it is time to set your intentions 😉

Saturday around 7:16am EST, when the Sun reaches 23 degrees of Pisces, the Sun will square the degree of the Dec. 14th Solar Eclipse (in Sagittarius). We are at a potential turning point. Watch for important insights and developments today.

Our direct experience is our most valuable resource, especially if we also allow ourselves to listen to the subtle messages of our intuitive voice. How has your perception of yourself, others, and life shifted since Dec. 14th? If you really stop and check, might you be ready to trust your inner experience and knowingness a little more than previously?

Saturday at 11:38am EST, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for a little over 7 hours, until 6:44pm EST. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to connect to your higher Self, and if possible, bring a sense of flow and faith to your long-term plans — especially those you feel really passionate about.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Saturday late morning until the evening ahead of time.

Saturday evening, at 6:44pm EST, the Moon moves into pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until next week, Tuesday morning (March 16th). Life is an adventure, we’re more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately.

Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body’s excess energy.

Sunday, March 14th:

Sunday, the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Saturday evening for details).

Sunday at 2:00am ET, Daylight Saving Time begins in North America & Canada. This means from today on, I will be posting all astrological alignments and planetary movements in EDT (US-Eastern Daylight Savings Time). Please make sure that you adjust this for your location accordingly. For example, for the UK it will be 4 hours ahead instead of the usual 5 — until March 28th 😉

If you haven’t set your New Moon Intentions yet, Sunday all day and tomorrow, Monday until 5:21am EDT, is still time to do so during the most potent time… If you’d like some input on how to do that, check out this article — or (re-)watch my New Moon video: click here.

Sunday morning, we have an opportunity to connect with others and move a project forward that is dear to us. It’s time for action: What small (or even large) action steps could you take? What needs to be communicated, so you can move forward faster? Who can give you the information you need? (Moon in Aries sextiles Mars in Gemini, exact at 7:28am EDT)

Sunday late morning, has lots of potential for healing around family, the “mother archetype”, home, and our past in general. We may feel more sensitive and insecure about what we identify with, and around our ability to be assertive; this gives us the opportunity to give ourselves some compassion, acceptance and nurturing in the face of our sensitivities and limitations. (Moon in Aries conjuncts Chiron in Aries, exact at 11:18am EDT)

Sunday afternoon, we get an opportunity to take actions on our personal goals, in a very concrete way and bring a new level of focus and authenticity to our future visions (Moon in Aries sextiles Saturn in Aquarius, exact at 2:58pm EDT)

And…

A heads up for next Monday (March 15th): the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Saturday evening for details – March 13th). In the late morning, the Moon in Aries sextiles Jupiter in Aquarius, exact at 10:40am EDT and it squares Pluto in Capricorn, exact at 11:40pm EDT. In the early evening, at 6:26pm EDT, Mercury changes signs from Aquarius to Pisces where it will journey until April 4th. More about all the details in next week’s forecast 🙂
