March 9th – 15th | Astrologer Coach Sonja Francis

Discern without Judgment — Forecast for March 9th – 15th

This week’s headline items: the Super Full Moon in Virgo becomes exact on Monday afternoon. Late Monday evening, Mercury comes to a halt, beginning its post-Shadow phase and ending its 3-week Retrograde phase; on Sunday, the planet’s Station phase ends and it resumes its regular pace through the sky.

There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday early morning (for a 1.5 hours), Thursday early morning (for a little over an hour) and Saturday morning (for an hour).

Before we get to this week’s forecast, I have two quick announcements:

If you missed my Forecasting Forum on Sunday morning… and still would like to learn how the current planetary alignments are impacting you personally… feel free to watch the mp4-video presentation about Mercury going direct in 28º Aquarius & the Super Full Moon in Virgo — as it relates to your own Birth Chart…

Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, March 9th:

Monday, the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day; turning our focus toward the practical and wholesome. We are generous with our time/services and we love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world — things and knowledge we can apply and use.

Health might come also into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals. This Moon placement from Sunday morning (March 8th) on, started the build up towards the Full Moon (exact this afternoon).

As mentioned above, the Moon’s entrance into Virgo started the energetic build up towards the Full Moon that will be “exact” today (Monday) at 1:48pm EDT in a little over 19.5 degrees of Virgo.

This particular Full Moon has a heightened effect on us, as it is also a SuperMoon (i.e., the Moon is at its closest distance to the Earth); SuperMoons generate greater gravitational and electromagnetic pulls on our physical and emotional bodies — and pull more powerfully on our psyches too, increasing emotionality and fostering larger shifts in consciousness.

If you are already a Member of my online community, feel free to also watch my video for more.

Ask yourself: How far have I come with the Intentions I set around Feb. 23rd’s New Moon? If I’m not where I’d like to be with those intentions, what new course might take me closer to my goals?

A Full Moon is always an opposition between the Moon and the Sun; during these oppositions, we seek balance, alignment and integration around two perspectives that seem like polar opposites. Very often, we experience this through our interactions with others, and since these interactions are also the pathway to resolution, relationships of all kinds are highlighted during Full Moons.

In this case, the Moon in Virgo opposes the Sun in Pisces (if you are already familiar with this polarity, feel free to skip ahead to the aspects involved in this Full Moon chart…)

Virgo seeks personal wholeness, while Pisces reminds us of a transcendent wholeness — our divinity and interconnectedness with all of life.

Virgo benefits from apprenticeship, whereas Pisces learns to trust inner guidance above all else — when balanced, we are able to discern without judgment, serve without obligation, and love all of creation, including ourselves.

Virgo analyzes, Pisces feels: We are invited to discern what’s real, so we can make healthier choices.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point, or personal planets in 17-22 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, or Sagittarius ? If so, this month’s Full Moon will affect you more; the same is true for those of us with our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Monday at 11:49pm EDT, Mercury comes to a halt at 28º of Aquarius — ending its 3-week Retrograde phase, and slowly starts its direct motion. As best as you can, go with the flow, keep an open mind and pay attention to anything that is in your face right now — you may need to address those issues again, when Mercury moves through its Shadow phase…more on that later.

We are slowly ready to shift our focus back towards the outer world again, taking in new information and sharing from a new perspective. What did you learn about your intuitive knowingness and inner divinity over the past 3 weeks? How might you share your findings in a healthy way with others? What needs to be addressed with regards to your future vision or what you feel intuitively connected to?

When Mercury gets back to its regular speed (by March 15th), communication and transportation will get back to normal; the same is true of any associated gadgets, vehicles, etc.

Some of us will feel the effects of this station more than others: those of us with Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) — and those of us with personal planets (or angles) in the following: 26-29 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, Scorpio, or 0 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini or Sagittarius.

Also, Monday, Mercury’s post-Shadow phase begins — lasting until March 29th…. as you may recall, I mentioned Mercury Shadow phases in this update a few weeks back: If you want to buy, sell or ship big-ticket items, it’s best to avoid the periods shortly before Mercury goes retrograde, and after it goes direct. This is especially true if the items are connected to…

Tuesday, March 10th:

Tuesday, the Moon remain in detail-oriented, practical Virgo until 6:03am EDT.

Tuesday at 4:32am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for 1.5 hours until 6:03am EDT. Use this intuitive time to look at the details, and focusing on what’s sitting right in front of you that demands to be taken care of, so you can get to the next phase of accomplishment.

As best as you can, look at all the practical implications; slow down and take your time if you want to manifest something that can stand the test of time — rushing things will most likely backfire right now.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Tuesday morning ahead of time.

Tuesday at 6:03am EDT, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Thursday early morning. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.

We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. These next two days are a great time for mediation — but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might like.

We may also be able to see both sides of the equation so well that we can’t make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm — even if it’s “No” 😉 One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.

Tuesday early afternoon, calls for some inner adjustments, as we feel uneasy or awkward, and need to make a choice. Making this choice demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: on the one hand, we want to innovate in the area of our values (and maybe also have some financial breakthroughs); on the other hand, the feel the need to attend to our one-on-one relationships, supporting them (and perhaps collaborating).

Also, Tuesday early afternoon, we become more aware that we need to find a balance between two very different energies — on the one hand, taking a compassionate approach towards our personal goals, while being assertive in the world — and on the other hand, our need to connect and collaborate with others. Ask yourself: what if taking a compassionate approach towards myself actually made for more fulfilling connections with others?

Tuesday late afternoon, we are invited to make some more internal adjustments: we may feel the need to connect with others, and be polite, diplomatic, or agreeable — but on the other hand, we may also want to value ourselves — our physical & material needs.

Wednesday, March 11th:

Wednesday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Tuesday morning for details).

Wednesday morning, an opportune Sun/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 8:27am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Monday on; it will remain strong until Friday. We might want to take advantage of the opportunities this aspect provides — it’s an excellent time for more flow and trust, resolving conflicts with others, having fun and boosting our self-confidence. In fact, we may well feel particularly vital and confident — and inner optimism can bring rewards.

Humor can be a big part of this aspect too: We are able to laugh wholeheartedly, and we see lots of possibility in our lives, especially in our business relationships, or long-term commitments. This could bring a healthy shift of attitude toward our long-term goals — whether personal or business.

Imagine you have a special lens which showed you the “bigger picture”… What would your long-term goals look like when you gazed through it?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or any personal planets in 19-23 degrees of Pisces, Capricorn, Virgo, or Scorpio? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Sagittarius (the Sun rules Leo; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).

Wednesday late morning, we are invited to make some internal adjustments. We may want to connect with others, but may also need to tune in to our intuitive inner voice. What do you hear when you get really quiet?

Wednesday afternoon, we are invited to make some more internal adjustments. We may want to connect with others, but may also need to become aware of our intuitive, more creative side. Again, what do you feel/sense when you get really quiet?

Wednesday evening, we may need to make some adjustments and find creative ways to work with the energies at play: On the one hand we need to collaborate with others and play nice, on the other hand, we feel a deep desire to be authentic and truthful about what we want to build long-term.

Thursday, March 12th:

Thursday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra until 5:28am EDT (see Tuesday morning for details).

Thursday at 4:12am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for a little over an hour until 5:28am EDT. Do your best to use this intuitive time to make some adjustments in your life and find creative solutions to seemingly unsolvable situations. Make space both for looking for solid foundations under any long-term goals currently underway, and for ways to create win-win outcomes for one-on-one relationships.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday early morning ahead of time.

Thursday at 5:28am EDT, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Saturday morning. We feel things deeply and have “X-Ray Vision” and “Bullshit-Smelling Abilities” 😉

Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us at this time; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as flat-out dishonest. Once we feel safe trusting someone, we want to merge with them, preferably forever… as long as our trust is never betrayed.

The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. This occurs by a process of subtraction — it urges us to let go of whatever disempowers us. It’s therefore an excellent time to look at “old” fears, limiting habits or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.

Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity — it’s “in or out”, “with us or against us”, “love me or leave me”. It can therefore be stormy — a cold winter storm, or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we “work” the energies 🙂

Manipulation and paranoia are the lower vibrations of this aspect, so as best you can, be straightforward — act in good faith and assume it in others. Best of all, be truly present to the fluctuations of your feelings — no matter if they’re “polite” or “timely”. Feelings aren’t facts, but they are information — and heeding them will help you embrace all of who you are.

Know thyself — and love thyself — you shall be set free. Remember: Love connects us to the Power within; Fear causes “Force” to show up — and that’s ultimately what disempowers us and others.

Thursday early afternoon, we are invited to examine our relationship to money, power, and resources (personal and shared). Ask yourself: How can I balance my need for a deeper, more empowered experience with others, against my wish to honor my personal values and desire for freedom?

Also, Thursday early afternoon, we are invited to make some inner adjustments: we feel uneasy or awkward, and need to make a choice — a choice that demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: On the one hand, we have the urge to go deeper and connect with others; on the other hand, we are more aware of triggers and limitations connected to old childhood wounds.

As best as you can, be compassionate and understanding with yourself when feelings of anger come up (and even if shame follows expressions of that anger). Ask yourself: How might 5% more compassion support my relationship with myself and others today?

Friday, March 13th:

Friday, the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Thursday early morning for details).

Friday late morning: we have an opportunity to be very focused and persistent in our pursuits. Digging deeper and doing our research will be valuable for our long-term achievements.

Friday early afternoon, we are likely to experience a sense of ease and flow, but may need to slow down and allow our feelings to come through. A gentle approach is best. We feel good when coming from the heart and making deeper connections with others. Being open to receiving, trusting the process and going with the flow are key!

Friday late afternoon: we have another opportunity to go deeper and see a new perspective — one that supports our long-term goals and aligns them with our need for authentic emotional experiences.

Friday evening, we enjoy a nice feeling of emotional ease, coupled with an ability to trust and connect deeply with others; as best as you can, allow whatever comes up to be beneficial for you.

Friday late evening, we feel good about making deeper connections; we’ll have an opportunity to become fully committed to a project or task, something that might serve us long-term.

Saturday, March 14th:

Saturday, the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio until 7:09am EDT (see Thursday early morning for details).

Saturday at 6:06am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for an hour until 7:09am EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to dig deeper — and also to focus on practicalities and long-term plans. As best as you can, bring a sense of empowerment and focus to your business dealings, release any fears or traumas that keep you stuck in the past, and deepen your connection to what you feel deeply passionate about.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Saturday morning ahead of time.

Saturday morning, an opportune Mars/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 6:32am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Tuesday evening on; it will remain strong until next week, Tuesday (March 17th). This gives us the opportunity to take actions that are in alignment with our dreams and ideals. This is also an opportunity for boundaries to dissolve — to open and relax.

Creative or spiritual activities might be a good fit with this planetary connection. We may feel the need to daydream or inspire others. What might it mean, to take “inspired action”? What might show up in the world? What if you allowed the Universe to co-create with you?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 16-21 degrees of Capricorn, Pisces, Taurus, or Scorpio? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Pisces (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Neptune rules Pisces)

Saturday at 7:09am EDT, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, where it will journey until next week, Monday afternoon (March 16th). We’re strongly motivated to explore and learn. We’re not likely to be big fans of routine — diversity and new adventures work best at this time — we’re also physically restless and need to burn that off with activity and physical exercise.

We tend to feel more open, optimistic and inspired — but we also have a high degree of independence — and taking these two influences together, this means we’d rather inspire others to do things our way, as opposed to issuing or obeying orders. Inspiring others could come easier than normal, as we can see the bigger picture, leaving us confident that others will agree with us, once they see what we see.

As best as you can, speak your truth without assuming that everyone is on the same page as you. Improvisation works well for us at this time, as we are spontaneous and love living on the edge — just watch out you aren’t overdoing or overstating things.

Saturday afternoon, an opportune Sun/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 12:47pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Thursday on; it will remain strong until Monday. This is an opportunity to bring a sense of compassion and creativity to whatever needs restructuring or rebuilding in our lives.

It’s also an opportunity to notice how obsessed we’ve become about manifesting something real/authentic and soften our approach a little. Remember: an opportunity is not automatically given to us; we have to make something of it.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 22-27 degrees of Pisces, Capricorn, Scorpio or Taurus? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Scorpio (the Sun rules Leo; Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio)

Sunday, March 15th:

Sunday, the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Saturday morning for details).

Sunday very early morning, we experience a need for inner adjustments. We feel uneasy or awkward and need to make a choice. Making this choice demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: on the one hand, the desire to mentally explore and go beyond what we already know — and on the other hand, the need for material and physical beauty.

Sunday afternoon, we may need to make some more adjustments. As best you can, honor both your need for adventure and exploration of life and your need to go within. You may feel a pull between introvert and extrovert, or simply fast and slow. Tune in for a moment and see if you need to take a break or at least slow down a little. As best as you can, be compassionate and kind with yourself.

Also, Sunday, Mercury resumes its normal pace through the sky, ending its station. Communication and transportation is now back to “normal” as are any associated gadgets, vehicles, etc. New ideas and information received during the Mercury Retrograde phase (Feb. 16th – March 9th) can now be reviewed. What did you discover about your inner dialogue — especially when it comes to “your intuitive knowing” and your ability to rest & go with the flow— during that time?

And…

A heads up for next Monday (March 16th): the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius until 12:25pm EDT. In the early morning, at 3:42am EDT, Mercury changes signs again, from Aquarius to Pisces; it will journey there until April 11th. At 5:34am EDT, the last Quarter Moon in 26 degrees of Sagittarius becomes exact. Also, at 5:34am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for almost 7 hours until 12:25pm EDT. At that time, the Moon moves into Capricorn, where it will journey until Wednesday late evening. More about all the details in next week’s forecast 🙂
