This week’s headline items: the first Quarter Moon in Virgo becomes exact on Monday late evening; and a long-lasting Jupiter/Neptune Trine becomes exact on Friday early morning. There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday all day until 10:03pm EDT; Wednesday late morning (for 16 hours) and Friday afternoon (for 16.5 hours).

Monday (May 21st)the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo and VoC until 10:03pm EDT. With the Moon in Leo, we may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising. We all love to be admired — or at the very least acknowledged — for our greatness 🙂

So hand out some compliments — let people know how proud you are of them, tell them how much you love them. Come from the heart in this and all other things… be honest and authentic, as best you can. Fun, games, and romance are also a big part of this energy. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones.

If there are no children around, how about getting in touch with your “inner child” — it’s definitely easier for the rest of today. Ask yourself: What am I most grateful for today? What would be heaps and heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, I could  let out a tiny squeak, just thinking of it?

Moon VoC until 10:03pm EDT: we are experiencing two quite different needs, pulling us in different directions: On the one hand, we feel a strong need to have fun and be creative or self-expressed.

On the other hand, we want to explore deep, authentic — even intimate — connections to ourselves or others. Do your best to use this intuitive time to make adjustments, slow things down a little, and find creative solutions that honor both drives.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday late evening and Monday all day ahead of time.

Monday at 10:03pm EDT, the Moon enters detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Wednesday night/Thursday very early morning; turning our focus toward the practical and wholesome. We are generous with our time/services and we love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world — things and knowledge we can apply and use.

Health might come also into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals. This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the first Quarter Moon (exact later this evening).

Monday at 11:49pm EDT, the first Quarter Moon in 1 degree of Virgo becomes exact. We started to feel this aspect build from the moment the Moon entered Virgo. The Moon in detail-oriented, helpful and practical Virgo makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in chatty, fast-thinking and busy Gemini.

We feel compelled to take action. Last week saw the New Moon, on May 15th. “Seeds” planted then are probably “sprouting” by now — and making first real contact with the outside world. This is therefore a time to stretch and grow — and create some forward momentum. We may feel anxious or unusually busy.

As best as you can, go one breath at a time. Allow for changes, remain flexible (as much as possible), and find creative solutions for your day-to-day dealings with others.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in any of the following: 29 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio, or 0-3 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel the effects of this first Quarter Moon more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Tuesday (May 22nd): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Monday late evening for details).

Tuesday afternoon, an opportune Sun/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 2:48pm EDT. We start to feel this aspect build from last Saturday (May 19th) on, it will remain strong until Thursday night. This aspect is an opportunity for self-healing; this could support our confidence and brings us into better alignment with our physical and emotional body.

We all have flaws, wounds, insecurities. The more we can open up to that being ok for ourselves, the less judgmental we will be with others. This is also a great time to recognize that our so-called flaws and insecurities have become some of our best assets and strengths — how might this be true for you?

Until Thursday night, as best as you can, practice gentleness; be kind to yourself and others. Again, remember: an opportunity is an opening, a glimpse of new possibilities — so “opportunities” are not simply handed to us, tied up with a bow — we have to “take” them, and make something of them. What will you do with this particular opportunity?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 29 degrees of Taurus, Pisces, Capricorn, Cancer, or 0-4 degrees of Gemini, Aries, Aquarius or Leo? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (the Sun rules Leo; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces).

Tuesday late evening, an opportune Mercury/Neptune aspect becoming exact at 10:13pm EDT. We start to feel this aspect build from Monday night on, it will remain strong until Thursday morning. This aspect gives us the opportunity to bring compassion and an intuitive approach to our thinking process.

Having faith and connecting to our Higher Selves will be of service to us at this time. Any artistic or spiritual endeavors are likely to do well at this time. Music might help us with our thinking process and ability to get things done.

Let yourself be inspired! A book, a song, a movie, someone else’s words… allow the Universe to speak to you. Open your mind to a higher vibration — and remember, opportunities are openings… they aren’t necessarily handed to us… we have to “take” them and make something of them.

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 14-18 degrees of Taurus, Pisces, Capricorn or Cancer? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Pisces (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Neptune rules Pisces)

Wednesday (May 23rd): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Monday late evening for details).

Tuesday night/Wednesday very early morning, a Mercury/Jupiter opposition becomes exact at 1:54am EDT. We feel this aspect build from Monday; it will remain strong until Thursday evening.

It asks us to balance our personal values and resources against our authentic, emotional connections with others (and any resources we share with them). This could also show up as a need to balance what we think we need to own or have, with our desire for expansion within intimate relationships and shared resources.

Of course, we could conceivably have it both ways — here are some questions you can ask yourself, that might help with this: How might taking a different view of my intimate relationships impact my self-worth? Could I share from a place of self-love and self-honoring,  just 5% more than normal? If I stepped way back from the canvas, what “bigger picture” would I see?

We generally feel quite optimistic at this time, perhaps overly so: The urge to grow and expand is strong, but we can overreach — perhaps by overlooking critical details and thereby miscalculating. We might be inclined to exaggerate, then have a hard time putting our ideas and goals into practice. That said, we can also be extraordinarily funny and interesting at this time, especially in our one-on-one relationships 🙂

Expect a lot of talking and sharing — and possibly some over-thinking or impulsive communication. Impatience is likely a side-effect of this aspect as well… As best as you can, take an “observer” position toward your mind: listen to your thoughts, catch yourself thinking.

In other words: as best as you can, practice listening, to yourself, to others, and to your body. Listening is an art form that makes it easier to tap into our own inner wisdom and our body’s wisdom.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 13-20 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Jupiter of Sagittarius).

Wednesday at 10:55am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that last for 16 hours, until 2:52am EDT Thursday very early morning. Use this intuitive time to empower each other in regards to earthly issues and mutually support each other in practical ways.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Wednesday all day until Thursday very early morning ahead of time.

Wednesday late evening, a harmonious Sun/Mars aspect become exact at 10:39pm EDT; we started feeling this aspect on Friday (May 18th), it has been building since then and will remain strong until the evening of next Monday, May 28th.

This aspect lets us know that we could create connections that bring us a sense of community and belonging, if we were simply to bring conscious awareness to our actions, and create a vision of a future that supports all of us,. It also brings a flow of intellectual stimulation that we can easily discuss and share with others.

We have powerful stores of energy right now that we can draw upon when needed. We respond to problems or challenges with a spirited and enthusiastic confidence that is admirable. We truly believe in equal opportunities and seem to be in love with life. When we express or experience competitiveness, or courage, it’s easy to smile and accept these traits as positive, rather than being rubbed the wrong way. We generally have good mental and physical vitality during this transit.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 0-6 degrees of Gemini, Aquarius, or Libra? If so, you may feel more blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Aries (the Sun rules Leo; Mars rules Aries)

Thursday (May 24th): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo and VoC until 2:52am EDT (see Monday late evening and Wednesday late morning for details).

Thursday at 2:52am EDT, the Moon enters harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Saturday late morning. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.

We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating — and although these next two days are a great time for mediation, our need for peace (and aversion to direct conflict) could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might prefer.

We may also be able to see both sides of the equation so well that we can’t make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm — even if it’s “No” 😉 One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.

Thursday early morning: we become more aware that we need to find a balance between two very different energies — on the one hand,  taking a compassionate approach towards our personal goals, while being assertive in the world — and on the other hand, our need to connect and collaborate with others. Ask yourself: what if taking a compassionate approach towards myself actually made for more fulfilling connections with others?

Thursday morning: starts out harmoniously, even though we feel an urge to make progress, and connect with others about our vision for the future.

Thursday afternoon: we feel a need to stay within our safety zone while also connecting and collaborating — stretch a little, and see if you can find creative ways to connect whilst honoring your need for safety and familiarity. As best as you can, listen to your feeling-body and be kind with yourself and others, if your needs do not align perfectly with others.

Thursday early evening: we are invited to make some adjustments in our lives and find creative solutions to seemingly unsolvable situations. As best as you can, look for solid foundations under any long-term goals currently underway, and for ways to create win-win outcomes for one-on-one relationships.

Friday (May 25): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Thursday very early morning for details).

Friday morning, a long-lasting, harmonious Jupiter/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 5:52am EDT (first one of the year). Due to Jupiter’s and Neptune’s Station phases, we start to feel this aspect build from May 4th on, it will remain strong until July 15th. This brings the potential for deep, spiritual inspiration.

Extravagance or exaggeration are possible during this time; routine is particularly unsatisfying, we easily detour from the practical path. On the other hand, this is a great time for connecting to music or spiritual endeavors — and for enthusiastic heart-centered connection, especially within our intimate relationships.

Our intuition is at an all-time high, as is our ability to explore our traumas and demons; we are also more able to resolve anything that is no longer empowering to us personally — in particular, we can dissolve the fears that have kept us from deepening our relationships — and this is also true on a collective level.

Generosity, compassion and faith will likely increase; we more readily and easily make personal sacrifices for what we see as the greater good. We have a deeper sense that all of us are part of the human family — a sense of the unity that is possible between people, nations and all living things on this planet.

This can be a chance to increase our creativity, perceptiveness and empathy; it’s a time to allow for things to unfold and for seeing the perfection in everything that is.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 13-19 degrees of Scorpio, Pisces, or Cancer? If so, you will be more blessed by this aspect; this is also true for those of us with the Ascendant or Sun-sign in Sagittarius, Capricorn or Pisces (Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces)

Friday late morning, a harmonious Mercury/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 9:38am EDT. We start to feel this aspect build from Wednesday evening on, it will remain strong until Sunday morning. Our words and our “speaking” are very grounded and realistic. We can feel really empowered by what we say (and how we say it) during this time. Our conviction and passion helps us to connect and empower others.

We are strongly connected to our inner truth and can analyze and understand our motivations around long-term goals. We investigate our own thought structures in a very realistic, focused way, and look to see what needs to be communicated next.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 18-24 degrees of Taurus, Capricorn or Virgo? If so, you will be even more blessed by this aspect than those who do not; this is also true for those of us with our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Scorpio (Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo, Pluto rules Scorpio)

Friday at 5:04pm EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that last for 16.5 hours, until 9:39am EDT Saturday late morning. Use this intuitive time to make some adjustments and find creative ways to work with the energies at play: On the one hand, as best as you can, collaborate with others and play nice, on the other hand, be authentic and truthful about what we want to build long-term.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Friday late afternoon until Saturday late morning ahead of time.

Saturday (May 26th): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra and VoC until 9:39am EDT (see Thursday very early morning and Friday late afternoon for details).

Saturday very early morning, a Venus/Saturn opposition becomes exact at 2:40am EDT. We start to feel this aspect build from Wednesday evening on, it will remain strong until next Monday evening (May 28th). This might be a time of relationship tests or trials: we may not be attracting the things and people that we want in our lives — at least, not as easily as we were before this transit.

This can be eye-opening — a signal to work on improving the “ways” (as well as the “things”) that we bring to partnerships or to our finances. Doubts could be raised now. But what’s really required is that we slow things down and be as realistic as we can possibly be.

We could be withdrawing or holding back a little, as we attempt to figure out what we want and need — and what we can give. We are working towards ridding ourselves of self-delusion when it comes to partnerships, socializing and finances. In the process, we might feel disdain for inauthentic interactions and resent “going through the motions” on a social and/or mental level.

Our goal here is to make more connections aligned with our own truth. Relationships built on weak foundations may not survive, but stronger ones can be improved and strengthened. Financial matters might be stressful for the time being; this forces us into a position of conservation and moderation. As best as you can, find your inner balance with this — and on an external level with others.

Think back to late Dec., 2017, when Venus was conjunct Saturn in Capricorn. With Venus opposing Saturn now, we can start to see the fruits of the seeds that were planted back then. So: What were the seeds? What are the fruits?

In other words: What has emerged since late December, in regards to who and what you value? We are also now more aware of what we have (and haven’t) learned since then… Do you like what you see? Is there room for more learning, more integration?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 5-11 degrees of Cancer, Capricorn, Aries, or Libra? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Capricorn (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn rules Capricorn)

Saturday at 9:39am EDT, the Moon enters passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until next week, Monday evening (May 28th). We feel things deeply and have “X-Ray Vision” and “Bullshit-Smelling Abilities” 😉

Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us at this time; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as flat-out dishonest. Once we feel safe trusting someone, we want to merge with them, preferably forever… as long as our trust is never betrayed.

The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. This occurs by a process of subtraction — it urges us to let go of whatever disempowers us. It’s thus an excellent time to look at “old” fears, limiting habits or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.

Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity — it’s “in or out”, “with us or against us”, “love me or leave me”. It can thus be stormy — a cold winter storm, or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we “work” the energies 🙂

Manipulation and paranoia are the lower vibrations of this aspect, so do your very best to be straightforward — act in good faith and assume it in others. Best of all, be truly present to the fluctuations of your feelings — no matter if they’re “polite” or “timely”. Feelings aren’t facts, but they are information — and heeding them will help you embrace all of who you are.

Know thyself — and love thyself — you shall be set free. Remember: Love connects us to the Power within; Fear causes “Force” to show up — and that’s ultimately what disempowers us and others.

Sunday (May 27th): the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Saturday late morning for details).

Saturday night/Sunday very early morning: for the next several hours, we enjoy familiar company and surroundings — our home is our castle.

Sunday early morning: we are invited to connect with others on a deep emotional level, and explore new points of views about our ability to make authentic connections.

Sunday late afternoon: we are likely to experience a sense of ease and flow, but may need to slow down and allow our feelings to come through. A gentle approach is best. We feel good when coming from the heart and making deeper connections with others. Being open to receiving and going with the flow are key!

A heads up for next Monday (May 28th): the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio until 6:29pm EDT. At 1:25pm EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course, that last for 5 hours, until 6:29pm EDT. Also, on Monday at 6:29pm EDT, the Moon enters optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, where it will journey until Thursday morning. This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the Full Moon (exact next week, Tuesday late morning). More about the details in next weeks forecast.
