Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, May 4th:
Monday, the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo and VoC until 3:09am EDT; at that time, the Moon enters harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until very early Wednesday early morning. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.
We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time, and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. These next two days are a great time for mediation — but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might like.
We may also be able see both sides of the equation so well that we can’t make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm — even if it’s “No” 😉 One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.
Monday late afternoon, a Sun/Mercury alignment in 15 degrees of Taurus becomes exact at 5:41pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Saturday morning (May 2nd) on; and it will be strong until this Thursday. When the Sun and Mercury come together, we are especially sharp, communicative, and open. This aspect indicates a confident mind and an analytical approach to life.
Intelligence and communication abilities are strong. We can expect a no-nonsense approach to decision-making. Ideas tend to be practical and useful.
That said, we may not listen as well as the other speaks — we might be too busy thinking about what to say next. Words matter now, so choose them wisely: If people hung on your every word, what would you say then? What would you hold back from saying?
Our opinions are usually strong during this time; we like to think independently and are proud of our opinions and our thoughts. For this reason, our egos might get bruised if we are not “heard” — if our opinions are pushed aside, ignored or criticized. As best as you can, express yourself fully, knowing that others may have different opinions… and that’s ok.
We may dig in our heals, but find it does not serve us, so choose your battles wisely and seek peace wherever possible.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 12-18 degrees of Scorpio, Taurus, Aquarius or Leo ? If so, you will be more affected by this alignment. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo, Gemini or Virgo (the Sun rules Leo; Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo).
Also on Monday, the Saturn’s station intensifies until May 16th. “Stationing” is when a planet moves more slowly through the sky. When a planet stations, its energy becomes more “exalted”; in the case of Saturn, this means we all feel the need to more fully face what is currently so, our actual reality.
Saturn has to do with doing what needs to be done — so we can fully understand the practical implications of our reality, and the consequences of our past actions. Saturn also represents our structures, responsibilities, commitments and ability to “do” life, on life’s terms.
As spirit beings in a physical world, it’s best to observe the laws of the physical world. The sooner we learn to “play by the rules”, the easier life gets. Saturn also represents time and the “domain” of time: growing up, maturing, understanding and acknowledging our limitations, setting healthy boundaries with others, living with integrity, being authentic and truthful, being serious and focused on building something of value to society.
Saturn is our teacher. If you had a cosmic teacher, where would your personal “Earth Classes” be focused, right now? Where are you being asked to take a more serious look at your social affiliations, communities (in-person or online), or group causes? Do they truly resonate with your personal vision for the future? Does participation in those groups or networks align with who you are now? What requires a more mature approach in those areas?
What calls for a commitment towards a larger future vision? What will time do?
As best as you can during the time of the station, bring flexibility and open-mindedness to any frustrations. This more intensified Station-phase will last until May 16th; and Saturn starts its 4-month Retrograde phase on Monday, May 11th in almost 2 degrees of Aquarius (more on that next week). Is your Sun-sign or Ascendant in Capricorn or Aquarius? If so, you are…

Is your Sun-sign or Ascendant in Capricorn or Aquarius? Or perhaps you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 0-4 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, or Scorpio? If so, you are more affected by this planet’s Station phase.
Tuesday, May 5th:
Tuesday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Monday very early morning for details).
Very early on Tuesday, at 12:49am EDT, the Moon Nodes switch from Cancer/Capricorn to Gemini/Sagittarius; they will remain in those signs until January 2022! The last time the Moon Nodes were in these particular signs was back in October, 2001 – April 2003.
The Moon Nodes show us what our Soul’s Journey currently requires on the collective and personal levels — let’s take a closer look at what this means:
The goal of the collective Soul’s journey is to balance and integrate two apparently opposite energies: our connection to information and communication (symbolized by Gemini), and our ability to see and go beyond the day-to-day, developing a wider perspective and ability to explore new paths, while honoring our direct experience (linked to Sagittarius). This will require a close look at the balance between our mental processes and our quest for a larger truth or meaning.
This is also about becoming more conscious about our belief systems, perspectives, and attitudes towards life. It’s important to realize that the Sagittarian urge to “go beyond” is essential for our growth; in terms of balancing these energies, that same urge plays a crucial role in how we interact with others and share information (Gemini).
What does the North Node In Gemini invite us to strive for? click here to read a whole article on the subject!
Tuesday at 10:31pm EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for a little over 4.5 hours until 3:05am EDT (Wednesday very early morning). Use this intuitive time to make some adjustments in your life and find creative solutions to seemingly unsolvable situations.
As best as you can, look to expand your perspectives around any long-term goals you are currently pursuing, and find ways to create win-win outcomes for your various one-on-one relationships.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Tuesday late evening until Wednesday very early morning ahead of time.
Wednesday, May 6th:
Wednesday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra and VoC until 3:05am EDT (see Monday very early morning and Tuesday late evening for details).
Wednesday at 3:05am EDT, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until very early morning on Friday. We feel things deeply and have “X-Ray Vision” and “Bullshit-Smelling Abilities”.
Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us at this time; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as flat-out dishonest. Once we feel safe trusting someone, we want to merge with them, preferably forever… as long as our trust is never betrayed.
The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. This occurs by a process of subtraction — it urges us to let go of whatever disempowers us. It’s therefore an excellent time to look at “old” fears, limiting habits or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.
Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity — it’s “in or out”, “with us or against us”, “love me or leave me”. It can therefore be stormy — a cold winter storm, or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we “work” the energies 🙂 This Moon placement starts the build up towards the Full Moon (exact Thursday morning).
Wednesday afternoon, we are invited to examine our relationship to money, power, and resources (personal and shared). Ask yourself: How can I balance my need for a deeper, more empowered experience with others, against my wish to honor my personal values and desire for freedom?
Wednesday mid-afternoon, we are invited to make some inner adjustments: we feel uneasy or awkward, and need to make a choice — a choice that demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: On the one hand, we have the urge to go deeper and connect with others; on the other hand, we are more aware of triggers and limitations connected to old childhood wounds.
As best as you can, be compassionate and understanding with yourself when feelings of anger come up (and even if shame follows expressions of that anger). Ask yourself: How might 5% more compassion support my relationship with myself and others today?
Also, on Wednesday, the Venus Station intensifies, Venus starts to slow down even more (station) — the planet’s movement through the sky appears from Earth to be slowing down; it’s actually getting ready to come to a halt (and starting her 6-week Retrograde phase) on May 13th. The station brings all relationship, self-worth and financial issues to the forefront.
This intensified stationing period lasts until May 18th, bringing into focus what we do and don’t have; until then, we are more aware of our relationships or the lack thereof. This forces us to look at who we value (including ourselves) and at what is truly important to us on a Soul-level. It’s important to pay attention now — when Venus goes retrograde, we’ll get a chance to connect to all these issues from the inside.
Is your Sun sign or Ascendant in Taurus or Gemini? Or do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 18-24 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, or Pisces? If so, you will feel a stronger connection to this Venus station.
Thursday, May 7th:
Thursday, the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Wednesday very early morning for details).
Thursday morning, an opportune Mercury/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 6:42am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Wednesday morning on; and it will be strong until Friday morning. This aspect gives us the opportunity to bring compassion and an intuitive approach to our thinking process.
Having faith and connecting to our Higher Selves will be of service to us at this time. Any artistic or spiritual endeavors are likely to do well at this time. Music might help us with our thinking process and ability to get things done.
Let yourself be inspired! A book, a song, a movie, someone else’s words… allow the Universe to speak to you. Open your mind to a higher vibration — and remember, opportunities are openings… they aren’t necessarily handed to us… we have to “take” them and make something of them.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 18-22 degrees of Taurus, Pisces, Capricorn or Cancer? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Pisces (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Neptune rules Pisces)
Thursday morning, at 6:45am EDT, the Full Moon in almost 17.5 degrees of Scorpio becomes exact. The Moon in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio opposes the Sun in steady, peaceful Taurus. To watch my Full Moon video, click here.
There are many Station phases going on simultaneously this month, as a lot of planets are starting their Retrograde phases. Pluto, the ruler of Scorpio, was the first one to go retrograde, on April 25th — and its Station phase will still last until May 17th, which makes this planet more exalted until then.
Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn are exalted in the sky as well. All three of those planets will start their various Retrograde phases within three days of each other, between May 11th and May 14th. Since Venus rules Taurus, we have both planetary rulers of this Full Moon exalted at this time — a rare occasion 🙂 We will talk about this in more detail in a moment, but first….
This Full Moon shows us how far we have come, as well as what we must still release or transform, if we are to manifest what was begun at the time of the New Moon that occurred on April 22nd.
For the next two weeks, we seek the balance and integration of two polarities — and we are more aware that something needs to be brought into alignment. The balance in question is between our physical attachments, aversions, and connections — symbolized by Taurus— and our emotional attachments, aversions, and connections (Scorpio).
The time of the Full Moon is always more extroverted and emotional; this particular one invites us to let go of fears or disempowering behaviors, and thereby break through to the next level of our evolution, individually and collectively speaking.
So, here’s this Full Moon’s central question: As a society, are we living in alignment with our values, with what makes us happy and satisfied? As individuals? Do we feel empowered and emotionally fulfilled?
All right, let’s look at the signs involved in this polarity, beginning with Taurus: Taurus seeks… To read the whole Full Moon article, and get all the Coaching questions, click here.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 15-20 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you are more affected by this month’s Full Moon. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
Thursday at 10:39pm EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for a little over 4.5 hours, until 3:15am EDT (Friday very early morning). Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to more deeply trust your inner processes, and explore new perspectives, both professionally and around long-term goals. What might this look like for you?
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday evening until Friday very early morning ahead of time.
Friday, May 8th:
Friday, the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio and VoC until 3:15am EDT; at that time, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, where it will journey until Sunday early morning. New experiences and adventures satisfy a deep emotional need. The Sagittarius Moon persuades us to come from intuition and think in a broader manner.
We seek meaning and ideas that expand upon the “here and now”; we pursue truth and a new vision — the big picture, rather than the details. Spontaneity is key, we’d rather improvise than plan; this may tip into just “winging it”. We could also overdo or overstate.
Friday morning, we have an opportunity to connect and collaborate with like-minded people, focus on the bigger picture, or simply commit to something that gets us excited about the future.
Friday afternoon, we experience a need for inner adjustments. We feel uneasy or awkward and need to make a choice. Making this choice demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: on the one hand, the desire to mentally explore and go beyond what we already know — and on the other hand, the need for breakthroughs or change connected to the physical plane.
We need to ask ourselves here: What might become possible if I got 5% more comfortable with being uncomfortable? Or 5% more comfortable embracing uncertainty?
Friday mid-late afternoon, we might find ourselves wanting to explore a new healing modality for body, mind, and heart, aimed at a renewing our enthusiasm for life. We are capable of being compassionate and forgiving with ourselves at this time — and a gentle and holistic approach is best.
Saturday, May 9th:
Saturday, the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Friday very early morning for details).
Saturday morning, a harmonious Mercury/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 9:17am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Thursday night on; and it will be strong until Sunday evening. Our words and our “speaking” are very grounded and realistic. We can feel really empowered by what we say (and how we say it) during this time. Our conviction and passion helps us to connect and empower others.
We are strongly connected to our inner truth and can analyze and understand our motivations around long-term goals. We investigate our own thought structures in a very realistic, focused way, and look to see what needs to be communicated next.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 22-28 degrees of Taurus, Capricorn or Virgo? If so, you will be even more blessed by this aspect than those who do not; this is also true for those of us with our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Scorpio (Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo, Pluto rules Scorpio)
Saturday late morning, we experience a need for inner adjustments. We feel uneasy or awkward and need to make a choice. Making this choice demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: on the one hand, the need to mentally explore and go beyond what we already know — and on the other hand, the an awareness connected to the physical plane, and being grounded in reality.
Saturday early afternoon, we may need to make some adjustments. As best you can, honor both your need for adventure and exploration of life and your need to go within. You may feel a pull between introvert and extrovert, or simply fast and slow. Tune in for a moment and see if you need to take a break or at least slow down a little. As best as you can, be compassionate and kind with yourself.
Saturday afternoon, we are asked to balance our need to venture beyond our day-to-day mind with our desire for mentally stimulating encounters. What types of conversation might support this balance?
Sunday, May 10th:
Sunday, the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius until 5:39am EDT (see Friday very early morning for details).
Sunday at 2:11am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for 3.5 hours until 5:39am EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to connect and collaborate with like-minded people, have an adventure, or take action in support of a group cause.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday very early morning until the early morning ahead of time.
Sunday at 5:39am EDT, the Moon moves into practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until next week Tuesday late morning (May 12th). We tend to be more realistic, serious, cautious; this can support practical endeavors and financial matters.
Our ambition surges and brings with it a need for structure and planning; when you add in the pragmatism this aspect supports, you can see how this could be a very productive time for business and long-term goals. Our reputation becomes very important to us.
As best as you can during this aspect, avoid “should-ing” on yourself. Take the pressure off, perhaps by saying “I am doing the best I can and that’s all I can ever do” 😉
Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn — and it will be transiting through Aquarius until July 1st, making this a great time to take a look at our visions for humanity, and at anything we would like to accomplish long-term within our communities (locally or online).
It’s also a great time to take a more serious look at our various networks and connections to like-minded people; as best as you can, be authentic about your affiliations: Do they truly resonate with your personal vision for the future — as it stands now, rather than what it was 5 or 10 years ago? Does participation in those groups or networks align with who you are now, and with where you see yourself 5 years from now? What do you truly want to commit yourself to?
Sunday late morning, a harmonious Mercury/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 10:36am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Saturday morning on; and it will be strong until Monday evening (May 11th). During this aspect, we are more optimistic and realistic, which is good, since we see the bigger picture, communicate more positively and readily inspire others.
We are tolerant of other perspectives and ideas, naturally avoid narrow-minded thinking, and feel at ease reconnecting with people from all walks of life; we might be drawn to explore business relations with people from other cultures and countries, or to learn a foreign language that would support our business connections.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 24-29 degrees of Taurus, Capricorn, Virgo, or 0 degrees of Gemini, Aquarius, or Libra? If so, you will feel most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Jupiter of Sagittarius).
Sunday early afternoon, an opportune Sun/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 12:16pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Friday morning on; and it will be strong until Tuesday. This aspect is an opportunity both to dissolve what no longer serves us, and to connect to our intuition. We definitely feel inspired.
Charitable acts lift our spirits — our capacity for compassion (both toward ourselves and others) is quite strong, especially if we are able to acknowledge it. Dreams and reality find a way to work together now — any spiritual or creative endeavors that are started during this time will most likely do very well. Remember: this is an “opportunity” — it isn’t just handed to us, we have to make it happen.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 18-23 degrees of Taurus, Pisces, Capricorn or Cancer? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (the Sun rules Leo; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces).
And…
A heads up for next Monday (May 11th): The Moon remains in ambitious, goal-oriented Capricorn all day (see Sunday early morning for details). At 12:09am EDT, Saturn comes to a halt — starting its 4.5-month Retrograde phase. Monday very early morning, a challenging Mercury/Mars aspect becomes exact at 3:33am EDT; we started to feel this aspect build from Saturday (May 9th) on; it will be strong until Wednesday morning (May 13th). At 5:58pm EDT, Mercury changes signs from Taurus to Gemini. Also, on Monday, Jupiter’s station intensifies until May 18th. More about all the details in next week’s forecast : )
