Disempowering Tendencies Must Be Left Behind

This week’s headline items: Venus enters her pre-Shadow phase in Capricorn on Wednesday afternoon; a powerful Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse in Taurus becomes exact on Friday early morning; on Saturday, Neptune starts to slow down (station), preparing to end its Retrograde phase; the Sun changes signs from Scorpio to Sagittarius on Sunday late evening.

There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday late morning (for 10.5 hours); Friday early morning (for 5.5 hours); and Sunday late morning (for almost 12 hours).

Before we get to this week’s forecast, I’d like to mention:

Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, November 15th:

Monday, the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day. Life is an adventure, we’re more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately.

Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body’s excess energy.

Monday very early morning, a challenging Venus/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 3:07am EST. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Thursday evening (Nov. 11th) on; and it will remain strong until this Thursday (Nov. 18th). This aspect asks us to stretch past injuries and insecurities in our relationships, self-worth and finances. If we can bring compassion and a different point of view to these issues, we will reach a new understanding of ourselves and our life journey.

We have the opportunity to learn from one another; ironically though, social insecurities can be magnified at this time. Whenever Chiron is involved, we are being asked to do some healing work. As best as you can, use this time to learn about your sore spots. Nobody is perfect: we all have our flaws and idiosyncrasies. It’s ok.

If you get triggered by someone, as best as you can, take it as an opportunity to see where this trigger originated — probably in your childhood. Bring love and compassion to yourself as you are, and as you were. Allow any feelings this may stir up in you. A feeling is just energy that wants to be experienced; it wants to move through us and out.

The more we resist or suppress our feelings, the more we keep them spinning in place. As best as you can, move from the head to the heart. What might change, if you had 5% more compassion with yourself and others? What if you just decided to have faith in the healing process?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 6-12 degrees of Capricorn, Aries, Cancer, or Libra? If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra).

Monday afternoon, a challenging Sun/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 2:58pm EST. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Friday (Nov. 12th) on; and it will remain strong until this Thursday evening (Nov. 18th). This aspect says “stretch and grow!”. There is a feeling of enthusiasm and excitement in the air; it almost seems as if we could move mountains.

Awareness is key: Be alert for undue optimism, that could lead to overextending or over-promising: As best as you can, stay connected to what’s real — avoid exaggerations, especially around mental or social concepts in general, and visions for the future in particular.

This is a time for collaboration and for coming together — provided we don’t let ourselves get too overwhelmed by those historically-based emotional demons. As best as you can, take it one moment at a time, staying grounded in your vision for life.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 20-27 degrees of Scorpio, Aquarius, Taurus or Leo? An Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Sagittarius? If so, you will be….

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 20-27 degrees of Scorpio, Aquarius, Taurus or Leo? If so, you will be more aware of this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Sagittarius (the Sun rules Leo; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).

Tuesday, Nov. 16th:

Tuesday, the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries until 9:18pm EST (see Monday morning for details).

Tuesday until midnight EST, is your last chance to take advantage of the EARLY BIRD SPECIAL for the upcoming Forecasting Forum.

Tuesday late morning, at 10:51am EST, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for 10.5 hours, until 9:18pm EST. Use this intuitive time to make some adjustments and find creative ways to work with the energies at play: On the one hand, as best as you can, follow your inner compass and take care of your own needs; on the other hand, deepen your authentic connection to whatever you are building long-term.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Tuesday late morning until the late evening ahead of time.

Tuesday late afternoon, an opportune Sun/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 4:01pm EST. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Sunday evening (Nov.14th) on; and it will remain strong until this Thursday evening. This is an opportunity to bring a deeper emotional connection to whatever needs restructuring or rebuilding.

It’s also an opportunity to notice how obsessed we’ve become about manifesting something real — and to let go of fears connected to our long-term goals. Remember: an opportunity is not automatically given to us; we have to make something of it.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 23-27 degrees of Scorpio, Capricorn, Pisces or Virgo? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Scorpio (the Sun rules Leo; Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio)

Tuesday at 9:18pm EST, the Moon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will journey until Friday late morning. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well. In other words: change is not our favorite thing and “rushing things” goes against our grain.

What is our favorite thing for the next three days? It’s probably slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses 😉 This Moon placement also starts the build up towards the upcoming Lunar Eclipse, a very powerful Full Moon (exact Friday early morning).

Wednesday, Nov. 17th:

Wednesday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Tuesday evening for details).

Wednesday early afternoon, a Mars/Uranus opposition becomes exact at 12:23pm EST. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Saturday evening (Nov. 13th) on; and it will remain strong until this Sunday evening.

We may have a strong urge to step into our ‘passionate warrior”, and more deeply connect (perhaps even merge) with others and ourselves — but bear in mind that any “warrior” energy can provoke conflict, within and without — we need to strike a balance between honoring ourselves and what we value, versus a deep, healthy relationship with others and their resources.

One way to find this balance is to remember that we need other people, if we are to share our talents and become whole — and that disempowering tendencies must be left behind on our journey towards wholeness. What does a healthy relationship with yourself and others look like to you? What role do “attachments” play in all of this?

Uranus urges us to let go of traditional values and focus on a better future for everyone involved. We may feel restless and impatient; we can be very demanding and difficult to please. We tend to feel like progress is too slow and we are tired of waiting.

Do your best to channel the “choppy” energy in a productive way — physical exercise is great for this, as is consciously breaking away from relationships or situations that have limited you — and we may well experience sudden insights in connection to other people or a situation in our lives. As best as you can, stay grounded and keep breathing regularly 🙂

Flexibility and open-mindedness are always helpful but are especially important now. Notice when you are digging your heels in about something, this is usually a sign that you have some underlying anxiety about something else; again, take a deep breath, get centered in your body, close your eyes and focus on your third eye.

Ask yourself: What am I afraid of happening? How might I channel this restless energy into projects that are asking for progress? How might I channel, or just burn off, all this erratic energy? What kind of exercise might be an energetic match? Where am I stagnating?

Think back to mid-late January (2021), when Mars aligned with Uranus in almost 7º of Taurus: What got started around then? With Mars opposing Uranus now, we can start to see the fruits of the seeds that were planted back then — or at least are more aware how far we have come. In other words: What has emerged since mid January of this year? Where do we go from here?

Do you have your Ascendant or personal planets in 9-16 degrees of Scorpio, Taurus, Aquarius, or Leo? If so, you will feel the effects of this opposition more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Aquarius (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius)

Wednesday, around 4pm EST, Venus enters her pre-Shadow phase, as she reaches 11º05′ of Capricorn. This lasts until Dec. 19th (when Venus starts her Retrograde phase). What is the pre-Shadow-phase?

It is the time period when Venus moves over territory she will later revisit both during her Retrograde phase (Dec. 19th – Jan. 29th), and then again during her post-Shadow phase (Jan. 29th – March 1st). In other words she will move over the same territory (11º – 26.5º of Capricorn) three times!

Between now and Dec. 19th, it is crucial that we pay extra attention to anything that shows up in regards to physical matter, our values, our honoring of our talents and body, relationships, appreciation of the physical realm, and the goals we have when it comes to collaborations or finances.

If possible, make notes, mental or written, so when Venus starts her Retrograde phase, you can come back to those notes and evaluate their viability.

We will address the Venus Retrograde phase in Capricorn in more detail in our December Forecasting Forum (live on Dec. 17th at 2pm EST).

Some of the questions we will address in relationship to your own Birth chart: What values need to be reassessed in connection with long-term goals and achievements out there in the world? What values need to be reassessed in my relationships? My finances? What works? What doesn’t? What might a closer look reveal?

Thursday late morning, a harmonious Mercury/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 10:38am EST. We started to feel this aspect build from Tuesday late morning on; and it will remain strong until Saturday morning. This aspect supports imaginative thinking and the ability to connect our day-to-day mind with our intuition.

We pick up on what is going on with people, and can flow with that, as we can sense how our words land. This heightened sensitivity to subtle signals also opens us to metaphysical or spiritual concepts, visual arts, poetry — and to commercial messaging from advertisers and marketers.

Do you have any of your personal planets or Ascendant in 17-24 degrees of Scorpio, Pisces or Cancer? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo, or Pisces (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Neptune rules Pisces).

Thursday afternoon: we are being asked to find a balance between what we need and enjoy in the physical realm, versus going deeper on an intimate level with ourselves and others, and being interested in our own experience of wholeness and emotional satisfaction. (Moon in Taurus opposes Mercury in Scorpio, exact at 2:48pm EST)

Thursday late evening: On the one hand, we wish for peace and physical comfort — and on the other, for a new understanding of our future visions — it’s important for us to explore what it could mean for humanity. We may need to make some adjustments between these two needs that are seemingly at odds. (Moon in Taurus squares Jupiter in Aquarius, exact at 9:23pm EST)

Thursday night/Friday very early morning, a harmonious Venus/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 1:08am EST. We started to feel this aspect build from Monday morning on; and it will remain strong until next week, Monday evening (Nov. 22nd). This aspect helps us to embrace all that is new and unusual. We are ready to experiment — but not to commit. We have an offbeat, pleasant attitude and people are more willing to socialize.

This is an especially good time for financial undertakings involving any of the following: technology and the internet; metaphysics; the arts; group activities. We experience less fear around taking risks at this time, this could be a good couple of days for the stock market indexes…or at the very least, an unpredictable one 🙂

Ask yourself: What do I picture when I imagine revolutionary business or social practices that support my values and make life tangibly more enjoyable for everyone who interacts with me? What might that teach me about my unique talents or value to the world? If I wanted to experience a breakthrough with my career or long-term goals, what might that look like?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 9-15 degrees of Capricorn, Taurus, or Virgo? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Aquarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Uranus rules Aquarius)

Friday, very early morning, at 3:57am ESTthe Moon opposes the Sun (in 27 degrees of Taurus/Scorpio). As mentioned above, the entrance of the Moon into Taurus (on Tuesday evening) began the energetic build up towards this powerful Full Moon.

This powerful Full Moon is also a Lunar Eclipse. Every six months, the Sun, Moon, & Earth align precisely enough for Solar and Lunar Eclipses to occur, generally (though not always) in pairs of one Lunar and one Solar Eclipse.

This particular Lunar Eclipse is the first of two Eclipses within a two-week period; it offers an opportunity for a deeper, more authentic connection with ourselves and others.

During a Lunar Eclipse, the Full Moon slowly dims as it passes through the Earth’s shadow, stimulating our emotional body and increasing our awareness of unconscious patterns and fears. If you’d like to learn more, and as a Member of my online community, click here to watch my Lunar Eclipse video.

Eclipses are always powerfully connected to the Moon Nodes and thus to our Soul’s Journey (both collectively and individually). All Eclipses transmit new energetic codes and transformative downloads, symbolized by the signs involved, in this case: The Moon is in steady, peaceful Taurus, while the Sun is in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio.

The more receptive we are to these transformative downloads, the more quickly and easily we can integrate them; time in nature, meditation, art, and spiritual endeavors support this integration process and help us better attune to these evolutionary upgrades.

Relationships of all kinds are highlighted during this time — but with this powerful Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse, there is a particularly strong emphasis both on self-value and on intimate relationships. Full Moons also illuminate the truth and consequences of our choices.

We become aware of what has been suppressed or ignored — or, this being a North Node Eclipse, what needs to be embraced, integrated, and explored — in regards to the Taurus energy.

It’s been 19 years since we experienced a Lunar Eclipse in this degree of Taurus. Think back to Nov. 19th, 2002: What did I need to integrate back then? What became more clear at that time, in regards to exploring my talents? What about my self-worth? Was I able to see my value? What about my relationship to money? To my physical reality? My Body? My ability to receive pleasure? To experience peace? Where do I need to take this to the next level?

We will also address the upcoming Eclipses in our next Forecasting Forum on Nov. 19th, the day of the Lunar Eclipse! Feel free to join us, if you would like to know how these powerful Lunations will impact you personally.

Lots of planets are involved in this powerful Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse chart — two T-Squares, both of them with the Focus Point in Aquarius, and the empty leg in Leo. The ruler of Taurus (Venus) and the ruler of Scorpio (Pluto) are both in Capricorn at the time of this Lunation, making this sign an important place to look for how this Eclipse plays out in our lives. More about the specifics in regards to all of this in a moment….

The Moon Nodes are usually in the same sign as an Eclipse, but there are exceptions — those times where the Moon Nodes have not yet moved into the new polarity, but the Full Moon (or New Moon) is within 15 degrees of the transiting Moon Nodes, and therefore close enough to the Lunation to create an Eclipse effect.

This Full Moon is the first Lunar Eclipse in the Taurus-Scorpio polarity, and therefore provides a preview of what we can expect when the Moon Nodes start their journey through Taurus/Scorpio  –– a process which unfolds between Jan. 18th, 2022 and July 17th, 2023.

This constitutes a new collective Soul’s Journey, one that puts an emphasis on…. to read the whole article and get access to all the Coaching Questions in writing, click here.

Because Eclipses are so powerful, they require a bigger orb than a regular Full or New Moon. I usually use a 5º orb instead of 2º… so since this Lunar Eclipse takes place in 27 degrees of Taurus:

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 22-29 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo, Aquarius, or 0-2 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, or Pisces? If so, you are more affected by this month’s powerful Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Friday at 3:57am EST, when the Lunar Eclipse becomes exact, we also enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for 5.5 hours, until 9:33am EST. Use this intuitive time to balance your desire for intimacy, emotional authenticity, and depth, against your need for peace, quiet, and physical stability.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Friday early morning until late morning ahead of time.

Friday at 9:33am EST, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Sunday late evening. For the next 2.5 days, we like to learn, connect and interact as much as possible. “Busy” feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way…

The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead 🙂

Saturday, Nov. 20th:

Saturday, the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini all day (see Friday late morning for details).

Saturday evening, a challenging Mercury/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 6:43pm EST. We started to feel this aspect build from Thursday evening on; and it will remain strong until next week, Monday evening (Nov. 22nd). This aspect asks that we grow and evolve in the following areas: how we communicate, think, and what (or how) we share.

We may have to find creative solutions to communicate; we may have to learn about our thinking process and conditioning. “Listening” might not be our strong suit at this time: we want to share our opinions, concepts, and long-term visions without limitations — and are thus inclined toward exaggeration, often unintended.

We might experience fears and have trouble agreeing how to put our ideas into practice. The upside to all this: we can be extraordinarily funny, interesting and creative.

Impatience and self-righteousness might show up, but moving faster or obsessing will not necessarily get us where we would like to be. What if you slowed down just 5% when connecting with others? What if that helped you listen 5% more? What might become possible in your collaborations if you were 5% more aware of what you are assuming in any given moment? What about your expectations? How realistic are they?

If we were being completely honest with ourselves, is “being right” really all that it’s cracked up to be? Do you feel a greater or lesser connection to others when you insist on “being right”?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 20-27 degrees of Scorpio, Aquarius, Leo or Taurus? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).

Saturday, Neptune starts to slow down (and will appear to move more slowly through the sky until Dec. 17th). It is getting ready to go direct again on Dec. 1st, when the 5-month Retrograde phase that started on June 25th comes to an end.

A planet’s energies are more exalted during it’s “station period”; this has even more weight for an outer planet, as they move more slowly and their stations last much longer. This Neptune station is particularly strong, since it occurs in Pisces, its own sign.

Neptune represents things like universal love, our inner divinity, spirituality, inspiration, compassion, faith — plus creative and imaginative realms such as music or film — while the shadow side is confusion, illusion and escapism of all kinds. We start to be aware of all those energies more fully in our lives.

This awareness helps us to connect more fully to those energies as they exist within us. We can then see where we need to either embrace them more fully, or connect to them in a healthy way, that doesn’t involve getting lost in the murky lower vibrations of their expression.

Some of us will feel the effects of this station more than others: those of us with a Pisces Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) — and those of us with personal planets and points in 18-23 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini or Sagittarius.

Sunday, Nov. 21st:

Sunday, the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini until 10:33pm EST. (see Friday late morning for details).

Sunday early morning, an opportune Mercury/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 4:14am EST. We started to feel this aspect build from Friday night on; and it will remain strong until next week, Monday morning (Nov. 22nd). This aspect provides an opportunity to restructure or rebuild areas of our lives that need it.

It’s also an opportunity to do more research toward building something meaningful, all while learning about our authentic motivations; as best as you can, dig deeper — and keep your heart open — a fearful approach is not recommended. Remember: opportunities aren’t “automatic”… we have to go after them, realize them.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or any personal planets in 22-27 degrees of Scorpio, Capricorn, Pisces or Virgo? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Scorpio (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Pluto rules Scorpio).

Sunday late morning, at 10:52am EST, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for a little over almost 12 hours, until 10:33pm EST. Use this intuitive time to connect with like-minded people, expand each other’s minds, and share information that allows us to see the bigger picture.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday late morning until the late evening ahead of time.

Sunday at 9:34pm EST, the Sun changes signs from passionate, intense, all-or-nothing Scorpio to adventurous, optimistic, freedom-loving Sagittarius. The Sun will journey here until Dec. 21st. For the next four weeks, we may feel a little more restless than usual. We are more aware of our sense of humor and our love for freedom. Our approach to life at this time tends to be direct and honest.

We may want to connect to people from all walks of life right now, just so we can learn about others. We tend to feel more optimistic during this time; this may get us into trouble if we go overboard and only take an idealistic point of view. Wanting to learn, explore and have fun gives us vitality and zest for life. What would open you up to a new adventure?

All this is especially true if you are a Leo or Sagittarius Sun-sign or Rising-sign. As a Sagittarius, you will feel a good dose of confidence and playfulness in the next four weeks; as a Leo, you are more adventurous and restless than usual…exploring something new might be just the thing for you to do.

Sunday at 10:33pm EST, the Moon moves into protective, nurturing Cancer, where it will journey until next week, Wednesday late morning (Nov. 24th). With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say and therefore our feelings are more easily hurt — so be kind to yourself and others. Self-Care is key for the next two days 😉

Emotional safety is important to us as well; we like connecting to the familiar and we enjoy nurturing ourselves and others — home and family call to us, for instance. Make sure though, that your glass is filled before letting others drink from it, otherwise you might start to feel drained and resentful.

And…

A heads up for next Monday (Nov. 22nd): the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day; the Moon quincunxes Saturn in Aquarius, exact at 3:32pm EST; it then squares Chiron in Aries, exact at 4:19pm EST; and sextiles Uranus in Taurus, exact at 10:59pm EST. More about all the details in next week’s forecast : )
