November 4th – 10th | Astrologer Coach Sonja Francis

Difficult to Stop — Forecast for Nov. 4th – 10th

This week’s headline items: On Monday, first Quarter Moon in Aquarius becomes exact, and the Mercury Station ends; Neptune, on the other hand, starts its Station phase on Thursday.

There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday late morning (for 8.5 hours), Thursday evening (for a little over 10.5 hours), and Sunday morning (for a little over 9 hours).

Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, November 4th:

Monday, the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day; it will journey there until Tuesday early evening. The energy of the Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional; interactions more impersonal than personal. We are likely to have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.

Social gatherings, anything connected with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas and methods, progress: all these are promoted during the time the Moon moves through Aquarius. Again: we have our eyes on the future — or on outer space 🙂 Personal freedom becomes paramount.

Monday: Mercury resumes its normal pace through the sky, ending its station — but moving backward through the sky, as seen from Earth (that’s what “retrograde” refers to). If any thinking and/or communication issues have come up around our intimate relationships, or financial partnerships since Oct. 11th, we’ll now have a chance to do some internal work on those issues. We are also invited to investigate anything that needs to be more fully integrated in our personality (i.e. “Shadow” issues).

For more on the Mercury Retrograde phase in relationship to your own Birth Chart, feel free to watch the mp4-video presentation about the “Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio, and its Shadow phases”. Star and SuperStar Members: check your email for the link to the mp4-video recording and enjoy watching it! I sent it out on Oct. 17th late evening 😉

Monday early morning, at 5:23am EST, the first Quarter Moon in a little over 11.5 degrees of Aquarius becomes exact. We started to feel this aspect from the moment the Moon entered Aquarius last week, Sunday morning (Nov 3rd). The Moon in freedom-loving, progressive, detached, objective Aquarius makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in passionate, all-or-nothing, intimacy-craving Scorpio.

We feel compelled to take action. On Oct. 27th, the New Moon in Scorpio became exact: “Seeds” planted then are probably “sprouting” by now — and making their first real contact with the outside world. This is therefore a time to stretch and grow — and create some forward momentum. We may feel anxious or unusually busy.

As best as you can, go one breath at a time. Allow for changes, remain flexible (as much as possible), and find creative solutions for your day-to-day interactions with others.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 9-14 degrees of Aquarius, Scorpio, Taurus, or Leo? If so, you will feel the effects of this first Quarter Moon more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Monday late evening, we feel…

Monday late evening, we feel a flow and support towards socializing and connecting with others. Great ideas and concepts can be collaborated on right now.

Tuesday, Nov. 5th:

Tuesday, the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius until 6:08pm EST (see Monday morning for details).

Tuesday very early morning, a somewhat challenging Venus/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 2:09am EST. We started to feel this aspect from Monday on; it will be strong until Wednesday very early morning. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward — and we need to make a choice
so we need to develop inner awareness.

Learning to let go of the past means being willing to release relationships we have outgrown. Learning ways to abruptly alter our circumstances without emotional turmoil: This is the way Uranus’s energy urges us to grow. We need freedom “within” our relationships, not “from” them.

It’s also time to reevaluate the ways we’ve imprisoned ourselves in protective behaviors and then rebel against them. While “Different” is not always “improved”, change is essential to our evolutionary process.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 3-5 degrees of Sagittarius or Taurus? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Aquarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Uranus rules Aquarius)

Tuesday early morning, a challenging Mars/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 5:28am EST. We started to feel this aspect from last week Friday (Nov. 1st) on; it will remain strong until this Saturday evening (Nov. 9th). Our ambition and drive to succeed are incredibly strong now; we feel prepared to go to any lengths, in order to achieve our goals — and we have the required energy. It’s a real need to achieve, a compulsion even — we often find it difficult to stop.

This aspect could also lead to power struggles, perhaps with an authority figure, perhaps within ourselves. Problem is, “push” could come to “shove” — and once in a shoving match, with Mars and Pluto involved, we may not know when enough is enough.

Do your best to tap into the power of the love within. Find creative ways to empower yourself and others. Flexibility is key — and walking away for 10 minutes might just save you from doing something you later regret — and also perhaps from burning-out 😉

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 18-24 degrees of Libra, Capricorn, Aries or Cancer? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Scorpio (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Pluto rules Scorpio).

Tuesday at 9:37am EST, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for 8.5 hours until 6:08pm EST. We are pulled in two quite different directions: On the one hand, we experience a need for connecting with like-minded people and remaining objective; on the other hand, we want to go deeper, and communicate from a place of passion and empowerment.

We may thus have to address our fears and “issues”. Make space both for connecting, and interacting — and for going within, to reorganize your thought patterns and release any disempowering thought structures. As best as you can, use this intuitive time to make adjustments and find creative solutions when it comes to these energies.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Tuesday late morning until the early evening ahead of time.

Tuesday at 6:08pm EST, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Saturday morning. This Moon placement often finds us more sensitive, intuitive, idealistic and imaginative than normal. We also have a greater capacity for compassion, sympathy and affection for all — but especially for those who suffer or can be regarded as the underdog.

But… that very idealism could also be our downfall at this time: We tend to see the best in everyone and everything, and when reality doesn’t match our idyllic vision, we might feel upset and even victimized by those harsh realities. A way out of this is to channel our idealism into spiritual or creative endeavors.

It’s also a great time for releasing fears — especially the ones based on a sense of separation — and experiencing “oneness”. Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them — in fact, “going with the flow” is the best way to go for the next couple of days.

Wednesday, Nov. 6th:

Wednesday, the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Tuesday early evening for details).

Wednesday very early morning, we get an opportunity to be very present, to connect with others and share a new vision about the Earth, or to reinvent how we connect with “the good things in life”. As best as you can, bring a sense of flow and faith to who you are being; allow yourself to intuitively share some progressive, new ideas about what is important to you, and things that could make yours and other people’s life easier on a very practical level.

Wednesday early morning, we feel a need to go within — and also want to connect and explore. This tension clearly invites us to stretch a little and resolve it through creative solutions — the key here is to listen to our intuition, so we don’t drive ourselves or others crazy.

Wednesday late evening, starts out with a nice feeling of ease and an ability to trust and connect deeply with others. As best as you can, trust your intuitive sensing right now, allow whatever comes up to be beneficial for you.

Thursday, Nov. 7th:

Thursday, the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Tuesday early evening for details).

Thursday very early morning, we get an opportunity to be wholly present — and also to focus on practicalities and long-term plans. As best as you can, bring a sense of flow and faith to your business dealings.

Also, Thursday very early morning, we feel more sensitive and need to slow down a little. This is a great time for spiritual or creative endeavors. Energy work, or anything that requires our intuitive side, will work best for the next several hours.

Thursday early afternoon, we have the opportunity to be guided by inspiration, and fully commit to a project or task that might serve us long-term. As best as you can, listen and trust to the subtle messages in your heart, that stir you towards success.

Thursday early evening, we are invited to share about deep emotional issues and support each other in a loving and compassionate way. As best as you can, allow for feelings to flow, and release anything that feels “old” or “toxic”.

Thursday at 8:13pm EST, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for a little over 10.5 hours until 6:49am EST (Friday morning). We are experiencing two quite different needs pulling us in different directions: on the one hand, we strongly need to connect with a compassionate heart; on the other hand, we want to explore life and its meaning, beyond what we already know.

Do your best to use this intuitive time to make adjustments, slow things down a little, and find creative solutions that honor both drives. As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday evening until Friday morning ahead of time.

Thursday night, Neptune starts to slow down (station) — and will appear to move more slowly through the sky until Dec. 15th. It is getting ready to come to a halt and start it’s 5-month Retrograde phase on Nov. 27th.

A planet’s energies are more exalted during its “station period”; this has even more weight for an outer planet, as they move more slowly and their stations last much longer. This Neptune station is particularly strong, since it occurs in Pisces, its own sign.

Neptune represents things like “universal love”, our inner divinity (intuitiveness), spirituality, inspiration, compassion, faith — plus creative and imaginative realms such as music or film — while the shadow side is confusion, illusion and escapism of all kinds. We start to be aware of all those energies more fully in our lives.

This awareness helps us to connect more fully to those energies as they exist within us. We can then see where we need to either embrace them more fully, or connect to them in a healthy way, that doesn’t involve getting lost in the murky lower, or denser vibrations of their expression.

Keep in mind that you may also feel more sensitive, or tired, and even want to escape reality for a while. As best as you can, allow yourself to focus on the higher, lighter vibrations of Pisces.

Whether you are Star or SuperStar Member, or just joining this month, you can ask me questions about the Neptune Station/Retrograde phase in relationship to your own birth chart during the next Forecasting Forum on Nov. 13th at 1pm EST! To join for this month only, click here.

To join every month, upgrade to Star Membership! PS: We will also cover Jupiter’s one year transit in Capricorn (starting Dec. 2nd)!

Some of us will feel the effects of this Station more than others: those of us with a Pisces Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) — and those of us with personal planets and points in 14-18 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini or Sagittarius.

Friday, Nov. 8th:

Friday, the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces and VoC until 6:49am EST (see Tuesday early evening and Thursday evening for more details).

Friday at 6:49am EST, the Moon moves into pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Sunday early evening. Life is an adventure, we’re more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately.

Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body’s excess energy.

Friday early afternoon, an opportune Sun/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 12:06pm EST. We started to feel this aspect build from Wednesday evening on, it will remain strong until Sunday evening. This aspect provides an opportunity to become aware of what needs to happen if we are to accomplish something concrete.

We have common sense at our disposal; we are willing to look reality in the eye and take responsibility for our life and how we live it. This is an opportunity to become more aware of our desire to be whole and empowered from within — and also, of how this might benefit us, both in terms of long-term goals and our here-and-now focus.

Again, remember: opportunities are openings, they aren’t necessarily handed to us — we have to “take” them and make something of them.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 14-18 degrees of Scorpio, Capricorn, Virgo, or Pisces? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Capricorn (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn rules Capricorn)

Also, Friday early afternoon, a harmonious Sun/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 12:56pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday evening on; it will remain strong until next week Monday evening (Nov. 11th). This aspect could be tremendously supportive when it comes to dissolving what no longer serves us.

Our intuition, imagination, and inspiration all seem to be “zeroed in”. We go beyond “tolerance”, to lovingly embrace differences in others, and give where it’s needed with open hearts and hands. All of this also feeds in to any creative and spiritual endeavors that start around this time.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career point (or one or more personal planets) in 13-19 degrees of Scorpio, Pisces or Cancer? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (the Sun rules Leo; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces).

Friday late evening, a long-term, opportune Saturn/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 9:45pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Oct.13th on; its influence will remain strong until Nov. 30th. This is the third time this year we will experience this aspect; the first time it became exact was on Jan. 31st, though we could feel it from Jan. 11th – Feb. 23rd; and the second time it became exact was on June 18th, and we could feel it from May 14th – July 18th.

Think back to those times: What opportunities came your way? Did one of them require you to trust cosmic timing and personal intuition as a guide, while still staying focused on your commitments or long-term goals as a destination?

Both planets are in the signs they rule — Saturn is in Capricorn and Neptune in Pisces — so this aspect provides a particularly potent opportunity to bring an intuitive and creative approach to building the various foundations in our lives — both individually and collectively.

Saturn is asking us to be realistic and mature, Neptune is asking us to be compassionate and accepting; both are connected to inner processes.

Saturn is interested in self-mastery — the ability to manifest something real by making an inner commitment and applying persistent effort. Neptune is interested in universal love and the connection to the inner divine through meditation or through simply being present in the now-moment to all the energies inside and around us.

Saturn is also interested in the now-moment, but more as the starting point for our long-term goals — it is interested in “where we’re at”, so we can realistically decide what step needs to come next… and next… and next — while always referring back to the now-moment.

We have a unique opportunity right now, to more deeply trust our inner processes, while also allowing the Universe/Source/our Higher Selves to step in and guide us as we build structures (individually and collectively) that support something sustainable and long-lasting. What would this look like in your own life? How might you be able to contribute to the collective version of that effort?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 14-18 degrees of Capricorn, Pisces, Taurus, or Scorpio? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Pisces or Capricorn (Neptune is the ruler of Pisces; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)

Saturday, Nov. 9th:

Saturday, the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Friday morning for details).

Friday night/Saturday very early morning, starts out harmoniously, yet with an urge to explore something new that helps us understand the bigger picture all around. If you are already awake (or not yet asleep :-), you might want to enthusiastically connect with others for an adventure.

Saturday afternoon, we are invited to make some adjustments in our lives and find creative solutions to seemingly incompatible situations. On the one hand, we are invited to focus on building solid foundations under any long-term goals currently underway. Some helpful questions you could ask yourself: What benefits might I reap from taking it one step at a time?

On the other hand, we have this need to make time for personal desires and needs; here, you could ask yourself: What does my inner teenager require to be happy at this time?

Saturday late afternoon, we experience a need for inner adjustments. We feel uneasy or awkward and need to make a choice. Making this choice demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: on the one hand, the desire to merge with another and feel deeply connected to them — and on the other hand, the need to be independently and passionately engaged with life.

Saturday evening, an opportune Mercury/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 9:09pm EST. We started to feel this aspect build from Thursday night on; it will remain strong until Monday. This aspect provides an opportunity to restructure or rebuild areas of our lives that need it.

It’s also an opportunity to do more research toward building something meaningful, all while learning about our authentic motivations; as best as you can, dig deeper — and keep your heart open — a fearful approach is not recommended. Remember: opportunities aren’t on “automatic”… we have to go after them, realize them.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point or personal planets in degrees 19-23 of Scorpio, Capricorn, Pisces, or Virgo? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Scorpio (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Pluto rules Scorpio)

Saturday night/Sunday very early morning, we are invited to make adjustments and find creative solutions around personal desires and needs, versus our deep passion and focus on long-term goals. As best as you can, allow yourself to make space for both; flexibility and adaptability are key if we mean to move forward with our plans and projects…

Sunday, Nov. 10th:

Sunday, the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries until 6:18pm EST (see Friday morning for details).

Sunday morning, we seek a balance between our need for self-fulfillment, and our desire to collaborate: What might be possible if you could integrate one with the other?

Sunday at 9:00am EST, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for a little over 9 hours until 6:18pm EST. Use this intuitive time to explore any “historically-based” beliefs around life and your perceptions about life: What if you took an optimistic approach towards life itself?

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday morning until the early evening ahead of time.

Sunday at 6:18pm EST, the Moon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will journey until next week, Wednesday early morning (Nov. 13th). We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well. In other words: change is not our favorite thing and “rushing things” goes against our grain.

What is our favorite thing for the next three days? It’s probably, slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses 😉

Sunday night/Monday very early morning: If possible, connect with people that can support your projects on a practical level, and share with them what you have going on.

And…

A heads up for next Monday (Nov. 11th): the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Nov. 10th for details). In the late morning, a Sun/Mercury alignment in almost 19 degrees of Scorpio becomes exact at 10:22am EST; we started to feel this aspect build from this Nov. 9th, in the evening on; it will remain strong until Nov. 12th, in the evening. This transit of Mercury across the Sun (visible from the US) last happened in 2016; the next time it will be visible in the US will be in 2039. Also, on Monday: the Moon in Taurus quincunxes Venus in Sagittarius exact at 6:40pm EST. More about all the details in next week’s forecast 🙂
