Commitment and Maturity — Forecast for Sept. 3rd – 9th

This week’s headline items: Mercury changes signs from Leo to Virgo late Wednesday evening; Saturn comes to a halt on Thursday morning — ending it’s 5-month retrograde phase — and the Balsamic Moon phase begins later that day. Venus changes signs from Libra to Scorpio on Sunday morning, and the New Moon in Virgo becomes exact on Sunday afternoon.

There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday very early morning (for almost 5.5 hours), Thursday morning (for a little over an hour), and Saturday late morning (for an hour).

Before we get to this week’s forecast, I have one quick announcement:
If you missed my Forecasting Forum last week…but still would like to learn how these major two planetary shifts are impacting you personally…feel free to watch the mp4-video presentation about the current Saturn and Mars Station phases and their direct motions in relationship to your own Birth Chart… To purchase this 90+ min. webinar, click here.

Star and SuperStar Members: check your email for the link to the mp4-video recording and enjoy watching it! I sent it out on Aug. 28th late at night 😉

Now, this week’s Forecast:

Monday (Sept. 3rd): the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini all day. It will journey there until Tuesday morning. For that period of time, we like to learn, connect and interact as much as possible. “Busy” feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way…

The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead 🙂

Monday late morning, an opportune Mercury/Venus aspect becomes exact at 8:58am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Friday evening (Aug. 31st) on, it will remain strong until Wednesday evening. This aspect gives us the opportunity for more direct and caring connections to others. Due to the Mercury Retrograde phase in August, we are experiencing this aspect for the second time already within the last two weeks.

This gives us a chance to re-address anything that may have come up in regards to our relationships. Think back to Aug. 15th – 21st. Is there anything that was not expressed at that time, that you may want to talk about? Is there anyone you would like to get in touch with?

Through enhanced communication, we have a chance to clear up any misunderstandings. Promises and clarifications may grow from this, particularly in love relationships. It is also an opportune time to make new social contacts. Remember: this is an “opportunity” — those aren’t necessarily handed to us, we have to actively take advantage of them.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career point (or any personal planets) in…

…23-27 degrees of Leo, Libra, Gemini, or Aries? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Virgo, Gemini, Libra or Taurus (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra).

Tuesday (Sept. 4th): the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini until 8:03am EDT (see Monday for details).

Tuesday at 2:37am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that last almost 5.5 hours, until 8:03am EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to connect with others and share yourself authentically, from the heart — and maybe even have some fun with that!

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Tuesday very early morning until the morning ahead of time.

Tuesday at 8:03am EDT, the Moon moves into protective, nurturing Cancer, where it will journey until Thursday late morning. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say and therefore our feelings are more easily hurt — so be kind to yourself and others. Self-Care is key for the next two and half days 😉

Emotional safety is important to us as well; we like connecting to the familiar and we enjoy nurturing ourselves and others — home and family call to us, for instance. Make sure though, that your own glass is full before letting others drink from it; if you don’t, you might start to feel drained and resentful.

Wednesday (Sept. 5th): the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day (see Tuesday morning for details).

Wednesday late morning, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Mars aspect becomes exact at 11:18am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Tuesday on, it will remain strong until Thursday morning. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward — and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed if we’re to see what needs adjusting.

We may have big ideas under this influence… and overestimate our abilities or underestimate the situation. Avoid jumping in too fast and over-promising; check the details.

What we do, think and say are not necessarily in harmony; what’s more, instead of listening to others, we tend to interrupt and assume. This is probably not a good day to make important decisions 😉

Awareness is key: What demands to be done? How? How fast? Could you allow yourself to process new information quickly, without needing to act on it right away?

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 28-29 degrees of Leo or Capricorn or 0 degrees of Virgo or Aquarius? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo, or Aries (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Mars of Aries).

Wednesday late evening,  at 10:39pm EDTMercury changes signs from prideful, fun-loving Leo to detail-oriented, practical Virgo. Mercury will travel through the sign of Virgo until Sept. 21.

Mercury in Virgo sharpens our thinking: We see clearly and are more inclined to direct our energy towards day-to-day, practical matters. This will be even truer after Sept.14th (for more details, see the Mercury/Neptune opposition next week Thursday).

After Wednesday, creating order in our daily lives, knowing what’s coming next, organizing, planning on a short-term scale, doing errands: All this will come easier. This stands in contrast to our ability to go with the flow, be present, have faith that things will turn out well, no matter what: not so easy 🙂

We may feel that we do things better than others right now and thereby deny them a chance to improve their skills or show us a different method. As best as you can, be of service to others — and remember that perfection is lovely when we treat it as a journey and a tyrant when we set it as a goal. What if you aimed at continuous, never-ending improvement, rather than at a frozen “perfect”?

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo? If so, you will feel the need for organization and improvements more strongly.

Thursday (Sept. 6th): the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer until 9:54am EDT (see Tuesday morning for details).

Thursday morning, at 7:09am EDT, Saturn comes to a halt in 2.5 degrees of Capricorn and begins the process of turning direct, after being retrograde for almost 5 months since April 17th.

As best as you can during the course of Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week, bring flexibility and open-mindedness to any sources of frustration. If you can also bring commitment and maturity to what you believe to be true about yourself, others and life, you will feel more grounded in reality.

Over the course of the past five months, we’ve had a chance to reassess our limits and boundaries, reclaim our authority, and become more realistic and responsible. It’s time to move forward now — and our progress will be in direct proportion to the amount of “inner work” we’ve done since mid-April.

Saturn represents our structures, responsibilities, commitments — and also our ability to “do” life on life’s terms. When this planet comes to a halt, we get to see where we need to create or renew commitments. It may also seem like our physical realities have come to a complete halt: Take a deep breath whenever you can, as often as you can (especially today and tomorrow).

Moving forward with our long-term goals will be easier now, as we have more clarity: We can integrate what we have learned over the past 5 months and more easily align our inner commitments and goals with the outer world.

Feel free to watch our mp4 video presentation about the current Saturn and Mars Station phases and their direct motions in relationship to our own Birth charts… To purchase this webinar, click here

Capricorns, Aquarians (whether by Sun-sign or Ascendent) and people with personal planets in 0-5 degrees of Capricorn, Cancer, Aries, or Libra will feel a particularly strong sense of relief as Saturn starts to slowly gain speed.

Thursday at 8:43am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that last a little over an hour, until 9:54am EDT. Use this intuitive time to balance the need for the safe and familiar against a focus on career goals and long-term accomplishments.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday morning until the late morning ahead of time.

Thursday at 9:54am EDT, the Moon moves into fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until Saturday late morning. We may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising. We all love to be admired — or at the very least acknowledged — for our greatness 🙂

So hand out some compliments — let people know how proud you are of them, tell them how much you love them. Come from the heart in this and all other things… be honest and authentic, as best you can. Fun, games, and romance are a big part of this energy as well. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones.

If there are no “outer children” around, how about getting in touch with your “inner child” — it’s definitely easier for the next two days. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps and heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, you let out a tiny squeak, just thinking of it?

Thursday late morning, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 10:14am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Wednesday on, it will remain strong until Thursday evening. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward — and we need to make a choice… so we need to develop inner awareness.

This boils down to feeling “stumped” — we feel like we can’t get our head around things, or make decisions.  As best as you can, be kind and compassionate to yourself. Ask yourself: Could I hang out with the inner discomfort this is stirring up, just for right now?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 0-2 degrees of Virgo or Aries or 29 degrees of Leo or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo).

Thursday around 12pm EDTthe Balsamic Moon phase begins when the Moon reaches 2º of Leo. This lasts until Sunday afternoon, when the New Moon in Virgo becomes exact (more on that later this week…however, feel free to watch my video on the subject; will be posted by Sept. 3rd).

We are being asked to slow down and get quiet, so we can listen to our inner sensing/intuition. For some of us, this might be a stretch. As best as you can: stay grounded, take a deep breath and exhale any tensions. Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing existing projects or processes.

This is also a great time for letting go of whatever no longer serves us. What if you could hear the voice of your inner wisdom? What might it be saying?

Friday (Sept. 7th): the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo all day (see Thursday late morning for details).

Friday early morning, a harmonious Mercury/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 3:41am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Wednesday afternoon on, it will remain strong until Saturday evening. This aspect supports a connection between our higher mind and our day-to-day mind. We are able to receive inspiration from higher places and maybe even look into the future. We are able to communicate our vision for a better future; insights arise from these communications.

Original, creative insights and ideas can appear out of nowhere; as best as you can, stay open to these unique “downloads” — they might change how you see and proceed with life 😉 This is a good time to communicate online, engage in computer-related activities or scientific projects, and also for anything metaphysical. Group activities like Meetups are great things to be involved with right now — especially if they allow us to share our vision for a better future.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 0-5 degrees of Virgo, Taurus, Capricorn, or 29 degrees of Leo, Aries, or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel especially blessed by this connection. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Aquarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius)

Friday morning, a harmonious Mercury/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 8:20am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Wednesday evening on, it will remain strong until Sunday morning. It will help to interact with integrity and commitment. We can set aside unrealistic views and make concrete, practical plans, that help us explore our long-term goals.

We “get to the point” with no wasted time or words. Seeking a larger understanding, we speak our truth but temper it with adult caution and moderation. The reality of our beliefs gets clearer and our thought processes are more realistic. It is important for us to learn something new, with a mature attitude.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 0-6 degree of Virgo, Capricorn, Taurus, or 29 degrees of Leo, Aries, or Sagittarius,? Or perhaps you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Capricorn? If so, you will likely be more blessed by this aspect.

Friday afternoon, a Sun/Neptune opposition becomes exact at 2:27pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Tuesday on, it will remain strong until next week, Monday (Sept. 10th). Having a balance between logic and intuition — between what we know and what we feel — is essential at this time. We need to gain clarity when it comes to our dreams and come to understand that we can only improve our current situation through forgiveness and love.

The mind will play an important role during this time: Provided they make sense to you, choices that connect you to your heart will help you succeed. It’s also important to give up being “right” and thereby allow flow. As best as you can, trust your intuition and practice self-compassion 😉

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 12-18 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this opposition quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (the Sun rules Leo; Neptune rules Pisces).

Saturday (Sept. 8th): the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo, until 10:29am EDT (see Thursday late morning for details).

Saturday at 9:31am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that last an hour, until 10:29am EDT. This intuitive time could be a good time to connect with others from the heart. What if you let yourself enjoy others in the mutual pursuit of peaceful collaborations?

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Saturday late morning ahead of time.

Saturday at 10:29am EDT, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until next week, Monday late morning (Sept. 10th); turning our focus toward the practical and wholesome. We are generous with our time/services and we love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world — things and knowledge we can apply and use.

Health might come also into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals. This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the New Moon exact (Sunday afternoon)- more about that later.

Saturday late afternoon, a challenging Venus/Mars aspect becomes exact at 4:38pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Monday evening on, it will remain strong until next week, Thursday evening (Sept. 13th).

Due to the Venus retrograde in Oct./Nov., we will be experiencing this aspect several times within the next couple of weeks. It asks that we stretch ourselves with regard to the feminine/masculine dynamic as it manifests both “inside” and “outside”: A shift needs to occur.

This can show up in several ways, either through romantic and sexual tensions that we might experience with others. We may tease each other, flirt with each other and/or play hard to get. Or we may find ourselves arguing in a very passionate way with the opposite sex. Competitiveness, anger, frustration, or angst might be present. Either way, this can be a very passionate time. Balancing and integrating masculine and feminine energies within yourself would be very useful at this time.

If we are experiencing these energies internally, there may be a desire for cooperation, equality, and collaboration with others — but we may also want to focus on our long-term goals and plans for the future. The challenge here might be that on the one hand, we want harmony, so we can collaborate with others — and on the other hand, we want to get ahead and achieve things in the world, so we gain mastery in our field. What if you made room for both of these energies?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or personal planets in 26-29 of Libra, Capricorn, Aries, Cancer, or 0-3 degrees Scorpio, Aquarius, Taurus, or Leo? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Aries (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Mars is the ruler of Aries).

Sunday (Sept. 9th): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Saturday late morning for details).

Sunday early morningVenus moves from relationship-oriented, harmony-seeking Libra into passionate, intense, all-or-nothing Scorpio. She will journey there until Oct. 31st, and then again Dec. 2nd until Jan. 7th 2019 (due to her retrograde phase in Oct./Nov.). During this time, our relationships will get a lot of attention. We have a unique intensity, coupled with a willingness to commit; our actions in love tend to promise deep commitment and sexual pleasure, even if we are not talking about this directly.

Venus in Scorpio seems fearless when it comes to intimacy. We are intensely loyal at this time, and will expect the same from our partner; mistrust is the biggest obstacle to forming a relationship. We feel a need to cut through the fluff and can see others exactly for who they are — it’s like having X-ray vision of the heart. As best as you can, honor this by being straight with others — especially if it’s someone you have (or want to have) a romantic relationship with.

With regards to finances, we are more likely to put our money into things we feel really passionate about. Investments in transformational programs are recommended, as are partnerships in general.

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra? If so, you will feel more passionate and deeply loyal for the next 4 weeks; your heart will want to go deeper and connect intimately with others. If you are a Scorpio Sun-sign or Rising-sign, for as long as Venus is in your sign, you will attract more love, abundance, and beauty into your life.

Sunday afternoon, at 2:01pm EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in exactly 17 degrees of Virgo, marking the beginning of a new Moon cycle. We started to feel the effects of this New Moon the moment the Moon entered Virgo, on Saturday late morning. Feel free to watch my New Moon video on the subject 🙂 (Will be posted by Monday, Sept. 3rd)

This New Moon in detail-oriented, practical Virgo provides an opportunity to learn about being of service — and what it might mean to strengthen our focus on improving our daily routines — getting organized, for example — and taking care of health matters.

This will also be a great time to begin new projects that demand attention to detail, list-making, and taking pride in “small” accomplishments. We might start a new health regimen, perhaps by paying close attention to our diet; we could also set up specific routines that help us manage our lives in constructive and mindful ways.

This is all about handling the nitty-gritty details of our day-to-day life in an organized, step-by-step fashion so we can free our minds of clutter. Where could you use more open space?

Another great way to step into the higher vibrations of Virgo: As best as you can, recognize that humility, self-improvement, and being of service bring you closer to your inner divinity and your Soul’s path.

Ask yourself: How could I, as a Spirit-being, operate more efficiently in the physical world and stay connected to my heart-center? Might tweaking my daily routines help me function in the physical world? Might that also support me in being of service? What benefits might I reap by discerning between the essential and the redundant? What would “simplifying my life” look like?

The New Moon opposes Neptune in Pisces. This configuration is asking us to find a balance between understanding the facts, and heeding our intuitive knowingness; we are being invited to explore beyond the details and put our trust in the universal process and universal timing — so allow for some downtime and self-connection with your inner divinity.

Ask yourself: How can I best connect to the subtle messages of my body and soul? What if I placed the mind in service to those subtle messages? How might I connect the heart and mind energies? What activities or daily routines come to mind that might support me in being more present to my intuitive/creative side?

We are also invited to have open-hearted connections with the world around us. What might striking a balance between logic and intuition look like? Between discernment and compassion? Between a scientific and a spiritual approach to life?

The Sun was conjunct Neptune in Pisces on March 4th of this year. We can now gain a greater perspective and a deeper understanding of how far we have come since then. Think back to that time, and ask yourself: how did I see myself back then? What was my dream? Where am I heading now? What has shifted within me since? What has come to fruition?

This New Moon is also making a trine to Pluto in Capricorn… and a sextile to Jupiter in Scorpio… Jupiter and Pluto are connected via a sextile as well, so this beautiful configuration is an opportunity to go deeper, to go inward, downward, and maybe even backward (i.e. towards the past) — finding greater ways to empower ourselves and others, to be more truthful and authentic in our connection with others and with ourselves.

Ask yourself: What if I simply observed my conditioned mind and its survival strategies? That’s all those defensive thoughts and problem-solving drives that stem from painful or traumatic experiences in the past or that were handed down to me by my caregivers… What might happen if I could allow myself to trust life, others, and myself 5% more than I have up until now?

Mercury, the ruler of Virgo, is in its own sign at the time of the New Moon and its energy is thus exalted: matters of the mind will be experienced more strongly.

Mercury remains in Virgo until Sept. 21st; this gives us some time to recognize where we have ignored important symptoms, feelings, or hunches — and eliminate the unnecessary and/or dysfunctional.

Ask yourself: What does my mind chatter say? Is it helpful? Does it help me make decisions that are in alignment with my lighter vibrations, my love-vibrations? In other words: Is my mind in service to my heart?

Mercury is also part of a Grand Earth Trine, involving Saturn in Capricorn and Uranus in Taurus. This resonates back to the last Full Moon (from Aug. 26th), when the Sun in Virgo was part of that same Grand Earth Trine.

Ask yourself: How do I manage my time? Do I have enough of it? Or too much? How could I work 5% smarter rather than 1% harder? What if I could reinvent my relationship to time in such a way that I could get more done in less time? What might a review of my current habits show me?

How do I maintain my home, my work-space? Is there any clutter in my life that is asking to be removed at this time?

How do I take care of my health? If my body had a say in this, what might it be saying to me?

Mars and Saturn are both still stationing, and both in Capricorn at the time of the New Moon (even though they are now no longer in retrograde motion); this invites us to be more conscious and aware of our masculine energies and drive for accomplishment.

Ask yourself: What am I committed to? What is emerging that has been in process for several months already? Could I give myself permission to take it one moment at a time? Could I give myself that permission if I experimented with the idea that all things come to me in due time? Could I take the pressure off, just for a quick “right now”?

Feel free to watch our last Forum, when we talked about those station phases and their direct motion in relationship to our own birth charts! Available for purchase on my website until Sept. 14th, this 90-minute webinar also gives you access to the Full Moon video in Pisces. If you would like to get these recordings, go to my webinar page

Having entered her pre-retrograde shadow phase on Sept. 2nd, Venus enters Scorpio 8.5 hours before the New Moon becomes exact. She will journey through Scorpio for an unusually long time: most of September, all of October and most of December! (The gap is due to her Retrograde phase in Oct./Nov.)

For now, simply ask yourself: What do I value about myself? Others? Do my relationships empower me? What’s my relationship to my finances? Especially shared finances with others?

We will cover this in more detail in our September Forecasting Forum! Feel free to join us if you want to know how this might be affecting you personally, especially if you are a Taurus or Libra Sun-sign, Moon-sign or Rising sign! 🙂 This webinar is live on Sept. 27th at 6pm New York-time! The message of this New Moon is loud and clear: We are invited to release old and “dense” energies — including social conditioning and anything coming from past traumas or disempowerments we have experienced. As best as you can, clear any “cellular memory” that is no longer in alignment with your higher, lighter energy body — and keep your mind and heart open in every moment of now… no matter what shows up.

As best as you can, trust that all is well, and you are being led exactly where you need to go. Simplify. Be Mindful. Dedicate yourself to what’s important with compassion in your heart! And ask yourself: If I had incarnated to bring a specific gift to this world, one that would truly allow me to be of valuable service, what might this gift be? What might it look like, to skillfully and compassionately bring this gift to others? Also feel free to watch my New Moon video on the subject (Will be posted by Monday, Sept. 3rd)

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 15-19 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle. Intentions are best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact — and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase. So this month, the best time to set intentions would be between 2:01pm EDT Sunday afternoon (Sept. 9th) and 2pm EDT Tuesday afternoon (Sept. 11th) — with the exception of a very brief Moon void of course (VoC), on Monday, Sept. 10th, from 11:12am until 11:20am EDT (New York-time).

If you live in a timezone other than EDT (that’s the US East Coast time zone), feel free to join my Facebook Fanpage or follow me on twitter. I will be posting reminders on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday throughout the day, to let you know when it is time to set your intentions 😉

A heads-up for next Monday (Sept. 10th): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo until 11:20am EDT (see Saturday late morning (Sept. 8th) for details. In the early morning, a somewhat challenging Venus/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 5:16am EDT, we started to feel this aspect build from Saturday evening on, it will remain strong until Tuesday eveningAt 11:12am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that last for 8 minutes, until 11:20am EDT.

This means that we can still set this month’s New Moon intentions before 11:12am or after 11:20am EDT today (Monday) for this month (if you haven’t already done so as of Sunday evening).

At 11:20am EDT, the Moon moves into relationship-oriented, harmony-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Wednesday afternoon. And at 8:56pm EDT, Mars re-enters Aquarius – until Nov. 15th. More about the details in next week’s forecast.

One More Announcement:
