Emotional Authenticity — Forecast for Sept. 30th – Oct. 6th
This week’s headline items: beginning Wednesday evening, it’s time to start taking action on your New Moon intentions. Early Thursday morning, Pluto comes to a halt in Capricorn, ending its 5-month Retrograde phase, while Mercury changes signs from Libra to Scorpio. The Sun squares the degree of the July 2nd Solar Eclipse on Thursday late night. Mars changes signs from Virgo to Libra on Thursday night/Friday very early morning, and the first Quarter Moon in Capricorn becomes exact on Saturday early afternoon.
There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Wednesday morning (for 2 hours), Friday very early morning (for a little over 10 hours) and Sunday evening (for a little over 4 hours).
Before we get to this week’s forecast, let me share this with you:
We have the Moon in Scorpio from Monday until Wednesday morning, Pluto is coming to a complete halt on Thursday, and Mercury is moving into Scorpio on that same day; also, the Pluto Station (we have been experiencing since Sept. 13th) will get even stronger this week. What have you learned about what works (and what doesn’t) in regards to your current structures and commitments? What needs a complete overhaul?

Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, September 30th:
Monday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra and VoC until 5:42am EDT; at that time, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Wednesday morning. We feel things deeply and have “X-Ray Vision” and “Bullshit-Smelling Abilities” 😉
Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us at this time; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as flat-out dishonest. Once we feel safe trusting someone, we want to merge with them, preferably forever… as long as our trust is never betrayed.
The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. This occurs by a process of subtraction — it urges us to let go of whatever disempowers us. It’s thus an excellent time to look at “old” fears, limiting habits or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.
Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity — it’s “in or out”, “with us or against us”, “love me or leave me”. It can thus be stormy — a cold winter storm, or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we “work” the energies 🙂
Manipulation and paranoia are the lower vibrations of this aspect, so do your very best to be straightforward — act in good faith and assume it in others. Best of all, be truly present to the fluctuations of your feelings — no matter if they’re “polite” or “timely”. Feelings aren’t facts, but they are information — and heeding them will help you embrace all of who you are.
Know thyself — and love thyself — you shall be set free. Remember: Love connects us to the Power within; Fear causes “Force” to show up — and that’s ultimately what disempowers us and others.
Last chance to set your New Moon Intentions! Today (Monday) from 5:42am until 2:26pm EDT is the most potent time to do so… If you’d like some input on how to do that, check out this article — you could also (re-)watch my New Moon video
Monday late morning, we are invited to make some inner adjustments: we feel uneasy or awkward, and need to make a choice — a choice that demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: On the one hand, we have the urge to go deeper and connect with others; on the other hand, we are more aware of triggers and limitations connected to old childhood wounds.
As best as you can, be compassionate and understanding with yourself when feelings of anger come up (and even if shame follows expressions of that anger). Ask yourself: How might 5% more compassion support my relationship with myself and others today?
Monday afternoon: we are invited to examine our relationship to money, power, and resources (personal and shared). Ask yourself: How can I balance my need for a deeper, more empowered experience with others, against…

Ask yourself: How can I balance my need for a deeper, more empowered experience with others, against my wish to honor my personal values and desire for freedom?
Tuesday, October 1st:
Tuesday, the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Monday morning for details).
Tuesday very early morning, a challenging Venus/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 12:18am EDT. We start to feel this aspect build from last week, Saturday (Sept. 28th) on, it will remain strong until this Thursday morning. The Universe is asking us to stretch and grow.
Venus represents our relationships and that which we most value; these areas may undergo major transformations. This aspect challenges us to find meaning in our life through partnerships. We must now uncover the deeper layer of our life. With Pluto in the mix, social interactions could be intense.
You may see changes in financial status or relationships. In the latter, things erupt that have been brewing beneath the surface for some time; this may prove disruptive: As best you can, empower rather than disempower. We may become obsessed with our commitments and our partner during this time.
We may also experience Pluto through our partner, experiencing manipulation and controlling behaviors; we must be especially wary of resisting change and holding onto negative attachments. It’s time to let go of destructive attachments and connections. How can we grow and evolve in our relationships? Is there a relationship that we need to grow and evolve out of?
This aspect could also express itself through sexual tension; there is a strong desire for love in its physical expression. However, keep your standards high, so you can come upon a love that fulfills all your needs — definitely don’t start a relationship with “just anyone”, in order to avoid being alone.
Remember to be true to your own values; wait for someone with whom you can have a relationship based on trust, love and a genuine desire for intimacy — and work on being worth finding, in the meantime 🙂 As best as you can, stay grounded in love, not fear. Stay flexible and open-minded. As best as you can, nurture yourself; make sure you have everything you need to be able to come from a place of inner strength & empowerment.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in of 17-24 Libra, Capricorn, Aries or Cancer? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Scorpio (Venus being the ruler of Taurus and Libra, while Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio).
Tuesday early morning, we feel good about making deeper connections and may have an opportunity to fully commit to a long-term goal. As best as you can, release any fears or traumas that keep you stuck in the past, and instead deepen your connection to whatever you feel deeply passionate about (over the long-term).
Tuesday morning, we are likely to experience a sense of ease and flow, but may need to slow down and allow our feelings to come through. A gentle approach is best. We feel good when coming from the heart and making deeper connections with others. Being open to receiving, trusting the process and going with the flow are key!
Tuesday afternoon, we feel good about making deeper connections; we’ll have an opportunity to become fully committed to a project or task, something that might serve us long-term.
Wednesday, Oct. 2nd:
Wednesday, the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio until 7:44am EDT(see Monday morning for details).
Wednesday at 5:46am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for 2 hours until 7:44am EDT. Use this intuitive time to dig deep into your personal motivations — then get organized and improve the daily routines that support them.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Wednesday morning ahead of time.
Wednesday at 7:44am EDT, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, where it will journey until Friday afternoon. We’re strongly motivated to explore and learn. We’re not likely to be big fans of routine — diversity and new adventures work best at this time — we’re also physically restless and need to burn that off with activity and physical exercise.
We tend to feel more open, optimistic and inspired — but we also have a high degree of independence, which means we’d rather inspire others to do things our way, than take orders. Inspiring others could come easier than normal, as we can see the bigger picture, leaving us confident that others will agree with us, once they see what we see.
As best as you can, speak your truth without assuming that everyone is on the same page as you. Improvisation works well for us at this time, as we are spontaneous and love living on the edge — just watch out you aren’t overdoing or overstating things.
Also, from Wednesday night on, if you set your New Moon Intentions this past Saturday, Sunday or Monday, soon after the New Moon became exact, Wednesday night/Thursday very early morning, at 12:42am EDT, will be a great time to start taking relevant actions. If you wrote your intentions down, go back and take another look at what came through intuitively. If you didn’t write anything down, get quiet for a moment and check in with yourself: What actions are calling to me?
Thursday, Oct. 3rd:
Thursday, the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Wednesday morning for details).
Thursday very early morning, at 2:39am EDT, Pluto comes to a halt in 20.5º of Capricorn and begins the process of turning direct, after being retrograde for a little over 5 months, since April 24th.
Over the course of the past five months, we’ve had a chance to reassess our emotional authenticity and passion for our long-term goals. We got a chance to look where we still feel disempowered and where we need to dig deeper to see what truly serves us long-term. This forced us to see what really motivates us.
Now we can bring this emotional authenticity to the outer world: We are ready to let go of any habits, behaviors or fears that were holding us back from feeling fully empowered from within. Anything that is not functioning at its best, is ready to be transformed: to live fully we need to discard the parts of ourselves that are dead.
It’s time to move forward now — and our progress will be in direct proportion to the amount of “inner work” we’ve done since late April.
Whatever we have intuitively learned about our inner passion, inner strength and Soul’s purpose, we are now ready to bring to the outside world. This deeper connection is going to serve us on our journey towards authenticity. We can now build long-term goals that are in alignment with our Soul’s purpose. Ask yourself: What do I “just know”, deep down?
If you missed our FORECASTING FORUM on Thursday (Sept. 19th), feel free to buy the mp4-video presentation of this wonderful event. We talked about the Pluto Station in Capricorn (getting ready to go direct) in relationship to our own Birth charts, as well as the Saturn Station.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 18-23 degrees of Capricorn, Aries, Cancer or Libra? If so, you will feel this station more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Scorpio (Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio).
Thursday at 4:14am EDT, Mercury changes signs from harmony-seeking Libra to passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Dec. 9th (for an unusually long time, due to the Mercury Retrograde phase that is coming up in November). During those two months, we have the ability to focus on what’s most important to us on a deep emotional level.
We can get to the very heart of any matter at this time (especially through conversation). We are more passionate about giving valid advice or support. We are not satisfied with superficial connections right now — it’s all or nothing.
For that reason, our mental processes could get a little obsessive. We may also be more suspicious and expect bad intentions. It’s a time that favors reading or writing about intrigue, mystery, and hidden motives. Mercury in Scorpio loves anything that challenges the brain and therefore we are often interested in what makes people tick during this time.
To find out more about Mercury’s journey through Scorpio, and its 3-week Retrograde phase in November, feel free to join our next Forecasting Forum, live on Oct. 17th at 3pm EDT. If you are not yet a Star or SuperStar Member, click here to register (registration also includes an mp4-video presentation of the live event).
Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo? If so, you will feel a greater need for investigating deeper emotional issues or motives. Do you have your Ascendent or Sun-sign in Scorpio? If so, you will most likely feel more chatty and mentally alert for the next 2 month.
Thursday late evening, around 11:45pm EDT, when the Sun reaches 10.5 degrees of Libra, the Sun will square the degree of the July 2nd Solar Eclipse. We are at a turning point. Watch for important insights and developments today. Our direct experience is our most valuable resource, especially if we allow ourselves to take in helpful feedback from others. How has your perception of yourself, others, and life shifted since July 2nd?
Friday, Oct. 4th:
Friday, the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius until 1:43pm EDT (see Wednesday morning for details).
Thursday night/Friday very early morning, at 12:22am EDT, Mars changes signs from detail-oriented, practical, service-oriented Virgo to relationship-oriented, harmony-seeking, justice and equality-oriented Libra. Mars will journey through Libra until Nov. 19th. When Mars is in Libra, we are more inclined to put our energy into projects that involve equal partnerships, cooperation and justice.
We are also looking to achieve physical balance. Passions may run high during this time; sexual tension and competitiveness with others is also possible. It can be a stimulating, creative, passionate and invigorating time.
That said, we might seek more independence in our relationships — and patience with others is most likely not going to be our strong suit. As best as you can, use this energy to initiate new relationships and to find harmonious solutions for relationship issues. Give your body time to connect to that place of inner balance.
Mars last journeyed through Libra from Oct. 22nd until Dec. 9th, 2017. Think back to that time and ask yourself: What projects were underway? What got initiated? How can I take those to the next level?
If you have an Aries Sun- or Rising-sign, you are going to be quite a bit more focused on relationship issues and justice. If you are a Libra Sun-sign or Rising sign, you will feel quite energized and passionate for the next 6.5 weeks. Channeling this energy into physical exercise or a project might be advisable.
Friday at 3:34am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for a little over 10 hours until 1:43pm EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to explore one-on-one relationships, perhaps have an adventure with someone, or do something exciting.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Friday very early morning until the afternoon ahead of time.
Friday at 1:43pm EDT, the Moon moves into practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until Sunday night. We tend to be more realistic, serious, cautious; this can support practical endeavors and financial matters.
Our ambition surges and brings with it a need for structure and planning; when you add in the pragmatism this Moon placement supports, you can see how this could be a very productive time for business and long-term goals. Our reputation becomes very important to us.
As best as you can during this time, avoid “should-ing” on yourself. Take the pressure off, perhaps by saying “I am doing the best I can and that’s all I can ever do” 😉
Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn; it is currently transiting through its own sign, making this a great time to take look at our long-term aspirations and anything that we would like to master until Dec. 2020. It’s also a great time to take a more serious look at our strategies for self-mastery.
For starters: Do you truly see “what’s so” in your life — as opposed to what you merely wish it to be, or what you would like it to be, or where you see yourself going, etc.? What is actually so right now? Once you have a handle on where “A” is, it’s easier to “go from A to B” — whether “B” is self-mastery or standing on the mountaintop. This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the first Quarter Moon (exact Saturday early afternoon).
Friday evening, we are invited to make adjustments and find creative solutions to seemingly insoluble situations. As best as you can, make space for looking into some alternative exercise programs or holistic approaches to your personal projects and current long-term commitments. Compassion is key 😉
Friday night/Saturday very early morning, we are invited to connect with like-minded people, and learn something new about our unique talents or value to the world. We are better able to connect to anything that involves a long-term commitment. We perhaps might also implement revolutionary business practices or government programs that support our values and make life tangibly more enjoyable.
Saturday, Oct. 5th:
Saturday, the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day (see Friday early afternoon for details).
Saturday early afternoon, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 12:05pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from early this morning (Saturday) on, and it remains strong until Sunday evening. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward — and we need to make a choice… so we need to develop inner awareness.
This boils down to feeling “stumped” — we feel like we can’t get our head around things, or make decisions. As best as you can, be kind and compassionate to yourself. Ask yourself: Could I hang out with the inner discomfort this is stirring up, just for right now?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 2-4 degrees of Scorpio or Aries? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo).
Also, Saturday early afternoon, at 12:47pm EDT, the first Quarter Moon in 12 degrees of Capricorn becomes exact. We started to feel this aspect from the moment the Moon entered Capricorn, Friday afternoon at 1:43pm EDT. The Moon in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in balance-seeking, relationship-oriented Libra.
We feel compelled to take action. Last week, on Sept. 28th, the New Moon in Libra became exact: “Seeds” planted then are probably “sprouting” by now — and making their first real contact with the outside world. This is therefore a time to stretch and grow — and create some forward momentum. We may feel anxious or unusually busy.
As best as you can, go one breath at a time. Allow for changes, remain flexible (as much as possible), and find creative solutions for your day-to-day interactions with others.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-14 degrees of Capricorn, Libra, Aries or Cancer? If so, you will feel the effects of this first Quarter Moon more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
Saturday afternoon, we experience a sense of maturity, and of commitment towards ourselves and our long-term goals; for long-term success, focus on long-term projects that require a realistic approach or a solid commitment.
Saturday evening, we have an opportunity to soften our need for accomplishment with a gentler, more intuitive approach.
Sunday, Oct. 6th:
Sunday, the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Capricorn until 11:42pm EDT (see Friday early afternoon for details).
Sunday early morning, our focus intensifies — we might even get a little obsessed with a project or task — as best as you can, take breaks and don’t forget to practice a little self-care 😉
Sunday at 7:25pm EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for for a little over 4 hours until 11:42pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to honor your desire for accomplishment — but you’ll need to adjust and innovate when working with others — flexibility is key 😉
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday evening ahead of time.
Sunday late evening, at 11:42pm EDT, the Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Wednesday afternoon (Oct. 9th). The energy of the Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional; interactions more impersonal than personal. We are likely to have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.
Social gatherings, anything connected with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas and methods, progress: all these are promoted during the time the Moon moves through Aquarius. Again: we have our eyes on the future — or on outer space 🙂 Personal freedom becomes paramount.
And…
A heads up for next Monday (Oct. 7th): the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day (see Sunday late evening for details). In the very early morning, a Mercury/Uranus opposition becomes exact at 2:17am EDT; we started to feel this aspect build from Oct. 4th on, it will remain strong until Oct. 9th. And, in the afternoon, a challenging Sun/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 3:07pm EDT; we started to feel this aspect build from Oct. 4th on, it will remain strong until this Oct. 10th. More about all the details in next week’s forecast 🙂
