Originality & Innovation
This week’s headline items: On Monday afternoon, Mercury enters its pre-shadow phase in Libra, and in the evening, the New Moon in Virgo becomes exact; Venus changes signs from Libra to Scorpio on Friday late afternoon; from Saturday late morning on, it’s time to start taking actions on our New Moon intentions; and on Sunday early morning, the Sun squares the degree of June 10th’s Solar Eclipse.
There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday afternoon (for almost 8 hours); Thursday night/Friday very early morning (for a little over 1 hour); and Sunday very early morning (for 3 hours).
Before we get to this week’s forecast, I’d like to mention:
As most of you already know from last week’s blog, Monday, Sept. 6th around 4pm EDT, Mercury enters its pre-Shadow phase when it reaches 10º 08’ of Libra. This is 3 weeks prior to its Retrograde phase (which starts on Sept 27th).
Use these three weeks wisely! Prepare for Mercury’s pre-Shadow phase in Libra… last chance to watch: “Mercury’s pre-Shadow phase Sept. 2021” — to see how this relates to your own Birth Chart… and it is currently on SALE!

Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, September 6th:
Monday is a big day!!! The Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day. It will journey there until Tuesday late evening.
Monday morning, a harmonious Mars/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 8:20am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Wednesday evening (Sept. 1st) on; and it will remain strong until this Friday evening (Sept. 10th). This aspect brings a powerful ability to pursue and accomplish our objectives. We are able to see more clearly where we are heading and where we want to commit.
Our vitality and energy levels are at a high point. We are most likely feeling ambitious and dynamic right now. Our recuperative powers are excellent and our health is robust. We might feel inspired to build up our physical strength during this astrological influence, and this is a good idea — we can develop greater endurance and vitality now, which will rejuvenate our body.
This is definitely a strong energy for steady, practical, down-to-earth work on a project. It is also quite a sexy combination. As best as you can, leverage this powerful mixture of energies to go after the things you have been wanting for a while now… and as Pluto is involved, use it all to fulfill on your Soul’s purpose.
Anything that we feel deeply passionate about and that feels in complete alignment with our deepest core, is very likely part of our Soul’s journey. What moves you? What turns you on? Not just on a physical level but also on an emotional and spiritual level? If you had all the resources that you needed, what might you choose to manifest?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 21-28 degrees of Virgo, Capricorn, or Taurus? If so, you will be even more blessed by this aspect than those who do not; this is also true for those of us with our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Scorpio (Mars being the ruler of Aries; Pluto rules Scorpio)
Also on Monday morning, a harmonious Venus/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 9:05am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Friday evening (Sept. 3rd) on; and it will remain strong until this Wednesday (Sept. 8th). This aspect brings a good dose of optimism, faith and a sense of the “bigger picture” to our relationships and finances.
We tend to relate to others in a positive (even inspiring) manner; as you can imagine, it is thus much easier to make social contacts. This could also be a lazy and self-indulgent time 🙂
Our outlook is cheerful and hopeful, the atmosphere cooperative. Integrity and loyalty are favored; it’s a great time for winning people’s trust. We are more open and trusting with friends, partners and collaborators. We might feel an urge to connect to people from other countries or foreign cultures, just to have an adventure, or widen our horizons.
Ask yourself: What opportunities are opening up to me at this time? What connections might bring about expansion? What if I asked “who” as well as “how”?
Financially, there might be a tendency to spend more than usual, as we feel confident that an abundance of resources is available to us.
There are indeed plenty of opportunities to be had, financial and otherwise, especially in connection with collaborative projects, community projects, political endeavors, or endeavors that require justice or a just cause 😉
The thing to watch out for is the feeling that we don’t have to actually do anything to “cash in”
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 22-28 degrees of Libra, Aquarius or Gemini? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Sagittarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).
Monday evening, at 8:52pm EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 14.5 degrees of Virgo, marking the beginning of a new Moon cycle. We started to feel the effects of this New Moon the moment the Moon entered Virgo on Sunday evening (Sept. 5th). Feel free to watch my New Moon video on the subject.
This New Moon has an abundance of planets in Earth & Air signs: the Moon, the Sun, and Mars in Virgo, Pluto in Capricorn, and Uranus in Taurus (all planets in Earth Signs) and then Mercury and Venus in Libra, Saturn and Jupiter in Aquarius, and the North Node in Gemini (Air Signs).
The element of Earth deals with the physical reality of things and usually requires a practical approach. The Air element deals with the mental level; usually we have the ability to look at what’s ideal and how we might create it through connection with others. This means that our focus will be on those things for the next four weeks — on both the individual and collective levels.
I will talk more about this in connection with the planetary aspects of this New Moon chart, but first let’s look at the Virgo energy of this New Moon:
Virgo provides an opportunity to learn about being of service — and what it might mean to strengthen our focus on improving our daily routines — getting organized, for example — and taking care of health matters.
A great way to step into the higher vibrations of Virgo: recognize, as best as you can, that humility, self-improvement, and being of service bring you closer to your inner divinity and your Soul’s path.
Ask yourself: How could I, as a Spirit-being, operate more efficiently in the physical world? Might tweaking my daily routines help me function better in the physical world? Might that also support me in being of service? What benefits might I reap if I could better discern between the essential and the redundant?
This New Moon cycle will thus be a great time to begin… To read the whole article and get all the Coaching Questions for this month’s New Moon, click here.
Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 12-17 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle. Intentions are best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact — and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.
So this month, the best and most potent time to set intentions would be between 8:52pm Monday evening (Sept. 6th) and 3:24pm Tuesday afternoon (Sept. 7th); and then again from 11:20pm on Sept. 7th until 8:52pm on Wednesday, Sept. 8th (New York-time).
Monday late evening, a harmonious Sun/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 9:29pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Friday evening (Sept. 3rd) on; and it will remain strong until this Thursday evening (Sept. 9th). This aspect connects us to a strong energy field — physical and metaphysical.
We feel alive, want to create a better future for ourselves and others on a very practical level, and are excited to do it. Watch out for messages from the Universe 🙂
Originality and innovation come easy to us, as does connection with like-minded people. We can celebrate (and leverage) our idealism and unorthodox approaches to life’s challenges. Ask yourself: What if I expressed what I uniquely valued without apologies? What if I did it with authenticity and enthusiasm?
How might sudden ideas spark activities that feel in alignment with my personal values? And, looking at things from a different angle: What might be possible on a practical level with a bigger network of like-minded people?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or personal planets in 11-18 degrees of Virgo, Taurus, or Capricorn? If so, you will feel more blessed by this planetary connection than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aquarius or Leo (the Sun rules Leo; Uranus rules Aquarius).
Also on Monday late evening, a somewhat challenging Mars/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 11:50pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Sunday late evening (Sept. 5th) on; and it will remain strong until Tuesday late evening. We feel uneasy about something, sort of awkward — and we need to make adjustments — first though, we must develop an inner awareness of what exactly needs adjusting.
We come to realize that we might have become overly enthusiastic and optimistic. What’s more, our drive for a collective cause is actually leaving us feeling drained and frustrated, while at the same time, we harbor a strong desire to improve our daily health regimes and the data that supports those improved routines.
It will help us manage both these energies if we look more closely at how we use our own energy: simply put, are we in tune with our physical body? Are we making healthy decisions?
Ask yourself: Could I connect and collaborate with my communities and still find time to improve my own health or work routines?
Am I being too impulsive or impatient? Restless? What might it look like if I focused my energies towards being of Service?
It’s also worthwhile to examine how our personal belief systems impact our communities and networks or vice versa. Can we stay open to new philosophies that are held collectively — and to what they offer us? And perhaps also toward our desire to further expand our visions for humanity?
Ignoring conflict will not serve us now, nor will being overly analytical or critical of ourselves or others; as best as you can, slow down and stay tuned in to your physical body.
Ask yourself: Is doing more, necessarily better? How might “doing too much” impact my well-being? Where might I be bringing an attitude that doesn’t serve my physical and mental well-being? (A good place to “aim” this question is toward the “collective bigger picture”)
Here’s another question you may find helpful: If I check against my direct experience, how do collective assumptions or “stories” impact my physical and mental well-being?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 24-26 degrees of Virgo or Aquarius? Do you have an Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Sagittarius? If so, you will be…

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 24-26 degrees of Virgo or Aquarius? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Sagittarius (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Jupiter rules Sagittarius).
Tuesday, Sept. 7th:
Tuesday, the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo until 11:20pm EDT. This turns our focus toward the practical and wholesome. We are generous with our time/services and we love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world — things and knowledge we can apply and use.
Health might also come into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals.
Tuesday before 3:24pm or after 11:20pm EDT: If you haven’t set your New Moon Intentions yet, there is still time! You have until 8:52pm EDT tomorrow (Wednesday). If possible, align them with the New Moon energies that I spoke about in my last video — feel free to watch it again if you are not sure anymore — click here to watch my video on the New Moon in Virgo .
For more info on how to best set your New Moon Intentions, click here to read my article on the subject.
Tuesday at 3:24pm EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for almost 8 hours, until 11:20pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to connect with people who can support you in making those work or health improvements that you’ve been meaning to get to. Make well-being your goal!
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Tuesday afternoon until very late evening ahead of time.
Tuesday at 11:20pm EDT, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until very early morning Friday. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.
We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time, and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. These next two days are a great time for mediation — but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might like.
We may also be able to see both sides of the equation so well that we can’t make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm — even if it’s “No” 😉 One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.
Wednesday, Sept. 8th:
Wednesday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Tuesday very late evening for details). If you haven’t set your New Moon Intentions yet, there is still time! You have until 8:52pm EDT today (Wednesday).
If possible, align them with the New Moon energies that I spoke about in my last video — feel free to watch it again if you are not sure anymore ==> click here to watch my video on the New Moon in Virgo .

Wednesday very early morning, a Mercury/Chiron opposition becomes exact at 12:30am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Sunday evening (Sept 5th) on; and it will remain strong until this Friday evening. We can balance our ability to think and speak justly with any wounding and insecurity around the masculine energies (asserting ourselves, going after something, or being actively engaged with life and others).
This aspect may play out in a relationship, with each of you living out one side of the equation. We may experience guilt or shame around something we said or didn’t say.
Ask yourself: How might we be able to support each other on our individual healing journeys? Could I allow others to share something with me that might contribute to a more holistic exploration of my “persona”? How about vice versa? Could I share something with others that might contribute to a more holistic exploration of someone else’s persona, identity or personal goals?
If you feel triggered by someone else (or vice versa), as best as you can, direct compassion and kindness towards both of you. Ask yourself: Is this connected to my past and/or upbringing? What if this were an opportunity to embrace my wounded inner child with love and kindness?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in degrees of 8-15 Libra, Aries, Capricorn, or Cancer? If so, you may feel more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo).
Wednesday evening, we are invited to connect with others one-on-one, and seek to have a balanced experience whenever possible. What if you communicated from a fair and collaborative standpoint? What if you listened with the intention of creating win-wins? (Moon conjuncts Mercury in Libra, exact at 9:01pm EDT)
Wednesday night/Thursday very early morning, calls for some inner adjustments, as we feel uneasy or awkward, and need to make a choice. Making this choice demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: on the one hand, we want to innovate in the area of our values (and maybe also have some financial breakthroughs); on the other hand, the feel the need to attend to our one-on-one relationships, supporting them (and perhaps collaborating). (Moon in Libra quincunxes Uranus in Taurus, exact Thursday at 12:11am EDT)
Thursday, Sept. 9th:
Thursday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Tuesday very late evening for details).
Thursday late morning/early afternoon, we are invited to make some internal adjustments. We may want to connect with others, but may also need to tune in to our intuitive inner voice. What do you hear when you get really quiet? (Moon in Libra quincunxes Neptune in Pisces, exact at 12:28pm EDT).
Thursday late afternoon, we may need to make some adjustments and find creative ways to work with the energies at play: On the one hand we need to collaborate with others and play nice, on the other hand, we feel a deep desire to be authentic and truthful about what we want to build long-term.(Moon in Libra squares Pluto in Capricorn, exact at 4:48pm EDT)
Thursday early evening, we get a chance to connect with like-minded people, expand each other’s minds, and collaborate in a way that allows us to see the bigger picture. (Moon in Libra trines Jupiter in Aquarius, exact at 5:03pm EDT)
Thursday night/Friday very early morning, at 12:48am EDT, we enter a brief Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for a little over 1 hour, until 2:05am EDT. If you are awake during this intuitive time, use it to connect with others one-on-one, and seek to have a balanced experience whenever possible. What if you collaborated on something that created a win-win?
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday night/Friday very early morning ahead of time.
Friday, Sept. 10th:
Friday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra until 2:05am EDT (see Tuesday very late evening for details).
Friday at 2:05am EDT, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until very early morning Friday. We feel things deeply and have “X-Ray Vision” and “Bullshit-Smelling Abilities” 😉
Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us at this time; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as flat-out dishonest. Once we feel safe trusting someone, we want to merge with them, preferably forever… as long as our trust is never betrayed.
The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. This occurs by a process of subtraction — it urges us to let go of whatever disempowers us. It’s therefore an excellent time to look at “old” fears, limiting habits or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.
Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity — it’s “in or out”, “with us or against us”, “love me or leave me”. It can therefore be stormy — a cold winter storm, or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we “work” the energies 🙂
Manipulation and paranoia are the lower vibrations of this aspect, so as best you can, be straightforward — act in good faith and assume it in others. Best of all, be truly present to the fluctuations of your feelings — no matter if they’re “polite” or “timely”.
Feelings aren’t facts, but they are information — and heeding them will help you embrace all of who you are.
Know thyself — and love thyself — you shall be set free. Remember: Love connects us to the Power within; Fear causes “Force” to show up — and that’s ultimately what disempowers us and others.
Friday early afternoon, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 12:17pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Thursday early afternoon on; and it will remain strong until Saturday early afternoon. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward — and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed if we’re to see what needs adjusting.
It could be hard to make decisions under this influence, as we tend to doubt our perceptions or our problem-solving ability. It may also be hard to read the intention behind the words used to communicate, leading to misunderstandings: we tend to feel uncomfortable — a sort of “inner itchiness”.
As best you can, give yourself time to respond, allow your breath to ground you — and empower yourself and others by coming from love rather than fear — after all, at this moment (if you stay out of memory and away from concepts and imaginary futures), aren’t you actually ok?
Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 13-16 degrees of Libra or Taurus? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo, or Sagittarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Jupiter of Sagittarius).
Friday late afternoon, at 4:39pm EDT, Venus changes signs from harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra to passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio. She will journey there until Oct. 7th.
Until then, our relationships will get a lot of attention. We have a unique intensity, coupled with a willingness to commit; our actions in love tend to promise deep commitment and sexual pleasure, even if we are not talking about this directly.
Venus in Scorpio seems fearless when it comes to intimacy. We are intensely loyal at this time, and will expect the same from our partner; mistrust is the biggest obstacle to forming a relationship. We feel a need to cut through the fluff and can see others exactly for who they are — it’s like having X-ray vision of the heart.
As best as you can, honor this by being straight with others — especially if it’s someone you have (or want to have) a committed relationship with.
With regards to finances, we are more likely to put our money into things we feel really passionate about. Investments in transformational programs are recommended, as are partnerships in general.
Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra? If so, you will feel more passionate and deeply loyal for the next 4 weeks; your heart will want to go deeper and connect intimately with others. If you are a Scorpio Sun-sign or Rising-sign, for as long as Venus is in your sign, you will attract more love, abundance and beauty into your life.
Saturday, Sept. 11th:
Saturday, the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Friday very early morning for details).
Saturday very early morning, we are invited to examine our relationship to money, power, and resources (personal and shared). Ask yourself: How can I balance my need for a deeper, more empowered experience with others, against my wish to honor my personal values and desire for freedom? (Moon in Scorpio opposes Uranus in Taurus, exact at 2:37am EDT)
Saturday from 10:08am EDT on, it’s time to take actions on our New Moon intentions: if you set Intentions this week Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday — after the New Moon became exact — today (Saturday) will be the best time to take relevant actions. If you wrote your intentions down, go back and take another look at what came through intuitively. If you didn’t write anything down, get quiet for a moment and check in with yourself: What actions are calling to me?
Saturday afternoon, we are likely to experience a sense of ease and flow, but may need to slow down and allow our feelings to come through. A gentle approach is best. We feel good when coming from the heart and making deeper connections with others. Being open to receiving, trusting the process and going with the flow are key! (Moon in Scorpio trines Neptune in Pisces, exact at 2:50pm EDT)
Saturday evening, we are invited to make some adjustments in our lives and find creative solutions to seemingly unsolvable situations. As best as you can, look to expand your perspectives around any visions and hopes you hold for the future or for humanity, and find ways to take care of your need for deeper, more intimate connections. (Moon in Scorpio squares Jupiter in Aquarius, exact at 7:08pm EDT)
Also, on Saturday evening, we feel good about making deeper connections; we’ll have an opportunity to become fully committed to a project or task, something that might serve us long-term. (Moon in Scorpio sextiles Pluto in Capricorn, exact at 7:13pm EDT)
Sunday, Sept 12th:
Sunday, the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio until 4:34am EDT (see Friday very early morning for details).
Saturday night/Sunday at 1:33am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for 3 hours, until 4:34am EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to connect and go deeper — and perhaps also to take a look at your daily routines to see how empowering they are for you and your intimate relationships.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Saturday night until Sunday early morning ahead of time
Sunday around 4am EDT, when the Sun reaches 19º47′ of Virgo, the Sun will square the degree of June 10th’s Solar Eclipse (in Gemini). We are at a potential turning point. Watch for important insights and developments today.
An open, curious, inquisitive mind is a most valuable resource, especially if we can also discern which information is valuable and useful to us. Ask yourself: What information have I found most useful and valuable since June 10th?
If I really stop and check, am I ready to discern what’s most healthy for my physical and mental well-being? What do I observe? What works best for my system? Could I remain neutral about my discoveries?
Sunday at 4:34am EDT, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, where it will journey until next week, Tuesday morning (Sept. 14th). We’re strongly motivated to explore and learn. We’re not likely to be big fans of routine — diversity and new adventures work best at this time — we’re also physically restless and need to burn that off with activity and physical exercise.
We tend to feel more open, optimistic and inspired — but we also have a high degree of independence — and taking these two influences together, this means we’d rather inspire others to do things our way, as opposed to issuing or obeying orders. Inspiring others could come easier than normal, as we can see the bigger picture, leaving us confident that others will agree with us, once they see what we see.
As best as you can, speak your truth without assuming that everyone is on the same page as you. Improvisation works well for us at this time, as we are spontaneous and love living on the edge — just watch out you aren’t overdoing or overstating things. This Moon placement also starts the build up towards the first Quarter Moon (exact Monday late afternoon – Sept.13th).
And…
A heads up for next Monday (Sept. 13th), the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day. In the late afternoon, at 4:39pm EDT, the first Quarter Moon in Sagittarius becomes exact. More about all the details in next week’s forecast : )
