On Nov. 12th at 8:34am EST, the Full Moon in almost 20 degrees of Taurus becomes exact. If you are a Member of my online community, feel free to watch my video on the subject.
All Full Moons offer opportunities for us to see things in a new light — and they guide us away from polarization and division, toward balance and integration. Full Moons also illuminate the truth and consequences of our choices — and this particular Full Moon provides a double dose of that.
The Sun is in Scorpio and the Moon is in Taurus; not only that, we are also dealing here with a Sun/Mercury alignment in Scorpio — and with Mercury being retrograde, its energy feels stronger inside of us. Because of the Retrograde component, this is an inner journey, an intuitive process. You may recall that I talked a little about this in the last New Moon video and in my “Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio” webinar (which is still available for purchase until Nov. 13th!)
We can ask ourselves here: What regrets, resentments, and misunderstandings need to be reconciled? Mercury Retrograde helps us recognize the part we played, the lessons we learned, and the necessity of forgiving everyone involved (even including ourselves).
Because of its retrograde status, Mercury will spend a little over two months in Scorpio, the sign most concerned with emotionally authentic relationships. This provides extra opportunities for integrating our “shadow” and healing any relationships issues connected to intimacy, honesty, or trust — and the latter may include core issues around shared resources and power struggles. (Oct. 3rd until Dec. 9th, 2019)
Neptune in Pisces is stationing at the time of the Full Moon, and therefore exalted, bringing a heightened sensitivity towards our surroundings (including fellow humans and other beings); a gentler, more intuitive approach works very well here.
We also get a chance to see how far we have come since the New Moon phase began on Oct. 27th – 28th, so ask yourself:
How far have I come in regards to investigating or understanding my deepest desires? How am I doing with owning the previously denied or rejected parts of myself? What might the next step be down that path? What decisions could I make over the next two weeks that might support me on this journey?
Now let’s look at the Scorpio/Taurus polarity in more detail:
This Full Moon has both a Taurus and a Scorpio spotlight — one spotlights our relationship to our…

This Full Moon has both a Taurus and a Scorpio spotlight — one spotlights our relationship to our physical body, what we value on the physical plane, and the planet we live on (Taurus) — while the other highlights our relationship to emotional authenticity, intimacy/sexuality, empowerment/disempowerment, death/rebirth, endings/beginnings (Scorpio) — it is asking us to recognize our deepest desires and truest motivations.
You can ask yourself with this Full Moon: What do I truly value? What deserves my attention, appreciation, and care? Which of my values stem from social conditioning?
At its best, Scorpio is associated with transformation, and our capacity to shed what may have served us in the past but now hinders our growth. We are indeed being asked to shed something in our life — a false belief, perhaps, or a “fake” identity or “way of being” — but it could also be a relationship, job, or something else more concrete.
The Sun/Mercury alignment in Scorpio brings a heightened focus towards thinking about the unknown, facing our worst fears, or dealing with loss in some way — letting go of the “old” to let in the “new”.
If we remain attached to the “old” (through fear of letting go of it to meet the “new”), we are likely to experience this as a dark, difficult transition in our lives — but if not, it could help us build inner strength and show us what cannot be taken away — we will see at last that nothing outside of us can take away the power and resilience that lives inside of us.
Ask yourself: What has come up for me since Oct. 11th? What, if anything, have I already revisited or even reprocessed since Mercury went retrograde back on Oct. 31st?
What am I still obsessing about? Scared about? What if I surrendered my fears 5% more deeply than I have in the past? What if I gave myself 5% more freedom to sense my inner strength, my fierce, open heart, and the passionate love for life that is pumping through my veins? What place of power would I stand in then?
The Sun’s passage through Scorpio is a time of transition, a time to go within to honor the realities of death and rebirth, the cycle of life, the most natural thing there is.
Scorpio ultimately teaches us that every ending is also a beginning — but the denser vibrations of Scorpio tend to bring up trust issues, black-and-white thinking, addiction to drama and darkness (or substances) — and anything we want to prevent. We could find ourselves coming from an instinctual, self-protective place, from survival, rather than intuition and love-based spaciousness.
Ask yourself here: What am I invited to shed? Is there a cycle in my life that is ending? What might a new beginning look like?
The other pole in this balancing act is Taurus, which seeks a healthy relationship with the physical world… The Moon in Taurus calls us back to our senses. Taurus is often associated with money, but the sign is ultimately about our values, of which money is a subset.
We are invited to remember that we are blessed with a miraculous birthday suit and a beautiful, precious planet; if we feel unworthy or empty inside, material objects or accumulations can only serve as a substitute or distraction from the emptiness that comes from forgetting those facts.
Ask yourself: What do I spend my time, energy, and money on? If this reflected my relationship with myself, what might that mirror show me? Do I feel worthy? Do I value myself? How do I show my value?
Do I seem to struggle with money (accumulating it, keeping it, making the most of it, etc.)? Does money fill an emotional void in my life? Do material objects do that? Or is money simply a tool or an energy exchange for me? How might a shift in perspective help resolve my relationship to money — and ultimately towards myself?
Taurus teaches us about the power of beauty, and about things that make us happy on a physical level; we are also called to develop our talents and sense of self-worth — and are helped to discover and manifest what we truly value and enjoy.
If we are to experience the highest vibration of Taurus, a healthy sense of self-worth is critical, so ask yourself: What matters most to me? What makes me happy deep down? What is in the way of me honoring the physical plane? Of honoring my body? The planet? Physical beauty?
What is between me and feeling valued in the world? What if I was the only one of me there will ever be? What might my value be then?
In Taurus, we discover what we most require; in Scorpio, we explore what we most desire… and fear.
Venus (the traditional ruler of Taurus) is currently in Sagittarius, and squaring Neptune in Pisces. This suggests that the key to loving and valuing ourselves currently lies in the realization that we are spirit beings on a constant journey towards growth and evolution — a journey which requires an open mind, an open heart, kindness, and acceptance.
This invites us to be more aware of our current connection to the divine and what we believe about it. It heightens our imagination, intuition, and compassion — but it could also make us more susceptible to fantasy, wishful thinking, or escapism, especially when it comes to our relationships and financial decisions.
With this Square, ask yourself: Where do I feel the need to convert others? What might be possible if I allowed myself to shift from my conditioning (i.e. my social filters), to feeling, sensing, or simply connecting to the truth of who I am, the essence of “I AM THAT”?
Are there any relationships (the one to myself included) that are asking for a shift in perspective? Or for forgiveness? Compassion?
This aspect could bring some restlessness or overindulgence. As best as you can, don’t believe everything you hear, and keep checking in with others (or your higher Self) about what is actually so. You may also want to double-check yourself when it comes to physical indulgences (unhealthy foods, excessive or unsafe sex) or strong desires for escapism (alcohol, drugs, love, religion, cults).
Ask yourself: If there was a way to fully honor my spiritual Self in my relationships without the need to lose myself in the process… what might that way be?
Neptune in Pisces trines the Sun/Mercury alignment in Scorpio, and also sextiles the Moon in Taurus: This combo invites us to slow down, simplify, and reflect on how we could create more beauty, pleasure, and ease in our lives — as well as healthy emotional connections to others.
Ask yourself: How could trusting my intuitive voice support a healthy sense of self-worth and healthy emotional connections to others?
This combo also facilitates compassion for ourselves and others, encouraging us to resolve grudges or resentments — one of Scorpio’s primary themes is betrayal, which can take many forms — feeling betrayed by our parents, our body, our partner, our society, our religion, or our conditioned Self (Ego).
One thing to consider, is that when we feel betrayed, we tend to put blame on the “other party”. However, Neptune understands that there is no such thing as “blame”; the planet represents unconditional love, which is more a state of being rather than a feeling…
By bringing conscious awareness and loving acceptance to auto-pilot behaviors, reactions, or attitudes, we can start to see things in a new light, and thus come to a place of understanding, forgiveness, and self-acceptance.
Ask yourself: What could I do today, in this very moment even, to experience love as a state of being? Could it be as simple as simply allowing myself “to be”? And “be”? And “be”? From a perspective of “Beingness”, or “Awareness”, is it possible to betray or deceive ourselves or others?
Mars (the traditional ruler of Scorpio) is currently in Libra, sextiling Jupiter in Sagittarius. This aspect is an opportunity for us to tap into our optimism, enthusiasm, and sense of expansion. We are more likely to connect with others in an active and fun way.
Ask yourself: What action could I take right now, that would help create expansive collaborations, and support everyone involved in learning from each other? What perspectives or attitudes would support a “win-win” outcome in my relationships/partnerships?
Since Jupiter will be switching signs soon, we are at the last stretch of this particular growth experience — so let’s make it count! We will address Jupiter’s shift from Sagittarius to Capricorn in more detail in our next Forecasting Forum (live on Nov. 13th)… and if you’d like to find out how this planet’s one-year transit might impact you personally, join us!

Pluto (the modern ruler of Scorpio) is currently in Capricorn, aligning with Saturn; both of these planets currently trine the Moon in Taurus and sextile the Sun/Mercury alignment in Scorpio. This gives us an opportunity to investigate our thinking more realistically, especially when it comes to potentially outdated perspectives — so ask yourself: What is asking to be transformed? What needs to be investigated if I am to build something meaningful long-term?
What am I drawn to on a deep instinctual level? How might I achieve a shift from my familiar protective, analytical thinking, to not-so-familiar inspired, intuitive thinking? What do I feel truly passionate about?
This sobering combo is focused on self-responsibility and questions of “worth” — both our self-worth, and where we place value — and perhaps surprisingly, this could make it an excellent period for financial partnerships and innovation. Work we’ve done could pay off. We can manage our finances better, with more attention to sustainability, planning, and strategy — while also honoring our social and environmental responsibilities.
Ask yourself: How realistic am I about what I can afford? What does that mean for me long-term? How responsible am I about my finances and my long-term goals? What role does my environment play in all of this?
Do I live in accordance with what I truly value? Could I allow myself to take my time instead of rushing into something? Where would I set clear and healthy boundaries, if I were aiming to establish empowering relationships, based on a healthy sense of self-love?
To sum it all up: All together, this Full Moon challenges us to rethink our priorities, listen to our heart, use our power wisely, and remember we are all part of the human family.
Use the power of this Full Moon to get grounded in your physical and emotional body, break up any stagnation in your system or relationships, and accelerate your transformation by immersing yourself in a deeper connection to all of life. Connect to your deepest passions, let go of emotional attachments or traumas from the past — in other words, overcome your fears and connect deeply, intimately, and authentically to yourself and others.
Here are a few final coaching questions for this Full Moon: If letting go always brought more peace, what would I dare to release? If I knew for certain that holding on kept me small, could I then simply let go, as best I could? Might that give my higher power the space to support and guide me? How could my breath support me in effortlessly releasing the “old” and allowing the “new” to flow in?
Remember: When enough of us are able to keep our energy levels high, and authentically integrate all of who we are, those who rely on the denser energies will be forced either to change or leave… What if we were in human form at this time to assist with the birthing of a new and higher collective consciousness on Earth? Talk about “Be the change you want to see”! (Yes, Gandhi is one of my favorites, and that’s probably my favorite quote of his 😉
