On Nov. 26th at 10:06am EST, the New Moon in 4 degrees of Sagittarius becomes exact. With the New Moon in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, we seek to expand our day-to-day knowledge and look for a larger perspective. Also feel free to watch my New Moon video on the subject
For the next four weeks, ask yourself: What philosophies most resonate with me? What universal truths feel immediately in alignment with my direct experience of life so far? What stories have I been telling myself about life? Where is my understanding on life? Do I see the glass as half-full or half-empty? Do I shy away from new adventures or thrive on exploring new territory?
Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, is still on its own sign until Dec. 2nd. This is our last chance to step into a new adventure and experience some personal growth, before Jupiter moves into sobering, practical, ambitious Capricorn.
If you want to know how this one-year Jupiter transit through Capricorn might impact you personally, I invite you to purchase my 105 minute webinar on the subject: click here, or for a quick preview check out this 17-minute excerpt of the webinar
You can also get the whole webinar for FREE if you join as a Star Member of my online community by Dec. 2nd! Any general questions, feel free to reach out to: info@AstrologerCoach.com
Back to the New Moon chart:
Anything that expands our perspective is of interest to us, especially until Dec. 2nd; this could involve things like travel, higher education, foreign cultures, or the search for a higher “meaning of life” and our existence on this planet. Ask yourself…

Ask yourself: Might stepping outside of my daily routines bring me to a place where I can see myself (or life) from a new perspective?
Spiritual or mental journeys can definitely flourish at this time, as can ventures into a greater truth; we may well feel more vital, confident, and optimistic when it comes to those journeys — but if we don’t channel this energy into something that elevates our mind and soul, we may become a little restless.
With the ruler of the New Moon also in Sagittarius, we may also be prone to exaggeration or impatience… as best as you can, channel all that fiery energy into something worthwhile. After all, we do feel quite optimistic — and that helps us attract positive circumstances.
Ask yourself: What can I do with all the energy coming through? How might I use it to my advantage? Could I go beyond what I’ve known myself to be? What might be one courageous act, one leap of faith, that might shift things for me for the long-term?
Be open to shifting your perceptions. You might ask: What are my attitudes towards life? Towards “that situation”? Where do I insist on “being right”? How do I usually feel afterwards?
Here it’s wise to distinguish between three truths: my truth, your truth, and “the truth” — what we need to watch out for is when “my truth” morphs into “the truth”.
Seeing through the illusion of separation from the divine is perhaps the greatest perspective shift of all. This brings me to the next important part of this New Moon chart:
Neptune is stationing, and therefore exalted, in Pisces (its own sign); and it ends its 5-month Retrograde phase less than 24 hours after the New Moon becomes exact.
Ask yourself: What has come up since early November around resting, trusting, and allowing? How closely am I in touch with my intuition? What might be possible if I allowed myself to shift from my conditioning to feeling into the truth of who I am? Where am I ready to move forward with a creative or spiritual endeavor? Or perhaps a long-term dream?
Neptune also makes a trine to Mercury in Scorpio, which is no longer Retrograde, but still in its Shadow phase until Dec. 7th. This is therefore the third time these two planets are making a Trine to each other within the past 6 weeks (the first was back on Oct. 15th, Nov. 13th was the second one, and Nov. 28th will be the third one)… think back to those first two times, and ask yourself:
What came up around those dates? What did I discover about my imaginative thinking or intuitive listening? Do I get pulled towards instinctive imaginings based in fear stemming from past experiences? Or am I rather moving towards intuitive imagination based on an open-hearted future?
This Trine does invite us slow down and allow our feelings to come through. A gentle approach is best — we feel good when coming from the heart and making deeper connections with others. Being open to receiving, trusting the process, and going with the flow are key!
The New Moon in Sagittarius quincunxes Uranus in Taurus: this indicates a certain degree of restlessness and energetic discomfort in our interactions with others. On the one hand, we want to mentally explore and go beyond what we already know — and on the other hand, we have the need for breakthroughs or changes connected to the physical/material plane.
We need to ask ourselves here: What might become possible if I got 5% more comfortable with being uncomfortable? Or 5% more comfortable embracing uncertainty? Allowing it to be a natural part of the human experience?
What if rushing would not bring the breakthrough? How flexible could I be for the next four weeks, if I really tried? What needs to be shifted internally so I can stay open and ready to update my values and preferences?
The New Moon in Sagittarius also trines Chiron in Aries: There’s an opportunity here to be compassionate toward ourselves & others — and also for connecting to a new perspective that supports our healing journey around the masculine energies. As best as you can, bring a healing quality to the table, while exploring the bigger picture by tapping into things on a holistic level.
Ask yourself: What if a wider perspective on life and myself pointed toward acceptance and compassion around my anger and/or assertion? Even “triggered” anger? What attitude would support my healing around my “inner masculine”? Might a holistic approach — seeing myself as a spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical being — support my personal growth at this time?
Jupiter in Sagittarius aligns with Venus in Capricorn, and they both square Chiron in Aries, and trine Uranus in Taurus. Let’s unpack that, starting with the Jupiter/Venus alignment: as you can probably tell, they are not in the same sign yet, and won’t be until Dec. 2nd. That said, they are very close to each other (within 2 degrees), and so influence each other quite a bit.
This connection brings a certain optimism to social and business relationships, so ask yourself: What’s possible for me with long-term or business alliances?
Keep in mind: Humor plays a crucial role in our interactions with others at this time, as do tolerance, open-mindedness, and enthusiasm.
Now let’s look at the Square to Chiron in Aries. This aspect asks us to stretch and grow — on the one hand, we want to portray ourselves as self-reliant, mature, expert; on the other hand, we might feel insecure, small, flawed — or, at the very least, very different from what’s expected of us. Whenever Chiron is involved, we are being asked to do some healing work — so as best as you can, use this time to learn about your sore spots. Nobody is perfect; we all have our flaws and idiosyncrasies… It’s ok. Self-Acceptance and inclusivity is key!
Ask yourself: What might change if I showed 5% more compassion toward my insecurities? What if I just decided to take an active part in my own healing process? What would be possible if I shifted the story about those “so-called flaws”?
What if I celebrated my flaws, idiosyncrasies, and insecurities? What if my personal limitations were my main drivers for taking creative approaches? What if those approaches help me move beyond the traditional, socially “expectable” and acceptable? What if that meant moving into my unique Self?
And lastly also the Trine to Uranus in Taurus: This helps us to embrace all that is new and unusual when interacting with others. We are ready to experiment, have an offbeat attitude, and people are more willing to socialize.
Ask yourself: Who could help me learn something new about my unique talents or show me my value to the world? How could I implement revolutionary business or social practices that support my current values and make life tangibly more enjoyable for everyone who interacts with me socially or does business with me?
Mars in Scorpio opposes Uranus in Taurus. Mars wants to more deeply connect (perhaps even merge) with others. Uranus urges us to let go of traditional values and focus on a better future for everyone involved. We are invited to examine our relationship to money, power, and resources (personal and shared). This opposition therefore calls us to balance “merging” with “having a breakthrough”.
You might want to ask yourself: What actions are calling to me within my intimate or financial partnerships? Could I shake things up a little without being oppositional or offensive? Could I give myself some space when it comes to those partnerships? How can I balance my desire for a deeper, more empowered experience with others, against my wish to honor my new (and maybe different) values, and my personal freedom?
One last thing: disempowering tendencies must be left behind on our journey towards wholeness. Ask yourself: What does a healthy relationship with myself and others look like to me? What role does “attachment” play in all of this?
If this New Moon had a core message, it would be this:
While flexibility and open-mindedness are always helpful, they are especially important now, so notice when you are digging your heels in about something — it’s usually a sign that you have some underlying anxiety about something else. Take a deep breath, get centered in your body, close your eyes and focus on your third eye.
From this centered place, ask yourself: What am I afraid of happening? How might I channel this restless energy into projects that are asking for progress? How might I channel, or just burn off, all this erratic energy? What kind of exercise might be an energetic match? Where am I stagnating?
Here’s a passage from a Newsletter I receive every month that really fits:
“Appearances that reflect separation have no law to support or maintain them other than the energy they are fed through belief. It is time to stop feeding them with energies of fear, resistance, attachment, denial etc. You are now ready to do whatever needs to be done personally or globally from the higher levels of awareness you have attained… [Most of us] hold very narrow ideas of what constitutes love… Change the phrase “love whatever arises” to “allow whatever arises”. When you allow whatever arises from your highest level of spiritual awareness, you are loving whatever arises. To see, understand, and accept something from a level of knowing the truth that underlies the appearance is love because you are in alignment with reality — oneness” — Arcturian Group message November 17, 2019, channeled by Marilyn Raffaele
As best as you can, provide yourself with compassion and understanding — embrace your inner divinity in all its infinite wonder and capacity to simply know. Ask yourself: If there was a reason for me to be here, what might that reason be? Where am I headed? What do I believe — and what do I simply “know”? Where do I need to take a leap of faith… or simply trust?
Keep looking at what needs to heal, what needs to be communicated, and keep looking for the completion of “deeper” issues in your life. Again, feel free to watch my New Moon video on the subject

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 2-6 degrees of Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo, or Pisces? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle. Intentions are best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact — and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase. So this month, the best and most potent times to set intentions would be any time between 10:06am Tuesday late morning (Nov. 26th) until 5:50am Thursday morning (Nov. 28th); and then again from 7:33am until 10:06am, also on Thursday morning (Nov. 28th). (EST- New York-time)
Note, however, that there is a Moon void of course on Thursday early morning — it runs from 5:50am until 7:33am EST. Don’t set your intentions during those 103 minutes — instead, allow intuition to surface possible intentions while you wait. For more info on setting New Moon Intentions, click here
If you live outside the EST timezone (i.e. US East Coast time), I recommend you join my Facebook Fan-page or follow me on Twitter; I will be posting reminders on Nov. 26th, 27th and 28th to let you know when it is time to set your intentions 😉
PS: Since this is the last New Moon before Eclipse season begins, I want to invite you to join me either live on Dec. 16th or virtually after the 16th, to talk about the upcoming Eclipses as well as a Look at the whole year of 2020!
Feel free to register here — if you are not a Member of my online community yet, registration also includes access to the next Members Full Moon video. And, best of all! If you join as a Star Member by Dec. 2nd, the Monthly Forecasting Forum is included in your Membership and you will also get the “Jupiter in Capricorn” webinar for FREE!
