On June 5th at 3:12pm EDT,a powerful Full Moon in 15.5 degrees of Sagittarius becomes exact; this powerful Full Moon is also a Lunar Eclipse — and as such, its energy is unusually intense.
The last Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius was on May 26th, 2002. Think back to that time: What happened then? What is possible now?

This is the first Lunar Eclipse in Sagittariussince the Moon Nodes have moved into Gemini/Sagittarius on May 5th (2020). And it is also the first of three Eclipses within the next 4 weeks. The Moon Nodes play a crucial role during Eclipses! Feel free to also check out my webinar on those Moon Nodes, here (if you haven’t seen it yet).
Let’s take a closer look at this Lunar Eclipse: The Moon in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius (which is aligned with the South Node) is making an opposition to the Sun in curious, quick-witted, versatile Gemini (which is aligned in turn with the North Node).
Lunar Eclipses direct our attention to whatever needs to be integrated and balanced on a collective and individual level over a longer period of time. Get ready for some big shifts in your life, especially around your relationship with your belief structures, and your ability to learn, stay adaptable, and use your day-to-day mind intelligently.
Our physical and emotional bodies strongly feel the intensity of it all. Just remember: Eclipses ultimately support a shift in consciousness and thus bring us closer to our Soul’s path.

This week’s headline items: Mercury enters its pre-Shadow phase in Cancer on Tuesday very early morning; a powerful Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius becomes exact on Friday; and there will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday morning (for almost 5.5 hours); Thursday morning (for a little over 5.5 hours); and Saturday very early morning (for a little over 15.5 hours).

Monday, June 1st:
Monday,the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seekingLibra all day. It will journey there until Tuesday early afternoon. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.
We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time, and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. These next two days are a great time for mediation — but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might like.
We may also be able see both sides of the equation so well that we can’t make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm — even if it’s “No” 😉 One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.
Monday very early morning, we become more aware that we need to find a balance between two very different energies — on the one hand, taking a compassionate approach towards our personal goals, while being assertive in the world — and on the other hand, our need to connect and collaborate with others. Ask yourself: what if taking a compassionate approach towards myself actually made for more fulfilling connections with others?
Monday morning, we are invited to make some internal adjustments. We may want to connect with others, but may also need to become aware of our intuitive, more creative side. What do you feel/sense when you get really quiet? What actions are calling to you?
Monday late morning, we feel social and seek connection on a mental level. As best as you can, have stimulating conversations — and allow for collaboration.
Monday late evening, we are invited to make some more internal adjustments. We may want to connect with others, but may also need to tune into our intuitive inner voice. As you did earlier in the day, ask yourself: What do I sense when I get really quiet? Could a compassionate heart bring peace to your interactions with others?
Monday night/Tuesday very early morning, Mercury enters its pre-Shadow phase when it reaches 5.5 degrees of Cancer; this is a little over 2 weeks prior to its Retrograde phase (which starts on June 18th).
What is the Shadow phase? The period immediately before and after a planet’s Retrograde phase is referred to as the “Shadow phase”; at these times, the planet travels through the degrees of a sign that it will later pass through again during its Retrograde phase, and then once more after the Retrograde phase (for a total of three passes over the same territory.)
Mercury is usually in its shadow for about two to three weeks both before and after a retrograde.
This gives us a chance to look at our thoughts, communications, or mental exchanges connected to the past, our home, or family issues — so look carefully at whatever shows up in those areas of your life during the first Shadow phase; you will get a chance to readdress, revisit, or reorganize those thoughts and issues during the Mercury Retrograde phase (June 18th – July 12th).
If you love to write things down, I suggest that you record important conversations or thoughts in your calendar during the pre-Shadow phase.

Monday, May 25th:
Monday,the Moon remains in protective, nurturingCancer all day. It will journey there until Wednesday very early morning. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say and therefore our feelings are more easily hurt — so be kind to yourself and others. Self-Care is key for the next two days 😉
Emotional safety is important to us as well; we like connecting to the familiar and we enjoy nurturing ourselves and others — home and family call to us, for instance. Make sure though, that your own glass is full before letting others drink from it; if you don’t, you might start to feel drained and resentful.
Monday very early morning, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 12:26am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Sunday morning (May 24th) on; and it will remain strong until this Tuesday morning (May 26th). This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, awkward, and need to make a choice — so we need to develop inner awareness.
Our compulsive side may lead us down a path that evades rational understanding. Our judgments — of circumstances, ourselves, others — can be so extreme during this aspect that we can’t seem to make intelligent and consistent progress in our life for the three days it is in effect.
As best as you can, strive to be more trusting and less strict with yourself for these three days. Surrender to whatever you are experiencing right now: It is temporary 😉
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 24-26 degrees of Gemini or Capricorn? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Scorpio (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio).
Also, Mondayvery early morning, an opportune Mars/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 2:48am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last week Thursday evening (May 21st) on; and it will remain strong until this Thursday. We have the opportunity to create some forward movement in our lives, especially in connection to our future visions. We may want to work on projects with like-minded people right now. Flexibility is the key to success at this time; pleasant changes may be in store — certainly unexpected ones 😉
What is one of your unique goals? How could you go after what you want, while still keeping other people’s benefit in mind? As best as you can, watch out for messages from the Universe! Remember: an opportunity is not automatically given to us: We have to “realize” it.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 6-10 degrees of Pisces, Taurus, Cancer, or Virgo? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Aquarius (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius).
Also, on Monday, although now retrograde, Saturn resumes its normal pace through the sky, ending its station. What came up in the last four weeks around any commitments to build something long-term? How about the need to be more realistic? How truthful are you with yourself about “where you’re at”?
The Retrograde phase is a good time to do some internal work in these areas (the retrograde ends on Sept. 29th). We now have 4.5 months to go over….

On May 22nd at 1:39pm EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 2 degrees of Gemini; this marks not only the beginning of a new Moon cycle, but also the beginning of Eclipse season, which lasts until July 20th. I also recommend you watch my New Moon video on the subject, here.
Eclipses are times of uncertainty, Uranian in nature, so anything could happen between now and July 20th. It is important to remember that Eclipses open a door to the next level of our Soul’s evolution.
As best as you can, stay both grounded and flexible — and don’t jump the gun for the next 8.5 weeks — if you feel compelled to do something, do your best to simply observe the urge. The exception would be something that just happens organically, but if you are ambivalent about a possible action, better hold off until Eclipse Season ends on July 20th.
Eclipses bring major endings and beginnings. As best you can, trust that whatever is leaving is making space for something better — the more willing we are to change, the easier it will be.
That said, projects and interactions that got underway prior to Eclipse season (i.e. before May 22nd) are another matter — don’t stop your life just because it is Eclipse season 😉

One major thing to note in this New Moon chart, is that we now have 4 planets in Retrograde motion — and three of them are still stationing and therefore exalted. Something is “in our face” in regards to the energies of Saturn, Jupiter and Venus — something is demanding our attention and awareness. I will talk more about all of this below, but first let’s look at the Gemini influence of this New Moon:

Monday,the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-pacedAries all day. It will journey there until Tuesday late evening. Life is an adventure, we’re more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately.
Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body’s excess energy.
Monday very early morning, has lots of potential for healing around family, the “mother archetype”, home, and our past in general. We may feel more sensitive and insecure about what we identity with, and around our ability to be assertive; this gives us the opportunity to give ourselves some compassion, acceptance and nurturing in the face of our sensitivities and limitations.
Monday around noon EDT, the Balsamic Moon phase begins as the Moon reaches 13 degrees of Aries. This lasts until Friday afternoon, when the New Moon in Gemini becomes exact (more on that later in the week… however, to watch my New Moon video now already — click here).
We are being asked to slow down and get quiet, so we can listen to our intuition. For some of us, this might be a stretch. As best as you can: stay grounded, take a deep breath and exhale any tensions.

Don’t Exhaust Yourself — Forecast for May 11th – 17th
This week’s headline items: we have lots of planetary movements! Saturn comes to a halt, starting its yearly 4.5 month Retrograde phase early Monday, and Mercury changes signs from Taurus to Gemini that evening, while Jupiter’s station intensifies on Monday as well. Mars changes sign from Aquarius to Pisces Wednesday very early morning, while in the afternoon, Venus comes to a halt, starting her 6-week Retrograde phase. Late Thursday morning, we have the last Quarter Moon in Aquarius becoming exact and Jupiter coming to a halt, to begin its annual 4-month Retrograde phase. Although continuing retrograde, Pluto ends its Station phase on Sunday.
There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday morning (for a little over 5 hours); Thursday late morning (for almost 11.5 hours); and Sunday early morning (for a little over 5.5 hours).

Monday, May 11th:
Monday, the Moon remains in ambitious, goal-oriented Capricorn all day. It will journey there until Tuesday late morning. We tend to be more realistic, serious, cautious; this can support practical endeavors and financial matters.
Our ambition surges and brings with it a need for structure and planning; when you add in the pragmatism this aspect supports, you can see how this could be a very productive time for business and long-term goals. Our reputation becomes very important to us.
As best as you can during this aspect, avoid “should-ing” on yourself. Take the pressure off, perhaps by saying “I am doing the best I can and that’s all I can ever do” 😉
Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn — and it will be transiting through Aquarius until July 1st, making this a great time to take a look at our visions for humanity, and at anything we would like to accomplish long-term within our communities (locally or online).
It’s also a great time to take a more serious look at our various networks and connections to like-minded people; as best as you can, be authentic about your affiliations: Do they truly resonate with your personal vision for the future — as it stands now, rather than what it was 5 or 10 years ago? Monday very early morning, at 12:09am EDT, Saturn comes to a halt in almost 2 degrees of Aquarius and goes retrograde until Sept. 29th. Saturn represents our structures, responsibilities, commitments — and our ability to “do” life on life’s terms.
When this planet comes to a halt and turns retrograde, we get to see where we need to create or renew our commitments. As best as you can, take it all in and see where you would like to make adjustments. You will get a chance to do just that for the next 4.5 months.
If you have an Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 0-4 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, Scorpio, or 23-29 degrees of Capricorn, Cancer, Aries or Libra, you will be more affected by this Retrograde-phase. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Capricorn (Saturn being the ruler of Capricorn).
Also, Monday very early morning, a challenging Mercury/Mars aspect becomes exact at 3:33am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last week,Friday evening (May 10th) on; it will be strong untilthisWednesday morning. This aspect brings some juicy energy to our conversations. This is a chance to have some discussions that have been overdue.
As best as you can, make it a productive discussion that serves you and others — a win-win — otherwise you might feel really awful afterwards. Also, watch out on the road for crazy drivers… rushing might not necessarily get us there faster 😉

Monday at 5:58pm EDT, Mercury changes signs from steady, slow-paced Taurus to curious, quick-witted Gemini, where it will journey until May 28th. For the next 2 weeks, our thinking shifts gears: Mercury — the energy of communication — will pick up the pace of our lives just a little.
Mental exchanges and abilities take priority for the next two weeks — talking, writing, sharing, connecting to the world around us in whatever way we can (internet, phone, in person, TV, radio…). This is a time with great potential for studying and learning, curiosity and open-mindedness, and social/intellectual growth.
Make sure you don’t exhaust yourself during this time. As best as you can, keep taking breaks and let yourself see the larger picture now and again. Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo? If so, you will feel the pick up in pace more strongly.
Also on Monday, Jupiter’s Station intensifies at 27 degrees of Capricorn, as it is preparing to come to a halt on Thursday (starting its 4-month Retrograde phase). This intensified station will last until May 18th. We will feel its energy even more forcefully during this time.
As I mentioned back on May 2nd’s entry, when a planet stations, we start to be more fully aware of its energy; this awareness helps us to get more connected to those energies as they exist within us. We get to see where we need to embrace them more fully, so that we can use them in a healthy way, without getting lost in the lower vibrations of their expression.
Until May 18th, we have to face what this planet is trying to communicate to us: Jupiter represents our desire to seek insight via the gaining of knowledge. Some of this planet’s keywords: morality, gratitude, hope, honor, law.
Jupiter is also the planet of possibility, optimism, and growth (including mental and spiritual growth). It is also associated with a sense of humor, goodwill, and mercy.
The lower expressions of Jupiter include “Oh, the heck with it”, “I deserve this and more”, “the rules do not apply to me” — generally speaking: too much of a good thing, blind optimism, excess, stretching the truth, overindulgence.

On May 5th, 2020 very early in the morning, at 12:49am EDT, the Moon Nodes switched from Cancer/Capricorn to Gemini/Sagittarius; they will remain in those signs until January 2022! The last time the Moon Nodes were in these particular signs was back in October, 2001 – April 2003.
The transiting Moon Nodes show us what our Soul’s Journey currently requires on the collective and personal levels — let’s take a closer look at what this means:
The goal of the collective Soul’s journey is to balance and integrate two apparently opposite energies: our connection to information and communication (symbolized by Gemini), and our ability to see and go beyond the day-to-day, widen our perspective, and explore new paths while honoring our direct experience (linked to Sagittarius).
This will take looking closely at the balance between our mental processes and our quest for a larger truth or meaning.
This is also about being more conscious about our belief systems, perspectives, and attitudes towards life. It’s important to realize that the Sagittarian urge to “go beyond” is essential for our growth; in terms of balancing these energies, that same urge plays a crucial role in how we interact with others and share information (Gemini).
To get a more personal interpretation, we also need to take a look at the House placement of that Gemini/Sagittariuspolarity in our own birth charts, as well as the signs involved… we cover the houses in a webinar (I will include a link at the end of this article).

This week’s headline items: Saturn’s Station phase ends on Monday and Jupiter’s ends on Tuesday; it’s time to take action on our New Moon intentions from Wednesday afternoon on, while later that night, Mercury aligns with the North Node in Gemini — and then changes signs from Gemini to Cancer the following afternoon; the first Quarter Moon in Virgo becomes exact on Friday late evening.
On May 22nd at 1:39pm EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 2 degrees of Gemini; this marks not only the beginning of a new Moon cycle, but also the beginning of Eclipse season, which lasts until July 20th. 
This week’s headline items: the Balsamic Moon phase begins on Monday around noon; the Sun changes signs from Taurus to Gemini on Wednesday late morning; the New Moon in Gemini becomes exact on Friday afternoon, starting Eclipse season — and, although the planet is continuing to move retrograde, Venus’s Station phase ends on Sunday.

Saturn comes to a halt, starting its yearly 4.5 month Retrograde phase early Monday, and Mercury changes signs from Taurus to Gemini that evening, while Jupiter’s station intensifies on Monday as well. Mars changes sign from Aquarius to Pisces Wednesday very early morning, while in the afternoon, Venus comes to a halt, starting her 6-week Retrograde phase. Late Thursday morning, we have the last Quarter Moon in Aquarius becoming exact and Jupiter coming to a halt, to begin its annual 4-month Retrograde phase. Although continuing retrograde, Pluto ends its Station phase on Sunday.
On May 5th, 2020 very early in the morning, at 12:49am EDT, the Moon Nodes switched from Cancer/Capricorn to Gemini/Sagittarius; they will remain in those signs until January 2022! The last time the Moon Nodes were in these particular signs was back in October, 2001 – April 2003.
