Cutting Ourselves Some Slack — Forecast for April 15th – 21st
This week’s headline items: this week sees lots of planetary movements — on Monday, Pluto’s Station phase intensifies, on Tuesday, Jupiter’s Station phase ends, and Mercury exits its Shadow phase. Very early Wednesday, Mercury changes signs from Pisces to Aries, while on Friday morning, another Full Moon in Libra becomes exact. Early Saturday, the Sun changes signs from Aries to Taurus, and that afternoon, Venus changes signs from Pisces to Aries.
There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday night (for almost 7 hours), Friday morning (for a brief 1.5 hours) and Saturday night/Sunday very early morning (for 12 hours).
Before we get to this week’s forecast, I have one quick announcement:

Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, April 15th:
Monday, the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo and VoC until 6:14am EDT; at that time, the Moon moves into into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Wednesday morning; turning our focus toward the practical and wholesome. We are generous with our time/services and we love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world — things and knowledge we can apply and use.
Health might come also into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals.
Monday evening, a challenging Venus/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 7:15pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last week, Saturday (April 13th) on; it will be strong until this Wednesday (April 17th). This aspect asks that we question our most fundamental beliefs and conditioning around money and relationships.
We have the opportunity here to grow beyond our understanding of what our values get us. Issues connected to love, relationships, and whatever is most valuable to us, can seem overwhelming at this time. This is because we have a tendency to overindulge or over-promise.
We mean well, because we are feeling quite optimistic at this time — but we may underestimate how much time we actually have, or how good a fit something actually is. Overspending, overindulging and over-promising could be connected to this aspect as well (as could making assumptions in our relationships); as best as you can, bring a non-judgmental awareness to any such tendencies.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 21-27 degrees of Pisces, Sagittarius, Gemini or Virgo,? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Sagittarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).
Also, on Monday, Pluto’s station phase intensifies until May 2nd. It will come to a halt on April 24th in almost 23 degrees of Capricorn (more on that next week). As I mentioned last week, when an outer planet stations, its energy gets more pronounced; this becomes even more pronounced when its Station phase intensifies.
We become even more aware of its impact on us — and this can sometimes cause discomfort. We are being asked to hang out with that discomfort until the planet’s energy has picked up speed again (around May 8th).
As best as you can, take a closer look at whatever is “in your face” for the next 3 weeks. Look for what might no longer be in alignment with your soul’s purpose (your deep, authentic, emotional Self) — especially in relation to long-term goals and your standing in society.
Ask yourself: Where am I holding on, out of fear? What habits, behaviors or fears are holding me back from feeling fully empowered from within? What would it look like, if I was fully aligned with my Soul-purpose? How would it feel? When we confront our fears, very often we discover…

When we confront our fears we very often discover hidden gifts and strengths.
Again, feel free to join us live on Friday for our Forecasting Form about the Pluto Station and Retrograde phases — in relationship to our own Birth charts…To register for this webinar, click here.
If you are a Star or SuperStar Member, look out for an email with a link to join live on the day of the webinar (April. 19th), or watch out for the link with the mp4-video presentation of the 90-minute webinar, within 24 hours of the live event!
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 21-25 degrees of Capricorn, Aries, Cancer or Libra? Do you have your Sun-sign or Rising-sign in Scorpio (Pluto rules Scorpio)? If so, you will feel this Station phase more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Scorpio (Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio).
Tuesday, April 16th:
Tuesday, the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Monday for details). Jupiter ends its Station phase and resumes its normal pace through the sky. We have a chance to do some internal work, over the next four months, on whatever came up around beliefs, attitudes and life-perspectives in the last two weeks.
Tuesday late morning, seek a balance between head and heart, facts and faith, reason and intuition. That said, if you can achieve that balance, it’s a great day for being of service.
Tuesday afternoon, we are more capable than normal of looking at the details, and focusing on what’s sitting right in front of us that demands to be taken care of, so we can get to the next phase of accomplishment. We are invited to look at all the practical implications; we need to slow down and take our time if we are to manifest something that can stand the test of time — rushing things will most likely backfire right now.
Tuesday evening, around 6pm EDT: as Mercury reaches 29.5º of Pisces, it exits its Shadow phase! Yay! Finally! We are ready to take in new information and move forward with anything that has been “on hold” since the Mercury retrograde of March 5th through the 28th.
Ask yourself: What in my life is calling out to be resolved? Where am I now able to clearly decide? Where do I still need some more information?
Tuesday evening, we can potentially accomplish quite a bit: The Moon in Virgo makes a harmonious aspect to Pluto in Capricorn. Virgo and Capricorn are Earth signs, so getting down to business and focusing on the task at hand takes less effort than normal. We are able to tackle anything that requires attention to detail and maybe even implement health routines or other systems that support our long-term goals.
Tuesday late evening, we are being asked to stretch and grow — to undertake a process of belief-adjustment. You may feel a little scatter-brained or all over the map. As best as you can, stay flexible — and don’t be too hard on yourself.
Tuesday night/ Wednesday very early morning, at 12:29am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for almost 7 hours, until 7:22am EDT Wednesday morning. if you are awake during this intuitive time, use it to make clear choices when it comes to relating to others. Do your best to discern what works for you, and what doesn’t, while also connecting and engaging with a compassionate heart.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Tuesday night until Wednesday morning ahead of time.
Wednesday, April 17th:
Wednesday, the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo and VoC until 7:22am EDT (see Monday morning and Tuesday night for details).
Wednesday very early morning, at 2:01am EDT, Mercury changes signs from dreamy, creative Pisces to enthusiastic, direct Aries. It will journey through this courageous sign, until May 6th. During this time, our thinking speeds up, and we are eager for new endeavors.
Given that we want to achieve our goals as quickly as possible, we may come off impulsive and impatient, and must therefore speak (and get answers) faster. Nothing stands in our way now: we are ready, we are brave, we want what we want and we want it now 😉
As you can perhaps imagine, we need to watch out for blurting things out prematurely or inappropriately; as best you can, choose your words carefully and pause before responding 😉
Remember, everyone else is feeling the Aries energy quite strongly too, so do your best to not take it personally if someone ignores what you want, or says something insensitive. Keep the focus on yourself instead — and take responsibility for how you are communicating or expressing yourself.
Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries? If so, you will feel especially chatty for the next 2.5 weeks. Your mental energy will be quite active and you feel the need to connect to others — whether it be in person, via email, over the phone or via social media. New ideas and new connections are very likely.
Wednesday at 7:22am EDT, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Friday late morning. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.
We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time, and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. These next two days are a great time for mediation — but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might like.
We may also be able see both sides of the equation so well that we can’t make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm — even if it’s “No” 😉 One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts. This Moon placement start the build up towards the Full Moon (exact Friday morning).
Wednesday late morning, calls for some inner adjustments, as we feel uneasy or awkward, and need to make a choice. Making this choice demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: on the one hand, we want to innovate in the area of our values (and maybe also have some financial breakthroughs); on the other hand, the feel the need to attend to our one-on-one relationships, supporting them (and perhaps collaborating).
Wednesday early afternoon, we become more aware that we need to find a balance between two very different energies — on the one hand, taking a compassionate approach towards our personal goals, while being assertive in the world — and on the other hand, our need to connect and collaborate with others. Ask yourself: what if taking a compassionate approach towards myself actually made for more fulfilling connections with others?
Thursday, April 18th:
Thursday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Wednesday morning for details).
Thursday very early morning: the day starts out harmoniously — if we are awake this early, we feel an urge to connect with others and share our projects.
Thursday early afternoon, we are invited to make some internal adjustments. We may want to connect with others, but may also need to tune in to our intuitive inner voice. What do you hear when you get really quiet?
Thursday late afternoon, we are invited to make some adjustments in our lives and find creative solutions to seemingly unsolvable situations. As best as you can, look for solid foundations under any long-term goals currently underway, and for ways to create win-win outcomes for one-on-one relationships.
Thursday mid-late evening, we may again need to make some adjustments and find creative ways to work with the energies at play: On the one hand we need to collaborate with others and play nice, on the other hand, we feel a deep desire to be authentic and truthful about what we want to build long-term.
Thursday late evening/night, we have an opportunity to connect with others for collaboration and an exploration of our beliefs about life. What does expansion of the mind look like? How might a wider view support our connections with others?
Thursday all day, and Friday before 4pm EDT is your last chance to sign up for Friday’s FORECASTING FORUM. Friday, April, 19th:
Friday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra until 8:41am EDT (see Wednesday morning for details).
Friday morning, at 7:12am EDT, the Full Moon in 29 degrees of Libra becomes exact. All Full Moons bring an opportunity for awareness and integration of the traits connected to the the Full Moon polarities, especially those that have been neglected or suppressed. Feel free to also watch my video on the subject.
The entrance of the Moon into Libra, on Wednesday morning, started the energetic build up towards this Full Moon; the Sun in Aries opposes the Moon in Libra. This is the second of two Full Moons in Libra within a 30-day period.
This doesn’t happen too often; the last time we had two consecutive Full Moons in the same sign was June of 2016, in Sagittarius-Gemini — the last time it happened in the sign of Libra-Aries was 57 years ago, in April 1962.
Two consecutive Moons in the same sign is particularly interesting because of the degree in which they becomes exact — it is usually an exalted degree — and the current Full Moon becomes exact in 29 degrees of Libra. This is an exalted degree because it is the last degree of the sign and it’s therefore the last chance for any transiting celestial body to express itself before changing signs.
This would indicate a strong urge to complete something, most likely something that started with the first Full Moon in 0º of Libra on March 20th — and therefore connected to relationships, a desire for balance and equality (including harmony in our environment and with ourselves).
With any Full Moon, we see things that we have not been aware of before, and we get a chance to make some changes if we don’t like what we see. Ask yourself: What’s been happening to me since March 20th, when it comes to others? What needs adjusting? What needs to simply change?
That said, we discussed the Aries-Libra polarity at length in the first Libra Full Moon video, posted in March (to hear about that polarity, click here: https://bit.ly/2IeDdz4) — so let’s focus now on the aspects connected to this month’s Full Moon chart, starting with two Uranus aspects:
First: Uranus, in an early degree of Taurus, and aligns with the Sun, which is in the last degree of Aries, and therefore also opposes the Moon. Uranus symbolizes the desire for… to read the whole Full Moon article and get all the Coaching questions, click here
Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 27-29 degrees of Aries, Libra, Capricorn, Cancer or 0-1 degrees of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius? If so, you may feel the effects of this Full Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
Also, Friday at 7:12am EDT, we enter a brief Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for 1.5 hours, until 8:41am EDT. Use this intuitive time to balance your need for collaboration with your desire for Self-fulfillment.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Friday morning ahead of time.
Friday at 8:41am EDT, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Sunday early afternoon. We feel things deeply and have “X-Ray Vision” and “Bullshit-Smelling Abilities” 😉
Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us at this time; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as flat-out dishonest. Once we feel safe trusting someone, we want to merge with them, preferably forever… as long as our trust is never betrayed.
The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. This occurs by a process of subtraction — it urges us to let go of whatever disempowers us. It’s therefore an excellent time to look at “old” fears, limiting habits or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.
Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity — it’s “in or out”, “with us or against us”, “love me or leave me”. It can therefore be stormy — a cold winter storm, or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we “work” the energies 🙂
Manipulation and paranoia are the lower vibrations of this aspect, so as best you can, be straightforward — act in good faith and assume it in others. Best of all, be truly present to the fluctuations of your feelings — no matter if they’re “polite” or “timely”. Feelings aren’t facts, but they are information — and heeding them will help you embrace all of who you are.
Know thyself — and love thyself — you shall be set free. Remember: Love connects us to the Power within; Fear causes “Force” to show up — and that’s ultimately what disempowers us and others.
Friday before 4pm EDT is the very last chance to sign up for today’s FORECASTING FORUM. Friday evening, a Mercury/Chiron alignment in almost 3.5 degrees of Aries becomes exact at 7:47pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from this Tuesday evening; it will be strong until next week, Monday morning (April 22nd). This allows us to communicate our flaws and insecurities, and thereby begin to heal them.
Bringing compassion to our past wounds can feel empowering and healing; doing the same for others is going to feel really good. Remember: what you can do for yourself, you can do for others more easily, and vice versa.
As best as you can, whatever you do or don’t communicate: cut yourself a little slack. Be open to bringing love and understanding to your communications. especially when you are feeling triggered. Being human means being “imperfect”; there is no shame in that — it is our so-called imperfections that open hearts (our own and other people’s), that create and spread compassion.
Ask yourself: Could I give myself 5% more permission to be “imperfect”? Could I love myself because of those so-called imperfections?
Double-check: Does blaming or judging myself or others for being “imperfect” actually serve me? Does it actually serve anyone at all? Could I therefore be open to the possibility that my “imperfections” — whether physical, mental, emotional or spiritual — exist to serve not only my personal evolution, but also that of humanity? If that were true, what would else would need reevaluating?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 0-7 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn? If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Virgo or Gemini (since Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo).
Saturday, April 20th:
Saturday, the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Friday morning for details).
Saturday at 4:55am EDT, the Sun changes signs from adventurous, speedy Aries to peaceful, steady Taurus, where it will journey until May 21st. For the next four weeks, our attention is on physical pleasures; we are more aware of our need for comfort and consistency — the Sun in Taurus reminds us to slow down and smell the roses.
We are able to be very consistent and methodical, which helps us take a grounded and realistic approach to our new goals — and we focus on what is most important to us. What do you value most? How do you feel about yourself and what you bring to the table?
All this is especially true if you are a Leo or Taurus Sun-sign or Rising-sign. As a Taurus, you will feel a good dose of confidence and playfulness in the next four weeks; as a Leo, your vitality will most likely slow down and you might indulge in physical or material pleasures.
Saturday at 12:11pm EDT, Venus changes signs from intuitive, creative, dreamy Pisces to fast-paced, enthusiastic, active Aries, where it will journey until May 15th.
Until May 15th, we are going to feel passionate about connecting to others. We are ready to make a new start: if you are single, this could be a great chance to start something new (all things being equal 😉 With Venus in Aries, spontaneity and independence are important to us. You’re not the only one who likes a challenge, so don’t make it too easy for others to win you over 😉
If you are already in a committed relationship, you get a wonderful chance to bring freshness and excitement to your bedroom and “other parts of the house” 😉 We also have more energy than usual; we are more likely to want to get out of the house, and be active with others.
All this is especially true if you are a Taurus, Libra or Aries Sun-sign or Rising-sign. As an Aries, beauty and love will enter your life during this time, you will feel more attractive and you will attract things to you. As a Taurus or Libra, you will feel more energized, passionate and more direct than usual.
Sunday, April 21st:
Sunday, the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio until 11:59am EDT (see Friday morning for details).
Saturday night/Sunday very early morning, at 12am, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for 12 hours, until 12pm EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to focus on inner processes. As best as you can, release any fears or traumas that keep you stuck in the past, and deepen your connection to what you feel deeply passionate about, out there in the world.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Saturday night until Sunday early afternoon ahead of time.
Sunday at 11:59am EDT, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, where it will journey until next week, Tuesday evening (April 23rd). We’re strongly motivated to explore and learn. We’re not likely to be big fans of routine — diversity and new adventures work best at this time — we’re also physically restless and need to burn that off with activity and physical exercise.
We tend to feel more open, optimistic and inspired — but we also have a high degree of independence, which means we’d rather inspire others to do things our way, than take orders. Inspiring others could come easier than normal, as we can see the bigger picture, leaving us confident that others will agree with us, once they see what we see.
As best as you can, speak your truth without assuming that everyone is on the same page as you. Improvisation works well for us at this time, as we are spontaneous and love living on the edge — just watch out you aren’t overdoing or overstating things.
Sunday afternoon, we might find ourselves wanting to connect with others, so we can share our enthusiasm and passion for life with them. We prefer an actionable and direct approach right now.
Sunday in the later afternoon, we experience a need for inner adjustments. We feel uneasy or awkward and need to make a choice. Making this choice demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: on the one hand, the desire to mentally explore and go beyond what we already know — and on the other hand, the need for breakthroughs or change connected to the physical plane. We need to ask ourselves here: What might become possible if I got 5% more comfortable with being uncomfortable? Or 5% more comfortable embracing uncertainty?
Sunday early evening, we might find ourselves wanting to explore a new healing modality for body, mind, and heart, aimed at a renewing our enthusiasm for life. We are capable of being compassionate and forgiving with ourselves at this time — and a gentle and holistic approach is best.
Sunday late evening, things flow nicely; we feel excited about new adventures. We want to connect, explore, communicate, share something new; we may feel impulsive or impatient — but we share from an enthusiastic place.
And…
A heads up for next Monday (April 22nd): the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Sunday, April 21st for details). In the afternoon, the Moon in Sagittarius opposes Mars in Gemini, exact at 2:35pm EDT. In the evening, a Sun/Uranus alignment in 2.5 degrees of Taurus becomes exact at 7:07pm EDT; we started to feel this aspect build from this April 20th on; it will be strong until April 25th. Also, in the evening, the Moon in Sagittarius squares Uranus in Pisces, exact at 8:03pm EDT. More about the details in next week’s forecast 🙂
