When is enough, enough?
This week’s headline items: very early Monday, Jupiter comes to a halt, ending its 4-month Retrograde phase — and Mercury follows suit later that morning. Saturn ends its Station phase on Tuesday and Pluto does likewise on Thursday. The Full Moon in Aries becomes exact Wednesday morning. On Saturday, the Sun changes signs from Libra to Scorpio, and Mercury ends its Station phase; Jupiter also ends its Station phase, on Sunday.
There will only be two Moon VoC phases this week: Wednesday late morning (for 5 hours); and Friday late afternoon (for 11.5 hours).
Before we get to this week’s forecast, I’d like to make an announcement:

Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, October 18th:
Monday is a big day (astrologically speaking). The Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces and VoC until 6:04am EDT.
Monday very early morning, at 1:30am EDT, Jupiter comes to a halt at 22º of Aquarius, and slowly starts to move direct again, after a 4-month Retrograde phase; Jupiter’s energy will be felt most strongly at this time.
We already talked about this, in great detail, in last week’s blog. If you are currently a Member, click here and scroll down to Sunday (Oct. 17th) to read the whole post about Jupiter coming to a halt, or look for your Daily Forecast email for Sunday, Oct. 17th.
Those of us who have any of our personal planets (or our Ascendant) in 20-24 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, or Scorpio will be more affected by this Jupiter station. This is also true for those of us with their Ascendant or Sun-sign in Sagittarius (Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius, so those folks will always be affected more strongly by Jupiter’s movements and aspects).
Monday at 6:04am EDT, the Moon moves into pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Wednesday afternoon. Life is an adventure, we’re more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately.
Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body’s excess energy.
This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the Full Moon, exact on Wednesday late morning.
Monday late morning, at 11:17am EDT, Mercury comes to a halt in 10 degrees of Libra and slowly starts its direct motion, after its 3-week Retrograde phase. As best as you can, go with the flow, keep an open mind and pay attention to anything that is in your face right now — you may need to address those issues again, when Mercury moves through its post-Shadow phase…more on that in a moment…
We are slowly ready to shift our focus back towards the outer world again, taking in new information and sharing from a new perspective.
Ask yourself: What did I learn about my inner dialog, and the relationship between my inner feminine & masculine energies, over the past 3 weeks? How might I share my findings in a healthy way with others? What needs to be addressed with regards to one-on-one relationships, fairness, a balanced approach, or collaborations?
When Mercury gets back to its regular speed (by Oct. 23rd), communication and transportation will get back to normal; the same is true of any associated gadgets, vehicles, etc.
Feel free to also watch my chat with Lia about the Mercury Retrograde phase in Libra. We connected last week and chatted about how this has been impacting us, and about the value of a Retrograde phase…
Some of us will feel the effects of the Mercury station more than others: those of us who have Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant); and those of us with personal planets in 8-12 degrees of Libra, Aries, Cancer or Capricorn.
Monday after 11:17am EDT, Mercury’s post-Shadow phase begins — lasting until Nov. 2nd…. as you may recall, I mentioned Mercury Shadow phases in this update a few weeks back: If you want to buy, sell or ship big-ticket items, it’s best to avoid the periods shortly before Mercury goes retrograde, and after it goes direct.
This is especially true if the items are connected to technology, transportation (cars, plane tickets, etc.), or communication (phone, computer, iPad, etc.) Click here to read my blog on the subject.
Monday late evening, a harmonious Mars/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 10:36pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Thursday evening (Oct. 14th) on; and it will remain strong until next week, Saturday evening (Oct. 23rd). This aspect brings optimism, enthusiasm, and expansion to our personal goals, creative projects, and explorations.
It’s a good time for bold, decisive action, that leads very directly to success in our various projects — especially those with one-on-one collaborations, equal relationships, win-win situations, or that require a just or fair outcome.
Our positive attitude helps us to take risks that get us unstuck, and we have the vigor to blast through challenges; use this aspect to tackle anything that seemed impossible in the past 😉
Ask yourself: Where am I pining for a greater connection with others? What might be possible if I kept inspiring others? Or kept being the change I want to see in the world?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 19-26 degrees of Libra, Aquarius, or Gemini? Do you have an Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Sagittarius? If so, you will be …

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 19-26 degrees of Libra, Aquarius, or Gemini? If so, you will be especially blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Sagittarius (Mars is the ruler of Aries, Jupiter of Sagittarius).

Tuesday evening, a somewhat challenging Venus/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 7:15pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Monday evening on; it will remain strong until Wednesday evening. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward — and we need to make a choice… so we need to develop inner awareness.
Learning to let go of the past means being willing to release relationships we have outgrown. Learning ways to abruptly alter our circumstances without emotional turmoil: This is the way Uranus’s energy urges us to grow. We need freedom “within” our relationships, not “from” them.
It’s also time to reevaluate the ways we’ve imprisoned ourselves in protective behaviors and then rebel against them. While “Different” is not always “improved”, change is essential to our evolutionary process.
Ask yourself: Am I feeling particularly uncomfortable with my beliefs at this time? How about with other people’s beliefs? Am I feeling particularly impatient? Do I have certain preferences or perspectives that others are unable to align with? Do I have expectations or attitudes about this? What needs to shift internally, so I can stay open and aligned with my unique talents, values, and preferences?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 12-15 degrees of Sagittarius or Taurus? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra, or Aquarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Uranus rules Aquarius).
Also, on Tuesday, Saturn resumes its normal pace through the sky, ending its station. Over the last five months – since May 23rd – we’ve done a lot of internal work on our life structures, responsibilities, and commitments, we now have a chance to apply this to the outside world.
What has come up in the last two weeks around any commitments to like-minded people or communities? Or around building long-term connections? How truthful am I with myself about who I want to be affiliated with (both online and off)?
Over the last 5 months, did I go over any social structures and connections, to see if they align with my inner truth? What solutions did I find that work well with both my inner truth and outer reality? Now is a good time to move things forward.
Wednesday, Oct. 20th:
Wednesday, the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries until 3:59pm EDT (see Monday morning for details).
Wednesday, at 10:57am EDT, the Sun opposes the Moon in 27.5 degrees of Aries — the Moon’s entry into Aries on Monday morning, started the build-up towards this Full Moon. The Moon in pioneering, fast-paced Aries makes an opposition to the Sun in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra.
Generally, a Full Moon brings our attention to our “emotional body”, increasing our awareness of what has been suppressed or ignored. This is especially true for this particular Full Moon — for much of this month, we are invited to direct our attention toward deeper self-care and more authentic connections to our emotional bodies. If you are a site Member, you may also want to watch my video on the subject.
We also have three exalted planets in this Full Moon chart: Pluto, Jupiter & Mercury. All three of them ended their various Retrograde phases just recently, and are still moving quite slowly trying to get up to their “regular” speed — so we can feel their energies stronger than usual.
The Aries/Libra polarity directs our awareness to the roles we identify with, within our various one-on-one relationships — and this Full Moon is thus a call to take action on those roles.
In particular, it brings the focus to “independence”, so ask yourself: Where do I need to be more assertive? More accommodating? Less? Where have I been too independent? Too dependent? What roles or contracts need to be revisited? Or perhaps simply accepted for what they are?
This also involves the balance of feminine and masculine energies within ourselves, our relationships, and our world. Ask: Where have these energies gone out of balance? What happens when there is too much masculine? Too much feminine?
The higher vibrations of Aries include courage and strength, openness towards the new, directness, assertiveness, and a healthy sense of identity.
The higher vibrations of Libra include the ability to collaborate and connect on an equal footing and achieve balanced or fair outcomes — also our capacity for objectivity, dialogue, diplomacy, cooperation, and composure.
Every Full Moon illuminates the shadow side of each sign as well. The “denser/lower” vibrations of Aries can be… To read the whole Full Moon article, and get all the Coaching questions, click here.
Do you have an Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 26-29 degrees of Aries, Libra, Cancer, Capricorn, or 0 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo, or Aquarius? If so, you are more affected by this Full Moon. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
Also, Wednesday late morning, at 10:57am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for 5 hours, until 3:59pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to examine your various one-on-one relationships — ask yourself: How can I balance my need for self-fulfillment and independence with my desire to connect and collaborate in a harmonious way?
Do your best to find a balance between those two poles: What might be possible if you could integrate one with the other?
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to pre-plan Wednesday between late morning and late afternoon.
Wednesday, at 3:59pm EDT, the Moon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will journey until Saturday early morning. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well.
In other words: change is not our favorite thing and “rushing things” goes against our grain. What is our favorite thing for the next 3 days? It’s probably slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses 😉
Thursday, Oct. 21st:
Thursday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Wednesday afternoon for details).
Thursday all day and Friday until 1pm EDT, is your last chance to register for the Forecasting Forum, live tomorrow, Friday at 2pm EDT/7pm London-time. Registration includes access to the mp4-video recording of the live event!

(Star Members will receive an email today – Oct. 21st – in the afternoon, and tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 22nd, an hour before the live event begins, with the link to join live).
Thursday early morning, on the one hand, we need to experience peace and physical pleasure; on the other, we need to take some time to focus on our future visions and see what’s realistic for us. We may need to make some adjustments between these two needs that are seemingly at odds. (Moon in Taurus squares Saturn in Aquarius, exact at 5:45am EDT)
Thursday evening, we are asked to connect with people with similar values who can provide practical support for our visions, and to share with them what is important to us (Moon in Taurus conjuncts Uranus in Taurus, exact at 6:28pm EDT)
Also, on Thursday, Pluto resumes its normal pace through the sky, ending its station today. What has come up in the last 6 months around long-term goals? How empowered or disempowered do you feel about them?
Now is a good time to move forward. Empower yourself and others, keep your heart wide open, tap into your inner strength and passion for your projects and long-term goals. Ask yourself: What if fear was not present? What would I do then?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 22-26 degrees of Capricorn, Aries, Cancer, or Libra? If so, you would have felt this station more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Scorpio (Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio).
Friday, Oct. 22nd:
Friday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Wednesday afternoon for details).

Friday very early morning, a challenging Mars/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 12:20am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Sunday evening (Oct.17th) on; and it will remain strong until next week, Tuesday evening (Oct. 26th). Our ambition and drive to succeed are incredibly strong now; we feel prepared to go to any lengths, in order to achieve our goals — and we have the required energy. It’s a real need to achieve, a compulsion even — we often find it difficult to stop.
This aspect could also lead to power struggles, perhaps with an authority figure, perhaps within ourselves. Problem is, “push” could come to “shove” — and once in a shoving match, with Mars and Pluto involved, we may not know when enough is enough.
Do your best to tap into the power of the love within. Find creative ways to empower yourself and others by coming from love rather than fear — after all, at this moment (if you stay out of memory and away from concepts and imaginary futures), aren’t you actually ok?
Flexibility is key — and walking away for 10 minutes might just save you from doing something you later regret — and also perhaps from burning out 😉
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 21-28 degrees of Libra, Capricorn, Aries, or Cancer? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Scorpio (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Pluto rules Scorpio).
Friday late afternoon, at 4:35pm EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for 11.5 hours, until 3:57am EDT (Saturday early morning – Oct. 23rd). Use this intuitive time to empower each other in regards to earthly issues and mutually support each other in practical ways.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Friday late afternoon until Saturday very early morning ahead of time.
Saturday, Oct. 23rd:
Saturday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus and VoC until 3:57am EDT (see Wednesday afternoon for details).
Friday night/Saturday very early morning, at 12:51am EDT, the Sun changes signs from harmony-seeking Libra to passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Nov. 21st. The guiding principle of Scorpio is “I desire”. With the Sun in Scorpio, our consciousness is drawn towards depth, intimacy, and extremes of feeling.
Superficiality simply will not do for the next 30 days. We have the desire to get to the bottom of what matters. We are more interested in that which is hidden, taboo, secret, or suppressed. Scorpio’s energy is passionate, strong-willed, and intense. Used in its highest vibration, it can be an immensely healing and transformative energy.
On a lower vibration, Scorpio can express jealousy, vindictiveness, and use manipulative tactics. Bring your awareness towards your feelings, fears, and behaviors. As best as you can, embrace all your feelings, let go of your fears, and strip yourself of behaviors that no longer serve you.
All this is especially true if you are a Leo or Scorpio Sun-sign or Rising-sign. As a Scorpio, you will feel a good dose of confidence and playfulness in the next four weeks; as a Leo, you are more aware of your own shadow parts… anything that you have suppressed or denied about yourself.
Saturday early morning, at 3:57am EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until next week, Monday (Oct. 25th). For the next 2.5 days, we like to learn, connect and interact as much as possible. “Busy” feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way…
The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead 🙂
Also, on Saturday, Mercury resumes its normal pace through the sky, ending its station. Communication and transportation are now back to “normal” as are any associated gadgets, vehicles, etc. New ideas and information received during the Mercury Retrograde phase (Sept. 27th – Oct. 18th) can now be reviewed.
What did you discover about your inner dialogue around the following: Inner and outer balance? Relationships? Equal exchanges? Justice? Fairness? One-on-one collaborations?
Sunday, Oct. 24th:
Sunday, the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini all day (see Saturday very early morning for details).
Sunday early afternoon, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 1:45pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Saturday early afternoon on; and it will remain strong until next week, Monday early afternoon (Oct. 25th). This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward — and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed if we’re to see what needs adjusting.
It could be hard to make decisions under this influence, as we tend to doubt our perceptions or our problem-solving ability. It may also be hard to read the intention behind the words used to communicate, leading to misunderstandings: we tend to feel uncomfortable — a sort of “inner itchiness”.
As best you can, give yourself time to respond rather than react — allow your breath to ground you — and be as flexible as possible without compromising your values.
Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 12-14 degrees of Libra or Taurus? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo, or Aquarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Uranus rules Aquarius).
Also, on Sunday, Jupiter ends its station and resumes its normal pace through the sky. Over the last four months, we’ve done a lot of internal work on our beliefs and perspectives on life, especially in connection with social interactions, like-minded people, and our various communities (locally or online). We now have a chance to bring these new perspectives to bear on the outside world.
And…
A heads up for next Monday (Oct. 25th): the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini until 5pm EDT. In the late morning, at 10:11am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for almost 7 hours until 5pm EDT; at which time, the Moon moves into protective, nurturing Cancer, where it will journey until next week, Thursday early morning. More about all the details in next week’s forecast : )
