Before we get started, I would like to make an important announcement: Everyone who is currently a Star or SuperStar Member of my online community, please make sure to watch the coming Forecasting Forum, live on Jan. 12th at 11:30am EST, or via the video recording. I will be making some very important changes to my Star and SuperStar Memberships, and I want you all to know about them, so you are informed how to best take advantage of your Membership in 2020.
On Jan. 10th at 2:21pm EST, the Moon opposes the Sun (in 20 degree of Cancer-Capricorn) — this is a Lunar Eclipse becoming exact. This powerful Full Moon is actually the second of two Eclipses in a row; the first one was the Solar Eclipse in Capricorn on Dec. 25/26th.
Eclipses are always powerfully connected to the Moon Nodes and thus to our Soul’s Journey. Relationships of all kinds are highlighted during this time — but with this powerful Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse, there is a particularly strong emphasis on family- and business-relationships. If you’d like to learn more, and as a Member of my online community, click here to watch my Lunar Eclipse video.
Lots of planets are involved in this powerful Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse chart — Mercury, Saturn, Pluto, Uranus and Neptune — and all play an important role, so buckle up! More about the specifics in regards to all of these planets in a moment….
This Full Moon is also the first Lunar Eclipse in Cancer since the Moon Nodes moved into Cancer/Capricorn in late 2018. This puts an emphasis on taking a nurturing approach towards ourselves and the collective. With Eclipses this is a longer term process — in this case, a process that will last until November 2020.
Let’s take a look at the polarities involved here: The Moon in protective, feeling-oriented Cancer opposes the Sun in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn. We have a heightened sense that something must be brought into balance and reintegrated; the balance in question is between the experience of our feelings and emotional needs (symbolized by Cancer), versus our outer obligations or material, practical goals (Capricorn).
It’s important to realize that we all have limitations and challenges in life — and when we approach those in a nurturing way, taking care of our feeling body, our inner baby, and allow ourselves to receive support from “family connections”, we are more likely to overcome those challenges and be realistic about our and other people’s limitations.
Ask yourself: How am I balancing the demands of my outer and inner life? Home life vs. career? Where am I able to be mature and self-reliant — and also contribute? Where am I giving too much? Not enough?
Any Full Moon also has us look more closely at the denser vibrations or shadow components of the energies involved. With Cancer, this is our ability to receive and feel safe from within, but what protected us in the past may no longer work — our needs may have changed over time.
Ask yourself: When do I have the tendency to hold on to the past? Where am I holding on simply because it is familiar? When do I resist change? What happens when I don’t allow myself to feel my feelings? When do I react to life vs. respond?
This brings me to mention a webinar I have available for purchase on my website right now: It’s called React vs. Respond — Where in the chart can we learn about our emotional maturity? If you haven’t seen it yet, definitely take a look at it… click here for more info!
Also, this 60min. webinar is yours for FREE between now and Jan. 31st, if you upgrade your Membership to Star-level during this time (so before Jan. 31st): again, click here for more info!
With Capricorn, we need to take a look at those parts of ourselves that are domineering, rigid, unforgiving, self-servingly ambitious, status-seeking, and hierarchical. As best as you can, be really honest with yourself, and ask: How important is…

Again, any Full Moon also has us look more closely at the denser vibrations or shadow components of the energies involved. With Capricorn, we need to take a look at those parts of ourselves that are domineering, rigid, unforgiving, self-servingly ambitious, status-seeking, and hierarchical.
As best as you can, be really honest with yourself, and ask: How important is status, control or winning to me? What is my relationship to “control”? Where do I try to control life? Other people? Where do I control myself by suppressing my needs or feelings? Is it at least possible that a slower step-by-step approach might improve my ability to be present to what’s needed in the moment?
In order to develop a healthy inner Capricorn, we must learn to listen to our feelings and honor our needs, rather than disregarding them. Only then can we build something of value and move towards mastery.
Ask yourself these questions (and as best as you can, be really honest with yourself): Where might I be taking too little responsibility? Where might I be taking too much? When do I blame? Shame? Feel guilty? Where do I tend to get defensive? If I had better boundaries, where would I have established them?
Where and when do I tend to look for permission outside of myself? Where have I abdicated my authority — or projected it onto others?
Cancer and Capricorn are both receptive “yin” energies, so clearly we are asked to go within before doing anything. Cancer says we must recognize our own needs in order to feel internally stable — if we don’t manage this, we’ll give our power away to others, becoming victims, sacrificing ourselves for our family, job, etc.
Capricorn seeks to develop an internalized sense of authority and responsibility. This Eclipse is thus asking us to look closely at how we balance taking care of ourselves (Cancer), versus how we want to contribute to the world at large (Capricorn) — in other words, where we have reached our limit, and where we need to set some priorities.
Capricorn teaches us to honor all aspects of the physical world; it also urges us to create and build something of long-term use to everyone — Cancer, on the other hand, represents the formation of the emotional body and an understanding of our feelings and needs; this helps us navigate life by building an awareness of what is healthy or harmful to us.
In order to emerge as healthy beings, we need to be able to nurture ourselves and others, in part by taking care of our feelings and our “inner baby” (Cancer), while also evolving into responsible adults, able to provide for ourselves and others (Capricorn).
Let’s take a look at some other aspects of this Lunar Eclipse chart, starting with the most exact ones: The Moon, (ruler of Cancer), currently in its own sign, opposes not only the Sun in Capricorn, but also Mercury, Saturn (ruler of Capricorn) and Pluto, all of which are right next to each other forming a Stellium in Capricorn.
The Stellium in Capricorn asks us to step into our power and mature to the point where we no longer need to look outside of ourselves for approval or validation — to become the master of our own lives.
We also discussed this Stellium in Capricorn in our last Forecasting Forum, as a matter of fact, we took a look at the whole of 2020 — a preview so to speak — feel free to purchase this webinar now: click here. (Star and SuperStar Members, check your email for the mp4-video presentation. I sent it out on Dec. 17th 😉 You can also watch a 15-min. Teaser of this webinar first: click here to do so.
This opposition to the Stellium highlights the importance of a healthy relationship to the “mother” archetype. Cancer seeks to create a sense of home and family, the experience of nourishing bonds, and surroundings that support our growth.
Questions you can ask yourself: What do I need to feel safe in the world? What if self-care led to self-alignment? What if the same were true of nurturing my feeling body? What nurtures me?
What might I be able to accomplish out there in the world if I felt nurtured and aligned with my feelings? Given those possibilities, might it be worth spending 5% more time and energy on self-care, just as an experiment?
When we understand the Cancer energy fully, we have learned about self-care and receiving — not just giving, or helping others — while with Capricorn, we eventually learn about giving back, not just accomplishing for personal gain or reaching a higher status.
Ask yourself: Where might the balance lie between nurturing and self-care, versus achieving my goals? Are those things really in conflict? Am I doing what I want to do, or what I think I “should” do?
Am I more connected to what nurtures me — or to my “shoulds”? Does my current environment/home support my inner & outer growth? Does it provide me with nourishing bonds to others? How does this affect my contribution to the world, or my standing in society?
And of course, as always when Cancer and Capricorn are involved: take baby-steps (or if you prefer, “take it one day at a time” 😉 Ask yourself: Why would I sprint if I walking got me there at the perfect time?
Check to see where any urge toward rushing or “getting there” comes from — is that coming from a place of fear or love?
The Moon also trines Neptune in Pisces, which makes for a go-with-the-flow kind of atmosphere — everything just seems to flow beautifully. Expect lots of mushy feelings and intuitive knowingness — we have the ability to connect with others compassionately and empathetically — we are also likely being more forgiving with ourselves and others.
Ask yourself: How might more trust and empathy help my connection to my feeling body? What might be possible for me if I allowed for things to unfold? What if I allowed myself to see the perfection in my feelings right here, right now?
This also shows us our ability to allow for feelings to move through, and supports us further in bringing love and acceptance to our feeling body. It also helps us to release any unhealthy attachments to the past, making it easier to trust, and allowing us to stretch outside of our comfort zone and invite in “the new”.
We also might be able to receive new support from others; so ask yourself: What if I let myself receive 5% more kindness from others? How about from myself?
Lastly, we must talk about Uranus in Taurus! Uranus is exalted in this Eclipse chart, as it is getting ready to end its 5-month Retrograde phase, only 6.5 hours after the Eclipse becomes exact. We’ve had 5 months to re-evaluate certain things — we’ve reflected on our vision for the future, and where the obstacles to that vision might lie.
We are now ready to take into the world all that we have learned and make some progress. Uranus is the archetype of revolutionary change, daring us to think way, way outside of the box.
We may find that we disagree with other people’s values. We may be restless, even anxious, and therefore feel pressure to act (or react) regarding others — these feelings could also be connected to financial decisions or partnerships.
If you experience fear or uncertainty in any of your financial or intimate partnerships, focus on whatever you could really get excited about and get behind in a realistic, grounded way — something that could make a difference, something meaningful.
If you get entangled in controversy, ask yourself: How open-minded and flexible could I allow myself to be right now? What might be some alternative tools that I could employ, that might allow for greater freedom or diversity in my life (financially or otherwise)?
Uranus in Taurus is also still a mutual reception with Venus in Aquarius, as it was two weeks ago — this means that they are in each other signs and support each other’s agenda. This provides an opportunity to bring a common vision and a more human approach to our interactions with others.
To sum it all up: Honor your feelings and needs so you can build something of value and share the fruits of your labor with the world. As best as you can, be kind and gentle, compassionate, and accepting of yourself — this will help balance the Cancer/Capricorn polarities.
Ask yourself: What if I trusted the timing of things 5% more? What if I brought 5% more compassion and love to every moment while working towards my achievement? Could I do that just by checking in with my physical and emotional needs from time to time? What might result from closing my eyes for a minute or two, now and then, to take a moment with myself, to tune in and center myself?
During these next 5 months, self-care definitely deserves our attention… Make sure you get plenty of rest, affection, water, and healthy nutritious foods 😉
And of course, between now and Jan. 24th, we are still on Eclipse Season, so allow for the new templates to download; stay centered and do your best to ground from within — try using conscious breathing and conscious flexibility — and best of all, see if you can move to the “observer position” when it comes to the emotional, physical and mental body… pay attention to when you are pushing things, or doing things to run away from your own anxiousness… allow whatever feels organic to unfold, end, or move forward.
And remember: this won’t last forever — in another two weeks, the downloads are complete 😉 As a reminder, feel free to also watch my Lunar Eclipse video

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 15-25 degrees of Cancer, Capricorn, Aries, or Libra? If so, you are more affected by this month’s Full Moon. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Frustrating format at times because the articles will be interrupted with a link to log into my account in order to get the rest of the reading – when I am already logged into my account. I haven’t been able to finish the full moon reading because everytime I am asked to click on a link the leads me in circles never bringing me back to the fully loaded article. All while I’m logged into my account.
