A Heart-Centered & Sustainable Outcome

This week’s headline items: Venus will remain stationed all week, while Mercury re-starts its own station again on Monday and ends it on Sunday (it goes direct at that point, ending its 3-week Retrograde, and begins its post-Shadow phase late on Thursday evening). The New Moon in Aquarius becomes exact on Monday night/Tuesday very early morning; on Saturday, it is time to start acting on our New Moon intentions.

There will be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday early morning until 4:43am EST; Tuesday morning (for 24 hours); Friday very early morning (for a little over 5 hours); and Sunday early afternoon (for 5.5 hours).

Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, January 31st:

Monday, the Moon remains in ambitious, goal-oriented Capricorn and VoC until 4:43am EST. At that time, the Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Wednesday morning. The energy of the Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional and interactions more impersonal than personal. We are likely to have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.

Social gatherings, anything connected with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas and methods, progress: all these are promoted during the time the Moon moves through Aquarius. Again: we have our eyes on the future — or on outer space 🙂 Personal freedom becomes paramount.

Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius — and this planet is currently moving through Taurus, making these next two days a great time to take a look at our physical connection both to our own body and our finances — and to what is most important to us on this planet.

It’s also a great time to innovate and make changes in our lives around any physical matters that no longer serve us, or that keep us stuck in the past; we need to elevate our thinking if we want our bodies and the planet to vibrate at a higher frequency.

Ask yourself: Do I need to give my body something different to raise it to a higher vibration? When I tune in to myself, what insights does my body provide?

Where in my life have I become too rigid in connection with my body, my physical resources, or my talents? Where have I become too comfortable with those things? What is my connection to the Earth? To Nature? Do I need more physical space? More physical movement?

Also on Monday, Mercury starts to slow down again (“stationing”). It’s getting ready to come to a halt, ending its 3-week Retrograde phase, on Thursday late evening (more on that later this week…).

For the next 6 days (until Feb. 6th), we need to be patient with ourselves and others — especially if there is a connection with communication or transportation and their associated technologies. As best as you can, give yourself and others a lot of space!

This is not the best time to start anything brand-new, especially if it contains new information that needs to be processed.

We might experience delays or misunderstandings, and things tend to feel “off” or stagnant. It might be a good idea to give yourself some extra time to get ready for travel somewhere — especially if you intend to use public transportation or drive (for more details on Mercury Shadow Phases and Retrogrades, click here)

Tuesday, February 1st:

Tuesday, the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day (see Monday early morning for details).

Monday night/Tuesday very early morning, at 12:46am EST, the New Moon in almost 12.5 degrees of Aquarius becomes exact; this is the beginning of a new Moon cycle.  I also recommend you watch my video on the subject.

This Lunar cycle invites us to go out there and connect (or re-connect) with “our people” – with a tribe that resonates, a cause that feels aligned with our principles and our integrity, a connection that serves a larger vision for the future, etc.

This New Moon is unique in that it takes place on the same day as Chinese New Year and marks the beginning of the Year of the Yang Water Tiger, emphasizing the importance of caution, growth, development, challenge, creation, and planning. Ask yourself: Where am I ready for a new plan? Where do I need to still implement some changes in order to move forward?

The Tiger in Chinese Astrology represents power, prestige, and autonomy. Yang-Water is connected to flowing water, like a river, or the clouds in the sky. So you could say: when we allow the flow to guide us (in other words, when we trust our intuition), we grow stronger and can achieve more.

According to Chinese Astrology, 2022 is a great year to start a business or career goal: We are full of energy to take on a challenge and set off on an adventure.

Coming back to Western, Tropical Astrology, we have two exalted planets in this New Moon chart: Mercury (the planet of communication & how we process information) and Venus (the planet of self-worth & how we relate to others). Both of them are currently in Capricorn, and are thus asking us to be extra-mindful about connecting to a healthy sense of responsibility and self-reliance.

Mercury comes to a halt — ending its 3-week Retrograde phase — only 2.5 days after the New Moon becomes exact (on Feb. 3rd in the late evening), while Venus ends her 6-week Retrograde phase only 3 days before the New Moon becomes exact on Jan. 29th, at 3:36am EST.

When a planet changes directions, its energy will be “louder” for some days before and after that shift. Venus has been “louder” since Jan. 23rd and will continue to ask for our attention until Feb. 4th. Mercury will be exalted until Feb. 6th.

When planets end Retrograde phases, they are ready to move forward and bring to the world whatever material they have learned and integrated during the Retrograde. Ask yourself… To read the whole article and get all the Coaching Questions for this month’s New Moon, click here.

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 10-15 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, or Scorpio? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle. This is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact — and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.

That means that this month, the best time to set intentions would be any time between 12:46am and 6:01am on Tuesday morning, (Feb. 1st), and then again, from 6am Wednesday morning (Feb. 2nd) until 12:46am Thursday very early morning (Feb. 3rd) (New York Time/US Eastern Time)

If you live in a time zone other than EST (US East Coast), and converting time zones isn’t your thing, I suggest joining my Facebook Fanpage and/or following me on Twitter. I will post reminders to let you know when it is time to set your New Moon intentions 😉

For more info about Setting New Moon Intentions, click here.

Tuesday morning, at 6:01am EST, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that will last for 24 hours, until 6am EST (Wednesday morning). Use this intuitive time to focus on a long-term vision for your communities that involves a mature and realistic approach. As best as you can, take your time, and do your best to come from a place of integrity.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Tuesday all day until Wednesday morning ahead of time.

Wednesday, Feb. 2nd:

Wednesday, the Moon remains freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius and VoC until 6am EST (see Monday early morning & Tuesday morning for details).

Wednesday at 6am EST, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Friday late morning. This Moon placement often finds us more sensitive, intuitive, idealistic, and imaginative than normal. We also have a greater capacity for compassion, sympathy, and affection for all — but especially for those who suffer or can be regarded as the underdog.

But… that very idealism could also be our downfall at this time: We tend to see the best in everyone and everything, and when reality doesn’t match our idyllic vision, we might feel upset and even victimized by those harsh realities. A way out of this is to channel our idealism into spiritual or creative endeavors.

It’s also a great time for releasing fears — especially the ones based on a sense of separation — and experiencing “oneness”. Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them — in fact, “going with the flow” is the best way to go for the next couple of days.

Neptune is the ruler of Pisces — and it is currently in its own signmaking these next two days a great time to take a look at our inner spiritual connection to our “higher Self”, “Source”, “God/Goddess”.

It’s also a great time to allow all there is, as it is, and to go with the flow, following our intuitive voice as much as possible. We are being asked to tap into the “feminine” energies within ourselves so we can start to vibrate on a universal frequency.

Ask yourself: Is my “higher Self” asking for more introverted/inner love-time? If I tune in with my intuitive voice, what am I receiving? Sensing?

Where in my life have I become too disconnected from life? Love? God/Goddess? What is my connection to the spiritual realm? What about the “heart realm”? How could nature and/or animals teach me about those realms?

Do I need more downtime? More resting-time? More compassion? How might being kind to myself, and trusting the process of Life create a more loving connection with the universe?

If you haven’t set your New Moon Intentions yet, today (Wednesday) all day is still time to do so during the most potent time… If you’d like some input on how to do that, check out this article — to (re-)watch my New Moon video: click here

Wednesday late afternoon/early evening, provides an opportunity to tap into your intuitive and imaginative abilities — then focus anew on your long-term goals — so as best as you can, allow your pursuits to be guided by your intuitive knowing (Moon in Pisces sextiles Mars in Capricorn, exact at 5:33pm EST)

Wednesday evening: we feel more excited and optimistic about our connection to “The All”. We are ready to explore greater truths about our intuitive and imaginative gifts, and how in-tune we are with everything around us, making this a great time for spiritual or creative endeavors — for example, energy work, or anything that requires our intuitive side. (Moon conjuncts Jupiter in Pisces, exact at 6:57pm EST)

Wednesday night/Thursday very early morning, if we are awake at this time, we get an opportunity to be very present, to connect with others and share a new vision about the Earth, or to reinvent how we connect with “the good things in life”.

As best as you can, bring a sense of flow and faith to who you are being; allow yourself to intuitively share some progressive, new ideas about what is important to you, and things that could make your own and other people’s lives easier on a very practical level. (Moon in Pisces sextiles Uranus in Taurus, exact at 12:30am EST)

Thursday, Feb. 3rd:

Thursday, the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Wednesday morning for details).

Thursday very early morning, if we are awake at this time, we get an opportunity to be very present; also to connect with others on a professional level. This is a great time to be receiving practical advice around our long-term goals. As best as you can, bring a sense of flow and faith to your interactions with others. (Moon in Pisces sextiles Venus in Capricorn, exact at 1:35am EST)

Thursday evening, we feel more sensitive and need to slow down a little. This is a great time for spiritual or creative endeavors. Energy work, or anything that requires our intuitive side, will work best for the next several hours. (Moon in Pisces conjuncts Neptune in Pisces, exact at 6:54pm EST)

Thursday late evening, at 11:13pm EST, Mercury comes to a halt in 24.5 degrees of Capricorn and slowly starts its direct motion, ending its 3-week Retrograde phase. As best as you can, go with the flow, keep an open mind and pay attention to anything that is in your face right now — you may need to address those issues again, when Mercury moves through its post-Shadow phase…more on that in a moment…

We are slowly ready to shift our focus back towards the outer world again, taking in new information and sharing from a new perspective.

When Mercury gets back to its regular speed (by Feb. 6th), communication and transportation will get back to normal; the same is true of any associated gadgets, vehicles, etc.

Some of us will feel the effects of this station more than others: those of us with Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) — and those of us with personal planets (or angles) in 22-27 degrees of Capricorn, Cancer, Aries, or Libra?

Also on Thursday, with Mercury going direct, Mercury’s post-Shadow phase begins — lasting until Feb 23rd/24th…. as you may recall, I mentioned Mercury Shadow phases in this update a few weeks back: If you want to buy, sell or ship big-ticket items, it’s best to avoid the Shadow periods before Mercury goes retrograde, and after it goes direct.

This is especially true if the items are connected to technology, transportation (cars, plane tickets, etc.) or communication (phone, computer, iPad, etc.) Click here to read my blog on the subject.

Thursday late evening, we get an opportunity to be very present; also to connect with others and share practical advice or talk about our long-term plans. As best as you can, bring a sense of flow and faith to your interactions with others. (Moon in Pisces sextiles Mercury in Capricorn, exact at 11:55pm EST)

Friday, Feb. 4th:

Friday, the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces until 9:57am EST (see Wednesday morning for details).

From today until April 29th, all planets will be in forward motion; this indicates an accelerated time of manifestation — especially in connection with new projects or new ideas. Take advantage of those energies to make progress with any big ideas.

Ask yourself: What in my life is asking for accelerated progress? What am I wishing to manifest with the support of the Universe?

Friday early morning, at 4:41am EST, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that will last for a little over 5 hours, until 9:57am EST. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to be guided by inspiration, and fully commit to a project or task that might serve you long-term. As best as you can, listen and trust the subtle messages in your heart that stir you towards success.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Friday early morning until morning ahead of time.

Friday morning, an opportune Mars/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 8:38am EST. We started to feel this aspect build from Monday evening on, and it will remain strong until next week, Tuesday evening (Feb 8th)This aspect is an opportunity for us to tap into our optimism, enthusiasm and sense of expansion. We are more likely to connect with others in an active and fun way.

We feel stronger, more assertive, and more straightforward — and this goes over well with others. As with all opportunities in life, this one is not simply handed to us, we have to make something of it.

Ask yourself: What immediate action would help create expansive and compassionate collaborations filled with mutual understanding? What perspectives or attitudes would support a heart-centered and sustainable outcome with my long-term goals?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or any personal planets in 6-10 degrees of Capricorn, Pisces, Taurus, or Scorpio? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Sagittarius (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius)

Friday, at 9:57am EST, the Moon moves into pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Sunday early evening. Life is an adventure, we’re more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately.

Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body’s excess energy.

Friday afternoon, a Sun/Saturn alignment in 16 degrees of Aquarius becomes exact at 2:05pm EST. We started to feel this aspect build from Tuesday early morning on, and it will remain strong until next week, Monday evening (Feb. 7th). This alignment brings a more serious tone to our commitments with our long-term goals — it’s a time when we are called upon to “get real”.

This is especially true for future visions that require diligence and self-discipline, but also applies to anything that requires consistency and a mature approach. We are motivated by the desire to manifest tangible results. We are able to focus and work hard right now, especially if we have a vision in mind that serves a greater good; we welcome a sense of discipline, structure, and order.

Recommended at this time: making new commitments to previously-held visions, taking care of our responsibilities, making careful use of anything that’s within our control.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 13-19 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, or Scorpio? If so, you may feel the effects of this alignment more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Capricorn  (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn rules Capricorn).

Saturday, Feb. 5th:

Saturday, the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Friday late morning for details)

Saturday, very early morning, starts out with lots of energy, and brings a strong desire for accomplishment, but we need to adjust and innovate. On the one hand, we are invited to take actions towards building solid foundations for our long-term goals. Some helpful questions you could ask yourself: What benefits might I reap from taking cautious actions and moving at a realistic pace?

On the other hand, we have this need to make time for personal desires and needs; here, you could ask yourself: What does my inner teenager require to be happy at this time? Flexibility is key 😉 (Moon in Aries squares Mars in Capricorn, exact at 1:27am EST)

Also on Saturday, very early morning, there is lots of potential for healing around family, the “mother archetype”, home, and our past in general. We may feel more sensitive and insecure about what we identify with, and around our ability to be assertive; this gives us the opportunity to give ourselves some compassion, acceptance and nurturing in the face of our sensitivities and limitations. (Moon conjuncts Chiron in Aries, exact at 3:05am EST)

Saturday morning, we are invited to make adjustments and find creative solutions around personal desires and needs, versus our professional connections and the long-term value we perceive in them. As best as you can, allow yourself to make space for both; flexibility and adaptability are key if we mean to move forward with our plans and projects… (Moon in Aries squares Venus in Capricorn, exact at 7:56am EST)

Saturday after 10am EST (and especially from 5:17pm on), it is time to start taking actions on your New Moon intentions. If you set Intentions on Feb. 1st or 2nd — after the New Moon became exact on Tuesday — today will be the best time to take relevant actions.

If you wrote your intentions down, go back and take another look at what came through intuitively. If you didn’t write anything down, get quiet for a moment and check in with yourself: What actions are calling to me?

Saturday afternoon, we get an opportunity to take actions on our personal goals, in a very concrete way and bring a new level of focus and authenticity to our future visions (Moon in Aries sextiles Saturn in Aquarius, exact at 3:22pm EST)post at 1:25pm EST

Sunday, Feb. 6th:

Sunday, the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries until 5:52pm EST (see Friday late morning for details).

Sunday morning, a challenging Mars/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 7:57am EST. We started to feel this aspect build from Tuesday evening on, and it will remain strong until next week, Thursday evening (Feb. 10th)This aspect invites us to stretch and grow beyond what we thought was possible in regards to our masculine energies. It requires a creative approach and an ability to see our insecurities around anger or self-assertion as a part of being human.

This aspect also challenges us to see our own attachments and aversions as a normal, perhaps even valid, part of being human. That way, should we choose to express desire or anger (or even contempt or disgust), such expressions will feel natural and organic, rather than something that provokes shame.

We may experience situations that call forth our initiative and independence — but may not feel confident that we can rise to the challenge, let alone follow through. When the challenge comes, do your very best to leap into action and experience the excitement that comes with stepping out of the familiar — you could also ask yourself: What would my hero do?

We may also experience triggers that are connected to past wounds from childhood. Take this as an opportunity to grow and allow yourself to notice (rather than judge) your reactions.

Ask yourself: How old am I, when I react to my triggers? What if there was no shame in my feeling angry? No matter how strong the feeling? What if I could connect with the part of me that got triggered and see it as valid and deserving of my love and understanding? How might a compassionate approach support me next time around?

Those of us who have any of our personal planets (or our Ascendant) in 6-13 degrees of Capricorn, Aries, Cancer, or Libra will feel most affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries (Mars is the ruler of Aries)

Sunday early afternoon, at 12:21pm EST, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that will last for 5.5 hours, until 5:52pm EST. Use this intuitive time to make some adjustments and find creative ways to work with the energies at play: On the one hand, as best as you can, follow your inner compass and take care of your own needs; on the other hand, deepen your authentic connection to whatever you are building long-term.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday early afternoon until the early evening ahead of time.

Sunday at 5:52pm EST, the Moon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will journey until next week, Wednesday early morning (Feb. 9th). We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well. In other words: change is not our favorite thing and “rushing things” goes against our grain.

What is our favorite thing for the next two days? It’s probably slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses 😉

Also, on Sunday, Mercury resumes its normal pace through the sky, ending its station. Communication and transportation are now back to “normal” as are any associated gadgets, vehicles, etc. New ideas and information received during the Mercury Retrograde phase (Jan. 14th – Feb. 3rd) can now be reviewed.

Ask yourself: What did I learn about my affiliations with like-minded people? What needed to be addressed with regards to any group experiences, humanitarian causes, or technology? What did I learn about my unique ability to make a difference in my communities or networks? What did I learn about my long-term goals, my aspirations? Where are my limitations? Where does my expertise lie?

What am I ready to bring to the world from all those realizations? What felt most in alignment with my inner core?

And…

A heads up for next Monday (Feb. 7th): the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day (see Sunday early evening for details); in the late morningthe Moon in Taurus sextiles Jupiter in Pisces, exact at 10:58am EST; it trines Mars in Capricorn, exact at 2:12pm EST; it then conjuncts Uranus in Taurus, exact at 3:22pm EST; and it also trines Venus in Capricorn, exact at 7pm EST; last but not least, Venus also ends her Station phase on Monday. More about all the details in next week’s forecast : )

New Moon in Aquarius – the article

On Feb. 1st at 12:46am EST, a powerful New Moon in almost 12.5 degrees of Aquarius becomes exact; this is the beginning of a new Moon cycle.  I also recommend you watch my video on the subject.

This Lunar cycle invites us to go out there and connect (or re-connect) with “our people” – with a tribe that resonates, a cause that feels aligned with our principles and our integrity, a connection that serves a larger vision for the future, etc.

Ask yourself: What did I learn about my long-term goals, my aspirations, and how I want to show up, out there in the world (within current social structures)? What have I learned about my sense of self-worth and the value I bring to the world?

Where are my limitations? Where does my expertise lie? How much do I honor myself and what I am contributing to the world?

What did I learn about my affiliations with like-minded people? What needed to be addressed with regards to any group experiences, humanitarian causes, or technology? What did I learn about my unique ability to make a difference in my communities or networks?

What am I ready to bring to the world from all those realizations? What felt most in alignment with my inner core?

From February 4th to April 29th, all planets will be in forward motion. This indicates an accelerated time of manifestation — especially connected to new projects or new ideas.

Ask yourself: What in my life is asking for accelerated progress? What am I wishing to manifest with the support of the Universe?

The New Moon aligns with Saturn in Aquarius and all three “planets” square Uranus in Taurus. Let’s first talk a little bit about Aquarius in general and what this energy represents before jumping into the aspects of this New Moon chart:

The highest vibration of Aquarius represents the threshold of individuation and the attainment of group consciousness, where we transcend differences of gender, race, religion, and nationality, and realize that we are all members of the human race. It is the energy of equality and diversity, freedom and reform, collaboration and community.

With the synergistic power of Aquarius —where combined efforts achieve far more than individual actions, and where everyone matters — we could make great progress in a short amount of time.

However, if we have not successfully navigated the prior stages — especially the Capricorn stage, which is the development of a healthy sense of responsibility, maturity, and self-reliance — we blindly conform to what we have been conditioned into rather than what is actually in true alignment with who we are and how we want to show up in the world.

For most of human history, being cast out usually meant certain death, either quickly and gruesomely at the hands (and teeth) of predators, or slowly through starvation. Nonconformity still sometimes exacts a steep price, ranging from ridicule to murder; unconsciously, we store memories of dire consequences for not going along with “the tribe”.

Ask yourself: If my body was wired for survival, what would its natural response be to any perceived threat? How could I settle and soothe myself and my body as and when these natural survival reactions show up? What if I chose to tune in and trust myself rather than tune outwards and trust everyone else?

Here is another way this denser vibration of Aquarius could show up: we could get stuck in the polar opposite — feeling alienated, unable to relate to others who are different, and isolate ourselves.

Ask yourself: Do I struggle sometimes with being an outsider? What if I was never meant to fit in? What if my purpose was to help humanity with its evolutionary process rather than to blend in? Have I been considered an “oddball” or a “black sheep” in the past? What if I could connect with other “oddballs” and “black sheep”? How might that make me feel less alienated? Where can I find “my people”? My community?

We get trapped in these denser vibration when we do not take responsibility for our part in the collective — when we do not honor our individual genius, our unique contribution to society, or to our communities.

Ask yourself: What if I allowed myself to be both different  and  connected to others?  What stops me from being me when I am with my “tribe”?

Imagine a world where everyone was a clone of yourself. Same features, personality, preferences, style, ideas, beliefs… same everything! How long could a world like that exist? How long before the human spirit perished?

This New Moon aligns with Saturn in Aquarius. Saturn symbolizes form and structure on all levels, from personal ego constructs, patterns, and beliefs, to governments, corporations, and institutions of all kinds. With Saturn we are learning about limits, responsibility, and becoming our own authority.

We are asked to take responsibility for our part in the collective, to turn a critical eye on everything we envision for our future, and adopt an objective, scientific approach. We are individually and collectively invited to clarify our thoughts and take a closer look at the agreements that we made with each other on a collective level.

Should this process take place at an unconscious level, or without the appropriate steps, it will create a tremendous amount of pressure. Our resistance to this pressure could generate nagging anxiety and even depression.

As best as you can, slow down a little, and focus on what can be done within the limitations that you are currently experiencing. Rushing will backfire right now.

Ask yourself: What works for me? What doesn’t? Does my current participation in my various groups or networks align with who I am now? With where I see myself 5 years from now? What do I truly want to commit myself to?

Do the communities in my life (whether local or online) truly resonate with my personal vision for the future — as it stands now, rather than what it was 5 or 10 years ago? Which “cooperations” or businesses do I want to support? Which do I want to disconnect or part myself from?

The Sun-Moon-Saturn alignment in Aquarius squares Uranus in Taurus in this New Moon chart. This means that we will be dealing with some uncomfortable interactions with others, and with uncertainty on a personal and collective level. Giving ourselves space (and giving lots of space to others) is essential.

Ask yourself: What do I value differently from others? How could these differences spark a creative process? How might they bring diversity and innovation to our collective interactions? Where do I need to be more flexible? Where are the edges of the box I need to think outside of?

Most of us want peace and abundance for ourselves and others, a world in which we can all appreciate and enjoy life with minimal interruption, and with the certainty that we are physically taken care of — so ask: What if my taking the time to focus on building a future that realistically supports all human beings could actually bring all that about for everyone… myself included?

Squares always mark important turning points, where we have to make some kind of shift before we can move forward. Saturn and Uranus are in a waning Square, requiring a shift in perspective and a release of what blocks future development.

Ask yourself: What might a broader perception of reality give me? What if I explored alternatives that support me with what really matters? With what is sustainable and best for all concerned? Could I allow myself to be 5% more inventive, authentic and willing to operate without social approval?

The Sun-Moon-Saturn alignment in Aquarius also makes a Sextile to Chiron in Aries. This presents an opportunity to connect with others and engage in a healing process around our personal identities that could bring us progress. Ask yourself: What if taking a compassionate approach towards myself and others actually made for a better future for all humankind?

How might a gentler and more holistic approach to my personal goals and aspirations create communities that support everyone’s differences and unique quirks?

Let’s talk about some of the other aspects in this New Moon chart: an exalted Mercury aligns with Pluto in Capricorn and an exalted Venus is starting to align with Mars in Capricorn. As we can see, lots of planetary alignments in Capricorn.

The Mercury-Pluto alignment gives us tremendous mental focus — which could tip into obsession. Especially with an exalted Mercury (that is still Retrograde at the time of the New Moon), pay attention to your thoughts, and take the pressure off whenever possible.

Choose love over fear! Connect to the things you feel passionate about — and connect to others, empowering them with your passions (that includes yourself!). As best as you can, choose your words carefully — if possible, speak from that deeply connected and empowered place.

The Venus-Mars alignment represents a marriage of courage and collaboration, inviting us to allow the masculine (active/doing/asserting) and feminine (receiving/allowing/being) to work together — in a responsible way.

Ask yourself: Where do I need to be more courageous when it comes to my authentic standing in society? What if I responded to situations in a way that respects and serves all those involved? What if I became 5% more aware of my personal power? Where might I have given it away to others? And how might I begin to reclaim it?

With so many planets in Capricorn, it is important for us to take breaks or simply slow down and allow ourselves to tune in. It’s important to nurture our “inner baby” and stay emotionally connected to family or loved ones.

Ask yourself: Could I take the pressure off just a tiny bit every day? What would 100% responsibility for my life look like? Does that include how I treat myself? Could I allow myself to receive 5% more love and support from trusted sources?

The Venus-Mars alignment also squares Chiron in Aries. This combo asks us to stretch ourselves and find ways towards being more forgiving with ourselves and others instead of harsh and hard.

Ask yourself: What might I be able to contribute to the world if I embraced my own humanity just 5% more?

What might become possible if I was willing to just “be with” my insecurities, “sensitivities”, or past wounding, without trying to fix them? What if my attempts to fix them were the very thing keeping me from seeing the divine perfection of it all?

Mercury also sextile Neptune in Pisces: this aspect provides a particularly potent opportunity to bring an intuitive and creative approach to building various foundations in our lives — both individually and collectively.

Ask yourself: What might transpire if I brought 5% more compassion and acceptance to my inner and outer long-term processes? What could I manifest if I was simply present in the now-moment to all the energies inside and around me? What would my starting point be then? How could my mind apply and support the guidance of my intuitive heart?

Jupiter sextiles Uranus in Taurus and the Venus-Mars alignment in Capricorn. This is an opportunity to be very present, to connect with others from the heart and share a new vision about the Earth, or to reinvent how we connect with “the good things in life”.

We also have a unique opportunity right now to more courageously trust our inner processes, while also allowing the Universe/Source/our Higher Selves to step in and guide us as we expand structures (individually and collectively) that support something sustainable and long-lasting.

Ask yourself: What does this look like for me? How might I contribute to the collective version of that effort? What if I explored things that could make my own and other people’s life easier on a very practical level?

What if I allowed myself to intuitively share some progress-oriented new ideas about what is important to me? What would it look like if I celebrated (and leveraged) my idealism and unorthodox approaches to life’s challenges?

Quantum Physics tells us that the observer affects the observed, and this implies that our focus determines our experience of reality — whenever we meditate, pray, bless, or hold loving thoughts, either by ourselves, with others, for ourselves, for others, we create a better reality for all of us.

Ask yourself: Could I just experiment with this “theory” for a week or two? What if there was no downside to trying it out? Would I do it then?

To sum it all up: we are ready to change the status quo, both in our own individual lives, and also collectively — and this could come with challenges and some breakdowns, plus some nervous energy and impatience — so definitely bring as much objectivity to your interactions as possible.

As best as you can, bring a sense of flow and faith to who you are being, and practice self-alignment and self-responsibility, whenever possible.

We also may experience sudden spurts of energy moving through our bodies, so we need to ground ourselves regularly, or channel these “disruptive” energies in a healthy way. Exercise would be a good channel, as would healthy debates, brainstorming about reforms or finances, etc. 😉

Since we experience a need to connect with like-minded people while remaining objective, but also want to break free from outdated value systems, we may have to directly address what we value — both in others, and in ourselves.

Ask yourself: What outdated values am I ready to release? Where do I take other people’s values personally? What if agreeing with other people’s values was overrated? What if respectful disagreement was valuable to everyone involved?

What if diversity was the greatest gift we could give to each other at this time? What if time really did “heal all”? What if time also brought wholeness to all? If that were so, how much patience would be just the right amount?

As best as you can, remember why you are here at this momentous time of change on this planet. “Think Different”, “Keep your Heart open” and come together. Help birth a new world one day at a time.

James Clear, says it beautifully in this article: “For most of our evolutionary history, our ancestors lived in tribes. Becoming separated from the tribe—or worse, being cast out—was a death sentence… When we have to choose between the two, people often select friends and family over facts… The way to change people’s minds is to become friends with them, to integrate them into your tribe, to bring them into your circle… As proximity increases, so does understanding… If someone you know, like, and trust believes a radical idea, you are more likely to give it merit, weight, or consideration… the best place to ponder a threatening idea is in a non-threatening environment. As a result, books are often a better vehicle for transforming beliefs than conversations or debates… The word “kind” originated from the word “kin.” When you are kind to someone it means you are treating them like family… Develop a friendship. Share a meal. Gift a book. Be kind first, be right later.”

Finally, let’s talk “New Moon Intentions” 🙂 The New Moon is the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle; this is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact, and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.

That means that this month, the best time to set intentions would be any time between 12:46am and 6:01am on Feb. 1st, and then again, from 6am on Feb. 2nd until 12:46am on Feb. 3rd -(New York Time/US Eastern Time)

If you live in a timezone other than EST (US East Coast), and converting timezones isn’t your thing, I suggest joining my Facebook Fanpage and/or following me on Twitter. I will post reminders to let you know when it is time to set your New Moon intentions 😉

The Realm of All That Can Be Seen & Held

This week’s headline items: Mars changes signs from Sagittarius to Capricorn on Monday morning; the last Quarter Moon in Scorpio becomes exact on Tuesday morning; Mercury (still moving backward due to its retrograde) re-enters Capricorn on Tuesday late evening; the Balsamic Moon phase begins on Friday evening; on Saturday early morning, Venus comes to halt and goes direct, ending her 6-week Retrograde phase and beginning her post-Shadow period; Uranus ends its Station phase (in Taurus) on Sunday, and will no longer be retrograde.

There will be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday early evening (for almost 6 hours); Wednesday night/Thursday very early morning (for a little over 2 hours); Friday afternoon (for a little over 14 hours); and Sunday late evening (for 5 hours).

Before we get to this week’s forecast, I’d like to mention:

If you missed my Forecasting Forum last week, and still would like to learn how to align yourself with the current Moon Nodes in Taurus-Scorpio, feel free to get the mp4-video presentation “Moon Nodes in Taurus-Scorpio 2022/23” — and see how this relates to your own Birth Chart.

    • How can you best use the Moon Node transit between now and July 2023?
    • What will you discover about your physical resources (ie. finances), your physical enjoyment of things, your talents, and your relationships to abundance — over the next 18 months?
    • What old traumas are you looking to release or become aware of, over the next 18 months? What feels disempowering and no longer relevant? What needs to be transformed, so you can thrive and feel abundant?
    • How will this planetary shift impact people with planets or points/angles in Taurus, Scorpio, Leo, or Aquarius?

Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, January 24th:

Monday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra until 10:57pm EST. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.

We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time, and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. Today is a great time for mediation — but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might like.

We may also be able to see both sides of the equation so well that we can’t make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm — even if it’s “No” 😉 One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.

Monday at 7:53am EST, Mars changes signs from optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius to ambitious, goal-oriented Capricorn where it will journey until March 6th.

For those 6 weeks, we tend to feel more determined, goal-oriented, and focused. We are not afraid to work hard on attainable goals so that we can see tangible results.

Our drive to succeed is quite strong, especially when we feel a need for physical and material security — that is, in the realm of all that can be seen and held. Our self-control tends to be quite strong around the expression of “drives” — things like anger, energy, ambition, and sexuality — in fact, with Mars in Capricorn we are at our least impulsive, with a powerful need to stay in control.

Because we have such a strong sense of responsibility, we need to be careful not to start using work to hide from others. Anger can easily get channeled into our work as well. As best as you can, be kind to yourself, remember we all do the best we can; there is no need for extra pressure.

If you have an Aries Sun-sign or Rising-sign, you are going to feel more focused and determined. You may want to get down to business. If you are a Capricorn Sun-sign or Rising sign, you will feel quite energized for the next 6 weeks. Channeling this energy into physical exercise or a project might be advisable.

Monday early evening, at 5:10pm EST, we enter a  Moon Void of Course (VoC), that will last for almost 6 hours, until 10:57pm EST. Use this intuitive time to make some adjustments and find creative ways to work with the energies at play: On the one hand, as best as you can, collaborate with others and play nice, on the other hand, be authentic and truthful about what you want to build long-term.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday evening ahead of time.

Monday, at 10:57pm EST, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Thursday very early morning. We feel things deeply and have “X-Ray Vision” and “Bullshit-Smelling Abilities”.

Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us at this time; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as flat-out dishonest. Once we feel safe trusting someone, we want to merge with them, preferably forever… as long as our trust is never betrayed.

The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. This occurs by a process of subtraction — it urges us to let go of whatever disempowers us. It’s thus an excellent time to look at “old” fears, limiting habits, or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.

Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity — it’s “in or out”, “with us or against us”, “love me or leave me”. It can therefore be stormy — a cold winter storm, or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we “work” the energies 🙂

Tuesday, Jan. 25th:

Tuesday, the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Monday late evening for details).

Tuesday morning, at 8:41am EST, the last Quarter Moon in 5.5 degrees of Scorpio becomes exact. The Moon in deep-feeling Scorpio is making a challenging aspect to the Sun in emotionally detached Aquarius. This may bring up some challenges. However, it also energizes us to look at what needs to be completed — and what needs to be changed.

This Moon phase brings us closer to Feb. 1st, which will bring us to the New Moon in Aquarius. During the last Quarter Moon, we are better served by reviewing those projects we began around the last New Moon — in this case, that would be the New Moon from Jan. 2nd — as opposed to launching new ones.

Out of those projects, what needs last-minute adjustments? What did you discover since Jan. 2nd? What did it mean for you?

As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up (whether internally, or with others).

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 3-8 degrees of Scorpio, Aquarius, Leo, or Taurus? If so, you are more affected by this month’s last Quarter Moon. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer.

Tuesday late evening, at 10:05pm EST, Mercury re-enters ambitious, goal-oriented Capricorn (due to its current Retrograde phase). It will journey there until Feb. 14th. Mercury journeyed through Capricorn already once before: from Dec. 13th until Jan. 2nd.

Think back to that time — especially from Dec. 29th until Jan. 2nd: What conversations need to be revisited from that time? What did you communicate to others? What came up in your business dealings with others? How about with your inner dialog? What long-term decisions did you make?

Until Feb. 3rd (while Mercury is still in its Retrograde phase) this placement offers us a chance to re-evaluate our long-term goals and aspirations and how we want to show up, out there in the world (within current social structures). This is an internal process — a chance to go within and see what feels most in alignment with our inner core.

This is also an optimal time to catch up on unfinished business, repair what’s not working, and reconnect with people, places, or things that bring us closer to our desired status in the world.

In general, this is a time when our minds like to make concrete plans for the future. A systematic, practical approach to reaching our goals is now favored; we are good at focusing on practical matters and getting down to the essentials.

We do not waste any words at this time — what we say is truthful and to the point. We see reality very clearly now — and it might not look as rosy as we thought. As best as you can, use this time to get in touch with what’s real in your life — without going down the “rabbit hole” of pessimistic inadequacy 😉

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo? If so, you will be more serious and possibly more eager to accomplish concrete goals. Do you have your Ascendent or Sun-sign in Capricorn? If so, you will most likely feel more chatty for the next 3 weeks.

Wednesday, Jan. 26th:

Wednesday, the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Monday late evening for details).

Wednesday very early morning, we feel a need to focus on our commitments to our online and local communities, but also a need for deep, authentic — even intimate — connections to others. As best as you can, make adjustments and watch out for becoming rigid, stressed, or anxious. Ask yourself: What if I took just 5% of the pressure off? What if I approached my connections out there in the world 5% less seriously? (Moon in Scorpio squares Saturn in Aquarius, exact at 12:42am EST)

Wednesday late morning: we are likely to experience a sense of ease and flow but may need to slow down and allow our feelings to come through. A gentle approach is best. We feel good when coming from the heart and making deeper connections with others. Being open to receiving, trusting the process, and going with the flow will be very helpful! (Moon in Scorpio trines Neptune in Pisces, exact at 11:47am EST)

Wednesday evening, we feel good about making deeper connections; we’ll have an opportunity to become fully committed to a project or task, something that might serve us long-term. (Moon in Scorpio sextiles Pluto in Capricorn, exact at 9:10pm EST)

Wednesday night/Thursday very early morning, at 12:28am EST, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that will last for a little over 2 hours until 2:34am EST. If you are awake during this intuitive time, use it as an opportunity to connect with others on an authentic level — and to get some clarity about your long-term commitments. What might become possible if you let yourself trust others and connect with them to share practical advice or talk about your long-term plans?

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Wednesday night ahead of time.

Thursday, Jan. 27th:

Thursday, the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio and VoC until 2:34am EST (see Monday late evening and Wednesday night for details).

Thursday at 2:34am EST, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, where it will journey until Saturday early morning. We’re strongly motivated to explore and learn. We’re not likely to be big fans of routine — diversity and new adventures work best at this time — we’re also physically restless and need to burn that off with activity and physical exercise.

We tend to feel more open, optimistic, and inspired — but we also have a high degree of independence — and taking these two influences together means we’d rather inspire others to do things our way, as opposed to issuing or obeying orders. Inspiring others could come easier than normal, as we can see the bigger picture, leaving us confident that others will agree with us, once they see what we see.

As best as you can, speak your truth without assuming that everyone is on the same page as you. Improvisation works well for us at this time, as we are spontaneous and love living on the edge — just watch out you aren’t overdoing or overstating things.

Thursday afternoon provides an opportunity to connect and collaborate with like-minded people, have an adventure, or simply do something that gets you excited about the future. (Moon in Sagittarius sextiles Sun in Aquarius, exact at 3:47pm EST)

Thursday late afternoon/early evening, we might find ourselves wanting to explore a new healing modality for body, mind, and heart, aimed at renewing our enthusiasm for life. We are capable of being compassionate and forgiving with ourselves at this time — and a gentle and holistic approach is best. (Moon in Sagittarius trines Chiron in Aries, exact at 5:50pm EST)

Thursday evening, we experience a need for inner adjustments. We feel uneasy or awkward and need to make a choice. Making this choice demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: on the one hand, the desire to mentally explore and go beyond what we already know — and on the other hand, the need for breakthroughs or change connected to the physical plane.

We need to ask ourselves here: What might become possible if I got 5% more comfortable with being uncomfortable? Or 5% more comfortable embracing uncertainty? (Moon in Sagittarius quincunxes Uranus in Taurus, exact at 8:43pm EST)

Friday, Jan. 28th:

Friday, the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Thursday very early morning for details).

Friday afternoon, at 2:00pm EST, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that will last for a little over 14 hours until 4:09am EST (Saturday early morning). As best you can, honor both your need for adventure and exploration of life and your need to go within and get quiet. You may also feel a pull between introvert and extrovert, or simply fast and slow.

Tune in for a moment and see if you need to take a break or at least slow down a little. As best as you can, be compassionate and kind with yourself.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Friday afternoon until Saturday early morning ahead of time.

Friday evening, around 6pm EST, the Balsamic Moon phase begins when the Moon reaches 24º of Sagittarius. This lasts until next week, Monday night/Tuesday very early morning, when the New Moon in Aquarius becomes exact (more on that next week… however, feel free to watch my New Moon video now — click here.

We are being asked to slow down and get quiet, so we can listen to our inner sensing/intuition. For some of us, this might be a stretch. As best as you can: stay grounded, take a deep breath, and exhale any tensions. Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing existing projects or processes.

This is also a great time for letting go of whatever no longer serves us. What if you could hear the voice of your inner wisdom? What might it be saying?

Friday late evening, an opportune Sun/Chiron becomes exact at 9:57pm EST. We started to feel this aspect build from Wednesday evening on, and it will remain strong until Sunday evening. This aspect is an opportunity for self-healing that could support our vision for the future and bring us into better alignment with our physical and emotional bodies.

We all have flaws, wounds, insecurities. The more we can open up to that being ok for ourselves, the less judgmental we will be with others. This is also a great time to recognize that our so-called flaws and insecurities have become some of our best assets and strengths — how might this be true for you?

Until Sunday evening, as best as you can, practice gentleness; be kind to yourself and others. Again, remember: an opportunity is an opening, a glimpse of new possibilities — so “opportunities” are not simply handed to us, tied up with a bow — we have to “take” them, and make something of them. What will you do with this particular opportunity?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 7-11 degrees of Aquarius, Aries, Gemini, or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo (the Sun rules Leo).

Friday late evening, a Mercury/Pluto alignment in almost 27 degrees of Capricorn becomes exact at 11:16pm EST. We started to feel this aspect build from Wednesday evening on, and it will remain strong until Feb. 14thThis is the second time within the last four weeks that we are experiencing this alignment, due to Mercury’s Retrograde phase; the first time was Dec. 29th – Jan. 1st.

Think back to that time: What did you communicate to others at that time — and how? What came up in a powerful way? Did you get a chance to empower yourself and others? What was your inner dialog all about?

This alignment will happen again (for a third time) on Feb. 11th, but we will continue to feel this connection from now until Feb. 14th; during it, an all-or-nothing attitude is very likely.

We have tremendous mental focus — which could tip into obsession. Choose love over fear whenever possible. Connect to the things you feel passionate about — and connect to others, empowering them with your passions. As best as you can, choose your words carefully — if possible, speak from that deeply connected and empowered place.

Here are some questions you can ask yourself: What fears or concerns do I need to let go of, to communicate more powerfully and with passion?

Am I living my life from a place of wanting to protect myself from long-term harm or worst-case scenarios? Or with an open heart, feeling empowered in my daily choices?

If you answered “yes” (or “sometimes”) to the first question, ask yourself: Am I ready to let go of thinking or obsessing about worst-case scenarios? Am I ready to trust the process and give myself permission to grieve any losses and let go of the urge to protect myself at any cost?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in the following placements: 24-29 degrees of Capricorn, Cancer, Aries, or Libra? Or 0 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, or Scorpio? If so, you may feel more connected to this alignment. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo, or Scorpio (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Pluto rules Scorpio).

Saturday, Jan. 29th:

Saturday, the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius and VoC until 4:09am EST (see Thursday very early morning for details)

Saturday very early morning, at 3:46am EST,  Venus comes to a halt at 11 degrees of Capricornturning direct after having been retrograde since Dec. 19th. Whether by Sun-sign or Ascendant, Taurus and Libra people will feel a sense of relief as Venus starts speeding up again (Venus will still be moving slower until Feb. 7th), helping us integrate the realizations of the past six weeks. This will lead to a greater sense of alignment between our inner values and outer experience around relationships and finance.

The period immediately before and after a planet’s Retrograde phase is referred to as the “shadow phase”; at these times, the planet travels once more through the degrees of a sign that it had already passed through before and during its Retrograde phase. Venus is usually in its shadow for about four weeks prior to a retrograde, and for almost five weeks after.

In this case, Venus will be in her post Shadow phase until March 1st; this is territory she already visited during the Retrograde phase and the post-Shadow phase. Come March 1st, when she reaches 25º15′ of Capricorn again, she will finally go beyond where she has been traveling since mid-November.

Between now and March 1st, we have a chance to go over all that we have learned internally in the past 6 weeks, and then apply it to our external reality. This is a chance to address anything that we have reassessed around our values, our relationships (including business relationships or long-term goals), and our gifts and talents.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-26 degrees of Capricorn, Aries, Cancer, or Libra? Do you have your Sun-sign or Rising-sign in Libra or Taurus? If so, you will be more affected by this Shadow phase over the next 5 weeks.

Saturday, at 4:09am EST, the Moon moves into ambitious, goal-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until next week, Monday early morning (Jan. 31st). We tend to be more realistic, serious, cautious; this can support practical endeavors and financial matters.

Our ambition surges and brings with it a need for structure and planning; when you add in the pragmatism this aspect supports, you can see how this could be a very productive time for business and long-term goals. Our reputation becomes very important to us.

As best as you can during this aspect, avoid “should-ing” on yourself. Take the pressure off, perhaps by saying “I am doing the best I can and that’s all I can ever do” 😉

Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn — and it will be transiting through Aquarius until March 2023, making this a great time to take a look at our visions for humanity and at things we would like to accomplish long-term within our communities (in-person or online).

It’s also a great time to take a more serious look at our various networks and connections to like-minded people; as best as you can, be authentic about your affiliations: Do they truly resonate with your personal vision for the future — as it stands now, rather than what it was 5 or 10 years ago?

Does participation in those groups or networks align with who you are now, and with where you see yourself 5 years from now? What do you truly want to commit yourself to?

Sunday, Jan. 30th:

Sunday, the Moon remains in ambitious, goal-oriented Capricorn all day (see Saturday early morning for details).

Sunday afternoon,  a challenging Sun/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 2:32pm EST. We started to feel this aspect build from Thursday morning on, and it will remain strong until next week, Wednesday evening (Feb. 2nd). This aspect asks us to stretch a little. We can’t expect much of anything this week… expect the unexpected!

Future visions and humanitarian causes — especially those connected to like-minded people — are quite likely to experience disruption, calling for flexibility and creative solutions.

During this transit, we feel a great need to make progress, as we feel quite restless — maybe even anxious — but if we’re unclear on what is in our best interest, we might focus on things that don’t serve us in the long run.

As best as you can, go with the flow and stay open to experiencing something new and wonderfully unexpected; if you can, put off making major decisions for the time being… “haste makes waste” during this aspect 😉

You can think of this as “reorganizing” time — like rearranging your furniture — try not to resist the reorganization. Enjoy the ride… and remember: it only feels uncomfortable because it’s new and different. Could you allow yourself to be comfortable with being uncomfortable?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 8-14 degrees of Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, or Scorpio? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aquarius or Leo (the Sun rules Leo; Uranus rules Aquarius).

Sunday late evening, at 11:44pm EST, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that will last for 5 hours until 4:43am EST (Monday early morning). Use this intuitive time to focus on long-term successes. We might get a little obsessed with a project or task — as best as you can, take breaks and don’t forget to practice a little self-care 😉

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan all of Sunday late evening until next week, Monday early morning ahead of time.

Also, on Sunday, Uranus resumes its normal pace through the sky, ending its station (now in direct motion). What has come up in the last four weeks around radical change (financial or otherwise) and freedom around self-worth issues? How are you doing with honoring your own individuality or idiosyncrasies?

And…

A heads up for next Monday (Jan. 31st): Venus is exalted (stations) all week; the Moon remains in ambitious, goal-oriented Capricorn and VoC until 4:43am EST; at which time, the Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until next week, Wednesday morning (Feb. 2nd); and Mercury starts to stations again, getting ready to end its Retrograde phase (on Jan. 3rd). More about all the details in next week’s forecast : )

Moon Nodes in Taurus-Scorpio until 2023!

On Jan. 18th, 2022, at 2:50pm EST, the Moon Nodes switched from Gemini/Sagittarius to Taurus/Scorpio; they will remain in those signs until July 17th, 2023! The last time the Moon Nodes were in these particular signs was back in April 2003 – December 2004.

The transiting Moon Nodes show us what our Soul’s Journey currently requires on the collective and personal levels — let’s take a closer look at what this means:

The goal of the collective Soul’s journey is to balance and integrate two apparently opposite energies: the honoring of the physical, material realm (symbolized by Taurus), and our ability to transform what was traumatic or disempowering with an open heart and use it as inner fuel, making it a strength, while learning about the cycles of life — endings and beginnings of all kinds (linked to Scorpio).

We will thus need to look closely at the balance between honoring our physical, material needs, versus our quest for emotional authenticity and empowering connections – and become more conscious about our Shadow issues and traumas from the past. The Scorpio urge to “go deeper” is essential for our ability to understand the darker parts of our psyche; in terms of balancing these energies, that same urge plays a crucial role in how we connect with others and share our gift and talents (Taurus).

For the next 18 months, ask yourself: How am I doing with owning previously denied or rejected parts of myself? What parts of myself still operate from survival strategies? Where am I still left feeling disempowered in my life?

To get a more personal interpretation, we also need to take a look at the House placement of that Taurus/Scorpio polarity in our own birth charts, as well as the ruling planets of those signs involved… We cover the houses in a webinar (I will include a link at the end of this article).

In Taurus, the North Node invites us to make an effort to…

In Taurus, the North Node invites us to make an effort to honor our own gifts and talents, and to honor and appreciate the physical realm: planet, body, the planet’s resources and our own (e.g. money) — and to look for ways to create beauty and abundance in our lives without destroying our planet and its resources, or our body and its gifts.

Personal growth will come easier if we work on a healthy sense of self-worth and things that make us happy on a physical level. We are also called to develop our talents and are helped to discover and manifest what we truly value and enjoy.

For the next 18 months, ask yourself: What is between me and feeling valued in the world? What if I was the only one of me there will ever be? What might my value be then?

You can also ask: What do I truly value? What deserves my attention, appreciation, and care? Which of my values stems from social conditioning? Which of them needs to change?

The Scorpio South Node insists that we rein in any tendency toward a “black & white” approach to life and/or to be too intense when it comes to connecting with others.

Scorpio ultimately teaches us that every ending is also a beginning — but the South Node in Scorpio could bring up trust issues, addiction to drama and darkness (or substances) — and anything we want to prevent. This could find us coming from an instinctual, self-protective place — in other words, from survival, rather than intuition and love-based spaciousness.

Ask yourself here: What am I invited to shed? Is there a cycle in my life that is ending? What might a new beginning look like?

We are also invited to release or redefine our relationship to trauma stemming from our past — and redefine our relationship to intimacy. Dealing with any fears consciously and honestly will ultimately empower us and set us free.

It comes down to this: Where am I attached to the “old” (perhaps through fear of letting go of it to meet the “new”)? Where might this create some difficulty? Might letting it go it help me build inner strength? Am I ready for “the new”? Can I trust the process? The cycles of Life?

Am I noticing an obsessive quality? Am I afraid of something bad happening? Or am I just concerned? If I’m trying to control what’s outside of me, how’s that working for me? What might happen if I focused on empowering myself and others? What if I opened my heart 5% more? What if I surrendered 5% of my fears every day?

With the North Node in Taurus, we are invited to remember that we are blessed with a miraculous birthday suit, and a beautiful, precious planet — if we feel unworthy or empty inside, material objects or accumulations can only serve as a substitute or distraction from the emptiness that comes from forgetting those facts.

Ask yourself: What do I spend my time, energy, and money on? If this reflected my relationship with myself, what might that mirror show me? Do I feel worthy? Do I value myself? How do I show my value?

Taurus teaches us about the power of beauty, and about things that make us happy on a physical level — again, we are called to develop our talents and sense of self-worth — and we are asked to focus on discovering and manifesting what we truly value and enjoy.

As always when Taurus and Scorpio are involved, we may take things a bit too personally, and perhaps get attached to what we want and how we want it. We may also get attached on an emotional level to people, pleasure, and things; in fact, we may not want to change anything.

Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio and Venus that of Taurus; their transits will impact us for the next 18 months.

Given that Pluto is currently in Capricorn, and moves closely with Venus until March, 2022, we can expect a greater emphasis on some very powerful issues that we are currently dealing with on a collective level — a sort of re-birthing of our economic and financial structures – which could in turn bring up feelings of being out-of-control. We may also experience grief, tremendous pressures to achieve or survive, or other intense feelings; the more we obsess, the more out-of-control we will feel.

The key is to focus on what matters most to us and on transforming denser energy patterns into lighter ones. We can accomplish that by making more of an effort to honor ourselves, our bodies, possessions, talents, material and financial resources, our planet and its resources — and anything we value and want to achieve longer-term.

On a more personal note, Pluto in Capricorn asks us to step into our own authority, and asks us not to give our power away to authority figures out there in the world (politicians, doctors, judges, police officers, parents, teachers, etc.). Instead we need to take responsibility for our own decisions and the choices that we make for ourselves long-term.

The consequences of our choices and motivations also become more obvious with this placement. It is therefore more important than ever to ask yourself: Am I choosing from love or fear?

Love expands, fear contracts. Love unifies, fear divides. What am I experiencing more of? And how could I experience a 5% expansion of the heart? 5% greater unification of mind and soul?

On both the personal and collective levels, observe in the moment what works (and what doesn’t), rather than holding on to any obsessive thoughts or traumatized feelings stemming from the past that no longer serve you.

Venus and Pluto can also be connected to our deep emotional bonds with others — and intimate relationships or partnerships can be a wonderful way for us to integrate what we are experiencing on an emotional level, allowing us to go deeper into some dark places without losing ourselves.

Connecting with others in a deep authentic way might be just what we need to create a shift in our valuing of ourselves, others and the planet.
[/wcm_restrict]
The Moon Nodes are also connected to the Eclipse cycles; each of these cycles prompts us to evolve and provides an opportunity to progress to the next level of our Soul’s Journey — collectively and individually speaking.

The Lunar Eclipse in 27º of Taurus on Nov. 19th, 2021 started this new Eclipse cycle connected to the Taurus/Scorpio polarity. What is beginning? What is ending in your life?

The next Eclipse (a North Node Solar Eclipse in Taurus) will take place on April 30th, 2022; it will be followed by a Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio on May 16th, 2022. There will be more Eclipses in October & November of 2022 — please check my weekly Forecast or bi-monthly videos for more info on those.

Where is your Soul’s journey taking you over the next 18 months? How can you best align yourself with this new collective Soul’s Journey in the Taurus-Scorpio polarity?

If you’d like more detail on how the Moon Nodes’ movements impact you personally until July 2023, join our upcoming Forecasting Forum on Jan. 22nd at 11:30am EST, where we will look at everything detailed in this article in connection with our own birth charts. Greater Emotional Responsibility & Self-Alignment

This week’s headline items: Uranus’ Station has us feeling its energies at a greater intensity all week. On Monday, the Full Moon in Cancer becomes exact, and Mercury’s Station phase ends. On Tuesday, Uranus goes direct — ending its Retrograde — and the Moon Nodes switch from Gemini/Sagittarius to Taurus/Scorpio. On Wednesday, the Sun changes signs from Capricorn to Aquarius and Venus starts to slow down (station), slowly coming to the end of her Retrograde phase. Last but not least, on Sunday, Venus’ station intensifies as the planet slows down even further.

There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday evening (for a little over 4 hours); Thursday very early morning (for almost 6 hours); and Saturday afternoon (for almost 2.5 hours).

Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, January 17th:

Monday, the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer until 11:03pm EST. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say to (and about) us, so be kind to yourself and others. Emotional safety is important to us at this time: We like connecting to the familiar, home or family becomes our sanctuary.

Nurture yourself and others, but remember: Make sure your glass is filled before letting others drink from it — otherwise we might start resenting others for draining our energies.

Monday evening, at 6:48pm EST, the Moon opposes the Sun in almost 28 degrees of CancerThe entrance of the Moon into Cancer late in the morning of Jan. 15th began the energetic build-up towards this Full Moon. Relationships of all kinds are highlighted during this time — but with this Full Moon, there is a particularly strong emphasis on family- and business-relationships. If you are already a Member of my online community, feel free to click here and watch my Full Moon video for more details.

Lots of planets are involved in this Full Moon chart — Mercury and Venus are both Retrograde, while Uranus is exalted, and will come to a halt only 15.5 hours after the Full Moon becomes exact. Neptune supports the integration of the Full Moon polarity, while Pluto intensifies it; Saturn (the ruler of Capricorn) aligns with Mercury in Aquarius, and both square an exalted Uranus in Taurus… and all play an important role, so buckle up! More about the specifics in regards to all of these planets in a moment.

But first, let’s talk about this month’s Full Moon: This Lunation shows us how well we are doing with self-care and any issues connected to family or home — and also where we are in connection to greater emotional responsibility and self-alignment.

Ask yourself: What’s my relationship to self-care and where do I feel most “at home”? What’s my understanding of my emotional needs? How might an emotional connection to myself and loved ones be of benefit to me? How might it shift my priorities?

Cancer is the first of the water signs and is therefore emotional and mercurial (like a river or a stream). Feelings are real, but may not always seem rational… until we can identify the underlying, unmet need connected to a particular feeling.

We all have needs — a need for love or approval, for control (or for not feeling out of control — this can also show up as our need for autonomy and independence), for safety and security, for human connection (or a heart connection) to a living being.

Our feelings reflect whether our needs are being met. Feeling happy, peaceful, and open indicates that our needs are being met. When we feel “negative emotions” (e.g. stressed, depressed, angry/frustrated, etc.) it’s clear that at least one important need is not being met.

If you are feeling any of the latter emotions, ask yourself: Which of my needs is not being met at this time? Am I lacking (and therefore “wanting”) approval, love, control, safety, or security? Am I wanting to feel connected, closer, or do I want to be separate? And whichever one it is, could I let go of “wanting” that, just for this “now-moment”?

In other words, could I let go of the idea that I am lacking something? Would I? In other words, am I willing to let go, just as best as I can, just for right now? When? (This last question is an invitation to let go right here, right now).

By the way, if you enjoyed those questions, or are intrigued, they come from The Sedona Method – a set of processes I use extensively in my coaching work, that is very subtle and powerful. For more info about my Coaching-Healing sessions, click here.

Now, let’s take a look at the polarities involved with this Full Moon… to read the whole Full Moon article and get access to all the Coaching Questions in writing, click here.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following placements: 26-29 degrees of Cancer, Capricorn, Aries, and Libra or 0 degrees of Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius, or Taurus? If so, you are more affected by this month’s Full Moon. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Also on Monday evening, at 6:48pm EST as the Full Moon becomes exact, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that will last for a little over 4 hours, until 11:03pm EST. You may be feeling a need for the familiar and comfortable, for emotional connection and the nurturing of a safe home life — while also experiencing a desire to accomplish career goals, worldly accomplishments and success, and even worldly status. Use this intuitive time to balance those needs.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan all of Monday evening ahead of time.

Monday late evening, at 11:03pm EST, the Moon moves into fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until Thursday morning. We may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising. We all love to be admired — or at the very least acknowledged — for our greatness 🙂

So hand out some compliments — let people know how proud you are of them, tell them how much you love them. Come from the heart in this and all other things… be honest and authentic, as best you can. Fun, games, and romance are a big part of this energy as well. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones.

If there are no “outer children” around, how about getting in touch with your “inner child” — it’s definitely easier for the next two days. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps and heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, you let out a tiny squeak, just thinking of it?

Also, on Monday, Mercury resumes its normal pace through the sky, ending its Station — but moving backward through the sky, as seen from Earth (that’s what “retrograde” refers to).

We have a chance to do some internal work on any thinking and/or communication issues that came up over the last couple of weeks — especially those connected to like-minded people, groups, and networks (locally or online). How can you stay curious and open-minded about thoughts that come through from your inner genius? How might you honor your own unique thoughts?

You can also ask yourself: What needs to be addressed with regards to any group experiences, humanitarian causes, or technology? What do I need to learn about my affiliations with like-minded people over the next 8 days? If I knew I actually could make a difference, where would I begin?

Tuesday, Jan. 18th:

Tuesday, the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo all day (see Monday late evening for details).

Tuesday early morning, an opportune Mercury/Chiron aspect becomes exact (at 5:04am EST) for the second time in the last 8 days, due to the Mercury Retrograde phase. We started to feel this aspect build from Friday (Jan. 7th), and it will remain strong until this Thursday morningWe have an opportunity to bring healing energy to our concrete minds and to our thoughts. We also have a chance to heal insecurities in our verbal, in-person, social media, or email interactions.

We are better able now to tune out that automatic/critical inner voice, in favor of more loving and compassionate structures for thinking and communicating. By bringing love and understanding to our thinking processes, we have a chance to move beyond entrenched habits, like “impatient self-talk”, or the use of aggressive language (swear words for example).

Here are a few good “chew toys” for your mind at this time: What was your family’s attitude towards communication? Toward speaking up for yourself? What if you tried a kinder approach for a bit? Does your inner dialog really have to repeat what they said when you were 3 or 5 years old? What if you tried using a gentler voice for the next ten minutes or so?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 7-11 degrees of Aquarius, Aries, Gemini, or Sagittarius? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo).

Tuesday late morning, at 10:27am EST,  Uranus comes to a halt in almost 11 degrees of Taurus, turning direct again after its 5-month retrograde phase. We’ve had 5 months to re-evaluate certain things: humanitarian goals, group causes, issues around freedom (possibly financial freedom). We’ve also reflected on our vision for the future, and where the obstacles to that vision might lie.

We are now ready to take into the world all that we have learned over the last 5 months and make some progress. Uranus is the archetype of revolutionary change, daring us to think way, way outside of the box.

Uranus will be back to its usual speed by Jan. 30th; at that point, you could say it’s “change or be changed” — change is inevitable, so it might as well be change that you’ve chosen consciously.

We may find that we disagree with other people’s values. We may be restless, even anxious, and therefore feel pressure to act (or react) regarding others — these feelings could also be connected to financial decisions or partnerships.

Note that Uranus also rules electronics, technology and the internet; these may all be influenced by the planet’s slower movement.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 9-13 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo, or Aquarius?. If so, you felt this station phase quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aquarius (Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius).

Tuesday, at 2:50pm ESTthe Moon Nodes switch from Gemini/Sagittarius to Taurus/Scorpio; they will remain in those signs until July 17th, 2023! The last time the Moon Nodes were in these particular signs was back in April 2003 – December 2004.

The transiting Moon Nodes show us what our Soul’s Journey currently requires on the collective and personal levels — let’s take a closer look at what this means:

The goal of the collective Soul’s journey is to balance and integrate two apparently opposite energies: the honoring of the physical, material realm (symbolized by Taurus), and our ability to transform what was traumatic or disempowering with an open heart and use it as inner fuel, making it a strength, learning about the cycles of life: endings and beginnings of all kind (linked to Scorpio).

This will take looking closely at the balance between our honoring our physical, material needs and our quest for emotional authenticity and empowering connections.

This is also about being more conscious about our Shadow issues and traumas from the past. It’s important to realize that the Scorpio urge to “go deeper” is essential for our ability to understand the darker parts of our psyche; in terms of balancing these energies, that same urge plays a crucial role in how we connect with others and share our gift and talents (Taurus).

In Taurus, the North Node invites us to make an effort to…click here to read the whole article on the subject!

Wednesday late evening, at 9:39pm EST, the Sun changes signs from practical, cautious, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn to freedom-loving, forward-thinking, and objective Aquarius, where it will journey until February 18th. For the next four weeks, we have advancement and progress in our hearts.

We want to get off the beaten path, leaving behind old and outdated ways of thinking and doing, throwing off personal and social conditioning, those restrictions, limitations, and inhibitions that may once have felt safe, but now feel constraining.

Our idealism runs strong, but we can have some fixed ideas about how we want to accomplish these ideals although we are open to new ideas in theory, in practice, we may actually be quite stubborn. Finally, we are also definitely more aware of the impact each individual has on the whole of society.

All this is especially true if you are a Leo or Aquarius Sun-sign or Rising-sign. As an Aquarius, you will feel a good dose of confidence and playfulness in the next four weeks; as a Leo, you are more objective than usual working towards a vision for the future might be just the thing for you to do.

Also, on Wednesday, Venus starts to slow down again (station) — the planet’s movement through the sky appears from Earth to be slowing down; it’s actually getting ready to come to a halt (and moving direct) on Jan. 29th. The station brings all relationship, self-worth and financial issues to the forefront.

This stationing period lasts until Feb. 7th, bringing into focus what we do and don’t have; until then, we are more aware of our relationships and finances or the lack thereof. This forces us to look at who we value (including ourselves) and at what is truly important to us long-term. It’s important to pay attention now — when Venus goes direct again, we’ll get a chance to address and resolve all these issues.

Is your Sun sign or Ascendant in Taurus or Libra? Or do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10-14 degrees of Capricorn, Cancer, Aries or Libra? If so, you will feel a stronger connection to this Venus station.

Thursday, Jan. 20th:

Thursday, the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo until 9:02am EST (see Monday late evening for details).

Thursday very early morning, at 3:15am EST, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that will last for almost 6 hours, until 9:02am EST. Use this intuitive time to get excited about an adventure: you have an opportunity to connect, explore, and become part of something exciting.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday very early morning until the late morning ahead of time.

Thursday, at 9:02am EST, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Saturday early evening; turning our focus toward the practical and wholesome. We are generous with our time/services and we love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world — things and knowledge we can apply and use.

Health might also come into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals.

Thursday evening, calls for some inner adjustments. We feel uneasy or awkward and need to make a choice. Making this choice demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: on the one hand, the desire to connect with like-minded people in connection with humanitarian causes — and on the other hand, the need to tend to our daily routines or health routines.  (Moon in Virgo quincunxes Mercury in Aquarius, exact at 8:55pm EST)

Friday, Jan. 21st:

Friday, the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Thursday morning for details).

Friday all day and Saturday until 10:30am EST, is your last chance to register for the Forecasting Forum, live tomorrow, Saturday at 11:30am EST/4:30pm London-time. Registration includes access to the mp4-video recording of the live event!

PLEASE NOTE we’ll talk about the Moon Nodes in Taurus/Scorpio (Jan. 18th, 2022 – July 17th, 2023) — in relationship to our own birth charts. The Moon Nodes represent our Soul’s Journey – collectively and individually speaking.

To ask a question in advance; please email me by Jan. 21st at midnight EST,… and if I don’t have it yet, send me a copy of your Birth Chart (If you have done a Reading or Coaching-Healing session with me in the past, or if you have already emailed me a copy of your chart, I will have it. If none of this applies to you, send me a pdf of your birth chart).

Other than booking a reading with me, this is the highest level of support you can get — and it’s only $37 for the 90+ minute webinar.

(Star Members will receive an email today – Jan. 21st – in the early afternoon EST, and tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 22nd, an hour before the live event begins, with the link to join live).

Friday very early morning, calls for some inner adjustments. We feel uneasy or awkward and need to make a choice. Making this choice demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: on the one hand, the desire to heal our relationship with the inner masculine (assertiveness/anger, leadership, taking actions) — and on the other, the need to tend to our daily work or health routines. (Moon in Virgo quincunxes Chiron in Aries, exact at 1:53am EST)

Friday early morning, we are invited to connect with like-minded people and learn something new about our unique talents or value in the world. We are able to better connect to anything that requires attention to detail. We might also perhaps implement revolutionary health routines or other systems in our day-to-day life that support our values and make life more enjoyable. (Moon in Virgo trines Uranus in Taurus, exact at 5:28am EST)

Friday morning, use this time to gain clarity about what’s important to you. Ask yourself: What works for me in my daily routines? What doesn’t? What do I see now, that I can easily implement in my business relationships, that I couldn’t see before? (Moon in Virgo trines Venus in Capricorn, exact at 8:19am EST)

Friday late morning, we may experience some internal discomfort and need to make some more inner adjustments. We feel nudged toward taking responsibility and making a commitment to society, or to any humanitarian cause that will create a sustainable future for all; that said, we also feel a need to improve our daily health and work routines. Where could we use more clarity? Where do we need to take a closer look in our lives? (Moon in Virgo quincunxes Saturn in Aquarius, exact at 11:54am EST)

Saturday, Jan. 22nd:

Saturday, the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo until 5:03pm EST (see Thursday morning for details)

Saturday until 10:30am EST, is your very last chance to register for the Forecasting Forum, live today, Saturday at 11:30am EST/4:30pm London-time. Registration includes access to the mp4-video recording of the live event!

Saturday afternoon, at 2:46pm EST, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that will last for almost 2.5 hours, until 5:03pm EST. Use this intuitive time to stretch and grow — to undertake a process of adjusting your actions. You may feel a little scatter-brained or all over the map. As best as you can, stay flexible, don’t rush into anything — and don’t be too hard on yourself.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan all of Saturday afternoon ahead of time.

Saturday at 5:03pm EST, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until next week, Monday late evening (Jan 24th). The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.

We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time, and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. These next two days are a great time for mediation — but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might like.

We may also be able to see both sides of the equation so well that we can’t make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm — even if it’s “No” 😉

One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.

Lastly, I also want to mention that my BIG 2-week Sale ends TOMORROW (Jan. 23rd) at midnight ESTUse Discount Coupon (EVERYTHING4LESS) for all Readings, all online Soul-Based Astrology courses, all single Coaching-Healing sessions & packages, all of my webinars, lectures, or workshops.

Sunday early morning, a Sun/Mercury alignment in 3.5 degrees of Aquarius becomes exact at 5:28am EST. We started to feel this aspect build from Friday evening on, and it will remain strong until next week, Monday evening (Jan. 24th). This aspect indicates a confident mind and an analytical approach to life. Intelligence and communication abilities are strong at this time; however, we may not listen as well as the other speaks — we might be too busy thinking about what to say next.

Given that this alignment takes place in Aquarius, we may feel particularly cool and collected, detached even — do your best to avoid arrogance or rigidity of thought.

We want an active role in communications — it’s very hard for us to passively listen and absorb information right now. What we say or write now is impactful, so choose your words wisely: If people hung on your every word, what would you say then? What would you hold back from saying?

Our opinions are strong and our thinking independent — and we’re proud of both — so our egos may get bruised if we don’t feel “heard”. As best as you can, express yourself fully, knowing that others may have a different opinion and that’s ok.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 0-7 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Scorpio, or Taurus? If so, you will be more affected by this alignment. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo, Gemini, or Virgo (the Sun rules Leo; Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo)

Also, on Sunday, the Venus Station intensifies until Feb. 4th, as the planet slows down even further. As I already mentioned in Wednesday’s post about Venus’ Station, she is preparing to come to halt next week, Saturday, Jan. 29th (ending her 6-week retrograde phase). During this intensified station, we feel Venus’s energies even more strongly.

For the next 12 days, pay extra close attention to anything “in your face” around what you do and don’t have. We are now more aware of our relationships and finances or the lack thereof. This forces us to look at who we value (including ourselves), and at what is truly important to us long-term. It’s important to pay attention now — when Venus goes direct again (on Jan. 29th), we’ll get a chance to address and resolve all these issues.

Things could feel “off” or stagnant in our one-on-one relationships or with our finances, so it might be a good idea to cut yourself and others some slack for the time being; going with the flow is definitely recommended too, especially since Mercury will be Retrograde as well…

Some of us will feel the effects of the Venus station more than others: those of us who have Taurus or Libra as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant); and those of us with personal planets in 9-13 degrees of  Capricorn, Cancer, Aries, or Libra.

And…

A heads up for next Monday (Jan. 24th): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra until 10:57pm EST; at which time, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until next week, Thursday very early morning. At 7:53am EST, Mars changes signs from Sagittarius to Capricorn; and at 5:10pm EST, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for almost 6 hours, until 10:57pm EST. More about all the details in next week’s forecast : )

Full Moon in Cancer — the article

On Jan. 17th, at 6:48pm EST the Moon opposes the Sun in almost 28 degrees of CancerThe entrance of the Moon into Cancer late in the morning of Jan. 15th begins the energetic build up towards this Full Moon.

Relationships of all kinds are highlighted during this time — but with this Full Moon, there is a particularly strong emphasis on family- and business-relationships. If you are already a Member of my online community, feel free to click here and watch my Full Moon video for more details.

Before we get started, I just want to remind everyone of my BIG 2-week Sale on my website; it started on Jan. 8th and continues until the 23rd.

There is a Discount Coupon (EVERYTHING4LESS) that you can use for all Readings, all online Soul-Based Astrology courses, Coaching-Healing sessions, all of my webinars, or workshops.

Lots of planets are involved in this Full Moon chart — Mercury and Venus are both Retrograde, while Uranus is exalted, and will come to a halt only 15.5 hours after the Full Moon becomes exact. Neptune supports the integration of the Full Moon polarity, while Pluto intensifies it; Saturn (the ruler of Capricorn) aligns with Mercury in Aquarius and both square an exalted Uranus in Taurus… and all play an important role, so buckle up!

We all have needs. For example: we all have a need for love or approval, for control (or not feeling out of control), a need for safety or security, for human connection or a heart connection to a living being, and a need for autonomy or independence.

And whichever one it is, could I let go of “wanting” that, just for this now moment?

In other words, could I let go of the idea that I am lacking something? Would I? In other words, am I willing to let go, just as best as I can, just for right now? When? (This last question is an invitation to let go right here, right now).

By the way, if you enjoyed those questions, or are intrigued, they come from The Sedona Method – a set of processes I use extensively in my coaching work, that are very subtle and powerful. For more info about my Coaching-Healing sessions, click here.

Now, let’s take a look at the polarities involved with this Full Moon…

Now, let’s take a look at the polarities involved with this Full Moon: The Moon in protective, feeling-oriented Cancer opposes the Sun in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn.

We have a heightened sense that something must be brought into balance and reintegrated; the balance in question is between the experience of our personal feelings and emotional needs (symbolized by Cancer), versus our outer obligations or material, practical goals (Capricorn).

It’s important to realize that we all have limitations and challenges in life — and when we approach those in a nurturing way, taking care of our feeling body and inner baby, and allowing ourselves to receive support from family or “familiar” connections”, we are more likely to overcome those challenges and be realistic about limitations — our own, and other people’s.

Ask yourself: How am I balancing the demands of my outer and inner life? Home life vs. career? Where am I able to be mature and self-reliant — and also contribute? Where am I giving too much? Not enough?

Any Full Moon also has us look more closely at the denser vibrations or shadow components of the energies involved. Cancer must learn about receiving and developing healthy roots; Capricorn, about giving back and sharing the fruits of its labor.

With Cancer, this is also our ability feel safe from within — but what protected us in the past may no longer work — our needs may have changed over time.

Ask yourself: Where do I have the tendency to hold on to the past? Where am I holding on simply because it is familiar? Where am I resisting change?

The more we disregard our own feelings and needs, the greater the risk that we will violate the concerns and rights others.

Ask yourself:  What happens when I don’t allow myself to feel my feelings or acknowledge my needs? Where do I need to shed my defenses? Where do I need to establish better boundaries? Where do I react instead of respond?

The latter question is so important that I created a webinar around it: “React vs. Respond Where in the chart can we learn about our emotional maturity?”. This webinar comes with really great handouts that are very useful for understanding your own relationship to emotional maturity.

If you haven’t seen it yet, click here for more info! Remember: This webinar is discounted until Jan. 23rd with discount coupon EVERYTHING4LESS.

Let’s take a look at some other aspects of this Full Moon chart, starting with the most exact ones: The Sun is in a very close alignment with Pluto in Capricorn

As the third earth sign, Capricorn (at its highest vibration) seeks to create forms that are based on spiritual truths — that all matter is composed of energy, and it is our collective duty to use all energy responsibly.

Ask yourself: What am I likely to manifest in my own world, given the energies that are part of my creative process every day?

Pluto in Capricorn challenged us to face our fears, shift our relationship to the material plane, and reclaim our power. We are being asked to bring conscious awareness to how we use our essence and purpose out there in the world. This provides an opportunity to truly align with what brings emotional and material security to our world.

As best as you can, focus on dedication, wholeness and truth — devote yourself to your true passions, to your heart. We are more likely to want to work towards a goal, to achieve things, give form to something in the external world that aligns with those inner values and needs.

Ask yourself: What lies between me and my Authentic Self? If I let go of memories and concepts, and just look here and now, can I actually find an obstacle?

It’s also worth noting: Success and rewards will come in direct proportion to the amount of authentic passion, integrity, and maturity we bring to the world. Ask yourself: Where do I need to commit more deeply to what really matters? How authentic am I when it comes to my long-term goals? How passionate? How truthful?

The Moon is the ruler of Cancer, and is currently in its own sign, opposing not only the Sun in Capricorn, but also Pluto.

The Moon’s opposition to the Sun/Pluto alignment in Capricorn urges us to pay the same attention to our inner world as we pay to our responsibilities in the outer. Ask yourself: What are my physical- and my feeling-bodies telling me? What is “Life” trying to tell me?

What do I need to change to be better aligned with my needs? Do I need to move? Pursue another vocation? Heal something from the past? Where do I need to feel more empowered? What relationships need to be transformed? What if fear was the only thing holding me back from a fulfilling life?

This opposition also asks us to balance a loving, caring connection with ourselves and others, against our desire to achieve our long-term goals out there in the world.

As best as you can, steer by your own inner compass, and bring your authentic self to the world in a spirit of integrity and responsibility — and keep in mind, as we heal our personal history, we become a source of light and support for others.

Ask yourself: What would self-responsible self-care look like? How does my inner life inform my outer? Where is there still room for healing when it comes to my own personal history?

When we understand the Cancer energy fully, we have learned about self-care and receiving — not just giving, or helping others — while with Capricorn, we eventually learn about giving back, not just accomplishing for personal gain or reaching a higher status.

Ask yourself:  Where might the balance lie between self-nurturing and self-care, versus achieving my goals? Are those things really in conflict? Am I doing what I want to do, or what I think I “should” do?

Am I more connected to what nurtures me — or to my “shoulds”? Does my current environment/home support my inner & outer growth? Does it provide nourishing bonds with others? How does all this affect my contribution to the world? My standing in society?

And of course, as always when Cancer and Capricorn are involved: take baby-steps (or if you prefer, “take it one day at a time” 😉 Ask yourself: Why would I sprint if walking got me there at the perfect time?

Check to see where any urge toward rushing or “getting there” comes from — is that coming from a place of fear or love?

We also have some more harmonious connections to the Full Moon:

Neptune trines the Moon in Cancer and sextiles the Sun-Pluto alignment in Capricorn. This means that when we focus on the Neptune energies we have a much easier time integrating/balancing the Cancer-Capricorn energies.

Neptune symbolizes unconditional love and unity consciousness; intuition, creativity, and compassion, as well as inspirational energy through art, meditation, and/or time in nature are all connected to the Neptune energies as well.

Ask yourself: Could I look beyond the mind and tap into the larger field of energy all around me? What nourishes my soul? Could I make time for silence, surrender, and self-reflection? Even if it’s seems impossible… just a few minutes every day?

When we are in a state of “flow” and connect to others from the heart (Neptune in Pisces) we relax, and that in turn supports our ability to take care of ourselves (Cancer) and achieve our goals out there in the world (Capricorn).

Ask yourself: How might self-compassion support my practices of self-care? How might nurturing myself support true self-acceptance and self-kindness? Might it also help grant acceptance and kindness toward others? And even the world at large?

Surrendering our fears about our position in the world and our achievements gets a little easier when we trust our intuitive heart; each moment can potentially become an unfolding that empowers us to be authentically ourselves out there in the world and nurture ourselves.

Ask yourself: Is it at least possible that combining my imagination with trust in divine guidance would support me in effortlessly reaching my long-term goals? What might be possible if I also heeded subtle messages from my intuitive heart that stir me toward the kind of success that empowers me and others?

What if I brought 5% more self-compassion to every moment while working towards a balance between achievement and self-care? Could I do that just by checking in with myself from time to time?

Some other important aspects worth mentioning are: Saturn (the ruler of Capricorn) aligns with Mercury in Aquarius (currently retrograde) and both square an exalted Uranus in Taurus.

So before we go into this, let’s address the Retrograde phases & Uranus being exalted:

Mercury in Aquarius & Venus in Capricorn are both Retrograde at the time of the Full Moon, indicating that we need to look back before we can look ahead; Retrograde phases also give us a chance to go within and see if the outer aligns with the inner and vice versa. We are also getting a chance to resolve any issues connected to the planets in retrograde motion.

Ask yourself: What relationships need to be reviewed? What issues are asking to be resolved? What long-term financial goals need a second look? What are my career aspirations telling me? What needs to be brought back into balance in my life? What roles do self-responsibility and self-mastery play in all of this?

Could I permit myself to get in touch with my unique spark? What needs to be addressed with regards to any group experiences, humanitarian causes, or technology? If I knew I actually could make a difference, where would I begin?

Uranus comes to a halt (stations direct) at almost 11 degrees of Taurus on Jan. 18th and ends its 5-months Retrograde phase only 15.5 hours after the Full Moon becomes exact.

The planet’s energy is “louder” because it is moving so slowly; it will be exalted until Jan. 30th, emphasizing the Square to Saturn — this Square will not be exact again this year, but the two contrary energies of Uranus and Saturn will remain within 10º of each other for all of 2022.

It’s time to make a real – in other words, not merely cosmetic — change in at least one area of our life. Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury, increasing our access to innovative thinking and alternative solutions; its Station phase could also coincide with revelations, reversals, or other unexpected events, such as earthquakes, or severe weather.

Collectively, Uranus in Taurus adds even greater emphasis to the urgency of changing our relationship with the Earth — from domination and exploitation, to stewardship and co-creation.

Ask yourself: Looking back over the past 5 months, what have I learned about honoring my body? What about my material and financial resources? Or my talents? In what ways have I disagreed with other people’s values? Am I ready to honor my own unique approach? Where am I ready to take a big leap forward?

Now let’s get back to Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn. Saturn is currently in Aquarius, and Uranus, the ruler of Aquarius, is currently in Taurus. Uranus still squares Saturn most of 2022. A Square always invites us to find creative solutions and to stretch ourselves and grow beyond our past capabilities.

As the Saturn/Mercury alignment in Aquarius squares Uranus in Taurus at the time of this Full Moon, the next two weeks may find us becoming quite eager, both collectively and individually speaking, to make some essential changes in our lives.

We are invited to stay detached in our social dealings with others and honor our own individuality without making anyone else wrong for being different.

Since this is a Closing Square, we are looking for practical solutions; change needs to proceed from a level of maturity that is informed by our experience of what didn’t work before.

It becomes very clear with this combo that humanity’s evolution and survival lies in equality, collaboration, and respect for the Earth and all its inhabitants.

How quickly this shift happens depends on the choices each one of us makes on an individual level. It is helpful to remember that as the “old” falls away, progress is taking place, always — even if not visible to the naked eye.

Ask yourself: If I wanted to put a solid foundation under my effort to inspire collaboration in my various communities, where would I lay the cornerstone? Could I give other people’s “choosing” the space that it needs, so I can honor what’s important to me, without taking things personally?

What might a co-creative process with our planet and the Universe look like? What is my unique value in all of this?

Again, it is helpful to remember that as the old falls away, progress is taking place. Envision the world in which you wish to live and move steadily towards that.

Another big evolutionary shift that happens on January 18th, only 20 hours after the Full Moon becomes exact: the Moon Nodes will move from Gemini-Sagittarius to Taurus-Scorpio, where they will remain until July 17th, 2023!

The Moon Nodes represent our Soul’s Journey – collectively and individually speaking. This shift thus constitutes a new Soul’s Journey, one that emphasizes making more of an effort to honor ourselves, our bodies, possessions, talents, material and financial resources, our planet and its resources — in short, anything we value.

We are also invited to release or redefine our relationship to trauma stemming from our past — and also redefine our intimate relationships, death and rebirth, endings and beginnings — in other words, the cycles of life.

After Jan. 18th, ask yourself: How can I best align myself with this new collective Soul’s Journey in the Taurus-Scorpio polarity? What do I truly value? What deserves my attention, appreciation, and care? Which of my values stem from social conditioning? Which need to change?

How am I doing with owning previously denied or rejected parts of myself? What parts of myself still operate from survival strategies? Where am I still left feeling disempowered in my life? Is there a cycle in my life that is ending? What might a new beginning look like?

In our next Monthly Forecasting Forum on Saturday, Jan. 22nd, we’ll be taking a look at the Moon Nodes in Taurus-Scorpio, in relationship to our own birth charts.

For example, we will investigate what old traumas we are looking to release or become aware of, over the next 18 months. What feels disempowering and no longer relevant? What needs to be transformed, so we can thrive and feel abundant?

If you want to align yourself with this evolutionary shift, join us live, or get the mp4-video presentation of the live event. Either way, if you are not yet a Star Member, register now!

To sum it all up: Honor your feelings and needs, so you can build something of value, and share the fruits of your labor with the world. As best as you can, be kind, gentle, compassionate, and accepting of yourself — this will help balance the Cancer/Capricorn polarities.

Ask yourself: What if I brought 5% more compassion and love to every moment while working towards my achievement? Could I do that just by checking in with my physical and emotional needs from time to time?

Before we can release the old, we must become aware of it, and finish feeling any lingering emotional residues — rage, shame, hatred, jealousy, judgment— whatever has been stored in our unconscious.

This Full Moon holds a major breakthrough energy: if we are able to keep breathing, keep feeling, keep witnessing, and remember that we are all participating in an unprecedented, evolutionary shift, we can drop centuries of old programming.  We are divine beings remembering who we really are. We are learning to choose from love rather than fear.

Ask yourself: What if I trusted the timing of things just 5% more? What might result from closing my eyes for a minute or two, now and then, to take a moment with myself, to tune in and center myself?

During these next 2 weeks, self-care definitely deserves our attention… Make sure you get plenty of rest, affection, water, and healthy amounts of nutritious foods 😉

As a reminder, feel free to also watch my Full Moon video.
