On April 17th, 2018,Chiron moved from dreamy, sensitive Pisces to fast-paced, enthusiastic Aries, where it journeyed until Sept. 25th, 2018 — you could regard this as a preview of coming attractions, since Chiron moves into Aries again (after having retrograded back into Pisces for several months) on Feb. 18th, 2019 at 4:10am EST… and then stays in that sign for 8 years!
What is the significance of Chiron? It’s considered the bridge between the limitations of the physical and the unlimited nature of the non-physical (or spiritual) world. Often referred to as the “Wounded Healer”, it reminds us of our humanity — and guides us to see it as a gift.
When we take responsibility for our human limitations and move past seeing them as “wrong” or “bad”, our inner gifts and uniqueness can emerge more completely and powerfully.
Let’s look now at Chiron in Aries: The day after Chiron moved into Aries in 2018, the Sun conjuncted Uranus in that same sign. This points to the possibility that Chiron’s journey through Aries places a strong emphasis on liberation of the self — this time around. This week’s headline items: Saturn starts to slow down (aka “station”) on Monday, and this will intensify on Saturday. Mercury follows suit, beginning its own Station phase on Tuesday, that in turn intensifies on Friday (it will come to a complete halt — ending it’s retrograde phase — on Sunday morning).
In other news, the Balsamic Moon phase becomes exact on Thursday evening, and the New Moon in Aries becomes exact on Sunday, late in the evening.
And of course, the week wouldn’t be complete without some Moon VoC phases — though there are only two this week: the first on Wednesday, late in the morning (it lasts for almost 4 hours) and a longer one that starts Friday morning and runs for almost 16 hours.
Monday (April 9th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn and VoCuntil 2:50am EDT. At that point, the Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Wednesday afternoon. The energy of the Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional; interactions more impersonal than personal. We are likely to have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.

The moment Chiron moved into Aries last week, I could feel my focus shift towards the physical body; I also observed my anger in a different way. Since I have Mars (the ruler of Aries) natally in Pisces in my 4th House, I could also feel a desire to slow down…
On April 17th, 2018, Chiron moved from dreamy, sensitive Pisces to fast-paced, enthusiastic Aries, where it journeyed until Sept. 25th, 2018 — you could regard this as a preview of coming attractions, since Chiron moves into Aries again (after having retrograded back into Pisces for several months) on Feb. 18th, 2019 at 4:10am EST… and then stays in that sign for 8 years!
The theme of last week for me was that of letting go, releasing, and stepping back into my inner spark and joy, completely present to myself and with life. This felt very much in alignment with the Station phases and Chiron in that last degree of Pisces! 🙂
My inner dialog last week: “Don’t lose your shit over every little mishap, especially not when Mercury is still Retrograde in Aries, squaring Saturn in Capricorn! This too shall pass…” 😉
Last week I experienced the reintegration of some trauma, in a very powerful way (and with the support of some very powerful Evolutionary Astrologers). It was also my privilege to be with some really brilliant Astrologers and Healers over the last several days at an Astrology conference in Seattle.
For me personally, last week’s theme was trusting my heart over my conditioned mind… Seeing the wisdom and possibilities that emerge when my heart leads, seeing what is possible when “All is One” leads — realizing that the power of my love towards myself and others is greater than any fear, division, or the illusion of separation between all of our hearts.
